Penny’s, Flo’s, and Daphne’s story is very beautifully written. It’s unlike other games that starts their stories with a bang but soon becomes lackluster. I also love the star requirement to furniture ratio. Other games usually require you to use 4 stars for a tiny bit of furniture, and some even makes you wait hours and hours. I’m glad Penny and Flo isn’t like that. Thankfully, the levels don’t become impossible after hitting a certain mark. I’ve been speedrunning through the levels which is a very nice change to have. The only thing I’d like this game to have, is a system that allows the user to collect more furniture, a similar function to Machington. That aspect is the only part that makes Penny and Flo slightly lose to other big matching games.

I love this game its so addicting! The levels are fun and a little challenging but I'm close to level 200 and it hasn't gotten so impossible that you can't make any story progress. I've played a lot of games like this and they I always hit a wall and can never make anymore progress they just become all about the puzzles but this one is so great you can really get into it. 10/10 do recommend.

  • Same game as Lily’s Garden, New story Dec 19, 2020

I’ve played Lily’s Garden for over a year and love it. Love the story. Love that the game seems to know when I need boosters or a help. I don’t get stuck for days on end. It’s not too hard but not too easy. Love making everything look nice. This game is just the same. Interesting story. I like decorating the inside of the house and not just outside and gardens. I only wish the game board was so fuzzy looking. Lily’s Garden game boards have clean edges. It’s easy to see. This board seems like it’s made of squishy balloons and sometimes it’s hard to see if it’s a color or an empty bubble. Other than that, it’s great. I like that the bombs and rockets are super fast. However, nothing is more satisfying than blowing up a whole board with 100 bombs one at a time.

Just started playing and I’m really enjoying the game. As with Lily’s Garden (which I’m crazy about!), the story line is well written and compelling. The premise is intriguing and I look forward to beating the games to continue reading the story. The puzzles, to begin with, are really easy. This is great because you get hooked in to the story. As you get farther along I’m sure the puzzles get more difficult but by then you are so invested in the story that the challenge is worth it. I’ve been playing Lily’s Garden for over a year and I’m totally in love with that game. That’s the main reason why I tried Penny and Flo. You guys at Tactile really know what you’re doing. Please, keep up the good work.

I have really enjoyed the storyline but was annoyed this week to find it's a work in progress & I'd caught up to the developers. I dislike that some of the match games seem impossible to complete w/out paying for addl. chances (5 for 900), esp. above Level 400, & that they can sometimes waste my hard-earned points w/ some useless-seeming tasks. Thus no 5 stars.

NO ADS and a decent story. If I had any suggestions: the option to watch an ad to skip a level. I've been getting stuck on single levels for days at a time and it's very frustrating. I'm one star away from the end of a chapter but I can't pass the level. it feels luck based. edit: This completely ruins the game. I'm about to rip my hair out with how frustrating and frequent levels like this are. Even with AN HOUR of unlimited lives I was unable to finish the level I'm stuck on. HORRIBLE design.

Story line is good, game play is really dumb!! Hard to clear, I definately would not spend money to play!!!!!!!!! 1/8/21. Still like to play. Why do all the other games start with 5 and this one only has 4? It's just as difficult to play. 1/19/21. Liking the game more, since I got off that level. Suggestion give us something like the small shovel in Lilly garden, when you have only one to clear and you don't have 900 points

I can’t believe I’m taking the time to write this review because I have written and read these words a hundred times before. Game starts out great. So much fun. Story line is even kinda fun. Then after you are hooked the money grab starts. I don’t mind them making money from the numerous ads. Everyone should be paid for their work but this is ridiculous. You only get 4 lives to start and after a time the levels are so hard you either have to play the same one over and over and over to ever get past which takes forever with 4 lives. Unless you have nothing better to do with your time or are willing to spend a lot of cash. This game is not for you. Too bad. I thought it had real promise

I love the game but as you go on it becomes very difficult to play. My daughter finds it very difficult so do I. I have Been stuck on the same level for three days now it's very annoying I almost deleted it today. Please make it a bit friendly so that even small children who love decor can play too.

Guess what is the best part of this game? Deleting it! I played the mediocre story line and did enjoy redecorating rooms. But VERY QUICKLY it became apparent this game is candy crush in disguise. To keep moving forward you have to play the gem match game. And as the levels become impossible, you have to buy ridiculous, over-priced, power-ups or game-play extensions to continue. And I’m not opposed to spending real money. I spent $30-$40 bucks in the first week. I understand the game wants to make money and that’s good ROI right? But I’m not a sucker and I’d like to tell the universe of players out there - don’t be a sucker either! This game is greedy, in-playable after a certain level and NOT WORTH IT. DELETE, GOODBYE.

  • Amazing game but... Dec 27, 2020

    By KateO2222
Lovely game. I’ve realized you really don’t need to pay money to play. I’ve reached level 334 so far without paying a cent. If you have trouble just take a break and come back later and you’ll do fine. Anyway I love the game my suggestion though is that as the levels get more difficult and you have to spend more stars(going from spending 2 to 3) that maybe you start to gather 2 stars instead of 1 or when it’s the hazard levels you get 2 stars there instead of 1. I think that would make it more enjoyable. It’s already an amazing game though very fun and addicting, but I do think this would make winning those difficult levels even more rewarding!! :))

  • Nice graphics. Storyline is a meh. Ripped off credits! Jan 15, 2021

    By Cojaye
I like the fixing up of dilapidated neglected house. That is what I enjoyed initially about Lily’s Garden which seems to have lost direction and spends a lot of time outdoors. Still getting to know Penny and Flo. Great that they feel at home in Daphe’s house. The old lady is an old movie star, with some encroaching memory issues and a greedy daughter. Wonder what happened to Daphne’s money and why her house and furnishings are tattered and worn. The main complaint is that there seems to be a software glitch. I have lost credits or points when the game requires me to repeat an action, i.e. fix a piece of furniture for 2 points. No way to recover the points. This has happened 2-3 times.

  • Not like the ads, but fun Nov 27, 2020

    By ZapZach96
I had this issue with Lily's Garden as well, where the advertisements seem to indicate a story line that just isn't in the game itself at all. If you can get past that and past wondering what happens to the characters in the situations the ads show, the game itself is fun and a good way to pass the time. I do think some of the choices for decorations force you to go with one theme entirely or the other entirely for each room, instead of mixing and matching - nothing from one theme really fits with any of the other items from other themes. But the actual gameplay mechanics run fine for me, and I was running out of levels in Lily's Garden so I'm glad I picked this up.

I really like lily's garden and already played until 1k++ level and i like this new game too...i like its graphics and also that it is a fast pace game, for example i can skip the conversations...and i also like that it is not a swapping game...i would give it 5 stars if only it does not look too much like lily's...

The game of Penny & Flo is almost like Lily's Garden, if you like that version. Once in a while when you reach up more points, it seemed to stay stuck for a day or two. It's a good game.

The 3-D effect gives me a headache, and the areas you remodel look very low-res on my 10" tablet, especially compared to the character art, dialog boxes, and actual gameplay. That said, I'm a HUGE fan of Lily's Garden. So I'm optimistic about how this game will improve over time. I really hope that Tactile works out the kinks. I also hope that the gameplay in P&F will stay distinct from LG - I'm really digging the contrast in required strategies.

Error on level 126. Won the level and it said I had three lights left when they were already cleared. Same thing happened next try. Music doesn’t change when you win. Bomb sounds are not bomb sounds. Most of the sounds need improvement. Storyline so far is awkward, doesn’t make sense. One thing that keeps me playing Lily’s Garden is the story is reasonably plausible . Graphics are great, changes to bombs and blocks are visually interesting. Since this is following Lily’s I expected it to be better than sine much was just copied. Hopefully updates will improve things.

It is difficult for any of their games to be on the level of Lily’s Garden. I wish this one had more likable characters. Flo is well silly as is the old lady. I mean I haven’t found anything to like about her. And that dead bird thing. Why would you put this in this game? So not good. I almost deleted the app. You know the house is coming together however it has the feel of playing in a doll house with no ceiling or roof. With Lily it is so much easier to get lost in the story. Granted the gardens helped as they are so colorful. Penny is okay except well her eyebrows man they need a trim

I don’t really like the music as I feel like I’m listening to some bad 80s music and if I turn off the music, it’s way too quiet. I also don’t like the design choices. I feel like no matter what you pick the next set of choice do not go with any of the previous choice. Otherwise I do like to actual game of matching. The story is kind of odd where it jumps into planning a wedding with a bride with cold feet, stops and starts fixing a random house they crashed into. It need better background and flow of the story.

as a big fan of lily's garden, i was super excited to see a new game from tactile! however, the quality of the UI is lackluster at best. the PNG images of the characters are blurry and out of focus - the font and overall color scheme is bland and doesn't seem to stand out, and it looks like a very watered down lily's garden. it looks like the game is still pretty new, so i'll keep giving it a chance, but i think this game is not quite polished yet.

  • Good game ugly furniture Dec 1, 2020

    By Luney
Updated review—-starting to find the game boring. The freaking furniture and designs are hideous at best. Contemplating deleting this game but I play it when I get through Lilly’s Garden and waiting for updates for the next chapter. Designing the mansion isn’t fun for me. At all. Everything is just so ugly. I wouldn’t let people in my house if I had any of that stuff. Whoever designs for Lily’s Garden needs to do this one. Great game. But the furniture??? Sooo ugly. I want to create a beautiful mansion but it’s not happening. Did I mention the ugly furniture? Can’t get over it. It’s bad.

    By norman is awsome
This game is fun in the beginning however you will stay on a level for sometimes days if you don’t buy packages. I’m up to level 361 and it is a slow go! You get levels to complete that are impossible to complete. Example... on a level you will get like 30helmets that need to be eliminated but you can’t because they have to be eliminated by bombs or arrows or some such( u can’t match next to them) and you only get like 3arrows!

  • How much time do you want to spend on stupid? Jan 17, 2021

    By Diz-Junkie
It’s a sequel to Lily’s Garden, but just doesn’t have the same magic. Way too many ‘special’ pieces; sometimes I even forget how to make them work. And the most gawd-awful design choices! The storyline starts with a stupid opening (wedding) and just keeps heading south from there; all over the place. You may see some familiar faces from Lily’s Garden, but the connection isn’t there. Definitely don’t see me playing much longer.

    By miligalicuty
I look for games for children to play, that are fun and somewhat of a challenge. This game was fun until around the 500 level, then it required a lot of money to advance in levels or keep trying the same level numerous times to try and advance one more level. I like games that are a challenge, i don’t like the ones that make it almost impossible to advance. This one is almost impossible to advance after higher levels, i do not recommend it.
