At least you have screen time
By Umm hi bruhOk I read the reviews on this and almost all of them are one star 😂 but I get why parents would want us to have this, it’s mostly so they make sure what we are doing isn’t bad and that we aren’t using too much time. I mean before you write a review you have ya at least look at why your parents actually got this. I mean look on the bright side at least you get screen time. I know some of your parents might not give you a scheduled time but STILL at least you have a phone. I get an hour a day and that’s fine with me but just I get a lil mad when it blocks me so one thing I’d want you to add is a reminder so when you have thirty minutes left, fifteen, five, four, three, two, and one minute left. So I know when I am about to be blocked. So then I can finish the important stuff i was going to do. I have parental controls on my Nintendo switch, computer, and my phone. And OurPact is the only one that doesn’t have a reminder. I hope you consider adding this. And also the people that are complaining that they have OurPact on their phone, why are you writing a review that you are mad that you still have it? Like how is writing a review going to help you? If you want it off the only way you are going to be able to get it off is to talk to the person that put it on there.

Read the full review, if the developers are reading this please
By DatBoiMemeoligistYes, i am a teen using this app. And yes, i do deeply hate this app. However, i do understand it’s purpose and it does it’s job very well. This review is solely to try to fix some bugs that really inconvenience me every day with this. The main bug that is that whenever my phone gets disabled, it turns off notifications for everything. I understand not getting notifications when i’m not supposed to. However, when it gets reenabled, i have to go through all of my apps and reenable the notifications. Also, with some apps like Instagram, it completely removes the option to turn notifications back on. I can fix it by reinstalling it, however the same problem occurs whenever my phone gets disabled and reenabled. I don’t completely know if this can be fixed without affecting other things, however, it would be amazing if the developers that make this app could fix it. Other than that, the app does everything it was meant to do. It is a well designed and developed app, with very few bugs. In fact, i can’t think of any other bugs off the top of my head. As i said before, i really don’t like the app, but does any teen that this app is being used on really enjoy it? It does its job finely, and the developers deserve props for it.

Please read
By jb_beatzMy parents installed OurPact like 6 months ago. Honestly, I really don’t like it because it won’t let me text my friends, or have access to tons of other apps that I like. Being a teen, you guys know how hard that can be... Still though, I’m partly glad my parents have it because it does limit my screen time and even though I don’t like to say it, it kind of should be limited. In the end, your parents are just putting it on your phone because they love you, and they want what’s best for you. This can mean taking screen time away, but sometimes you have to just trust that your parents are right, even when it’s hard. I am annoyed that my parents installed ourpact, but I’m thankful because I know that they’re doing it because they love me. A few suggestions I would recommend you change though: please put reminders for when our screen time is out. Like if we have 10 minutes left, have a notification pop up so we know. it would be nice for if I’m on a call or something so I know when to wrap it up. Also, maybe change it so there’s an option to make it so whenever your not on your phone the screen time pauses. I just say this because sometimes I forget to pause my time, and then I have no time left. Thanks!

Does What Its Supposed To, Stop Whining
By PaintedIrisI’ve gone through a lot of the reviews, and honestly it sounds like a bunch of spoiled children crying about how they don’t get what they want. Yes, it can be annoying. Why have a phone when you can’t use it when you want? It’s so you can actually have an actual LIFE outside of devices. If your parents are always on their phones, and you feel it’s unfair, I get it. I have that situation too, but there are plenty of other things to do to keep busy. And I’m on the older teen spectrum that has this app being used. If you’re on the younger spectrum (middle school and lower), I suggest you give it a chance and ask your parents for some help understanding it. Trust me, it makes a lot more sense as you’re older and have work, school, and are learning to/already can drive. The only issue I have with this is the fact I have to organize my home screen through the app rather than how I normally might. I get it’s probably to stop kids from deleting this app, but it’s quite annoying to fix everything when my deleted apps (a lot of the pre-downloaded ones I don’t use) still appear in the app and not on my home screen. It’s something I can get used to though.

Good for parents not for kids
By gooooooogirlsOkay so the app is okay. My parents have it on my phone and I get taking away the apps when I’m not paying attention or not answering calls. The only annoying thing with that is that sometimes I can’t answer the phone cause my phone is dead, set to do not disturb(due to being at school), or not being able to reach the phone ( sleeping, hanging info with friends/family). Whenever the apps get taken away, my apps return in a weird order and it takes me a while to set them back. Occasionally, our pact will take away my apps at random times even when my mom didn’t activate the lock. I feel that this is a great app for kids that are young and need to control their screen time and that are unfocused in school and are univolved in sports etc. But as a kid that is 13 and has straight a’s and is in numerous sports, I feel that I don’t need the app. I can use the phone responsibly. I have nothing really against the app, I mean they cannot control the age that you have the app installed on your phone at. It is a great concept for younger and less responsible kids. The only annoying things are when the app glitches and having it installed at my age.

READ!!
By eyeconickkkOk I get most kids with this app hate it and i am a kid who deeply hates it too but, It’s not a bad! Honestly it’s good for screen management and keeps your child safe. Most of your reviews discuss how you hate how it blocks your phone, But its a good investment and it was smart to create this app.

Pretty effective.
By Naga WolfAs the child who needs to have this I do have a bias but I would like to say that there needs to be a way for different apps to have different time limits. I need to access certain apps after the device locks down but I am unable to due to the mechanics. If we could get that as a feature that would be great! It also reorganizes all of the apps after it locks down, very inconvenient. Of that could also be fixed that would be great!

From a Parent
By jenpwnzAs a parent, I have found the low rating is mostly from disgruntled teens. This app is great for my young child to control screen time. I’ll be using it as long as I can.

Great for kids and parents
By CovAngel2Great controls but make sure to check not to let kids delete apps because my GENIUS!!! Deleted the ap so he could get on. Another time he snuck in my room and used my face recognition while I was asleep. And gave himself access to apps I blocked and gave himself more time. Lol

Great for Androids, Horrible for Iphone
By Michelle HayesI am a parent who loved the app for a year. We switched to iphones for our kids and now the app's main feature does not work. I can not get a refund and you can't speak to a person on a phone for support. You must go back and forth through email which took 2 hours. Very disappointed and waste of money. The app always had glitches but now its worse.

This app is the most frustrating thing my parents have ever decided to do
By MAs a 13 year old, I find this app invading, unfair, and extreme. My parents always praise this app it’s upsetting. It has put a huge strain on my relationship with my family because if I slip up and say one thing with a slight attitude, everything is taken away. And even if I have good behavior, the controls still stand. And the screenshots are an extreme invasion of my privacy. If you are a parent and are considering getting this for your teen, respect them and don’t download this app.

Explanation for the 4-5 star raters
By clucker chickOk some people are complaining about this app beacause those parents are on the un reasonable side, not beacause they are spoilt They can’t talk to their friends, play games for more than an hour and they have good behavior and are confused why their parents are blocking their apps. It is understandable if you like this app, but please do not put down the people who don’t

Needs updates, otherwise the app is great!!
By .kenna.Hello, I have had Ourpact for about 2 years now. I think that this app is great for parents! I must say it’s not my favorite because I can’t move any of my apps, but I can see how it is a good app for parents. I think as a parent it is great to know where your kid is and to punish them when they do something bad (by turning off their phone or certain apps). But, I am not writing the review about all that. I think that Ourpact really needs to update some things. There are a bunch of apps that don’t load in Ourpact and they can’t be sorted into a certain place on your screen. I also think that Ourpact needs to keep up with the IOS updates. The IOS 14 update recently came out and I don’t like how I can’t have the new widgets out on my screen. I think that we should have the ability to move around the stuff on our screen without having to go into the app. There is also this new bug since the last update that has made it so I cannot move or delete any of my apps. I really want this to be fixed! Other than that the app is absolutely great! I hope you take my ideas into consideration! Thank You!!!

3 stars is enough :)
By Nyemah5As much as I hate having a screen time limit I do understand why you created OurPact. Since iPhones/iPads where created a lot of people are glued to their screens. But the thing is whenever I use the app organizer it kicks me out of the app before I can change it. Today and many times before than it wont even let me save it. But sometimes it works. Also whenever it doesn’t work my mom changes the settings so I can edit my home screen and for some reason it won’t work. One time when my screen time wasn’t on it worked only for a minute. Please fix the glitch because it makes me pretty annoyed. Also this weird thing happened yesterday when I was turning on my screen time and usually takes a good 15 seconds but today it took 2 hours! I was waiting for it to turn on and after 5 minutes I checked the app and my screen time was running but the only apps I had were FaceTime, messages, camera and other things I need for school. I asked my mom to fix it and she said it was probably because all my apps were set to be disabled when I had screen time but there was a check right next to all of them! It works now but I don’t know what happened.

I won’t complain, but…
By xDEVILx BruhAs someone older than thirteen years of age, I believe that this app is a large invasion of privacy by tracking which apps to use. As someone who has anxiety and other social disorders, I am constantly worrying about my guardians checking what apps I am using. Although anyone under eighteen isn’t protected by this privacy invasion policy. My other point is the app organizer. As someone with a large OCD problem, my apps getting disorganized hugely distresses me. Especially when the app organizer doesn’t include all apps, such as offloaded apps and the translator app that comes with the new IOS update. And another point regarding the Ourpact app for parents, there has been some bugs on there as well for my guardians, such as my safari app still being accessible. I think the app does its job well, maybe too well, and I definitely think tracking each and every app the child uses is an invasion of privacy for anyone over the age of thirteen, and that’s how it works for Apple’s screen time extension as well. However, I’m not very educated in using this app and there may very well be a policy that I haven’t read yet. I strongly suggest the developers fix these problems.
