Actually calming (or exciting, depending on how you play) game. Maybe a bit addicting (not sure why people think thats a good thing). Pretty much everything people complain about has a good option for. Dont like the timer? You can disable it. Pictures get hard to distinguish? You can swap the picture set at any time. Dont like the ads? You absolutely do not have to monthly subscribe to remove them — theres a button in settings that allows you to permanently disable ads for a one time price for like two bucks. Theres no options for bombs but i like them cause they keep you strategizing and i like the time pressure. If you dont like them, theyre not that frequent and its easy to remove them with shuffles, which you can also earn very easy. I like the variety of levels. Its nice going from a super hard, dense board to an easy one as a break. But it does get repetitive. Maybe i will get bored someday but right now the simplicity is a major plus, especially compared to all the other cheap puzzlers out there (no i dont want a garden or a quest board or a lengthy tutorial in every single game, crazy right?). Also the sountrack is beautiful (an additional track would be nice tho, as well as more sound effect volume control) and the art reminds me of I Spy books. Fav puzzler so far.

This game is great! It’s challenging, but not so that it is impossible. My one and only gripe ( which will probably cause me to delete this game) is the ADs. If the level is easy, you will see an AD after every 1-2 minutes. If the level is hard, it might be 3-5 minutes before the next ad. If the level is extra hard, after 5-7 minutes, the level times out and then AD. If you beat the level........AD. I just timed my play, and it went like this: 1 minute of play/30 second AD. 1 min. 15 seconds play/30 se. AD. 40 sec. play/5 sec. AD. 60 sec. play/30 sec. AD 4 min. play/5 sec. AD 1 min. 30 sec. play/30 sec. AD. The game does randomly skip to the next level without an AD but those times are very rare. Pretty much at the beginning of the game(level 1-4, and then very rare from then on out. I understand why there is ads, but, for 8 minutes of playing time, I sat through 2 minutes and 10 seconds of 5-30 second ADs. Ridiculous. If it was my app, I would make it so that when you clear the level , there is a 5 sec. ad..If the level is cleared in one attempt, no ad. If the level times out before you are finished, 30 sec. ad. The way it’s done now, the annoyance of the ads outweighs the pleasure of the game. And 9.49monthly or 3.49 weekly, in my opinion is way too much. Just my opinion. P.S. Interactive ads would be better.

  • Bombs & no time limit Nov 3, 2019

    By Spncrs mum
I like playing. I have 3 issues. 1-I’m not asking for access to all the themes. I would like to turn off/on the ones I do have access to though. The buttons to do so are not locked. Yet, when I try to turn one off, it takes me to the screen for the weekly/monthly deal. Some themes even show a little crown as the on/off switch, designating those are the premium access. Fine, but I want to access the ones that are shown as open/useable to me. 2-Same as others’ complaints- it does an auto shuffle with available pairs still showing. Tolerable, but not fair. 3-It gives me the option to not use a timer. I have this on so I can relax & not feel rushed. Yet, so many times it adds a bomb! What do you think a bomb is?! Another version of a timer! If you don’t match the bomb to get rid of it or pass it on again to the next pic, it ends the game! Then you either start over or watch a video to continue without a bomb. I’ve had 1 bomb, & up to 5 bombs in one game! It’s hypocritical to allow me to choose no timer, but still make me use a bomb! And I can’t get rid of them unless I match or wait for it to blow up & watch a video.

A very mindless game, perfect for playing while commuting, on the bus, waiting for someone or something etc. Easy play, but not unchallenging, with ads removed most times i don't need to watch commercials, unless you don't ďefuse the bomb! A basic match two game, but don't think it's a pushover, the concept is easy, playing it is a different matter!

I love this game so much but the ads are ruining it lately. When you end a level, the game shows you what you earned. Before you can receive it, you have to watch an ad. (Wasnt a problem until recently) some ads will let you skip after a few seconds but lately if you try to skip the ad it takes you to google and then when you try to go back to the game it restarts onnect and you loose everything you earned on the previous level. Very frustrating. I love the game other than that.

I got charged for the monthly subscription on sept 28th where I'm suppose to get a few perks or whatever for a month. The next day I canceled the monthly subscription thinking I would still get the upgrade for the month I just paid for. I emailed the developer and haven't heard anything back. I think I deserve a refund for paying for a whole month and only getting it for 1 day. RIP OFF. . They haven't even tried to get back in touch with. Y'ALL SUCK!!!!

First of all, excessive amount of ads which is just annoying. Second, I wouldn’t buy this game (to get rid of the ads) because of the glitches. I’ve lost (and had to watch ADS to continue) because all of a sudden, the game doesn’t acknowledge matches. It happens most often on the moving “block set” games (where the pieces move in a block set). I’m fairly fast but lose so much time because you HAVE to wait for the set to stop moving/can only match ONE pair in each set unless you want the game to break. I took screenshots. It doesn’t allow actual matches - says you are wrong. Even when the hint tells you it’s a match. And then a few times it’s had ONE block left over. One! How is that even possible?? I couldn’t win the game and had to reset the app and then lost my whole game progress and had to redo the set. I’ve also completed entire sets in about 20 seconds and still have never filled the entire bar up to get all of the free hints/scrambles. Seems impossible to fill the bar.

I don’t mind in ap ads rather than buying a no ad ap but this ap has gotten out of control with aps. Not only do I now have to watch ads after more than half the games, I also have to put up with the distraction of ads in the banners at the bottom of the screen while I am playing the match game. Many of these are action ads and are extremely distracting. Another thing I don’t care at all for are ads that the user is expected to participate in. Gone are the days when you can just watch the occasional ad and get back to enjoying the game. I’m a person who likes a challenge but not an impossibility. So, when a bomb is placed where it is impossible to make a match or when I match one pair including the bomb and then another bomb and another are created so ultimately you get to one you can’t match, then it loses the challenge because it’s impossible. I’m seriously thinking of deleting the ap because it’s reached the point where I’m not getting the enjoyment from the ap that I used to.

Very challenging. After my accident I had a major brain concussion . This game is better than most of the brain therapy I have had. I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes a real challenge . Some puzzles are easy and some take three or more time redos. Thank you so much for a well thought out product. I tell people all the time about this game. Oh and The bombs are a perfect touch

A cute game that doesn't punish you for errors... Having played about 1900 levels, my only complaints are that some of the image sets are annoying (eg emojis) and that there is no way to see the image under a bomb after a while... Maybe it could be added in the corner, since otherwise it's easy to forget what it is, and then BOOM :)

  • Surprisingly fun! Feb 12, 2020

After reading the reviews I almost didn’t download the game. I am so glad I did! It is very similar to mahjong with some challenges, like moving tiles. I don’t mind the ads in between the games. They do get annoying when they play after pausing the game. I think I have worked up to somewhere in level 40 or so and plan to keep going. It was a bit confusing on how to play at first, but I figured it out. If there was a help button with directions I couldn’t find it. The basic goal is to connect a line between two identical pictures. Be warned, several pictures can look quite similar. There doesn’t seem to be a penalty for clicking on the wrong picture (thank goodness). It is timed, but if you run out of time you can watch an ad and add more time to the clock. I say take a chance and download, you can always delete it later if you don’t enjoy it.

  • Addicting game, with a few flaws Jan 1, 2020

    By A-M Brac
First off, I want to say that I’m super addicted to this game. That being said it does have a few flaws.. The first issue that I have is that the bomb timer starts during the ads so the bomb card can be half gone by the time you actually get to start to play the game, which means that with certain pictures you can’t even tell what they are to even find the match. The second issue I have is that I wish there was a spot in the corner or something showing what the bomb card is because I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve had to restart a level because I can’t remember what the bomb card actually was in the first place.. Other than those few issues this game is amazing and extremely addictive!

Not overly difficult and doesn't grow with you, but fun way to kill time. Scores dont seem to correlate with how many times you extend the time or much else. Would have given 4 or 5 stars, but Quicen loans ad has been crashing for 2 days so I can never collect the prizes at the end. Ads seem to be more reliable recently and I'm still playing it months later, so raised the score to 4 stars.

Will update this review to 4 1/2 star. I do enjoy the challenge of this game but still think there needs to be a little more time given for the bombs. Also, if the developers even care....I'm really sick of the one sided political adds being pushed down my throat after every level! Game apps are not the place for this and I doubt if I'll play again till after election.

  • Misleading Ads; Fun, Pay-to-Play Apr 19, 2020

    By CarieFitzi
I downloaded this after watching a couple ads in other games/apps & on social media. The ads & promos for Onnect are misleading, as the boards are neatly set up like typical memory games and/or Mahjong rather than the random heap of tiles/cards/images as depicted in the ads. Not a huge deal, because obviously it’s easier to find pairs in a formatted board versus a heap. Plus, it’s possible that the board changes as players progress in the game. I played a few rounds & while it is fun, there is a lot left to be desired. The rules are simplistic - match images - but don’t exactly follow Mahjong rules. Sometimes a pair successfully matches that is blocked by other tiles/images & sometimes the game won’t accept a pair made that way. Rounds are pretty quick, depending on ability and play style, which normally wouldn’t be too much of a problem, but there is at least one, sometimes two 30-second ads between rounds. I get it - developers like to be paid for their services/work, especially in free games. But again I’d rather pay up front for a game - even take a risk on quality/enjoyment - than spend more time watching ads than actually playing a game. Features like image selection are set up to look like players have the freedom to make those choices but only when subscriptions are purchased. Again, I get it, but it’s misleading & frustrating. Overall, it’s fun but frustrating and there are plenty of other games out there to try instead.

This game is a lot of fun, I find myself playing for hours sometimes. But, there is an ad after every single level. And the only way to get rid of them is to pay a $10 monthly fee. I understand why ads are necessary but this app uses WAY too many of them. I would be happy to pay a one time fee to remove ads, but having to pay that much monthly is not something I am willing to do.

I love these puzzles but they need to add some features to make it more of a game. For example, you accumulate points as you make matches but there’s no reason. The points don’t earn you any rewards (such as a hint or extra time on a bomb. These are only gained by watching an ad). It doesn’t even keep track of high scores or anything point related. Why bother even keeping a point total? While you do “win” by solving puzzles, you don’t progress in any way. Most games have levels or different features/obstacles as you progress through the game. It’s just endless puzzles that don’t go anywhere. You have no idea how many puzzles you’ve solved, how many you solved on the first try, etc. No stats whatsoever. I can’t even figure out what the little icons are that appear when you win. The game is far more challenging than I expected but it would be improved if it went somewhere.

  • Goes to black Dec 19, 2019

I’m addicted to the race with the clock / find stuff games... so this on is most compelling BUT the images are very tiny for visually impaired older folks so it hurts even with glasses. I played for a month had an upgrade then every 3 or 4th screen it crashes to dark gray or black... there are so many ads it’s a drag to wait for longer than you actually play. Everyone is correct... far too many ads... I can’t play now because the screen is frozen on one. It usually allows the ad to finish before freezing up. Curious why it won’t let obvious matches be made but now that I’ve read I’m not alone it’s just flawed. I do like to play a bit longer than your game allows due to these goes to black or frozen moments. I lose interest and will go back to Mahjong. THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK. SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.... is not an actual answer. I keep having to return to the same feedback from last month. This game can go for an hour or more of exciting smooth playing ... then go to gray .... and lock up for hours/ days even. I was right in the middle of a great game the bomb goes takes me to an ad then back to a dark gray that will stay that way for awhile. It’s so frustrating that Ivd gone to others to find a replacement It happens as often as the bad ads for the Lenovo Yoga laptop are shown. Not every time but often enough that I’ve just shut the game down the moment that ad comes up.

Can't close ads, they go directly to Google play or the advertisement page. Too many problems with this game. Not like the ads advertising the game.

Love this game. I would play it all the time but after a short time the ads hang up my iPad. Or I watch the ad and then the button to resume the game is greyed out and there is noway to kove forward but to shut down the iPad completely. When you go back to the game, you have to start anew. Eventually it gets so bad the only option is to uninstall it and reinstall. I’ve done that a few times now but it’s getting old and it won’t be long before the hassle to play the game is not worth it. Update: took away a star. They recently did an update and now it’s even worse. You get a notice that no videos are available and a 5 second count down. It says no videos and adds 5 seconds to the count down making it 10 seconds. Gets to the end and notice that says no videos, adds an additional 5 seconds and on and on. This game is officially so annoying that I am deleting it for good. Great idea for the game but terrible execution and way too many ads.

After playing for the first time, an ad came up (as they do in many of these games). I watched what I “had to” before shutting down the ad to resume play. Played the next round. Rules were different than the first - sometimes the tiles stay where they are, regardless of other tiles around them being removed, other times they drop, other times they move in different directions. I think I was able to play about 5 rounds. A couple of times, after playing a round, an ad would come up, and then the screen would go to black - either on its own, or because I used the “x” at the top of the screen. Once I had a black screen, the only way out was to shut down the app, and then try to replay... only to encounter an ad before I could play, and ending up with the same “black screen - shut down - reopen - have to watch an ad” scenario. It wasn’t worth it I shut down the ap, deleted it, and wrote this review.
