  • Really enjoyable game May 7, 2021

    By SodiumPapyrus
Downloaded this app figuring it would just be sometime I download for a day and delete the day after because I got bored with it. But to my surprise this was a really fun, challenging, engaging, and overall enjoyable game. The physics are a little weird sometimes and some of it you’ve got to be a little lucky with timing. But most levels are really interesting puzzles that I enjoyed figuring out and because they allow you to get hints by watching an ad I never got annoyed because I couldn’t get past a level. In total this was a great app and although I finished all the levels in five days or so it was an enjoyable five days and maybe in the future when I’ve forgotten how to do the levels I’ll come back and play again!!

I've played the first 50 levels of this game at the time of my review, and I have to say, it's interesting. But unfortunately, the appeal stops there. While the game has an integrated crafting system of sorts, it rarely exploits it, instead requiring you to simply add one or two parts to a previously-made machine. The levels can be very short, only really serving the purpose of showing you some cool tech that you can't actually make yourself. While the crafting system is cool, and the main limitation is the game's resources, the crafting can (and will) act up. You'll find it frustratingly difficult to turn a block 90 degrees for a simple task, only to drop it and have it flip back over to the wrong side. It would not be very difficult for the developers to make this into a great sandbox game, but I doubt we'll ever see it. Save your money, and go find two other mediocre puzzle game for the price of this one.

As a physics based engine, most of the objects react well with each other, but they don't react well to touch. I'd frequently drag a block only to see it lag behind the path of my finger - almost an entire half second behind! Please work on better interaction. I was disappointed in the levels. Several of the levels just had to be guessed at until you figured out the "trick." There should always be a way to solve a puzzle without guesswork, either with a better clue upfront, or more obvious interaction, or better level design. The flow of the levels needs tweaking. I expected the higher numbered levels to be more difficult than the lower levels, but this was not always the case. I'd love to have more opportunity to build your own machine. Too often they were pre built contraptions that I then just had to manipulate. Let me participate in the building! Or at least the power routing.... For some of the blocks, the only time I was able to experiment with them was in the "sandbox" at the end of the credits. (Also, is there not a faster way to get to this from the menu once I've discovered it? Walking across the forever-long field to get to the storage shed is a pain. Otherwise, some great stuff is happening here. Great concepts. Nice visual design. Fun mix of gravity/interaction physics with construction/power physics.
  • Adorable Character And Really Fun Game. Feb 6, 2015

I am really enjoying this super cute game so far. I found the graphics, artwork and sound effects to just be wonderful. I also really like how there are no hints for the puzzles and you just have to use brain power and deductive reasoning to figure them out. One feature request that I would like to make to the developer is, can you please add a level editor to the game? I think it would just be so much fun if users had a way to construct their own puzzles using the tools of the game and hopefully share their creations with other users. I believe a physics game like this is just begging for the option of a fully functioning level editor. I hope that you will please consider and think over my feature request please, thank you. I think if you are looking for a super cute puzzle/platform/physics game, then you just cannot go wrong with choosing Odd Bot Out in my opinion. Many thanks to the developer for this awesome game and all of the time and hard work that you no doubt put into constructing and refining it. Thanks again and God bless. iPad Air 2/ iOS 8.1.1

AlReady done the game. Really great. HOpe that has the feature to build the game by players. A friendly remind you guys to play the game a little bit more,I can tell you that the blocks can be separate if they are locked. Don't yell at the game cuz you are not play much or just shows us your iq is low. I hope this can add more. I am not saying it is a difficult game but indeed, it is a real game that is really relaxing. I don like a stupid game that is super hard and that annoys people, that is not a game. Game is something that suppose to make fun, right. This is what you need. Do not believe the one who think the game is too easy, cuz he did not finish the game yet.

lI got this app months ago. I don't play every day now (I did at first). But I still really love it. Like the reviewers before said, the physics are amazing, and each time I play again, I'm challenged and rewarded. It's just so well done! Kudos to the developer. Very smart guy with a great sense of creating brain challenging puzzles in this unique virtual environment. I'd like to see more where this came from, I would pay again! 5 thumbs up. This app is innovative and unique. I think it could lead to some really great evolutions.
  • Really fun. I can’t solve level 40 May 24, 2021

    By oceanchor
This game is really cute and the levels aren’t very challenging. A few levels require good timing or prior knowledge, so I struggled a bit to solve them. I can’t figure Level 40 out. There’s a large platform high up, and you have to get onto it. On the ground there is a box with a button on top, and it can connect to a rocket-thingy that can fly. You have to plug in the box and rocket and press the button down for the rocket to work. I don’t know how to carry the robot up onto the higher ground. (For example, I tried to carry the robot up with the rocket. There wasn’t anything to press the button with.)

This physics puzzler imbues it minimalist characters with charming and beautiful animations and combines that with some enjoyable and sometimes quite challenging puzzles to great effect. At times, the physics can be a bit finicky, but I have found that in these cases there is always an approach that makes things easy and repeatable. While many of the puzzles can be solved quickly, there are 100 of them to enjoy and some of them are much more complex. This is a simply wonderful diversion!

I loved this game it’s very calming, but also frustrating at time. I beat the game after 8-11 of playing it, I tried my hardest but once I got to the end it was cool and everything but then it’s just stuff you can mess around with. I expected a more wholesome ending or maybe a more colorful and exciting ending. After all the hard work it was worth it, the game was fun. The ending however wasn’t as exciting you just walk out to the exit and the game just goes back to all the levels, there is no free-play option or no cutscenes like the start of the game it just ends.

This is one of the few mobile games that I’ve been able to thoroughly enjoy. The graphics and sound design are simplistic and cute, the physics work quite well, and the puzzles are a nice level of challenging and satisfying to complete. If there was one thing I would change, there would be a sandbox mode. I can’t see many flaws - apart from the level difficulty curve being a bit odd, this game is fantastic overall.

  • Odd is a keeper Feb 11, 2015

    By Syberiyxx
This is probably one of the most enjoyable iOS games I've played. The physics are simple and fun and the character is memorable and likable. I enjoy the main character, Odd. This is easily worth its price. And it's good enough that I very much want a sequel to this game. There are drawbacks though. The difficulty is imbalanced level to level, the mechanics can sometimes be a little wonky, and the story leaves me wanting. Regardless, it's worth anyone's investment. I hope we see more Odd from Martin Magni.
  • Outstanding game + idea Feb 8, 2015

    By Drmalouf
This is probably one of the best puzzle games I have played in a long time! The characters are cute and charming, and there is no stress on the puzzles. This game had me thinking in ways I wasn't before. It is a simple get from point A to point B kind of game but solving a puzzle along the way. I do however have a few ideas for the game, and hope you take them into consideration. 1. A sandbox mode where maybe you can build creations or your own levels and share and download other peoples creations/levels. 2. More levels! This is a wonderful game and I wish to see more. 3. Maybe a robot customization feature where you can change the color of your Odd Bot and maybe even give him a funny hat. Thank you again for such a wonderful game!
  • Too Cute !!! Feb 7, 2015

I rarely give reviews (except to gain coins or something silly) in fact I have NOT been asked at all to give a review. Doing it cuz I truly LOVE this game!! I love it cuz no time limit, no scoring, great tools for getting Bot out of each level. I got stuck on level 17, but finally got it and cruising thru the rest. The only suggestion I make is to have a setting menu to cut the sound or music. Playing at work requires me to mute my iPhone. Great game. Congrats to developer.
  • Great game Jul 9, 2015

It really is a fun game some levels are extremely short but that's so as not to make it seem impossible to beat like some pay to win games (Candy crush). There's no real point to the game besides figuring out how to reach the exit, no star system so you aren't worried about going back to beat it again it's just a plain Jane fun game. I would like to see at least another 200 levels that would be awesome.

  • Great game with an annoying bug Jul 9, 2021

    By jacoblee00000
After completing a level, you’re taken back to the main screen. The main screen contains all the levels in the game. The next uncompleted level is marked by a pulsating purple circle. Sometimes, I’m unable to tap that purple circle. During that time, I’m also unable to scroll to other levels. The screen is NOT frozen because the purple circle still pulsates. Rather, my touch input is not recognized. This is a very annoying bug. If it is fixed, then I will update my review to five stars!

It's a cute, simple, fun game to pass a few idle minutes here and there. Not difficult, minimally challenging, but I have had fun with it. I want more levels, and I wish they increased in difficulty and length as the game went along. MAJOR ISSUE is that I got all the way to level 99, and at that level it freezes up and the bot won't move. Happens at different points in the level, but always happens. Tried re-installing, but had the same problem. Major disappointment to get that far and not be able to finish.
