If only, it ran on my most recent Android phone. I've had this beautiful app since Blackberry Playbooks were a thing... seriously. It's a gorgeous beat sequencer that is super intuitive and even an excellent tool for children to explore electronic music. Unfortunately, it is out of date and finally stopped working on my newer Android phone as of 2021.

More fully featured than many other generators costigg twice and three times as much. Great approach to having movement being a feature to turn on and off. I love being able to send other nodes flying around and keep generators anchored. The key selector/chord generator is second to only one other app I have. For the price cannot go wrong.

An interesting and beautifully sounding concept. Sadly very poor documentation. It took me a while to find out how to start with an empty scene instead of the preloaded one. No update since 2014 raises the question if this is abandonware (although still payware). I would at least expect system updates and MIDI support (USB and OTG MIDI out) by now.

Been using nodebeat for more than a year and the more I explore its capabilities, the more I'm impressed. It's basic functionality is intuitive, sounds great and enough to own this app. Dig further into it and you may be pleasantly surprised, as I was.

I've used this app for years, it feels like you're creating a living breathing piece of music when you set the generators and nodes to move. This old app is fantastic, surprised it still works on Android 9 at this point.

Lots of options. Easy to use interface. Options to make your own music, record and share OR simply let it play on its own in the background.

I've had this app on my phone for so long. I love this app. I've used it during a band jam and it was pretty awesome mixing technology with some string instruments. this app doesnt really need an update ; old is gold.

As a musician and guy with crippling ADHD, this app really gives me both auditory stim and, when I need to redirect my attention, the interface gives me a space to vacate and get back on track. Love this app.

Very nice however the app often exits when picking from the side panel as my phone is gesture controlled and it mistakes me for wanting to exit the app. Not your fault. I blame my overly eat fingers. Thank you
  • After update no longer works (fixed) Feb 10, 2020

I am revising my review. The issue was addressed in short order by the developer. now the app works as it did before the latest update.

Do not purchase if you’re someone looking for background music whilst you study or read. The app stops working when your phone goes dark and it doesn’t play if not open. Garbage. I’m requesting a refund 5 minutes after buying it.

Learning how everything interacts has been absorbing and creative on our new edu 9.7 version iPad. It reliably freezes and crashes on the 12.9 iPad Pro Both running iOS 11.4.1
  • My Favorite Generative Music App Apr 18, 2017

Been using this for 6+ years and still love it. Especially love using it in Audiobus as an input and also using it as Midi controller for other apps. Also love that it works with both iPhone and iPad. It's simple, yet is capable of making some complex music. Or you can use it as an interactive meditational aid or game. Well worth the cost, bandwidth to download, storage space and processing power.

This game is great and all, but I found a ton of bugs. I’m giving this a 3-star because of all the bugs. Examples of bugs are: Enlarged Generators, No Keyboard at all, and White Screen. I wish these bugs will get fixed.
