So I downloaded this app like a week ago, and I am actually quite enjoying the experience so far. This app helps you memorize and analyze patterns that can be more challenging the more you advance in each sequence. This game can help those who have trouble memorizing and could help those who have dementia and other brain-like disorders. The game keeps track of how your responding and calculates them in categories (such as memory, willpower, flexibility, focus, verbal fluency, etc.). I highly recommend this game to anyone who wants to improve their memory and brain power, seriously a great game for young minds, too great in fact that if children tried it out, they’ll have minds that are equivalent to professors (ages 4+)! 😃

My family carries dimentia. Exercising the brain is key. You can't lose it, but you can delay it. My only issue with the app is that directions can be less than clear in game objectives. Good app otherwise.

Most of the training exercises created for each of the areas of the brain is very good in improving that region. Regular daily training has resulted in noticeable improvement in my deteriorating brain thanks to smart phones and computers doing most of the brain work for me. The reason I have removed a star is because the verbal training tries to improve your vocabulary skills which to my understanding is your current memory, knowledge and understanding of words in the dictionary. Just like any word game, 4 scrambled letters can make up more than one word. However the game requires you to guess the exact word it is thinking. So even though you entered a word that is accepted in the dictionary it is not correct based on the game which then makes this test inaccurate in measuring ones skill and knowledge of vocabulary. This needs to be fixed.

I download Luminosity and deleted it after trying NeuroNation to challenge my memory and train my brain. NeuroNation is much more engaging. There are more daily exercises available in the free version. NeuroNation allows you the opportunity to increase difficulty when you surpass the average achievement for your age. If you elect to increase difficulty, they check with you after the next session to be sure you are happy with the decision and allow you to step back. It's a really great app!

  • Underrated Brain Training App! Mar 15, 2018

This app is seriously awesome! I worked as a cognitive Training coach, and I currently subscribe to all of the major brain training programs. (Lumosity, Elevate, Peak, Memorado, Brain HQ, etc) As far as difficulty goes, NeuroNation is by far the most difficult of all the brain training programs. Bu that’s what makes it so great! The games are challenging. I can really see a lot of growth in my cognition. Paying for the program is a small investment, but it’s completely worthwhile. Everyone should be using NeuroNation.

Buttons became extremely small. I can't push correct answer anymore as they are small and next to each other so it takes time to accurately push respective button and in most cases I push another button or time is running out when I am trying to accurately touch correct answer. I made a few screenshots to show how small the buttons are but can't attach them here. I'll try to send them to developers by email. The app has been great for years up until one of the updates that made buttons small.

I enjoyed this app for about a month after I first signed up, then got a bit bored with it. A year later, without any head’s up from the developers, an $84 charge appeared in my credit card bill. They will not offer me a refund, but are happy to discontinue my service and give me a “voucher” for a friend. I think this is really dishonest; they would be happy to continue taking my money for years and hoping I wouldn’t notice on my cc statement. A reputable company that had a good product would offer a full refund to dissatisfied customers. Maybe this is the way of the world these days, but it truly turns me off to such enterprises. I had much better experience with LUMINOSITY and found them much more upstanding.

Following a head injury this helps me to build up my attention span. I have used brain training apps before but this is my favorite because it's interesting and not too difficult. Highly recommend!

Playing around for 10 minutes, I noticed my brain is remarkably horrible. Seems like it's going to help me be better at remembering stuff so five stars.

All the buttons in the games to small to use them. First thing you have to do is to solve the task, next job is find out the smallest button with the correct answer. And the second step is much more difficult than the first one!!!!!!! Fix it it please. Make the most big buttons as it only cloud be!!!! On the first versions of the app the buttons were with normal size!!!! And kill you UI/UX designer!!!

Some of the tutorials are not clear. Sometime with moving objects it’s hard to hit the correct one and have it register on the phone. It marks it as wrong, when you are clearly picking the correct one. The math ones seem confusing. All in all I enjoy it, I just hope it is helping my brain.

Excellent graphics. It makes use of a variety of approaches at the same time to guide the learning. Sometimes the instructions only become clear while playing the game. One fellow reviewer has suggested more "visual how-to" instructions, I'll second that. Regarding the math puzzles, I keep struggling with whether to use "the order of operations" or not.

I'd probably give it 5 stars, except there's no settings to change the contrast of the visuals, or more importantly, the SIZE of the text and symbols (especially in the math exercise, where + looks like ÷) you read or use to complete the exercises. I don't have any vision problems, and I'm in my 20s, but the text is so tiny I have to basically smash the screen to my face. Which is odd, because there's plenty of room on the screen to be able to increase the text size! Fix this and I'd give 5 star
