App doesn't scan
May 24, 2017 I put the patch on my skin. And set the app to scan. However there is a bug or glitch that does not allow the patch to be captured, detected, and scanned. It just shows a white heart on the screen and grey outline. App doesn't scan.more -
Aug 5, 2019 The sticker didn't come off the backing properly & resulted in me carefully smoothing it out and spending a half hour to get it proper on my arm. Then the app wouldn't recognize the sticker at all. Decided to read the reviews, and I feel as though L'Oreal just collected a bunch of data and now we've given them permissions to our devices. What a crock of garbage.more -
Childish and inaccurate
Sep 29, 2018 I received a free UV patch with an order so I downloaded the app to use on a recent beach trip. I am an adult woman and first noticed that the app is very childish. The “superheroes” are all kids and there are no adult options. Beyond that, I don’t believe the data it was giving. On one screen the app said the UV index was low, but if I switched to a second screen it said it was high. On one scan it told me I was behaving “badly,” yet 10 minutes later it said I was going a great job, but I changed nothing. Waste of time.more -
Jul 30, 2019 It just doesn't work. After it successfully collected some personal data it just refuses to work saying "UV database not available". Useless. Also, you have to give it access to your location data or it won't even start. -
App didn’t work
Aug 13, 2020 After I put on the patch and tried to scan, the app had a glitch and just kicked out. Never could log back in. It was such a huge development for the company to have the app didn’t work. What a waste.

Jul 27, 2019 I have been trying to use this app for hours and have had no luck. It keeps telling me that the UV database is currently unavailable and to try again in 5 minutes. I have had no luck, and will give up soon. Very disappointing!
What’s Groovy
App may be great but wasn't able to test it as the patch didn't stick and withered away at the first shower!

What’s Subpar
I got it to work, but I can just set my alarm to remind me every 2 hours to reapply sunscreen. literally that's all this app is doing. It's a fancy interactive alarm that makes you purchase the heart stickers, "scan" the sticker, and answer a question if you've applied sunscreen or not. it doesn't tell me any actual information. The posted weather forecast including UV levels are information obtained from the Weather Network, which it says right on the app.
