Feb 27, 2021 Best App. I have been using various apps seperately for making pdf, editing pdf, creating excel sheet, making a document. But this app is an all in one pack, with a bunch of extra cool features. All the features are free to use. Using experience is very nice. Microsoft remains it's dignity through the android office app.more -
Feb 26, 2021 every time i try to open the app it closes automatically. it happens all the time, ive uninstalled and re-installed the app countless times. ive signed out and then back into it with my school login and it still has issues opening up for me to work in. super frustrating to keep encoutering this problem on a regular basis. on the rare occasion that the app actually works, it works great. just wish i could use it all the time.more -
Not for me
Feb 23, 2020 I like the idea of a all in one productivity app, however this just doesn’t work for me for a couple of reasons. Number one is the horrible built in Lens scanner. I had Lens before and quickly moved away from it once I discovered Evernote’s Scannable. I scan a lot of documents for work and work a lot with PDF’s so having a well performing scanner is essential for me and Lens simply doesn’t work well enough. I had hoped it had been upgraded for this app and would perform better but it’s the same as the stand alone version. The other PDF related problem is the lack of ability to mark up a PDF. Yes you can sign a document but I often need to add text, boxes or arrows to a PDF and those functions are not available here. The other major downfall is the lack of iPad support. I work a lot on my iPad and need the tools I use to be available there as well. I could see this maybe becoming a great all in one tool in the future with some tweaks but for now I’ll stick with Evernote, Scannable, Docs and Pages.more -
Feb 23, 2021 The app is very good and easy to operate. It has in-built features of most MS Office softwares. I would be grateful if the custom animation feature of Powerpoint can be controlled in a better way i.e. by enabling timers or setting the animations occuring one after the another automatically as done in PC versions and atleast also a feature of adding a simple single line border in the MS Word docs. Overall, a very well balanced all-in-one app for performing various tasks.more -
Almost there. No multiple instance mode yet.
Feb 18, 2021 I love using office apps on my ipad. I think they are well designed. And i love using office on my phone once it incorporated the other apps (word, excel, ppt). So naturally I was really excited when the ipad version of office was updated to include the actual apps. But there is one major flaw. It doesn’t support multiple instances yet. You cannot (at the moment) open office more than once. You can do side by side with a different app, but you cannot but office side by side with office. So if you want to use only office, you cannot look at a word document and an excel file. You can’t have 2 word documents side by side. You will need to use something else to accomplish this. Thankfully, the individual office apps (word, excel, ppt) don’t have this problem. I can open as many word apps as my ipad can handle. So I will keep using those for now, and I am sure a future update will incorporate this functionality into office.more

Useful (when it works), but slow and very limited
Jun 14, 2020 I don’t know if this app by itself is better than having the three separate Office apps installed, but it takes up considerably less space. I use this almost exclusively for Excel documents, and this app is an adequate editor for very simple things like adding new data entries and viewing attachments received via mail or shared via cloud based file services. However, this app is EXTREMELY SLOW to work with and its interface feels claustrophobic and fiddly on an iPhone 8 screen. Maybe it’s better on an iPad Pro, with the larger display and more powerful CPU to run it? I don’t even try to do anything so complicated as enter formulas or format cells when I’m using this app… like I said, the UI is not great. A word of warning: if you rely on Dropbox to store Office documents that you frequently work with and update via this app, you will tear your hair out in frustration at the way Office turns into a complete basket case trying to deal with Dropbox storage. I don’t know whose fault that is, Microsoft or Dropbox, but it’s infuriating and will happen to you even when doing the simplest things to documents retrieved from Dropbox folders. It gets even worse if you’re using a VPN… be ready for lost work and mondo pain. At least everything works even slower over VPN connections, so you have that to look forward to.more -
Why isn’t this universal at start?
May 9, 2020 I’ve had an iPad since day 1, gen 1. I have waited ever since for Microsoft and Apple to meld their strengths and have a good workflow for office on IOS and cloud files. After reading about this app’s release I was hopeful this was the one that would become the solution. And then after downloading realized...it’s prioritized for phones and does the lame compatibility version for iPad. I don’t work in the tech industry, but would bet money that an analysis would show people using office on mobile devices are largely on tablets and less on phones. Are that many people really making presentations and excel files on phone screens? This needed to be a universal app or prioritized for iPads first and then have a phone version. Feels like a no brainer and failure for now for me. Hoping iPad prioritization comes soon.more -
Feb 23, 2021 The app becomes stuck in loading screen constantly. Some files refused to load, even though they opened previously without issue. The loading time seems to have no relation to the size or content of the file. Saving files also has similar issues.more -
New Office app confusing in opened / created Word files
Nov 20, 2020 Since the installation of the new Office app, if I go to OneDrive on an iOS device and open a Word file or create a Word file, what interface shows up in the opened or created file isn’t Word app or a Word interface. Instead this “Office” app opens. It’s very confusing. The Office app interface is very basic, and even the font graphics are simplistic. Since I have discovered this quirk with the “Office” app, and since going to support didn’t give me an easy way to address the issue, I cannot rate this new Office app very high, only one star low. If I open just the Word app, it seems to work just fine. So today, to try and avoid the Office app doing this, since I already have Word, Excel, and PowerPoint apps installed and working well on iOS devices, I removed the Office app and dropped my rating to one star.more -
Call it “Office Lens Plus”?
Feb 20, 2020 The Office app for iOS as of February 2020 seems to be lacking a lot of the power promised in the various videos from Microsoft floating around. It looks like this app was rushed out before it was finished. One video shows the ability to create a PowerPoint from an outline, but try finding the “Create Outline” button in this version. Office Lens already has some great capabilities - such as scanning a whiteboard or making a PDF - and this app does those too. And while it will get those images or scans over into a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint document, that’s hardly bringing them all into one place in any easy way. I hope Microsoft will continue to develop this into what they’ve promised. But at this point, there’s not enough in the app, and what is there isn’t quite integrated yet.more

Feb 23, 2021 This is very nice app, but it has many issues. (1) All files (PDF, Word, Excel, PPT...) open very slow. (2) The PDF file of external storage (Memory card) is not shared without being saved in the internal storage (Phone Memory). (3) Added step (Save, Discard & Cancel) is worthless. Please improve all.more -
Useful on iPhone, annoying in iPad
Oct 17, 2020 So, I love O365 and I use it for work nearly every day. While I’m a fan of the office app on my phone and find it easy to find things I’m looking for (or have opened recently), i can’t help but feel rather annoyed at the “mobile version” of the app on the iPad. I find myself daily checking the App Store for updates and looking for an update for iPad. If this app had a meaningful iPad user interface (that is, using the ENTIRE SCREEN), then this app would get 5 stars for me. Let’s get that iPad update!more -
Feb 21, 2021 Wow cool app! I always use this This app is 100 times better than others I am using a PC with android emulator in it so i can run this Only 1 problem, When i change resolution, it will show "office isn't responding" But that dosent make me to erase a star. This is the best app i am using in my lifetime though model is android 7.1.2 and model as huawei nova 7imore -
Feb 23, 2021 Microsoft office is one of the best office I have tried. The 360 provided features works like a charm and always gives the desktop office experience. It's not lite, but anyone who wants perfection in their office documents should go for this without hesitation. Good work Microsoft.more

Feb 23, 2021 Most useful app forever. Very very useful. I don't have words to say still I can say that ' THANK YOU!'. BUT THERE IS NO ONLINE PICTURE OPTION AND 3D MODELS OPTION. IF I TAKE SCREENSHITS FROM GOOGLE AND PASTE IT IN THE PRESENTATION IT CAUSES STORAGE PROBLEM. PLEASE ADD IT.more -
Not bad but needs better signature integration with outlook
Feb 11, 2021 I’m still not sure about the benefits of this app. I understand that Microsoft is trying to integrate the separate office applications in one app. Unfortunately this didn’t address my issue. I needed a way to allow users to sign pdf or other documents from within Outlook. This doesn’t do that. If you open an attachment in outlook, you have to save to your OneDrive first then open the app again from within OneDrive. Still a bit cumbersome. Unfortunately we are not allowed to use other third party add-in’s for signing pdf documents. Have to stick to the office only universe.more -
Feb 27, 2021 My project, activity done by this application but l gave only 4 stars because it takes lot of time to open any file, but this is a excellent app. -
Feb 22, 2021 Good but lacks basic features that the desktop version has. In the latest update you still cannot "Sort" columns in a table in Word.

Feb 20, 2021 would be at least 4 stars, but every time I have to open the toolbar (hundreds of times an edit) my soul dies a little. please fire whoever thought users don't need control over their interface and then fix it. And why do we need to go thru multiple menus to open word/excel/etc? MS has been making interfaces for decades, there is no excuse for this slopmore -
limited benefits...
Jan 21, 2021 While this takes up less memory on my device, it doesn’t feel like it makes things easier or faster when using Office. If I have individual apps on my home screen, I can start the needed workflow faster than opening Office then looking for Word or Excel. Also a true iPad version is needed for me to get meaningful work done. I can zoom in on my iPad, but lots of screen space is wasted, and again, there is no advantage than using the individual iPad versions of MS Office.more

Was good, but an update made it worse.
Apr 28, 2020 There's a microphone icon when viewing a document in Mobile view that won't go away. It's so annoying. That and when coming back to a document, I no longer have the option to go where I left off. When working with smaller documents, it's not a problem. But when I have a 456 page document that I'm working on and I go back to the middle to edit and exit, I have to find my way back when before there used to be a little previous badge I could click on. Ease revert and give option to hide the microphone icon.more

Microsoft Office 365 Word
Oct 7, 2020 This started out as a great tool, but lately has been a huge headache due to the fact that after a short period of time typing there are constant delays in words appearing and punctuations, spaces and words are being added randomly. Nothing has helped to correct the issue. We have tried deleting and reuploading it and that hasn’t helped, we checked our internet and that isn’t the issue, we have even tried other devices with the same thing and it happens there too. It’s very frustrating especially when it is the main tool for my schoolwork.more
What’s Groovy
I’m tired of many years of limited features of Google Apps, lack of security, and the world’s largest add revenue company snooping in my personal inbox and invading my privacy and selling it to third parties. With many of today’s employers going “all in” with Office 365 & Teams, I’ve decided to go “all in” with Office and Outlook for my personal apps, email and data. With each website account I change from Gmail to Outlook, I’m once again taking back my privacy and personal freedom. I invite you to do the same. After 30 years of experience working in technology, Microsoft puts security and privacy first, while Google puts ad revenue ahead of your privacy and security. More companies trust Microsoft with their corporate active directory security than any other provider, which is the most important security service.

What’s Subpar
Generally a decent app but not up to microsoft usual standards. Cut and paste in this app is shocking and I often have to restart the app for it to allow me to paste in (pretty fundamental). Another annoying bug is when returning to a recent document a dialogue appears saying go to last location... if you dont click it and scroll on, it is then permanently on screen until app restart.
