  • Good game and some advice Aug 27, 2020

First of all, it is a really nice game, thank you! Here are my advices Right now after lv4 all the leveling stoped, but i would definitely enjoy some more character building. So why not reward some additional improvement after we achieved certain criteria, e.g. after finishing normal stage, upgrade the intrinsic perk (e.g. Mischief perk: stealth attack has +2 dmg and apply poison(1); Muldorf perk: skeletons attacks do 2 then 3 dmg in rotation, etc) Moreover, the ability to merge inventories, e.g. when you have 2 copies of a weapon, each having 1 durability left, then the 2 icons can be drag ontop of each other and merge into 1. Any extra durability will be lost. This will be a extremely fun feature for minions too, e.g. 2 skeletons can be merged to make a new one with +1 attack and +3 max hp (this can stack up to 5 dmg and 15 hp, further merges will heal the skeleton by 5 hp) Furthermore i would like to suggest for a momentary system that converts unused gems into a currency that can be taken outside dungeons at the end of games. Which can be used to purchase upgrades for intrinsic decks, new cards, skins and new characters (if any in the future).

Normally, I don't play card games. I'm all about visualizing the character with their new armor and weapons. This, however, is an exception. It's actually really fun! The artwork looks pretty heavily influenced by Adventure Time, which is awesome.

Preserves the stuff that made Slay the Spire great, and I’d say even improves on it. These deck-builders have a way of becoming stale when you realize the optimum “slim” deck, and try to get rid of as many cards as you can. This results in players ignoring the vast majority of the game cards (even the original Meteorfall had this problem). Here, you want to acquire as many cards as you can, and you’ll end up with some wild synergies that really add to the fun. The other fun layer is knowing what you’re up against in each dungeon...this lets you plan the overall room, instead of just battle by battle. Throw in the fun, animated cards and superb voice work and this is pretty much a perfect mobile game.

Excellent. Slay the spire meets tinder? There is great deck building, tradeoff on the phone is less choices and higher randomness. I think health is more important than usual to buffer against random enemy attacks you can't predict or prevent

I’m a lifelong gamer spanning across many genres and platforms. For me—everything about this game is 10/10. Effortless jump-in jump-out which is critical for mobile, spunky stylized art, combat is balanced to perfection and when playing on standard you have to think critically about each next step, music is phenomenal. I downloaded this a few days ago after binging Meteorfall: Journey and I’ve been hooked since my first run. If you like rogue likes, dungeon crawlers, and deck builders it’d be criminal to pass this up. Well worth the price at zero IAP and endless replay value.

  • Well put together Sep 18, 2020

    By Ellzorz
The game has beautiful art/animations, it’s super smooth and just feels like a really well put together game. In all honesty though, I just don’t find it very fun for some reason. I got super in to STS, pirate outlaws, darkest dungeon, etc. but just cannot get into this one no matter how hard I try. It feels like a chore to play. Each run doesn’t feel much different from the last and I have no desire to continue trying. I’m giving it 4 stars because I want to support and encourage well made paid games with no pay to win IAPs, but like I said, I just don’t find it very enjoyable to play.

Graphics remind a lot of adventure time. Finished this game with two different character and I can say it is enjoyable, but not really as deep as slay the sprite.

Game is fun, but challenging. Once you unlock all.the characters the in game currency is useless. Hoping for an update with more characters or a meteorfall journeying soon

I want to give this game five stars because it is charming and very well made the art is beautiful, the concept is simple but effective however... Their definitely feels like there is balancing issues I can't quite put my finger on it but after well over 20 run throughs of the game various characters and strategies something still feels off. Some enemies are just grossly skewed in their power level no matter what level you are or the general enemies are this is especially true with bosses.

Fun little game. Magic is way overpowered. Could beat the Lich without taking damage.

Fun, but for a game that recommends keeping your deck small and using cards that synergize, maybe don't force me to take a card on level up. Love being forced to choose between two different types of hot trash to clog up my deck.

  • Not as fun as the first one Aug 29, 2020

Decent game but feels like a bit of a chore to play vs. the original. Just played for a few hours, but by that time the original had me hooked- still trying to ploughing through this one. Feels less balanced and more difficult and just not as fun. I do have hope though as the devs are really good with improvements over time. Will keep playing and see what happens.

Almost completely random. Entire runs go by without making any interesting decisions. Often, one bad shuffle and you get one-shot, ending the run without having done anything wrong. The buff icons cover the stamina number, and you usually can't check your current HP or decklist while making event decisions, so any potential player agency is frustratingly lost. Still kinda fun as a mindless Slay the Spire inspired game but without any depth.

It's well produced for people new to the genre, but the depth of strategy is fairly shallow. I'm a super nerd that needs variety on more levels than one. Each choice seems too linear for my tastes and offers limited options especially if it is a bad run. Maybe TavernRumble ruined my expectations for future Roguelite RNG card deckbuilding games, but I need more sustenance.
