It's a very basic game that's designed to get as much of your money as it can. There's a lot of stuff that cannot be earned in game, the only way to get it is to buy it. It's really only got 3 game modes, same few maps over and over. Tournaments are the same 5v5 mode with the same few maps every time. And it's glitchy, very very glitchy. It's fun at first, yes. But it quickly becomes repetitive and boring. Some new game modes would make it better, but I don't see that happening.

The kill time for everyone is too easy. I have only lost 1 match in my life because of how much dmg output I have. The maps are too small as well. It's also really hard to get the little cars things to upgrade everything. I like the game but it needs at least a few changes in these areas to make it a 5 star. Please change these to make the game better.

Getting too greedy.
The pay to play prices have always been ridiculous. But if I were too cheap I guess everyone would be maxed. I can’t imagine some must spend thousands to max out. I’ve been playing since December. But occasionally I will buy a weapon for under $10. Particularly to complete a challenge and get, typically 300 a-coins. The last challenge I paid my $8.99 for the Disc Launcher 16 and was unable to complete the challenge due to the only way to get 5 blueprints was to pay for a $15 upgrade package. All previous challenges I have never encountered that. They also changed their “premium” packages for a-coins. They kept the price the same but reduced the number of a-coins for the price and claim half of what you get is a bonus ie 14k coins was $100 but now it’s 8k+5.5k bonus. The 3-8 pop-ups everytime you open the app are worth being able to play for free. I played for free for months before I caved on a $3.99 weapon. And I did very well for spending nothing. I finally decided I’d had enough fun to justify spending a couple bucks on a weapon occasionally. I still do very well against all but maxed out players and occasionally I give one a run for their money. My biggest frustration is quite often someone with a decent mortar set up will shell you the whole game but never show on your radar so you never get a chance to fire back or even know where it’s coming from.

Pay to win
I’ve been playing Mech Arena since October of 2021. I’ve played it for so long cause… when it’s balanced and it works properly… it’s a really fun game to play. Problem is the first 1-2 matches you play any given day are against other players of your level. After that, you are constantly pitted against other mechs that are practically maxed out (The higher tier mechs are around $75 USD and the weapons they are using are around $45 USD. Afterwards, they spend WAY more than that maxing them out). You can unload your entire magazine on these mechs and only take away 10-20% of their health (if they spit on you, you’re dead). Plarium does this intentionally so you’ll get mad enough and buy the mech upgrades so you can compete against the people who already did buy the upgrades. Also, the bugs in this game are enough to drive you nuts. I have fallen through the floor, shot lower star mechs and they took zero damage, constantly run into invisible walls, and randomly the controls become unresponsive for a few seconds (but you can still fire or use your special move). The best one is where you target someone (using the javelin rack for example) and as soon as you tap fire, it targets a different mech you’re not even looking at. Lastly, I have gigabit internet and the lag can get REALLY bad. You’ll watch mechs start floating through the air or teleporting around. Plarium needs to fix their game and massively cut back on the pay to win mechanics.

All of the reasons why any game is a bad game are here. Bad controls, overpowered enemies. How am I supposed to gain experience or level up if I keep getting put in matches with higher level opponents and opponents that have access to a much better arsenal of weaponry - explosives and lasers when my team didn't get that. I want to like the game but I can't.

Good game, Uneven Ads
Let me start off by saying I understand you need ads to employ your game developers, I completely get that. But let me make some recommendations that I think could be effective and not turn as many people away. If you study games that I think we could agree are successful, fortnite, Minecraft. The in-game purchases made are all cosmetics, however I do not suggest this. Honestly judging from how many ads there are now I’d say money needs to come in. What I suggest, is more realistic purchases. I get an add for $70 for literally one legendary gun, I gotta say, if you sold even one of those you are lucky. That is insanely overpriced, gas is $6 and you want $70 for a gun? That’s honestly offensive. I feel like that came off mean and I’m not trying to be, but cmon. The battle pass was great, I bought it. Worth the money. Then I get to guardian and I got spend more money to get him? As the final skin in the battle pass and Mech you have to spend real money on is absolutely ridiculous. Because of these reasons you will never get another purchase until some sense is made of this. I recommend lowering the prices for literally everything but the battle pass. And in return you will make more money than before. It seems like a risk, but study Minecraft, fortnite, call of duty. You have the player base to do this too.

It's a fun game, great to play, but some of the events are bad let downs. You can complete everything to get a new mech or something cool but yet the last thing to do is with something you need way down the line of leveling up. The game also blows up in store related items or deals after logging in the game or getting out of a match. Constant x x x x x x x x x x!

Decent Mechanics, But Currently Unfair for F2P
A week ago I joined this game, and decided to purchase the rare Guardian mech when it was offered to me on a discounted price. Since then I played this game three times or more everyday until I am out of the required energy for matches. With that mech I am so OP I end up MVP in almost every match, regardless of the type of game. It’s not that it’s no longer a challenge for me, but feels unfair that I am so much more powerful than F2P players who also started playing a week ago, and I hadn’t noticed an option to put myself in matches that mostly have the same tier of mechs. For all of that I uninstalled the app until there are updates that makes it where F2P has more options than paid players as I was. EDIT: Also noticed other reviews about this issue, and one of the developer’s responses was only to disregard it with a reply, “Have tons of fun!” That doesn’t leave me with a good impression that they have interest in making it fair for F2P players.

Rigged pay to win and glitchy
So much unfixxed stuff. Broken bots that constantly get in the way. Falling through the map glitch. But plenty of time to add toys for super paying players while rigging matches in their favor. They have an automated reply saying "paying gives a temporary advantage, but much more depends on skill". Blatant lie. The less you spend, the more pay to win matches get. Pocket change and f2p are cannon fodder for whales. If this weren’t the case, you can get points in events just for spending money. And don’t give me the “we believe pay to win is bad for a game”. THEN STOP MAKING THE GAME PAY TO WIN! Your “events” that players can earn resources in CAN STRAIGHT UP BE WON BY SPENDING MONEY! Some events you can’t even complete without spending. THAT IS PAY TO WIN “But we believe our favorable review score means we’re still going in the right direction.” FIRST OF ALL, HALF OF PEOPLE WHO PLAYED A MONTH AGO HAVE QUIT! SECONDLY, EVERYONE KNOWS YOU DELETE REVIEWS! And don’t tell me you don’t, but the store can if we violate the rules. I know that’s a lie. Plenty of people have left reviews that obey all the rules and still found it deleted. Do you just think we’re not paying attention? You only want to use the favorable review score as an excuse to ignore your players, and you think you can always rope in new players as long as you have that favorable score WITHOUT CONSIDERING THAT IGNORING YOUR PLAYERS IS WHAT GETS YOU AN UNFAVORABLE SCORE!

It was a fun game until recently. The player matching system is horrible, pitting players with high end weapons against players who don't even have access to those weapons or equivalent to even make a fun fight out of it. The constant advertising pop-ups have become more than annoying. Plarium, if you mean it when you say you take player feedback seriously or that you're trying to better the matching system to appeal to all players you better start showing it. You're losing players and buyers!
