update to my review and important note to developers: During matches I have found that using the “wide target assist” it gives you the impression that the “target lock” button will allow you to lock onto another target but it does not. It just locks and unlocks. When targets are clustered together it would be helpful to be able to select a target and stay locked onto it. Sometimes my weapons end up aimed at a further bot and my weapons do not switch to the closer target. So while I am firing my weapons at a further bot that is behind an obstacle, a closer bot is firing on me. original review: I have tried all other mech games and this one, like Mech Battle, is a kiddie version of War Robots (I do rate Mech Arena higher than Mech Battle). The controls are ok, the graphics are good, and the thing I like most is the artistic design. The major problem I have is that the progression to unlock new bots and weapons is completely linear. Multiple bots and weapons are not available at the same time - you have to play to unlock a bot, then play more to unlock a weapon, then play more to unlock another bot, and so on and so on. As far as trying to fill up your hanger you are not allowed to buy more than one of the same bot, you always have to buy a different bot. There is nothing about this game that really separates it from all the other mech games. This game is relatively new and it does have some potential.

  • Already addicted to it! Sep 7, 2020

I have been playing WR for several years now and I decided to look on the AppStore for some other robot multiplayer games. I found this one and after a few rounds I was instantly hooked. There is no lag what so ever, maps look amazing, and not completely pay to win. I love the way the robots look as well as the maps. I have some suggestions to make the game even better than it already is. First- don’t make the game extremely pay to win. Second- keep the max level on all the robots/weapons 8 (if you add more levels it could make the game very unbalanced). Third- more robots? I love using healers in any game however there is only one in this game. Keep up the good work and thanks for such an amazing game!!!!!

  • Decent game but severely flawed Sep 8, 2020

    By Flyboy1122467
I’ve played just about every Mech game that has been made. This game has the potential to be fun but it has two major problems. 1. The pay to win style of play is probably the worst I’ve seen. Right out of the gate you are being flooded with micro transactions. In game currency is very hard to earn and the price of upgrading weapons and mechs is steep. 2. This game has the worst matchmaking system I have ever seen. It starts off in the beginning as a pretty fair fight. Once you much up a couple levels you face people who are 30-40k experience above you and they just one hit you to death and you can’t stop it. So far tournaments seem to be pretty fair so I play those but you need tickets in order to get into the game and the only way to get tickets is sacrificing yourself in the normal fights

  • A Refreshing alternative to Pixonic’s cash grab. Sep 9, 2020

I am a four year War Robots veteran. I finally got tired of Pixonic’s business practices. Mech Arena is a fun, fast paced mech game. It has good graphics, fast frame rate, and is older device friendly. Economy seems fair so far. Investing $ is not required to stay competitive, but the rewards are worth the money you invest. So far, it’s one of those game where you are like “sure, I’ll throw in a few bucks to support the developer”. I have had a lot of fun the past few weeks. It’s definitely worth trying. If you like it, show the developer some love and invest a few bucks. You will get your money’s worth.

  • Need Variety of maps and better targeting system Sep 5, 2020

    By Telendra
The game needs more maps in the tournament, playing the game in game map over and over gets really boring and unenjoyable. Another thing that this game needs is better targeting system, similarly like the game “War Robots” where you can switch between your enemies easily for better targeting performance. Also, this game requires you to target perfectly to actually hit the target, it would be nice have shooting and enemy like “War Robots” has. Other then that, it’s a really decent game. Thank you

  • Improvement Sep 21, 2020

    By Virtualrite
Hello game developers, I’m a game developer too. I think the game need a big improvement on the recycling system. Right now, if player gets bunch of cards, they won’t be able to fully use all of them, because there is not recycling system. I hope there would be some sort of recycling system for the cards. Maybe players can dissembling cards for money. So it would be more efficient. Also, I hope each mechs would be able to upgrade with different skill trees. Like upgrading it with more weapon slots; overall stats; unique abilities...etc

  • Great play, reasonably balanced Sep 19, 2020

By dieing for the daily show fix!
So many things are great about this game. Todd skill can do well, even without paying. The match making could be better as I am often pitted against players with much higher power. 3 big things need improving. 1) controls: sometimes my bot will stop or change directions for no reason. 2) the chat icon needs to be moved. I play on an iPad, and my hand will trigger it all the time, then, when I try to shoot, I make a stupid face, no firing, and I die 3) would like to play with my nimbus.

  • Love it has few issues though Jul 15, 2020

    By Ru5h13
Love this game I have played war robots and this is so much better, it is super simplistic. Butttt.... a few issues. 1. There is not enough robots and weapons. The next is just suggestion but it would be a great addition 1. You should be able to get new weapons from the crates without paying for them.

  • Divisions Aug 12, 2020

So when I was in division 7, everything was good, the moment I turned into division 6, everything went down, literally every match I go into everyone is so powerful except for me! I can barely do any damage and I’m always the first person out, then I can never win anymore matches to get more currency to upgrade my robots, other than that the game, graphics and everything else is great, if only I could get into more fair matches It would actually be fun again.

  • It’s War Robots, but not pay to play. Aug 23, 2020

    By CHERRYtheGATMAN
Would rate it five stars but there’s still a few things missing in my opinion. Either raise the credits you get for each battle won or lower the prices on weapons and upgrades. And please with a, um, cherry, on top, please add a global or friend chats, it would make the game so much more interactive and you can team up with more people a whole lot easier. Can’t wait to see what y’all add to the game, amazing job on making an amazing game!

  • The only annoying thing is the chat feature Aug 5, 2020

    By Hope This is Helpful
Having a blast with the game. It so far the balancing seems pretty good and the controls are smooth. HOWEVER the one issue I constantly have is the palm of my hand triggering the chat feature (especially frustrating when in the middle of a fight) when playing on my phone. It would be nice if we could move it out of the bottom right corner to the top, or turn it off altogether.

  • Money increase Sep 15, 2020

    By Jkesling619
Overall i like the change of scenery compared to other mech war games on mobile. But again, economy to me fees unbalanced with how much upgrades jump in cost. Dont get me wrong, prize boxes with a crap ton of blueprints are nice but the amount of money and premium currency earned could use a bump for non-buffed earnings. Still solid to play, controls are nice, settings for said controls are solid. Runs pretty dang well even on a cell connection.
