  • Great game and room for even more great things Dec 18, 2020

First of all I would like to say I love the concept behind the game. But I think this game could grow into something really special and I really hope the developers end up seeing this because after I downloaded it I had a bunch a friends download it and we all agreed on the same pros and cons. First I’d like to say that the customizable aspect is great but it could use a little work, one of the biggest challenges I face with the game is I may receive a item that looks really good cosmetically but it has a really poor power rating so I have to sacrifice the customization for power and I feel like that is that THING your game has that other don’t which is that customization. Also a color scheme pallet could help with that in a way to make the character a little bit more “yours” meaning you could choosing like a primary, secondary color for each gear item. Also a story mode would improvise this game TREMENDOUSLY, I feel like that competition between the different character profiles like hulk recruits, iron man recruits, spider-man recruits, etc could be a very interesting story honestly. Finally, I love the app and my final suggestion or hope would be some more great hero’s or maybe even villains to be put into the game for us to play with and customize. A customized Thanos would be legendary. Thanks for your time - TheSteeleGaming

This game is great, it has very good controls and utterly balanced. I love the customization options and the graphics are superb. I would love to see more classes added. Maybe a Hawkeye or a symbiot character. Or Xmen, ghost rider and so on. This game has so much potential and I cant wait to see what they do with it

  • Fantastic Game, room for improvement Dec 22, 2020

For a game that has been released just over a week, it is absolutely fantastic. The first days may be a tad slower, but once you reach later tier 1, early tier 2, synergies allow you to customize your champion to fit your play style and build combos. Balance between champions are good, you just need to know how to play them. Game play is simple in concept, but requires more strategy as you play more skilled players. A skilled f2p player can beat a stacked p2w player with better strategy. Room for improvement: Iron man doesn’t deal as big damage as he should compared to other ranged blasters/controllers. Alliance quests or objectives should be added eventually. Basic catalysts need to be more common. My champions r stuck at tier 1. I have 50 tier 2 catalysts but only 8 basic. Also a slight increase in iso-9 rewards from battles would be nice, to reduce grinding time. A couple reviews mentioned hulk being OP, early on he may be, but if you learn to counter him he’s beatable. Being a tank he’s gonna have hit points. Overall, a fantastic game without a strong unbeatable p2w aspect.

  • Honest Opinion about Realm Dec 17, 2020

When I first got the game I thought it was gonna be bad due to marvel contest of champions YouTubers giving there opinion that Realm of champions is gonna be bad. I played the first part of the tutorial and I was like... ooh, it’s this type of game. I don’t really like these types of play styles in games but Realm has a unique play style that is different in a good way. Then I went to the thing where you could play as different champions and I checked all the champions that are playable and that’s when I got worried when I looked into each of them. There is only like 7 champions in the game and I wonder like in MCOC If new champions come each month. Thatd be great. But then I looked at the armor and customization you could put on your character. I thought due to the rating of the armors, this was gonna be a big pay to win game. But then I went into a match and played with people with a similar “rank” as me. So I was relieved that this game isn’t pay to win. But then I realized after you played a match you got rewards including gold, iso, champion chips to upgrade armor pieces, and armor pieces, and you leveled up a rank a bit. Then I noticed that if you want to be the best at this game, your gonna have to grind so much it just isn’t really fun to play after a while. Really fun game, but there is a lot of things that Realm could do better to be an amazing game that’d I play daily. Maybe get a story mode, and not make it so repetitive and boring.

I love the fact that I am a web warrior but I really am hoping and waiting to see more characters come in from the Marvel Universe that I can hopefully use to play against other players rather than only the ones that are available right now and the graphics need a big upgrade because that's one of the main things holding this game back besides the lack of characters and also this game should remain and grow as a free to play game and not a money grabber down in the future.

Trash Arena matches needs a complete overhaul. Your bots are ridiculously bad and almost always ensure we lose. I shouldn't be dying from getting hit like 4 times. Your pay wall is bad too. Technically you don't need to pay but its almost impossible to get a higher battlerating when you continue to lose and you can't progress without winning. I played 10 matches and ended up with a lower battle rating than before. Whats the point of playing if you aren't gaining anything for the time you wasted?

Unfortunately the developers have lost site of what makes a good game. Even though this game is brand new it’s already on a downward spiral. Alliance based games with armor upgrades should really on pay to play. There are way too many alliances that are by request which drastically limits t growth of the players team and account. For a game that is only a couple of weeks old this should not be the main theme of how to grow. Match making system is horrible and doesn’t match you up with like level players so you start to lose way more than win. It’s simple all they have to do is change the armor features to not be so upsetting and low quality that won’t allow players to grow without paying thousands of dollars on units. Kabam please make this game better with more individual content growth without being limited to such nit picky alliance settings. Also maybe you should stop worrying about your wallets first and focus on getting players hooked first. And the play style is very childish so hopefully over time it will get better if the game doesn’t get canceled before then. It’s a shame they are following the same business plan as marvel contest of champions where you pay to progress or else it takes years to grow you account with such a small roster doing it free to play. Upsetting for now and hopefully they will fix it to make it better.

For a launch day game this game is a cash grab on the marvel IP. Load times, low resource rewards, but plenty of banners to buy makes this the step brother to MCOC in the worst possible ways. You aren’t given your total teams power rating, there’s no real substantial data regarding your profile, the gear system lacks, and this is NOTHING what it was billed as. This was advertised as an open world MMORPG, which it is not. It’s a MOBA, and it might as well be Transformers or Star Wars. It seems like Kabam gave up in lieu of producing the Mirrorverse title, took all of the worst parts of MCOC at launch, and decided to call it in. This game is uninspired, with mediocre graphics, and an AI system that is much like MCOC arenas, and top it all off, even the chat is horrible. As well, You can’t go into 3v3 arena battles knowing which characters to take in, cuz there is NO STORY MODE. No way of planning your build, and the appearance system is based on GEAR!? SO NO REAL WAY TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR CHARACTER. Which is the whole point of this game, to give you freedom to be a character version you wanted. This is nothing like the hype it put out or the marketing it did, and it’s a cash grab. I’d dare say anyone loving this title simply loves the fact they get to play as 1 of 7 characters. It’s not worth your time. Come back in 6 months when they’ve ironed out the kinks and added quality of life functionality, or play Genshin. It’s way better IMO.

This game tries to take elements from MCOC and future fight which it does, the problem is those two games are more successful at it. While it does offer more in character customization and unique champion building it falls flat every where else. The controls are clunky and stiff. The initial character options are very bland in comparison to other games of this genre. The gear modification is an idea that could be better executed if the color palette were also customizable. That way your champion looks like a cohesive hero and not a amalgamation of multiple characters. Maybe other players like that look? The initial missions of “protect the flag” are not engaging at all and you’re so removed from the fighters you can’t tell you’ve won without the game telling you so. This is my experience playing on an iPad so I can imagine phone gamers frustration. Starting out having to pay for better characters through real money or units is also a little off putting. Although to be fair it’s easy early in the game to acquire 300 units within the first few days of play. Overall curiosity was the only thing that caused me to download this game and curiosity is the only keeping me around... although maybe not for long.

So it's been 2 months since the game launched globally. So far it's disappointing at best. Gameplay is often sluggish. Heroes aren't evenly balanced. Constant pop up adds to buy gear and no new heroes. They just add a new weapon for an old character then ask for 100 $ to get it. Devs don't give straight answers and come across as secretive an uninterested in criticism. I'd give this a 1* rating but those get purged so the 2* review is only to avoid that from happening.

I enjoy playing and strategizing over the MOBA genre and this game hits all my checks for a good MOBA. The superheroes add so much to the dope factor. I play on a LG K51 which isn't optimized for the high FPS gameplay, so I do experience crashes, but logging back in gets me back to the match within a couple mintues. Thank you Kabam for a great game!

This game is very good and a multi-player 3v3 marvel game is a very good idea and you get to equip gear to change how your character looks and make it stronger. And this is not pay to win. That is one of the most important things. I never spent money on this and I'm doing very good. And it doesn't bombard you with adds whenever you try to go to a match or select something. If I could I would give this 20 stars.

I’ve heard a lot of people on the internet say that this game is a cheap, Marvel-ized MOBA and that they’re all losing interest and stuff like that. And yeah, it’s true that I deleted it shortly after I got it. But the truth is, I just wasn’t made for this game. If you’re into games like Fortnite where you can play online against people all over the world, or just love Marvel, Realm of Champions is worth your time. Let no one tell you otherwise. It’s arenas are well-made, the gameplay itself is a real rush, and don’t even get me started on the story. But I’m just not good under that kind of pressure. Oh well. That said, there are a couple of notes I have. The characters (namely guys like Iron Legionaire and Web Warrior) are not very fast at all. Perhaps if there were less, or even no cooldown in between dashes, or if the general movement speed of the attacker characters was increased, it would help, but for now, the characters look like their trudging through the mud. Also, the Hulk is much too powerful. He’s almost impossible to beat by anyone at all. There has to be some major balancing done. In short, when this game hits its stride, it’s going to be a thing to behold. I really want to see where this will go next.

Good game for killing time and fighting PvP or PvE with others. Currently you can play only as Hulk, Super Solider (Captain America), Web Warrior (Spidey), Sorceress Supreme(Dr. Who), Black Panther, Iron Legionnaire (Iron Man), and Storm. J, Giving it 4 star cause it doesnt seem complete and needs some more champions and game modes to add variety and gaming longevity.

Overall I enjoy the time spent playing RoC. Like every good game there are aspects of that could use improvement. The in game shop... prices for game currency are outrageous. Especially when you take into consideration the items you end up receiving plus how few of said items you can receive. Maybe it's on my end but I'm constant having connection issues. 2/26 enjoying the update. Prices for everything in the shop are still insane. will we have a company step up to give us fair prices? • It’s ok but it needs some work Dec 19, 2020

    By gdheksjdblldifkek
I started playing once it came out and was so excited for this game so I grind my characters up but, I feel like I have to wait for every single thing there’s not enough materials available to rank up and the matchmaking system is really flawed when I’m on a team with the same type of character. I really hate the idea of onslaught it’s really hard for all players and it’s especially hard for the match making system when players who just started keep on dying when players who have experience can’t keep up with the slack. Also when I play onslaught it happens so rarely plz make it to where you can play it all day on the weekends. When I played onslaught my gear would always disappear and I would fight like I just got the character. I’m the future could you also add more story elements because y’all say there’s a story but you don’t even realize it can you also add more modes and characters and gear in the future thank you.

  • Love it, but PLEASE fix this! Dec 28, 2020

    By Whauusjskajehe
I have been playing the absolute crap out of this game. It is a lot of fun. To the point where I have actually spent $20 on it so far, and I very very very rarely have ever spent a single dollar on a mobile game. There is one HUGE GLARING problem though that I feel needs to be addressed if I’m going to actually appreciate the game long term. The catalysts used to tier up your champions. The game initially lets you get 10-20 fairly easily by simply playing and completing achievements. Which is awesome. You get 2 champions to tier 2. Up to level 20. But then when you get a new character and find out you really love it. You can easily get stuck needing 2-3 days worth of catalysts just to get to tier 2 where most of your gear will be dropping at level 12. There is no amount of grinding that can get them. And as of right now the literal only way for me to buy them is to spend 80 dollars to buy a bundle that only contains 10. Which is 1/3rd of the amount needed to get a champion to tier 3. which is another HUGE problem in itself. I am basically locked out of getting a tier 3 champion for 15 days of grinding every day at least 6 games because it requires 30 tier 1 catalyst. So I can’t even spread out and get my other champions to level 20 and have more fun that way. Rant over. Please please fix this. Give us some option to get more tier 1 catalyst. Or in the very least reduce the amount needed for t3 and maybe even t2.

  • So far decent but a little issue Feb 13, 2021

    By Vinjonc
The game itself is decent. The graphics are good and the play is better than some I’ve used. I’m ok with grinding for things because if you could get great stuff right off then it wouldn’t have any sustainability. The character screen is fairly simple yet usable and understandable. The variety of gear and characters is a bit limited but I’m hopeful as the game ages. I’m fine with the characters being split into classes. Maybe you could introduce new characters as unlockable for a class such as making War Machine parts an option for the legionnaire build. Also using say Falcon parts for the legionnaire build as a way to use different heroes or villains. I like the color primary and secondary customization idea I’ve seen on other reviews. I also would like the ability to switch genders so I could have a male storm character or a female hulk character. I do have one issue that may make me give up this game though. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and when I play this game for any length of time it heats up the phone considerably. As soon as close the game the phone cools off. This doesn’t happen during any of my other games and I have some much larger or more graphically intense games. If it continues to do my phone this way I will have to dump the game. Overall the game is interesting and good with high potential just new with some growing pains right now.

Funny how this game decides to on release allow you to unlock all the champions for free, then on a later date, pulls all that back and hides every single one of them behind a paywall. As if they couldn’t greed enough, they lock the best gear behind a paywall as well. And that’s just starting the game! When you get into the game, you realize just how little content this game has. There’s quite literally nothing to do except do battles against enemy players. It’s the same thing over and over. Why in the world would they release this utter steaming pile of trash for all to play when they can’t even allow you to play more than two champions. Do not download this game. The gear system is blatantly made for micro-transactions, just getting champions is a micro-transaction, and the content is minimalistic. At least if you want to make a game, make it decent. Make the champions available from the get-go. Make it so you WANT to customize your hero. Kabam makes games just fine, but Disney is having a serious cash-grabbing problem. They don’t understand how to make a fun game, and same goes for the people who decided on the updates.

Updated post.. Game has tons of bugs. Don't know if the devs are actually doing anything, last update didn't remove the bugs from the game. Poor connection and ai system. Most problematic issue so far is the game won't load properly, it keeps trying to reconnect me to a 4 day old match. Same critical error reconnecting message keeps popping up. I've uninstalled the game multiple times and it hasn't done anything. Waiting to see if they do something about it.
