So okay, this game is good, however, I would not have paid $2 for it. Although to me, I think the experience was worth it? See for what it was going for, it’s a good game. I LIKE how relaxing it was for a change, sure someone may find it boring and I’ll admit it can come across that way, but I still think it was engaging, and aside, That’s The Point. It’s simple fun, relaxing, or whatever. If you don’t want something easy and relaxing (which it clearly advertises as) then don’t buy it. That said, it could use some work, but it does have a lot of potential. I’m not sure if the creators are planning on making any changes or updates but, new mechanics and just MORE would make it awesome. I really couldn’t decide wether to give this a 3 or 4 but I’m gonna go with the benefit of the doubt because I enjoyed myself and was even sad when I made it to level 60 and the game was over. (Maybe add a more concrete story too, i like what they had going but it needs a little work) TL:Dr - it’s a nice little game if you want to relax, it’s got a simple mechanic and cute little graphics and a bit of a story if you look, although it might not be worth $2- I’d buy it again

Excellent! Like real world exploration of Mars, it helps to have perseverance and curiosity.

This game was so fun! I loved the mechanics and how the puzzles varied in difficulty along with the storyline. Several stumped me for at least a dozen attempts, and I usually play through puzzle games very quickly! However, I was confused with what the story was? I even completed the bonus level and went back to the pivotal levels in the plot to see if I missed anything and still have no idea what was going on besides something vaguely nefarious (Well, a little more than that from the pictographs between some of the levels and the final bonus cutscene, but I don’t want to spoil anything). Also, I encountered a bug. Sometimes when went back to the beginning of the level if I got stumped, my first tower would disappear when I touched it. If I left the level and came back to it, everything was fine, but it happened a lot during the last 30 or so levels as the difficulty increased and I had to reset more frequently. Between that and the nebulous plot, I knocked off a star, but otherwise I LOVED this. Very relaxing and vaguely eerie puzzle game.

Finally decided to pick up this little title after seeing it popping up on the games screens with the cute lil art work. I’m up to lvl 32 and I’m enjoying it. I assumed from reviews that it would be much easier than it is. I’m not saying that it’s hard but I’ve had to think and redo my plotting more than a few times to say the least. I’m glad it’s not too easy! Feels just right~ I’m enjoying how it does not hold your hand as I feel like it’s more enjoyable discovering how things work. Also been noticing tiny strawberry’s on some levels so I always make sure to grab those before I solve a level tho I’m not sure what their purpose is yet. Looks like they unlock a special level later on but that’s just a guess from seeing the levels splash screen. I’ll return to finish my review and after I have completed the game and update rating accordingly. As of now I give it a solid 4 as it as been a bit btr than what I was actually expecting. It is pretty much as stated tho. A simple relaxing puzzler, and I like that just fine! No timers or actions that make you feel like you are losing progress or frustrate you, Just a simple discovery and explore mechanic that gradually throws in another small obstacle as you start to get the hang of the last one~ Good job on the game and fairly priced for what I have experienced. Thx devs👍🤗

UPDATE: Very much appreciate the update to the app. I enjoyed the puzzles. To tell you the truth, they made me take very unorthodox ways to finish the level which was in itself very cool - makes one realize how the most obvious answer is not always the right one. I digress. I liked the "Kubrick" Ending. I'm sure the story was meant to be slightly vague in order for imagination to flourish - which seemed to be an important part of the game. Thank you for the app. With the update, well worth the money now. Thank you for your time, I look forward to future games and/or further updates. Other people don't understand the idea of a relaxing puzzle game - hence the lack of 5 stars. For me, no brainer 5 stars. I appreciate the departing from the everyday app of today. No ads (HUGE plus), no competition, no interaction with anyone (kind of like...MARS?!). Is the app the most fun I've had? I'd be lying if I said yes; however, it is a fun puzzle game. A few thoughts: 1) Maybe have a timed level on each tenth level. Have something start to kill the spaces. Just a thought. 2) On some levels, you can finish it without all of the pieces. Maybe have that be a secret point that unlocks something in the deeper levels. Some sort of customization? Maybe the generators can look differently? I definitely think it's a good app with much more to discover. I look forward to it!

Interesting puzzles, some were quite tough. What's the deal with the level behind the purple button with the single tower and the pyramid?

Overall I enjoyed the game as a slow-paced, easy, puzzle game. The description that had brought me in originally was as a “resource management” game - it is not that at all, but still a fun little game. Some of the levels are more difficult, but most are pretty easy (and that’s okay!). In many ways it felt like the puzzles were a vehicle for the story, so having an obvious one-step level later in the game didn’t detract because it was more about what was happening in the level. I just wish that the story had been more realized. It felt a bit like the levels ended right when the story was getting intriguing. The game has a lot of potential, but didn’t quite get there for me. I hope that the developer makes more games, though, because there is a lot good here and I want to see what they make next.

I’ve been closely following the game from the App Store and playing it and I decided to rewrite me review after seeing how responsive the company is I went from being kind of disappointed to very hopeful for the game. The developers seem to really care and this game really can deliver and especially with the careful eye of the developer on consumer response has great potential. Eloquently not beaten by the disappointment they have come back in response to build the game past the current state of the game; which we have seen with other successful apps responding and adjusting the game to entice current consumers further. I do believe that this is a potential 99% rated five star game! Also the game needs a level select to go back to specific levels rather than flipping through 60 to get there.

Puzzle game with no logic or strategy in working them out. It just feels like guessing how to solve "Lights Out" levels which get progressively more complex and even less logical. The game feels pointless and boring. I honestly don't see where the dev was going with it.. possibly trying to trick people into thinking it was some sort of strategy game when it's basically just a maze where you "restore power" to buildings in the correct random order to advance to the next identical stage. Zzzzzzzzz

Got this for free on sale, I wouldnt recomended anyone buying this. There is no logic to the puzzles. All you do is drag the power to a spot until you get it right. There is literally nothing to do. Its all based on pure luck and no reason. Worst waste of data downloading this. Theres no tactics at all.

I really like this game a lot, it’s a really clever little puzzler. My one complaint (and reason for the missing star) is the very irritating flashing and shaking of the puzzle pieces. I want to just sit and think for a minute but this thing is driving me batty with its shiny little insistence. It would be awesome if that could be disabled in the options. If that kind of thing doesn’t bother you, than this is a five star game, especially at .99 cents. UPDATE: The more I play this game the more irritating the shaking is, ugh!! It ruins what would be a great game.

No instructions at all, and only one puzzle is unlocked at a time, so if you can't figure something out, it's all over.

Excellent ! It's been a while i didn't feel the need to 💯 a game. As most comments it took me 2 days to finish because I couldn't stop playing it. I loved the 2 levels in ones with the optional goals. I first you have to figure out how it works then you need to wire your brain to use these rules to solve the puzzles. It's obviously not for everyone but i urge you to give it a chance and try it. Thank you :)

Need 3d with 4h+ of total playtime to complete all the level on this game.. Overall is good and satisfying, but i cant managed to collect strawberry and enter the portal till i watch youtube (just want to see how these "easter egg" work lol).. So my feedback is maybe u can add a picture/tutorial (tutorial level?) how to collect the strawbery and enter the portal, that wuld be nice hehe.. Once again, thanks for making this game :))

I don’t know what people are saying about this game being ‘bad,’ but I’d disagree as long as you’re expecting to play a relatively slow-paced, somewhat easy, storied, but fun puzzle game. As in many puzzle games, some of the puzzles are easy and some are difficult. I appreciate that none are, as in many other games, dependent on excruciatingly accurate timing or reflexes to complete. My one complaint so far is this: when I went back to replay an earlier level, exited the game and reentered, my progress had been reset to that earlier level. I didn’t lose that much progress, but it’s still a bug I’d like to see fixed. Overall, good game (and, judging by the few of their comment responses I read, good devs)!

Fabulous game here! Playing this cool game is really fun and relaxing. I love all things Mars, and this doesn’t disappoint! The gameplay is simple, yet you have to be careful with the way you solve each puzzle. I love the music and atmosphere, this game really takes you into the Mars experience! The game itself progresses 1 year (level) at a time and makes you the boss of Mars colony, providing a steady power supply to the red planet’s inhabitants. I also love the retro-style 2-D graphics! Overall, this game is a ton of fun and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to have a relaxing time on Mars! Enjoy!

  • Not a sim app Aug 18, 2018

    By *Shazam666*
I had thought this was going to be a sim type app, grow your own crops, earn power grids, etc. it’s not at all like that. What it is, is it’s more of a puzzle type game. You have to put the solar grids in the right places, so that the power grids get to the housing, and the purple goo gets its stuff to work as well. When it’s done right, you get smiley faces. I’m already on Year 25, and I don’t dislike the game, and they do say “easy puzzle”. So I do think that may be the reason for so many low ratings, we expected more then we got. That’s why it’s the four stars for me, I am enjoying it, just expected something more involved. But for the price, I am good with it.
  • Good Game that could use a few improvements Aug 16, 2018

    By Melders23
Like others have said, the game can be completely fairly quickly and a few levels were very simple, we even later on in the game. The positives are this is a very relaxing game. There definitely were a few levels that made you have to pick your timing and strategize which shows great potential from the development team. Will there be more levels added in the future? I certainly hope so, but if not I’m satisfied with my purchase.

As a digital artist myself this is beautiful. I like the mechanics of the game and the level of it. It is a good way to relax after hard work. One of the best puzzle games in years. I would love to see more levels. I think that this is a nearly perfect game. Keep at it!
  • Alright Aug 16, 2018

    By Michael's Computer
It's not horrible like a lot of the other reviews say. But by no means is it a challenge for anyone over the age of 12 to complete. I think that the issue with its simple puzzles and hard to pick up story line splits the demographic of people who might enjoy the game. It would be cool if they added a mode where you could actually build a base and fight off the Martian energy thingies. The art is super cool and would be great for that. Or even like and endless puzzle mode that put people against each other. There was no score and I felt like there was better ways to do certain levels than other ways.

If that kind of thing doesn’t bother you, than this is a five star game, especially at .99 cents. UPDATE: The more I play this game the more irritating the shaking is, ugh!! It ruins what would be a great game.

No instructions at all, and only one puzzle is unlocked at a time, so if you can't figure something out, it's all over.
