This app has helped me so much. The way it’s broken down it doesn’t let you get overwhelmed. There are all kinds of different types of meditations to tackle specific worries or troubles and just a clean design. I hope they dont take this away ever. Where I am now to where I was even 2 weeks ago with my practice is awesome. I can now feel myself bringing myself back to the present and calming quicker. This takes practice from you to make it work but it so absolutely worth it. They even give you a training plan to start based on what you are trying to accomplish. The ladies voice is good and relaxing enough to help you ease into your practice. So happy with this app.

I had luminosity years ago with the same email address. I’ve always used the same p/w, but your system would not accept it this time. It took several Daz filled with total frustration before I could access the system. I didn’t know a number to call. Finally i got in!!!!!

A very useful app that seems to be good in its way. I'd buy the full version of it if this app hadn't been priced so high. Nevertheless, you can use a free version of it for a while so I recommend it anyway 👍

Like this app, it gives you sessions in 5 min increments to make it easier to form and stick with the habit. It's simple and useful

Very pleased with the variety of targeted mindfulness programs to choose from as well as the 'experiencial' component when using the voice guided exercises. I have used other meditation/mindfulness apps in the past, and this has been the best experience by far. I am a long time (10-15 yrs) user of the original Lumosity app as well.

The meditation program is well thought out and well designed BUT the choice of using a young woman with a childish, high pitched, breathy voice was so unwise. Personally speaking I can’t bear to listen to that voice for more than 30 seconds. This app would be improved if it had a choice of voices; one of which was lower pitched. Sadly I have to use a different app: one not so well designed but using a guide with a professional voice.

Seems great but they need to invest in other languages. For example, lessons in spanish.

is essentially a type of therapy that we all need in these very difficult times. Most of us associate age with lagging brain power but really that is not so. The exercises are well developed and are the kind of relaxation and challenge that are just plain fun but very beneficial. You’ll be glad you did!

I have tried guided meditation videos in the past without success, but there’s something about this one that I really like. It’s simple, starts you off with short (4 min) guided sessions, and I really like the girls voice and the weird yellow blobs on the screen. I highly recommend it!

  • Won’t work with existing account Jan 17, 2020

    By matthewclower
It wouldn’t let me create a new account because I have an existing account with my email address already on their legacy app. It didn’t let me log in with the existing credentials, so I clicked the forgot my password to reset the login. It sent me an email clearly stating the link was good for 15 minutes and only works once. That takes me to a web page which then takes me back to the app. The app says something didn’t go as planned please try again. I can try the first email or try to reset it again with the same result. So, the instructions conflict with each other and... don’t work. I’m sure the app is great, but you have to be able to use it to tell.
  • Create Account just to try?? Nov 16, 2019

    By FM_M
Trying out an app before choosing to purchase it means removing the barriers to entry before the user commits, but that’s not just money. Privacy has really come to the forefront in the last handful of years, and while it’s nice to know I can try an app before paying a few bucks to commit, deciding to give my personal information is a far bigger decision today. For a user who is just in testing mode, why do they require an account? Really? That mode can’t be all on-device until they make the choice to purchase? I think you could easily design your app to do that. Then you can place account creation together in the same process with payment, when the user decides to commit; you can even make it part of a welcome process. As it is, I couldn’t even test out this app. Their free trial requires an account before even trying it. Side note: Sign In With Apple would completely moot all of this.

    1. Create an account (give you my email?) before I’ve even SEEN your app? No thanks. I’m sure you have thousands of bogus emails in your system because this is a really dumb system. 2. Only a 7 day free trial? Needs to be 30 days if you want to hook new users. 3. Pricing at $60 per year only. Hah. Seems like you’re afraid that new users will quit in < 1 year so you’re maximizing revenue on a crappy product. I can afford your fees but your scammy pricing drive me away before I even tried it. DELETE.
  • PW reset function is broken Nov 22, 2019

    By Gtui
Apparently I have a previous Lumosity account but when the app sent me a recovery link, something broke in the process (I tried three times). I see others have had this same problem. Click forgot PW button App advises recovery email sent App offers (nice touch) button to open email Click open email button, email opens Click link in email Get sent to App Store page where you can only click ‘OPEN’ Click OPEN App opens and you’re stuck on same log in page Ironically seethe with rage after doing this three times If this is a built in bug to make potential customers realize their need for meditation, well done! Mission accomplished! 😀

Where's the blue dot?! I rather have the blue enlarging circle than that malformed yellow randomness. There's no symmetry, I get irritated looking at it. At least with the blue circle there's symmetry and interactive breathing synchronicity. Also the voices before were much calmer, now it's just too ...perky. maybe just put them in other categories, not on everything

I installed the app some time ago but didn't have time to check it out. Despite the app was never used it drained the battery. I restricted background services but after each phone restart the app was using the battery again. So I decided to finally try the app today but I couldn't login. I tried to login with my lumosity account and create a new account. Both failed. "Something went wrong". Waste of time! Sorry guys, uninstalling it. And I'm not going to waste more time for customer support.
  • It won’t let me in! Dec 2, 2019

    By Astarte98
So frustrating. Makes you set up an account before you can test it out. It recognized my email as having a Lumosity account so it switched from “create an account” to “login to your Lumosity account.” No matter what I do I get an error message. Used the forgot password link. Reset my lunosity password. Logged in using new password. Logged in using Face ID. Waaaaaaay too much effort and I’m not even in yet. Does not bode well for the quality of the app.

Long time user of the lumosity brain training app. I was very excited when I first saw this app on the App Store , and downloaded it immediately and gave it a try . I was pleasantly surprised at how good this app is . Targeted towards your goals and very easy to use . Probably the best meditation app so far .

Love that they split this off from the original app. I've done ~100 minutes of meditation so far. Content is all in one voice. Consistency of recording quality, tone, etc are all important, so it's nice they made that effort. The sound awareness meditation is a bit annoying. She tells you to pay attention to sounds but then talks over that moment making it impossible to focus. It would also be nice to have freeform sessions. Right now you're limited to 15 minutes. Overall its a good start.

After a few months of diligently using this app and meditating on a daily basis, I have finished all of them and would love more to choose from. It gets boring listening to the same ones over and over. I love it but want more new ones. The sleep meditations are the best!!

It is really nice going through these sessions.so far i have completed 100+ minutes in 10 days..i really feel that there is something good ,giving relaxing feel to mind. the training based on voice and it is excellent.I get into it in April 2020 and it was fully free but now it's not. That made me sad.So i think the per month subscription fee is high so it will be more excellent if it is made according to the needed session or something like that. Good going .Keep it up.

I had a severe TBI active duty. I stay up days at a time. I am looking for something that works. Hopefully this is it. Focusing on the breathing in the beginning is making me yawn and sleepy. I have not gotten into the deep sessions yet. Hopefully they are longer than Four minutes. That will not knock me out.

    By small town news
My 3 stars might be kind. I’m halfway through the focus series and all I can notice is that the narrator talks constantly, making it impossible to focus on whatever I’m supposed to be focusing on. This was especially annoying when I was asked to focus on the sounds around me and all could pay attention to was the voice.

I really miss the subdued blue lighting an the symmetrical blue dot. The bright yellow blob is not conducive to rest, relaxing, or sleep. The voice seems less soft then it was when this was being previewed on the brain training app. I do like the longer sleep sessions, but again the bright yellow blob is a complete miss!! It is completely contrary to sleep. Time will tell if I stay with this version. I did like the way it was when it was being previewed originally.
