I have been searching for a new hearing system that is budget friendly and has the technology that I need to stream and found mine at Sams hearing Centers! I was very surprised to learn that Sam’s has hearing aids, and top line service. My visit went very well, no pressure, and I just walked in. Extremely knowledgeable I must say my, I was impressed. Best part is my ability to stream my calls and media into my new hearing aids. Hearing my conversations in both ears w direct streaming is a game changer for me. Thank you Lucid Hearing and Sam’s hearing centers, will definitely recommend.

I was disappointed that the Android app did not support phone calls and streaming; however, it now does after a update to the app and the hearing aids a couple of weeks after I bought them.

Had some issues when it first came out but now that the connection has been perfected I love using it to take phone calls and listen to music. Just like any Bluetooth device, it uses a little more battery life when streaming but the rechargeable batteries make it easy to power back up quickly. The specialist at Sam’s was very thoughtful and explained how to use it and taught me how to troubleshoot any connection issues.

Volume control and a few preset programs for environmental conditions w/o user setting options is what the current release supports. Most desired features like phone call and audio streaming functions still not supported.

It worked great with my hearing aids the first week and now it's constantly switching programs and leaving my hAs in demo mode. Its super annoying. Constantly disconnecting and never in sync with the phones Bluetooth.
  • Disappointing Jan 29, 2021

This week I at my Lucid appointment I was forced to switch over from the very stable Apple configurable connection to this unstable app. I’m having the connections drop independently, and having to off/on via open/close the battery cover. I also find the default for phone usage is streaming to the hearing aid which Is not my preference. This app is close, but is not really ready for prime time. Please address the connection issues and provide ability to set user preferences. Update: When streaming from the phone one must swipe to this app to get to the audio eq settings. As soon as the audio eq settings are loaded they go gray and there is no way to configure the eq settings. What is the point of this feature since it turns itself off becoming unavailable when it is needed?

The software has lots of issues. The hearing aids din't stay connected. The programs (Lucid, Noise and creating) drop from the list. Not happy with the current setup.
  • Junk Dec 22, 2020

    By KY whip
This app has caused me too much trouble as it is unstable and in my opinion useless. If you have an iPhone 7 or 8, The better option is to open your hearing aid battery doors, open accessibility on your iPhone, then Hearing Devices and then while the phone is searching for devices, close the battery doors. Wait until your hearing aids are found and then you will have the option to hear your phone in your hearing aids. With this set up, three quick presses on the home button will bring up a screen to control volume etc. Hope this helps.
  • Terrible app!! Dec 21, 2020

    By Not Lucid
After getting my Lucid hearing aids adjusted, I was initially excited to see a Lucid Hearing application with some nice features. However, all it does is continues to say connecting, then connected, connecting etc.. When it did connect could not access a phone call or adjust hearing levels. Tried closing app and restart phone several times. I am am done, going back to Apple’s hearing in Accessibility that works. Suggest Lucid shut down application until fixed!

Update has taken App from utilitarian to completely useless. Rating should be Zero instead of 1.
  • Changes volume Feb 5, 2021

    By Garyesq
Every half hour or less raises volume to 50% from my preference of 30%. Also constantly switches to separate controls although I want them to be the same. Poor programming.

My experience with lucid has been terrible!! I bought a new iPhone and they worked fine. Went in for an adjustment and they had an update to the hearing aids. New app too. Now the hearing aids don’t stay connected or reconnect no matter what I do. I wish I would have paid the money for the more expensive pair somewhere else. Support isn’t the best either.

This is the newer version of this app and one of the biggest complaints is that it will not auto connect to Bluetooth like the previous app did.
  • App Turns Off Throughout The Day Dec 21, 2020

After my hearing aids are paired in the morning, the app disconnects throughout the day and I re-pair numerous times in 16 hours. I do not turn app off......it disconnects the Bluetooth.....annoying.

If I could the rating would be 1.5 stars. It’s very disappointing that the people who build what is probably the best technological hearing aid on the market with the best price can’t support it. I came in today looking to see if there was an upgrade to the lucent program that controls my hearing aids. There isn’t I have learned in the over a month that I’ve been using the new software that there is no way to contact the people that should be debugging it. If you contact the email associated with software you get a person who can’t do anything other than forward your issues on to the programmers. In the era of modern electronica technology it amazes me that people who are supposed to be text savvy can’t be contacted. I think it speaks to the fact that they really don’t care. Going forward the hearing aid software is buggy it does a reasonable job of allowing you to set the volume and program for the hearing aids but almost any change makes you lose your setting and have to put it back in. They were supposed to be on the unlock button for the equalizer which doesn’t exist. Meaning if you start streaming a YouTube video and start getting chirpy nasty feedback you have absolutely no way to fix it because if you close the YouTube window you disconnect the program. I would be discussing this with my hearing aid rep at my Sams except he’s only in one day a week now and the manager who comes in doesn’t really do any good. So here we are with what could be great hearing aids with a great program watching them once againNeglect and ignore their clients. They drop the warranty on the hearing aids to be limited to four years so you can’t buy an extended warranty so in two more years I may be looking at other hearing aids.
