One of the best apps I've played in a long time, but way too expensive

I am simply addicted to this game - however the amount of gems it requires to make any substantial progress with your matches it ridiculous. The amount of free gems we receive daily is not enough to even cover the lowest premium answer. It's extremely frustrating because I often feel forced to pick the premium option because the non-premium response is usually pretty mean!! I would be willing to pay for a monthly subscription for this game if it meant getting ridiculous premium prices. If this continues, I can't imagine I'll end up keeping this game. It is ridiculously expensive to open pictures or give good responses. I also found out in another response that characters have counterparts (aka the same exact character but a different name/appearance), and I was actually extremely disappointed once I looked into that. For example, I matched with Angel, but then I found out her counterpart is Emmalyn, who I personally find so much prettier. However, I've put enough energy into developing my relationship with Angel that unmatching her just to get Emmalyn seems like a giant waste! On the other hand, it makes me less excited about Angel now, knowing Emmalyn is out there but I'll never get to meet her. Additionally, I'd like some way to be able to customize my character.

Exciting but frustrating. I love it, just wish I didn't have to wait so long between messages. Also, the gems! I really hate the gems, wish you could earn more and faster. I have given up buying them a long time ago as the company that made the stories ripped me off big time (not this company), so unfortunately other companies like this one will never get my money now. I do not mind working for the gems but it is so sloowwwww! I do love the story line though, fun to read.

I love this game. It is very fun and makes lose track of time. I do think it is a bit pricy if you want to get gems in order to do the fun stuff, which is understandable. I was thinking that maybe there could be balance where people can get some stuff that usually cost a lot of gems with time and then others that can afford it can still choose to buy them. It is pretty impossible to unlock all pictures and choices when you only get about 15 gems and pictures alone are like 300. Maybe, we can be allowed to unlock a picture a day for free, or watch an ad instead, or maybe after a time window it will unlock by itself? Same thing could be done for the choices, though i think the option to watch an ad instead might be better. There is also the possibility of increasing the amount of gems we receive, that way we can actually save them up. Also, i was thinking of maybe adding more personality to the character so that when you swipe right it will actually match you with characters you are compatible with? Or maybe adding a “what are you looking for?” section. Lastly, i think it would be great if we had more choices and maybe the ability to react to the texts we want with our emoji of preference, instead of pre-selected texts. Thank you for making this awesome game!!

I really like the stories and how creative each person is. But this really is a pay to play game which is REALLY disappointing. For example, you need to pay 120-150 gem for ONE answer and if you are diligent in getting free gems you can get 15 gems every 5 hours. This would mean if you wake up in the middle of the night, you can get at most 60-66(+ads) you'd have to wait two days for one answer and it just becomes very disappointing :(

Update: Still have great things to say about the game itself but getting frustrated over the lack of customer service communication. I’ve tried both in game and via email, but it’s been almost a week and zero response. —————————————————————— This app is super fun. The storylines are great, and the graphics are gorgeous. The only reason I’m giving it four instead of five stars is that the gem choices within the app are really costly and expensive. And the free daily gems are nowhere near enough to compensate. I think there needs to be a better balance between how much premium options cost and how many free gems a user can earn. Especially when the non gem responses are sometimes really mean sounding. I also think it would be great if there was a customization option for our MC. Lastly, I really hope that in the future, there may be a second storyline option for the characters you can’t match with because you’re already with their counterpart. There’s some characters I’m bummed I can interact with because I didn’t know there was another version with the same story (EX: Albert/Jonathan and Jaden/Skylar). It would be awesome if there was a second story available for each character, so you could still match with the counterpart at some point.

It's a fun app but it is veeeeery expensive. The photos are far too expensive and I don't even bother looking at them because I don't want to encourage the company to continue greedy behavior like that. I get paying for choices, which are also expensive, but for pictures? At least make them cheaper. You only get 15-18 free gems if you only log in once a day. Choices are 180 gems and photos are 300. For $2 real money (200 gems), you can pay for one choice NOT a photo. This is just crazy pricing.

I’m really loving this game so far, and am enjoying all the different stories and matches. I just wish diamonds weren’t so rare and hard to come by. Since unblurring a “photo” can cost up to 300 diamonds, and increasing character intimacy only gives you around 15/20 diamonds per upgrade, the wait is unrealistic. Especially if you’ve got quite a list of stories going at once (and honestly, nobody’s going to pay 50+ dollars worth of diamonds to see a drawing of a guy with his shirt off lol; google is free, and the models there are real!) So, I’d love it if there were free diamond options in addition (ads, reviews, rewards, etc), or even a pay pass that would unlock pictures/responses for a day/week/month, whenever. Plus, I think you should remove the option to use diamonds on text responses. I’ve clicked those by accident and they’re such a waste and frustrating - so much so, I’ve even closed the game. Frankly, no emoticon is worth any amount of diamonds! I’d rather use mine on date choices and pictures, and once others realize how rare diamonds are, they’ll probably quit out of rage. But other than that, it’s a very fun game. If the diamond issue doesn’t get fixed though, I’ll probably lose interest or get too frustrated since it’s such a blatant cash grab, it’s insulting.

It was fun at first... Until it wasn't. It pretty much became a game of how many of the matches can ghost you and for how long. Some of the matches say "I'll talk to you soon" or " see you tomorrow" then they disappear for days sometimes weeks or more. I only log in now to get points cause the gem cost is crazy. 300 gems for a photo. 120 gems for a premium choice. I wouldn't care so much about the high gem price if it wasn't for the huge Lull in conversations. 20 matches and they're all inactive

I just want to say that I have read some reviews myself and heard about counterparts, that needs to be fixed, have people think of new origins for new people everyday instead of the same ones all the time. Another thing is that yes the game is soooo pricy, I would play a lot and recommend this game to others IF you let us get more gems every time we log in, like 100 daily or 70 or to even 50, just some more so we can have more fun playing, and I know you can’t do that because you need to make a profit out of the game, why don’t you add customization on the characters and their names on premium, OR EVEN LET PEOPLE MAKE THEIR OWN CHARACTER, that would really be exciting, just find a way where we all can agree with! Can you also add a filter for only a certain gender too? Would make it easier. One last thing, can you please tell me what it means when you swipe right for someone but then they chat with you, or you don’t match, is it because they swiped left to make it more realistic instead of where everyone liked you? Because that’s pretty smart but also disappointing, I really wanted to chat with some of them... Other than all of this, keep up the good work, your game has a bright future ahead!

I love the game and the interesting stories and I connect with the caracters on a deep level. All seems good until the story goes on sleep mode 😒 I run out of matches...they're left only the ones that I really don’t like...AT ALL. I play this since mid-october and I've spent money on the game and now I'm stuck here...I think I will uninstall the game for a while, maybe when I'm back, my previous matches will continue their stories. Still, leave 5 stars because the game is lovely. Disappointed ☹

Hiii! I’ve been playing this game for months now and I have a suggestion! Instead of creating a bunch of new characters, and stories with them. Could the team continue the stories and people that are ‘offline’. I have been very interested in some of the story lines, and when I wait for weeks on end; I end up forgetting much of them. I enjoy this app, because it does pass the time, but this is just a suggestion! Thank you in advance:)<3

Really enjoy the different characters and story options. I know, as others have said, it takes a lot of diamonds to get through the best choices for a character to level up your lovelink bar, but I tend to just save up a lot between characters so I don't really have any issues with this. I also save up diamonds to unlock the pictures later and I enjoy collecting them all!

I absolutely love this app, really addicting. It’s nice that we have to wait real time, and not be able to skip forward, because I feel like there would be tons more complaints about getting stories out faster. I do have to agree with another review though. Things can get pretty pricey for gems. They are nice though and every 6 hours you get free gems and can watch an ad to get 3 more. I also recommend to anyone that you look up your character that you’re interested and their counterpart, if you find one more attractive than the other or something. I have also read on Reddit that many people hope that the devs really do try to add more to the stories of older matches, especially since, at least for me, those OGs are really my personal favorite and anyone else I match which right now I’m just ehh about. Hopefully some people may find this helpful! Also a possible recommendation: could there possibly be avatars, profile pics like the matches, that we could use to be our main character instead of it being a color and a silhouette? It would make more sense for when someone is complimenting your eyes and you don’t like like the girl who chewed gum on Willy Wonka.

I don’t write reviews often, but I couldn’t not write one for this game. It’s so fun, addicting, and I have nothing but positive things to say about it. The characters (especially the guys) are so adorable and the variety of different guys is amazing! Granted some of the guys I’ve matched with I can’t talk to anymore.. maybe their still being worked on.. no clue, but that’s perfectly fine! I’m so happy there’s more being added cause I play this app everyday and I love talk to my new and old boys. The only flaw is the gem system.. I always get my 15 gems and the extra 3, but I still won’t have ever enough to unlock the sexy pics.. I know you guys have to make money, but it takes me a few days just to get enough gems for a gem answer on my dates. While trying to do that I still try to express my love with my other boys and use a few gems here or there... so it takes me even longer. I do wish that the amount of gems per day would be upped at least to 25 every five hours, but other than that this game is perfect! I love so much and it’s made very well so it gets five stars!

Definitely fun, and a unique take on this kind of app. I’m enjoying it so far. The only issue I have is that unpaid responses to certain things can be downright rude or “out of character”. Obviously in apps like this the unpaid ones are going to be lamer, I’m used to that and don’t mind paying here and there for characters or scenes I’m really in to, but its just not especially enjoyable AT ALL to go from a light hearted moment to basically outright insulting a character and then having to sit through the awkward follow up where your character gripes or is rude or complains for several beats. I’m definitely less likely to try out new routes when it means “I” have to be a jerk to people unless I pay $60 per story or whatever. Anyway, there are some bugs... I keep getting stuck on “Alice Martin’s” blank profile when I try to view anyone else’s, or something will show as if your date is saying something when it’s clearly meant to be you or vice versa. Overall, not bad. It’s nice that it’s often more adult when a lot of these sort of things are rated for preteens.

There are some things that I do find a little sad though. I do wish we could match with other counterparts of the characters, which would give more opportunity to play more of the game. Especially since quite a few character stories aren’t out yet, so I am a little sad we can’t play the counterparts of the other characters. I do love the game over all, and it’s made so well! I’m so happy I decided to play it, but I also kinda wish that things weren’t so expensive gem wise. I totally understand why it’s done, but like for me, I can’t really buy my own gems right now, and you end up running out really quickly. Obviously I’m not saying you have to change anything, but that’s just how I felt personally. Over all though I love the game so much and can’t wait till the other characters stories are out, and other ones are updated as well! I can’t wait to see where this goes. This is so fun and one of my favorite games to play! And the stories for each character is so fun to play!

I love this game so much and yes I wish we customize our own characters and see what I look like. But the biggest issue is this has made me restart twice now. Once when I was almost half way through my stories and then my progress just disappeared and that was yesterday and started a new game, but today it want to start over again even though I linked my account I still lost my progress. Please fix this.

So let’s get to it. This game had be addicted IMMEDIATELY. You find great people with great stories. You get to have fun/cute/steamy convos. And the dates are almost always a good time too 😉. Now here’s the BUT ... Thank goodness I have a job cause I’m pretty sure I spent $500 playing this game lol oops... I’m not sure how much the paid options / gem choices influence the characters but I always choose them just incase... Now the other BUT is that I downloaded this game a week ago and I already feel like I beat it! All of my matches are now M.I.A living their best life without me and I can barely match with anyone else or the people I do match with (because I’m just swiping right for the hell of it) I don’t have much interest in so I let the timer run down and I unmatched them... I know this is new but hopefully you guys can get a full team of writers to finish up some of these stories and maybe add some MC customization a long the way! Anyway, had a great time playing the game I’ll keep it downloaded just Incase it updates with more storylines for all my hotties!

Honestly the game has great potential but boy are those gem photos expensive! It seem like this game is following a love island the game format so can you please be like love island the game and ask for 20 or 30 gems instead of freaking 300 gems to unlock one photo? That is just way too much and I have already spent 45 dollars on this one app! You guys should really decrease the amount of gems we need just to unlock one photo. Other games like this gives us steamy scenes for just 30 gems. Not photos but entire scenes! So please don’t be greedy make it cheaper to unlock photos or reward us more gems once we reach a relationship milestone. I had to unmatch with so many people because I would be spending soo much money trying to get intimate photos from everyone. This game has so much potential and is super addictive and fun. I hope you guys improve the gem situation please or I’ll have to go to my tired and true games. *edit* I forgot to include this initially but can you guys also add sound effect or music to the game? I don’t know if you guys will see this but hopefully someone else comments this!

Great app. Amazing and fun conversations. I've had a lot of fun and the pictures I've unlocked have mostly been worth it. It is unfortunate certain events or scenarios cost gems, but I've enjoyed most of the normal content. I put all my gems into one match and got all the content for that girl. Regretfully. Even if I login every six hours for months, I will barely unlock a few more pictures. Also on the downside. (I only match with girls, as I like girls) I've run out of matches and content.

I really enjoy the gams, but finish a storyline before you make a new character that isnt seasonal. I get the need and the love of making characters and wanting someone to take time while you finish up the art and the rest of the storyline for other characters, but it gets to a point to where it's harder to keep up with these characters. If you're going to introduce new characters, do one per 2 story lines until you're caught up. Maybe 2 per 4 if you want to even it out female and male.

This game is awesome, but I have to edit my comment. I'm sooo frustrated by the match frequency with the characters. I come every day since the release and some profiles are impossible to "date". I tried only with the girl's profiles, I don't know if it's the problem, but it's boring to have the half of the gale unavailable. It's still a huge game btw

I never played a game like this but it’s pretty fun so far! I love the art style and the different variety of characters! I like how it’s not just tailored to females! First edit: A huge tip that I really recommend is focusing on one person to use your gems on, otherwise you’ll waste your free 1000 gems really quickly in the first few days! I ended up like that, so I had to reinstall the game and start over! Also, I wish there was some sort of membership system like how some real dating apps have, where you can see people who have liked you or you can go back on the people you swiped left on. If the membership thing had daily gems as well, I would so invest in that and I feel like it would be more popular than buying gems cause honestly they’re pretty expensive compared to how other games go with their so and so gems! 2nd edit: I now realize that even if there’s an option to choose a guy to swipe right on, most of the time they’ll think you’re a girl which makes me think that the game is tailored to only straight people...I’m bumping my stars to 4 for now...

The game is super fun and a perfect way to pass time chatting! My only complaint is the way gems work. You can use them to unlock photos or dialog choices however it's much easier to spend them than it is to earn them. I only ask there be other ways or more ways to earn them because at this rate I won't be able to play anymore without waiting days on end for more gems to accumulate.

I got this game pretty soon after it was released and I played straight through it. I’ve spent LOTS of money on it since downloading it in September because I really enjoy it. My issue is that I feel like the developers released it before it was ready. After playing through so many character stories, they have all “gone on break.” It’s been such a long time since they’ve all become unavailable and there’s not really been any word on when they will be returning. The game has also had some weird error screens that have come up, but the developers did manage to resolve these in a semi timely manner. I really enjoy the game, it’s well thought through and very engaging. For this reason, it makes it disappointing to not be able to continue with character stories. And it’s discouraging to not really have any feedback yet from the developers about when our matches will return. It would have been better if we could have played the game with match stories already fully developed rather than experiencing these super long wait times where there is no end in sight. I hope they can get this figured out because it really is a fun app, and I don’t have any problems paying to play something I enjoy.

There really needs to be a way to save and revisit prior dates. They're a huge part of the Lovelink experience and it would be really fun to be able to go through them again. Also, sometimes you need to refresh what has happened with each character. Is there a way to completely reset and start over (without losing purchases)? Most games have a similar option. People would stick around of they had something to revisit before new updates.

I have to say I really love this game however I don’t like how the gem system works. Honestly it just seems like your pulling the same thing that all these other dating games pull (except maybe MysticMessenger) you get us pulled in with a wonderful story and idea but to really delve deep we have to use gems. And the thing with all dating games money system is that it’s a greedy scheme. It’s a “give us gems or you don’t get to unlock other options”. And once you run out you have to pay for more because the daily rewards only give 15 but most actions requiring gems are over 100. Maybe if there was other options, like watching adds to unlock these paths or pictures, but so far there isn’t. Y’all are scamming people out of money, without any real benefit. Like can we replay the stories without having to spend gems on pictures or conversations again? Or do you guys just want to keep milking the cash cow? For now I’ll stick to pc dating games. Because at least I don’t have to pay for most of them. And if I do, I don’t have to keep spending 50+ dollars just to follow a certain story path or 5 dollars just to buy an entire characters story. I think y’all should look into how you make money off this game

I'm enjoying the game so far. But I do have a complain. Gems take a great amount of time to be rewarded, and the prices for special options, images, etc. are quite high. I see a great amount of others have given feedback about the gems. Please consider lowering special option prices(quite a bit), have gems reward quicker, or possibly give an increased amount of gems for the rewards.

This game is funny and interesting. The jokes are corny but they are hilarious. The personality of each character stands out enough to actually be different. The storylines are really cute as well. It’s fun to progress in each story to see where the characters go and what they do. The game needs a few improvements though. The premium items cost WAY too many gems. By the time you earn enough gems to use on a premium item they are all gone at once. It’s hard enough as it is to earn the gems so it makes you not want to even use them. Also the gem packages are just ridiculously cheap for what you pay. It takes too long to earn gems because the amount you are able to earn each day is very minimal. You only earn like maybe 15 gems here or there every so many hours. That isn’t a lot to get you anywhere. This makes it hard for any teens to actually play given that this game is for 17+. Parents aren’t going to pay gem packages for the tiny amounts you get for purchases and you don’t earn enough to make a difference. If you fix the gem requirements for the premium items as well as increase the amount of gems you can earn each day, this game would be great.

I truly enjoy this game. It's engaging, I enjoy the relationships, stories, pictures and dates. However, the gem to real money ratio is horrendous. It truly is very expensive to play this game as intended. $5 for 550 gems which will let you see maybe 2 pictures if you're lucky. The game starts you off with a decent amount of gems, but free gem opportunities are such a miniscule amount there's no way to properly play without heftily paying. There are also some game play issues and bugs.

Really like the game but still with the gems. The daily rewards thing for Christmas was fun while it lasted. But now I'm back to waiting days at a time to get enough gems to make a single decision. Would love to see something similar to the daily rewards Christmas special in the future. Right now 15 gems every six hours makes the game progress really slowly.

In my opinion that is one of the biggest problems. Also there are so few people to match with and then when you do match with them they go offline forever!!! I've had this game for a month and about a week into playing I matched with all of my preferred gender and talked with them until they all went offline. In the two or so weeks since they went offline only one match has come back online and the convo lasted less than a day before it went back offline. It's honestly ridiculous how long they stay offline and how few people you can match with. On top of that f2p is super unrewarding as nearly every picture that gets sent to you requires 150+ gems to unlock!! Add in the fact that you occasionally need gems for more advanced storylines and you miss out on a ton a free to play player. I completely understand that the developers need to make money but picture unlocking is too far. I hope that this game continues to be worked on because I believe it has a lot of potential but it has a long way to go as well. Thanks!
