For the price this was a good little game. You could customize settings. The graphics were beautiful. The storyline, although not very original, still managed to hold my interest. Inventory was labeled and interactive and there were complex items to assemble. There was an excellent teleport map and loading was instantaneous between locations. At each location you collect rose symbols. The HO scenes had some variation but there wasn't anything unusual about them. The gimmick in this game is that you get to perform alchemy to require potions/items to further your game, and the alchemy kit had its own mini-game. There was a satisfying amount of puzzles/games, and in that variety was something for everyone. Some were games of skill and dexterity, others were rotational, and others were artistic. This game ran very smoothly. It wasn't a terribly long game, and I would have enjoyed a bonus adventure, but for $2.99 it was definitely worth playing. I am deducting a star for length, lack of a cohesive journal and lack of wallpapers. Still and all I would definitely recommend it to others. Lynxie sends 💋❤😘 to Catalina, KimTwilight, Izzyoc, Dracyy and the rest of the DTE! Off to play the new Sea of Lies! Hope it's a good one!

  • Good game, still hate the nagging for reviews. Mar 11, 2017

Pretty good game. I'm not a fan of the hidden object scenes and this game uses them sparingly compared to some others in the genre. My complaint (again) is the nagging pop up boxes to review the game. For heavens sake, enough already. Let me finish the thing so I know what I'm rating. Asking for reviews every half hour is just stupid and bad practice. I hope Apple brings down the hammer on this nonsense.

Really enjoying this HOG. Extremely well thought out. Excellent back story, graphics and game design. The HO Scenes have just the right amount of difficulty. Great bonus HO's to find that make you stop and appreciate the beautiful graphics of each new scene. No glitches I have encountered. Appreciate the discount on the early release. So happy to see quality games being produced again. I'm willing to wait on quality over quantity every time. So thanks again Artifex Mundi for being willing to stand apart. NOTE: Just an every day gamer, not asked, paid or compensated in any way for my review.

Excellent game, fairly long, mini games are quite straight forward, hidden objects straight forward. Overall a good and competent adventure. Recomended.

To clarify..this is by World Loom games (Artifex is the Publisher, World Loom is the developer). So shout out to World Loom..credit due for a fine game, decent story, unique (although repetitive) puzzles, fairly good length, no glitches or crashes; and to Artifex..thank you as always for low $2.99 intro price, but please don't request ratings so many times DURING gameplay. That pop-up is annoying. Thanks!

Cut scenes cut off, jerky and ending clipped off. Not a long game and no bonus. Rose icons to show where collected or not start ok but part way thru game they care always out as if collected. No way to go back. Overall fun game but needs work. Would give it 3.5 stars.

  • Lost Grimoires: Simple but Enjoyable Game! Mar 11, 2017

    By Izzyoc
3.5 stars bumped down to 3 World Loom Games brings us another Lost Grimoires tale. Story is not original and the characters, dialog and plot are somewhat simplistic but I am enjoying the game nonetheless. Smooth gameplay, quick transitions between scenes, custom mode of play, collectible roses in each scene. If you can get past the squeaky annoying voice of young prince Fern, this might be your cup of tea. No regrets about spending $2.99 for this game for me!

Lost Grimoires 2: Just finished the demo. It appears that once you have completed a section you cannot go back so I don't know if I have all the collectibles from those scenes. There's a map, an alchemy place, some unique puzzles. No morphing, no strategy guide. As most are saying it's short and the demo was short, not sure whether to purchase. Graphics good. Couldn't figure out what they were asking in some puzzles and scenes... rating it a 3.

Made by World Loom Games. It's fun. Player is the king's medic, so we make potions, save the prince, search through layberinths, etc. No strategy guide, but that's okay. Teleportation task map, hidden rose in each scene, multi-profile, custom difficulty setting, achievements. All I can tell you is that for all its relative simplicity, I'm having fun with it. Take the test drive to make an informed decision. I don't think it's a terribly long game, but since I haven't finished - I can't be sure. ℹHOAP Guild gives it ⚖⚖⚖ (3 scales). 3/8/2017.

The cut scenes wouldnt play, kept skipping / freezing so video wouldnt match with audio. Liked the incorporation of match 3 or more gem things when making potions. Aunties voice was a little slow and annoying and Fern was a wuss. Lol otherwise another fun game to pass the time.

Average, just average. Left no lasting impression at all. Weak story and graphics. Some mini games and all of the alchemy challenges are mediocre at best. Maybe worth 1.99 or less to me. A.M. is really slipping on game quality. Will be looking elsewhere until they decide to market better games.

Makes me sad to give an AM game only 3 stars, because usually their games are top notch! What made me give the lower rating was the lack of bonus chapter, inability to go back for missing collectable items, no alternative for traditional HO puzzles (such as match 3 or mahjong) and length of the game (was a bit short). Also, the music didn't seem to be as well written as I'm used to in AM games. The storyline was interesting, and the alchemy feature was nice and challenging. As usual the graphics were excellent. The puzzles we're fun, but most were quick and easy (not even full game screen - instead just on areas where you zoom in to inspect items). Overall, not terrible, but not great. If there was a bonus chapter I'd add a star. In this competitive genre of game, they're almost necessary. I still look forward to the next AM game.
