  • Fun but huge paywall Sep 10, 2020

You get get through the game by not spending a penny but it’ll take you a long time. Don’t get me wrong I’m loving the game a lot. For example to get to a hard difficulty you beat it on normal by controlling all the countries. The final boss fight on normal is pay to progress to the extreme. Got the boss to 12 bars of hp he used his ult and goes all the way back up to 35 hp bars. Sorry but at least try to hide the pay to progress. Yeah you can say just upgrade but the ring for upgrades are ridiculous at times. Example I upgraded an item from +9 to +12 succeeded once failed 78 times to then succeed one more time. It was only a 3 star item, I can’t imagine what it’ll be for a max star item. Millions of gold gone for nothing because of a poorly designed ring system. You may like this game you may not like it. Up to you but it is a hefty grind. I have my gripes but I still enjoy this game. Maybe I’m a masochist for this style of game who knows. If you don’t like really grindy games stay away.

Overall, I've been enjoying this game.. but there are some glaring flaws that are hard for me to ignore. Mostly, game progression is slow and unrewarding. It takes a long time to build up characters but you don't get anything new out of it or a change in game play. Pay to win feels present (mostly in PvP; which is ridiculous). I keep giving this game time hoping I'll eventually feel like what I'm putting in is actually getting me somewhere but, so far, it feels the same as when I started..

I have now played the game through once. I have to say I’m rather disappointed. This game has some the most beautiful animations, the story was actually wonderful, and the voices were done really well. However, that does not take away from the fact that this game has the worst power cap I have ever seen. There really is no way to get yourself the team that you want unless you pay $50 (essentially) for one character and the stuff to awaken them one time. But, it’s not any hero it’s the ones that they offer. You have to wait to they come in to the shop for you to get them, then lvl them, get the equipment, then try and proceed. I’m all for that grind, but THEN THEY LOCKED THE AUTO RUN TO 5 RUNS... why have the auto there at all. I do get that the hero’s are limited because the details that went into each out them but like give me 1, 5* so I’m not so pigeon holed into the lvling/gear fiasco. 15 days for a free one... so I need to wait another week to be able to progress in the section that I’m in? You want met to awaken one of the 4* that I have and not do the 5*. So many, many, many little things that just become cumbersome.

This game has a lot of good things going for it. Graphics are amazing, gameplay is easy to learn, but not so easy to master, there's enough variety in things to do to keep you going, but it falls a little short in the fact that they reskinned existing characters to give options, instead of just creating new characters. Also, the lack of continued story in hard mode is off putting. Still keeps me entertained though.

After playing this game for over a week and reading the directors goals in the App Store, they nailed it. I enjoy the personality and diversity of the characters. I appreciate just how pretty the game is. I am a fan of the exact amount of emphasis put on the arena, it’s rewarding if you smash your head against it but the rewards aren’t so OP that you feel obligated to do that. Right now I’ve been biting to get EXP potions, that’s a cool mechanic. They give you a ton of free energy throughout the day. I actually really like that I’ve not been able to beat the normal boss yet, it gives a sense that the characters I’ve come to enjoy and who rolled through the other content really are facing an insurmountable foe, and that’s fun. The event right now, Mystic Beasts, is also fun and rewarding! Thank you!

Been playing for 7 days. The goods: Runs smooth and the game looks amazing. The characters all have facial emotions and personalities which stands out. It’s not much fun at first until you get new characters via the story. The bads: Only after a few days you’re only able to play about 20min due to the amount of energy you get vs the cost of the content. You will have to pay2play. The daily dungeons reset every day(gold and exp potions). And the amount of gold you get from the story is low. You can’t progress without gold to upgrade your gears. But getting the gold to do it will take a week+ if your unlucky on power up. Again, you can pay to progress. Other thing is to clear just the normal mode you need to be farming for weeks, maybe months if your f2p. Again, lack of energy. Arena is not my liking in this game. You can’t use your best unit on Offense without taking them out of Defense. And you won’t have enough units to work with until a few weeks, or again you can pay2win. Overall, it’s a below average game in my opinion. Compared to other games out there you can get more playtime and progression without spending a lot of money. Who wants to play a game that you can’t really play?

  • Currently becoming unplayable Sep 19, 2020

I enjoy this game, and why you as I have it 2 stars then? Well it has increasingly began to be unplayable. For example I have tried to play chapter 4 mission 8 which is 4-8. Literally I make it through the first wave and crash, so I restart the game client make it to the end wave and bam app just closes. And it has become more frequent. I don’t think it is because of the iOS update to 14 either. It was doing it prior to the update. But now I can play 3 minutes and app just closes, then rinse repeat at 10 minutes this time. Then sometimes I can go for a couple hours and it not crash. But as the title suggests it is happening more frequent and becoming unplayable. Hopefully it gets hashed out, once fixed I will re-visit this review to adjust accordingly.

Nice graphics, that's all, progression is so slow and unrewarding that it's painful to play, and no, i am not interested in shelling out such amount of money per every character. Also description on most skills and items is extremely vague like " gives exp" or "ignores armour" which apparently only some percentage or "deals damage based on health" which apparently works more hp more damage instead of less hp more damage is it that hard to give us exact numbers?

The game in itself is a choir but then there's the stamina that I almost never have enough of so I either have to wait an hour or so for it to recharge or use real money. (Not happening) And then the insane amount of money you want for 1 character? Honestly I don't even think they read our reviews. It's finally time to unistall and go play AFK Arena and Genshin Impact.

Games like these are well known for pumping you with too much information right at the very start. And all that reading is not why I installed the game. This game doesn't do the usual. Yes it gives a lot of info as well, but not a huge amount of it, at least not all at once which makes you feel at ease . The story is immersive. There character creation is nice, not to mention that everything is not jammed up into just one screen which makes it easy on the eyes. This game is a stroll not a race.

  • Gatcha gear grab with a twist Sep 30, 2020

    By Bknumba1
At first I thought it was going to be another gatcha game where you grind heroes and gear and well, it is, but it has an interesting twist. There aren’t that many heroes in comparison to other games and this makes it feel more manageable. There are still a lot and each gets more unique as you ascend them. The gear gatcha is exactly what you expect: plan to pay money to get a perfect set. Lots of free “gems” up front but you know it won’t be enough. The cool part comes in the form of the theme. You’re the lord of a kingdom that’s expanding. You don’t fight, your nights do. You send out occupying forces instead of sending out heroes on quests. It’s all the same mechanics you’re used to but the twist of being the ruler makes it a little more enjoyable.

Well, I went into this game with a poor mindset: well thisll be a mediocre turn-based rpg. I was pleasantly surprised to find a well polished game, with excellent 3d "anime style" animation (which there aren't that many). The story isn't half bad and I like the idea of being a intelligent and calculative ruler (that may just be me watching Overlord, That time I was reincarnated as a slime, and Misfit of Demon Academy). If you're into any of that, try this game out, you may like it.

I really like the game so far. There are plenty of choices for customizing your main team of characters. They have post by other players who have bought the characters so you can see what ppl say before getting them, which I find helpful. The hardest stuff to get is armor but that's kinda any gatcha game and it's not really too bad. Overall, a good game with nice mechanics and would recommend.

GREAT game. Story is interesting and entertaining to actually watch. Graphics are good, characters are few, but that is changing. New tools are added periodically. Reminiscent of Romance of the three Kingdom Games. Very much recommend. Not a pay to win game at all. ONLY reason I give 4 stars is because there is always room to improve in anything and everything.

If is an amazing game I have no problems with it but I wish that there was more options with the story and also if you could be good or bad not a guaranteed good. For example you could join the evils or you could have slaves of your own. If I had more of these options then it would be funner than a regular turn based game where you want a perfect world.

I really love the graphics and the story for this game. I recently got a new phone and wanted to play on my new phone and I can't seem to get past after the tutorial. It just stuck on the main screen when the symbol just keeps spinning. I really would love to play this but I can't go further in the game. I don't know if this is a bug or not but can you relay to me with methods. Thanks for the game. I really do love it and I have given it a 4 star.

I like the game, the concept is great and the graphics are top notch. But this game has a serious pay wall when it comes to getting new characters, leveling and upgrading them. There is no way around it, you either buy the crystals to unlock SOME or you pay almost 50 dollars for others and their upgrade materials. Even doing daily dungeons and missions doesn't yield a lot in the way up leveling or upgrading materials. The contract for 5 star characters tried to combat this, but it doesn't.

Lord of hero’s is probably hands down, one of the greatest games I have ever played, you don’t see many games out there that incorporates you into the story, playing as the ruler of a small continent known as Avillon. But it’s not just you being a ruler, I’ve had my fair share of anime’s, and this game is very much like one but instead of watching it your experiencing it by playing it and helping your hero’s grow. And at the same time during the story that goes on in this game, the monarch you play as becomes more than just a ruler of a small continent, he/she seems to every be more of a brotherly or sisterly leader to their knights and not just them but the other continents as well that you ally with during the game. I like the fact that the monarch protagonist is not a control freak and is pretty loose and more on the fun carefree side but at the same time is very very smart and serious when they need to be. Over all I love this game I give it a full five stars in my opinion.

Unless it’s update coming up for it and bugs still need to be worked out but other than that i was going to give it a 5 but until I see better changes 3 is good enough

  • Game crashes a lot Sep 9, 2020

    By Reaghnf
This game has good graphics, but that is where positives end. They carried over Korean servers who are way far ahead makes it not really worth grinding for guild rewards. My guild is on level 2 raid top is 42, game has been out one day. But the big issue is it crashes TONS. I get about 10-15 mins game time per crash. Will prob just do the log in for two weeks because I already started it, hope the crashing issue is resolved. But not really seeing this as a long term game. Just will be short filler till genshin or something of that quality comes out. Game has a quick money grab feel to it.

  • Upgrade materials are scarce then game gets boring Sep 25, 2020

    By Spart1981
Going through the initial play through was fun, but then you get to a point where you have to seriously upgrade your units and gear. That’s when the games comes to a halt. Your chances to get mats are capped. After getting the lowest ranked and set amount exp potions , and RNG promotion upgrades, you’re left to either wait for reset or grind story battles in hopes of getting 1 thing at a time. I purchased the starter and booster packs to support the game and now have hundreds of thousands in energy that can’t be used to efficiently farm what I need in order to max level my units or upgrade my gear (very expensive). I find that to be insulting.

  • Too P2W - Whales only. ULTRA DISAPPOINTING Sep 10, 2020

    By mehnation
Even in the story mode you need to P2W. Resources are scarce unless you buy them with real money, this is HEAVILY INCENTIVISED. You need 300k renown just to ascend 1 character, and there are 2 levels of ascend (lord knows how much the 2nd costs). And renown is not easily gotten, you will take weeks if not months of “regular” play. It will obviously be faster for a no-lifer or P2W (instant ascension) On the surface it seems that all characters are free, that is grossly incorrect. Since launch, 2 characters so far can ONLY be gotten with money, and it’s roughly $50USD... not only that, the banner is timed/limited. The gacha is gear only, of which each char wears 6. All RNG stats, and different sets. This is the recipe for a nightmare. I like the game, but the progress design is predatory and just utterly disappointing. I was looking forward to this game, but now I will have to stop playing it since it will only be a waste of time.

  • The upgrade system is trash, no quick complete Sep 9, 2020

    By Guywithalife24/7
The story is phenomenal and so is character design and dialogue. I want the game to improve the quality of life features to avoid player burnout, otherwise is going to happen pretty quick. To expand on the title 1-Upgrade system is trash, failing when upgrading weapons is frustrating and a feature nobody wants, it creates an uneven progress wall between players. To top that, the random stats on equipment is terrible, flat vs % as main stat is something nobody wants. 2-No quick complete, if you finished a stage with 3 stars, an option to click and grind the level is a must have, the needing to keep your phone occupied while the game uses auto battle 10 times is once again something nobody wants. (To the devs)I can send screen shots or videos of how to successfully fix this problems if you want.
