  • So far so good Aug 30, 2017

    By Hellavet
I know there's a lot of negative reviews and I do agree with what some of them say such as the limitation of song choice and being forced to write a review, ha! And by the way, app isn't very much worth it if you don't purchase the whole shibang. Sorry for that spoiler. However, being a novice with little money, this is a gem. I can't afford $50 singing lessons, so I'm left to videos and apps. This has been the best app so far, I'm already improving in tone and breath. It really helps to sing to a song (I just use my library and deal with it) and listen back to the recording to hear what can be improved. Only advice is keep your mic as close to your mouth as you can while you sing so you get a good sound of yourself. Anyways, hope this helps someone and again this is good for someone who can't do the whole singing lesson a week with an instructor deal because $$$!

It's quite helpful. I am able to hit few notes from the vocal guide therein. I am tone-deaf since birth and my music life started to light up because of this. After doing such great vocal exercises and gaining more singing confidence in the near future, i will get back to give you 5 stars.

It's hard to rate this app. The one thing that's great is teaching you to sing in key with the warm-ups. That's the main reason I got this. So that's why I gave it 4 stars. Unfortunately there are many aspects I don't like... The training program is very slow the tines take longer than they should and there's a delay before you can do the next task (selecting the notes, checking the answers, etc). The songs available make no sense, there are only 5 old timey songs. It says "more coming".

  • Intermediate Exercise Error May 25, 2016

    By Ricky Karaoke
The exercise that is called VIBRANT has an error at the end. Almost a minute of silence with no way to grade you. I enjoy this app very much and I use it everyday. I started like two months ago with terrible grades. Didn't let that frustrate me and I kept doing the exercises daily. I am improving and the app keeps track of that. Great. The downfall is that you have to purchase everything but if you look it the other way, you can buy the extra exercises when your improvement tells you to add a notch.

I have been using the app for about 3 months now. it keeps daily practice gamified and satisfying, hasn't cost me a cent, and has really helped me develop my voice. Very happy with it, and will go on to purchase new vocal exercises in app, as after another month or two, I will have mastered the current exercises. I do wish I could use it to practice 3 octaves instead of two. Which tells you I really have made some progress XD.

Sure, the exercise tracking bars work and maybe you need that, but they get boring. Decided to go ahead and buy it so I could have real songs instead of the pathetic free offerings. BIG mistake. I hope you're reading these reviews first before buying it, unlike me, so you don't get ripped off. All the cool songs say Member next to them, implying you pay your $10 and get access. NOT THE CASE! You have spend another $1 per song to buy them from iTunes. That in itself is a rip off to start with. And it's not even the real version, it's a karaoke version – even more of a rip off. And then they don't give you the lyrics or the tracking bars. What's the point? I'm counting this as a lesson learned and will be deleting this app, canceling the subscription, and trying to forget I ever fell for this crap.

  • Rip off!!! I Want a refund! Dec 2, 2018

    By JayD2313
I truly am upset right now! I just paid for a membership and I can’t even sing anything without having ANY songs on iTunes in which I also have to pay for. I can only sing the songs that come with the app, when it’s free!!! I get it said SOME of the songs I didn’t know it would be All of the songs. It should really specify. I am on a limited budget right now I thought maybe this would be something cheap and fun to do. I can’t even use anything I paid for without having to pay iTunes $.99 cents for each song as well. Which may not seem like a lot but it adds up quickly! What turned into 10$ for a year$ now is 10$ +.$.99. For each song. I want a refund!

Update: so I am lowering my rating...the training program is pretty well thought through but the sing along songs are sooo limited. Just Christmas tunes, surely you can get some public domain tunes?!? Then, even if I wanted to go to iTunes to purchase a karaoke version at an overpriced rate, when I tried to do that, I couldn't because the interface was buggy. Why don't they know these things? Why don't they fix these things? Why do they take my money and run?! Old review: I am being forced to write a review in order to find out if there are any other songs. I like the app, but I just started. It seems powerful but...give me some time.

I enjoyed the free trial but the ads and locked content were overwhelming - I decided to buy a membership. Well the ads are gone - hurray! - but while there are also some more warmups and such all the songs that i thought would be unlocked are now labeled ‘buy’. Not good. And as I read on other reviews but didn’t think would apply to ‘members’ there is even more content they hide until you write lukewarm reviews like this one. I don’t mind paying for the work - but there are too many policies that are unclear (or which are buried too deep in the writeups). The experience could be a lot friendlier.

  • Integrative way to learn how to sing! Aug 21, 2016

    By Sugar_Honey _Baby
I really enjoy this app, above most vocal and karaoke apps. I like the way it has exercises to warm up your voice as well as karaoke to record your own cover songs to popular artists. The recording quality is clear and the pitch monitor is a cool fun way to make sure your singing to the song correctly. I really like the vocal range feature. It helps to know what kind of voice you really have and shows you which songs are within your ability. This also helps to expand your range and reach those high and low notes you've been struggling with on any music you've been singing along to. All in all I would say this is a very nice app that I would recommend to anyone trying to improve their singing.

  • BEST vocal training app EVER!!!! Training Program HIGHLY recommended! Feb 7, 2016

    By Cali_2014
Membership way worth the price! I'd recommend to everyone who wants to improve singing techniques. I pay $120/hour to take professional vocal lessons twice a week. Ever since I started practicing with this app in-between lessons, my teacher has commented on how much my vocal skills have significantly improved. Before I use this app, I was not able to practice without my singing teacher. With this app, I can practice on my own anytime anywhere. Amazing!

  • Works well, but VERY limited Dec 24, 2017

    By Kranjogr
Everyone obviously has a different range, and this app doesn’t do enough to accommodate that basic fact. You can adjust the range, but only between three settings, which is problematic. Each of the three range settings is almost two octaves apart so there’s a good chance a particular sone won’t work for you. The first song my kid tried was Joy to the World, and it was either too high or too low and he has a decent vocal range. The setting could be very very bass—like the guy singing the grinch song—or a reasonable alto, or very very soprano—like an English choirboy. But at his age, he can’t get up to super-soprano and can’t get a lot of the lower alto. This is especially a problem if the song itself has a wide pitch range where almost any singer would need a very fine tuned pitch. Most songs you’d want to learn have a wider range than Mary Had. little Lamb. And this is even a worse problem for the beginners this app is designed for. Some songs the pitch is fine, but if it’s not, you have a very small chance that one of the other range settings will work. And this is an entirely avoidable problem. They use midi-files which are designed to allow any pitch setting anyone would ever want. ONE MINOR ADJUSTMENT TO THE PROGRAM AND THIS WOULD WORK GREAT! Let the user adjust the tonic to whatever they want. A beginner programmer could do this in 15 minutes.

Not worth downloading unless you want to pay for premium. An ad plays after every sample song and exercise.

Hello, I had a free account, then today I upgraded to premium because there were a lot of songs that I wanted to sing that was only available. The price upgrade to premium was 999. After I paid I selected a song wanted to saying then a message came up for me to go to the iTunes Store to purchase this song for 99 cents. So basically when you upgrade to premium, you don’t get any additional free songs. Your paying for premium to purchase the additional songs for $.99 each. So when actuality he spent $10 to be able to spend more money.

This isn’t so much a learn to sing app as an improve your voice app. If that is your goal go for it but you’d better already have a good connection between your ear and your voice. I have an okay ear from practice but my voice doesn’t sound to me like it does to anyone else. I also have a max of about c4 most of the warmups can’t be set to low enough that I can actually perform them unless I go full falsetto. I really wish I hadn’t paid for this.

When I went to go sing one of my songs in my library, I realized I was really flat throughout the entire song. This got me down a little bit so I went to my keyboard to try and see if I could correct it. Turns out it's the software that's measuring everything a bit flat. When I played a C on my keyboard it registered it as a C#, when I played a B it came up as C. I then went to the warm ups and did the note progression and found out they were playing on a B scale not a C scale. Smh

I'm not sure how I feel about the app yet, but when I click on the "more songs" link I am forced to leave a review before seeing more songs. That in itself caused me to give a low rating. If your product is so great you should be confident that users will leave a great review. Also, the free songs are kind of a joke. Granted, I don't know all the ins and outs of having the rights to songs but lets be honest...there is virtually NO good selection without buying songs from iTunes.

  • App of idiocy Jul 11, 2018

    By ghxdjbv
It took my ten dollars for a one year subscription. I thought it would unlock all of the songs, but then it still made me pay for every individual stinking song. It doesn’t deserve any good or remotely good reviews. The app is getting deleted and I’m canceling the subscription. It seems like other people have gone through the same situation. So this is a warning so nobody else gets completely ripped off. This is a free app at the App Store but you end paying a lot over ten dollars in the end. This might give the makers of this game some idea of how idiotic there scam is, and that they should change it. I hope people read this to know how awful it is!! If you want to pay over ten dollars for a singing app then this would be fine for you. If your like me and you don’t want to pay ten dollars for a one year subscription and pay for every individual song (each song costs from $1 to $2.50ish) then please trust me don’t get the app. If you want multiple songs it will become spendy.

  • Too many ads Mar 12, 2018

    By tedlowery
I’m not sure how this app is getting so many high ratings. There are way too many ads, after about every 30 seconds practice you have to watch another ad. And this app is not game at five at all. It doesn’t really track your progress, it gives you a score after each practice session, but there’s no overall tracking or goalsetting or performance improvement. Also,The words at the bottom of the screen, are way too small. And, the Mic seems to pick up a lot of ambient noise, so you can’t even perform a range test, as it picks up a lot of noise and give you this incredibly wide dynamic range that you don’t have.
