    This would be a cool app if it would actually work. When it does work, it’s awesome, I’m able to make larger purchases and either pay every two weeks or spread the payments out over 6 months. Here’s the issue, the app will work seamlessly then out of nowhere it won’t. I will attempt to make a purchase and initially I’m told I’m approved, I agree to the terms and go to the next step where my ghost card should be created but then it isn’t. I get this weird message telling me that my identity cannot be verified, so I answer the security questions, receive confirmation that my identity has been verified just for the system to do it again and ultimately deny my purchase. This only happens with the 6 monthly payment option. Then for some reason, a lot of merchants have stopped accepting Klarna ghost cards. Two merchants in a row declined my purchase because I was attempting to make the purchase via Klarna, super weird. I would love for their app and system to be updated to prevent these types of scenarios from happening going forward. I understand that they cannot intervene and make companies accept their payment, but the issues with ghost card inconsistently working is ridiculous. I have Afterpay and have never had any issues. They let you know up front how much you’re eligible to spend and you’re easily able to make purchases as long as you stay within your limit.

    I've used this app a few times now and it's been a lifesaver. I'm able to make my first payment and 3 more payments every two weeks like it says. There are no hidden fees to pay or and extra charges that come up..it splits your bill into 4 equal payments and once the last one is paid, you're done..definatly recommend for your future shopping needs .

    I have been purchasing from Klarna since July. I have purchased well over $1k worth of items. Perfect payment history never been late. Now here in the past week or so I can never get approved for a ghost card. It tells me to pay off other items. So I did that and still to not avail it’s kept declining me for a ghost card. I’ve changed cards and purchase amounts and still I cannot get approved for a ghost card. RIDICULOUS!! Is this how you treat loyal and good paying customers!? I’m not even going to bother with customer service because I don’t want to get the run around. Klarna you guys have to do better than just saying to people “keep trying” that’s terrible customer service. If a customer has established a good payment history with you guys-WHICH I HAVE. Then approving me for a ghost card should be no problem at all. Now I understand having tighter restrictions on newer customer but majority of these complaints on here come from well established customers that have paid you guys ALOT of money. I used to rave about Klarna but sadly that now is going to have to change. When Klarna works it’s great but when it doesn’t it’s terrible. I guess I’ll just have to stick to Afterpay.

    Love this app. It makes buying clothes shoes everything makeup so much easier+ for me I don't always have 400 to spend so break it up in spilt payment are so much easier! I use this app all the time and obsessed with it but I wish they add more store I think all stores should let us use this!

    I was in love with this app before holiday season hit and was able to stock up on some presents before December! However, when I tried to buy some more gifts around holiday season I was no longer approved for ghost cards. I thought it was perhaps due to the amount of people also trying to order around holiday season so I waited and even now I am no longer approved for ghost cards and I’m so disappointed because I loved this app. I understand it’s all an automated system that either approves you or doesn’t I just don’t know what I did wrong because my card will have more than enough money, I have tried different amounts of money for ghost card approval, and have paid all of my pervious purchases off which is hundreds of dollars by the way. Now I’m back to using Afterpay which I highly recommend to anyone looking for a similar app. Only downfall is it doesn’t have as many options as Klarna does. If this app ever does change its ghost card approval processing I’d be more than happy to come back and spend my money with this app but for now this system isn’t working for me and many other and for that reason I will no longer be using it.

    I ❤ Klarna! Only give 4 stars b/c the app is still fairly glitchy. But, besides that, Klarna is easy & so much better than credit cards b/c there's NO INTEREST OR FEES. But, the more you use Klarna & successfully complete your 4 payments, the better your "credit" becomes & the bigger your purchases can be. With Klarna, you can do all your Christmas shopping on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, like you've always wanted & have your 4 payments totally paid off by January. What's better than that?

    People who have issues with this must not have much brain power. This is so easy and convenient. I've also gotten back at least $20 in Amazon credit for making purchases I would normally make. Highly recommend using Klarna.

    I’m not one to go out of my way to write reviews, but I just have to express how amazing Klarna is. There is no company so dedicated to their customers and consumers as this one is, I’ve never seen anything like it in all my life. Their customer service is unreal, they are always on top of exchanges, returns, purchases, everything. Their social media is always on point-they are always replying to people, getting back to people with questions fast, being fun and funny, etc. The company itself is amazing, I have more than 15 purchases with them right now and have never had a problem with one. I will swear by this app/website for forever. Also want to recognize that they do Drag Brunches with incredible and popular drag queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race. They are so cute and entertaining, especially during this time. And if I’m correct, I believe they are fundraising events as well, for people who are affected by the virus. Just wanted to put my two cents in to demonstrate just how amazing Klarna is, and how I don’t see why anyone would use any service aside from theirs. So loyal to their customers, even newer customers! Love 💗💗💗

    I absolutely love this app and I'm amazed on how many of my every day stores there are you can choose from. It's even more wonderful when there something you've been saving up for and it goes on sale before you have the money, you can just use Klarna to split the payment amount so you can buy it before the awesome sale is over and you don't even need credit to do! Genius idea and shows how much faith in their customers 🙏 🙏🙏 And come Christmas it's going to help so many people! God Bless!

    5* Interface could use and update to make this app amazing. The app can be buggy but at the end of the day this app is perfect if u want to purchase something but not actually sure you want to spend the money. bought the new S series and did 4 mo installments at the actual cost on GameStop's website. Now purchasing the Elite 2 series controller and Klarna offered me a installment option to pay off in 6 mo's + actual price. great app

There is no company so dedicated to their customers and consumers as this one is, I’ve never seen anything like it in all my life. Their customer service is unreal, they are always on top of exchanges, returns, purchases, everything.     Just sits on the pink Klarna screen of Death. Got to the text verification sent once, it glitched, and sat "loading" forever. Cleared cache, tried again, just the pink screen, Uninstalled, reinstalled - twice! Pink screen of Death, will not load. Super frustrating. Waste of time that I'll never get back...☹ **Reply: If you actually READ my review, it clearly states "Cleared cache", and yes, I've also rebooted my phone as well. Still nothing. I'll stick with Affirm - their BN-PL is unbeatable!

    This app is so annoying. I can't pay certain item away, customer service gives false information, when you pay it takes really long to see the payment in the app. There is many other annoying things. This big company should be able to produce better app but they probably make extra millions because of extra payments/interest people need to pay because of the app doesn't register payments on time. I will stop using klarna when I have finished my payments which is soon. I recommend you to do same.

    Was excited to use this app, but was very disappointed after downloading & using it. There are only a handful of stores that you can shop at, Everytime I saved anything to my wishlist or added it to my cart, it would disappear after closing the app then reopening. Once I finally added an item back to my cart and went to check out, I added my card information, then was told I was not eligible but wasn’t given a reason why. I chatted with an online agent & was told I would be denied for a handful of reasons (no prepaid cards allowed, card must not expire within the next 8 weeks, & billing address must match my bank account & what I entered into the app), none of which applied to me. My card is not prepaid, I have enough money in my account, billing address matches & my card doesn’t expire until 2023. I chatted with another agent saying I do not have enough payment history with Klarna to be given the option to use the app, which is crap because how am I supposed to BUILD payment history within the app, if I’m not allowed to purchase anything?!?! Neither of the “ agents”were helpful and just kept sending automated responses. I downloaded a different app that offers the same services, called AfterPay. Hundreds of stores to choose from to shop with & within 5 minutes of downloading the app, I was able to make the purchase of what I was trying to buy from Klarna. Would NOT recommend this terrible app!!!!!

    Honestly I’m very disappointed in this app. My cousin was the one that told me about and I was really excited about it. I finally get paid from work and I want to buy some things for myself. When I start wanting to make a ghost card, it says “I’m not approved. (Whatever that means).” My cousin and my sister had no problem making purchases but for some reason I went through so much trouble just trying to make my first purchase. I contacted someone through Facebook messenger and they told me that I had to have a debit/credit card, a real bank, and it couldn’t expire in like a couple days. I had a debit card from Santander and it expired in 2020, so this didn’t correspond. So the guy told me wait a couple days because the app can be iffy. So I waited four days. Then I contact customer service again, and a woman named Jessica answers, asks me what bank I use, I tell her Santander and then she completely leaves me on read and leaves the conversation. Then a man named Kristofer answer and he tells me the same exact thing the guy in Facebook tells me and I tell him that everything is good and the only answer I got was that they didn’t know why it wasn’t working and that I need to make smaller purchases. When my cousin and sister made the exact same purchase with no problem but for some reason I can’t do it. It’s like the choose who they give it to and who they don’t.. this is the worst app I’ve ever downloaded..so disappointed.

    Do not use Klarna. I purchased concert tickets through them and the concert has since been cancelled. Refund was done 5 days ago and I randomly got 2 much smaller amounts instead of the full refund so I reached out. First agent told me that it would go towards my Klarna balance and I’d have to request a refund. I said there’s nowhere in my account a balance shows how do I request a refund? They didn’t give me an answer said they were sending it to a specialist time and I’d hear back in 1-2 days. I still haven’t heard from them. So I reached out again yesterday and got a response that they had long hold times but someone would be with me soon. That was fine I just left the chat up and kept working but no one ever came. The chat is still waiting for a response 24 hours later but I contacted again not through my purchase and finally got a response. Now all of a sudden the rest of the refund is processing and I’ll have it in 5-7 business days. Why didn’t they just send the refund all at once? It didn’t take 5-7 business days for the random smaller amounts so why didn’t they just process the full refund? Also more than 24 hours with no response from customer service is unacceptable. I can understand being busy but 24 hours is ridiculous. I wouldn’t recommend using Klarna. Plenty of other options to split up payments which would be much better. 👎🏻

    Somehow they removed my review, so AGAIN let me once again say, RIP OFF! & you're better off with afterpay. This app makes you enter annoying txt pins literally all the time. It's misleading! They say 4 paymrnts but made me pay for over half my purchase upfront, not 1/4 at a time. They wouldn't give me info on my future payments, until the store approved my purchase. As soon as I pay this first order off I'm deleting this app. Everything in this review is true by the way and I will dispute it.

    Worked perfect for my first transaction. Only used $60 credit with a little over $300 still available. Paid it off in full early and now trying to make a new purchase but its glitching every time I try to set up the digital card telling me I need to utilize the 6 month financing and then rejecting the financing and back and forth. Nearly 2 hours on this yesterday trying to complete the order.. Going in circles here.... please help

    When I first downloaded this app I was very skeptical, but once I bought my first ordered everything thing was perfect and easy . The payments were easy and they had every store you can think of. I loved this app so much because it helped get a lot of gifts for every holiday that past without spending so much money at one time. I spoke highly on this app that I recommended it to about 12 ppl , a few of them were able to pay about 3 good purchases on different occasions and some only ordered things once. And they also spoke highly of them. But then one of them tried to start a new purchase and was told they didn’t get approved for the ghost card. I’m thinking to myself how can you not get approved for a card your funding with your own money 🤔🤨. She even deleted the app and reinstalled it and no luck . And she had been using the same BANK card since started dealing with them. Customer service was no help at all. And lately the last few ppl I had recommended to Klarna have not been getting approved for the ghost card. My problem comes in when I recently tried to make a purchase yesterday for my birthday and Valentine’s Day orders and it said it doesn’t support my card. 🧐 I’m baffled due to the fact I have used this card on several occasions with this app from last year up into my last payment last week. I’m HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS APP 😭😭😭😭

    Idk what has changed lately but both my wife and I haven't been able to get the app to open. When we open the app on either of our phones (S21 Ultra 5Gs) it goes to the pink screen that says "Klarna" then it goes to a plain pink screen with the little loading circle thing in the center and stays on that screen indefinitely. I love using klarna when it works right and i don't not have this issue. Please fix.

    I hate that this app doesn’t support pre-paid cards, cards that are through your work, certain banks, or simply denies your card for unknown reasons. My husband banks with Wells Fargo, Klarna does accept Wells Fargo but wouldn’t accept my husband’s card. We have more than enough money on the card but wanted to try Klarna out to separate the money because we do have a large family and bills and I just like to have extra money for emergencies. Was using Klarna to buy work clothes and instead of paying $130 bucks at once, I wanted to separate it into four payments, obviously. My husband gets direct deposit weekly and has money in his account, as I mentioned, but Klarna wouldn’t accept his card. My sister banks with Chase, which Klarna accepts. My sister used her card once with Klarna and it worked. All her payments were deducted and she never used Klarna again. Then when she tried to use the SAME card a second time in the future, they wouldn’t take her card. I tried using my bank, US Bank, Klarna denied me. Then I used my Chime card and Klarna says they are working to accept Chime’s bank but don’t just yet. I tried using my American Express card, Klarna denied that as well. It’s SUPER annoying but whatever. Paying full price at one time is better than the hassle this app causes. Obviously this app works great for some people but I am not one of them.

    This app is very useful and surprisingly easy to use. And to add, Klarna is also very fair in their decision to approve purchases. You apply for a credit line based on the total cost of the item/service you buy. It's not like the other apps that pre-approve you for a preset credit limit. Once approved, Klarna then creates a virtual one-time use card that you can use to make your purchase. You can then use that card to pay in installments. I choose to pay in 4 bi-weekly installments! It's great!

    I ❤ Klarna! Only give 4 stars b/c the app is still fairly glitchy. But, besides that, Klarna is easy & so much better than credit cards b/c there's NO INTEREST OR FEES. But, the more you use Klarna & successfully complete your 4 payments, the better your "credit" becomes & the bigger your purchases can be. With Klarna, you can do all your Christmas shopping on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, like you've always wanted & have your 4 payments totally paid off by January. What's better than that?

    Update: I will update my original review stars but won’t delete my review as a reminder that it may also happen to others. As of now I’m able to shop again and create ghost cards, however, I am always apprehensive to update the app. I can’t give the app 1 star because I did have a good experience up until my first purchase was paid in full. This app was very easy to use and I was able to make multiple purchases both with the ghost card and with the stores that used Klarna as a payment method during checkout. I agree with others who say you never really know what to expect as your limit does seem to change on a daily basis. I tried to create a ghost card the same day that my first purchase was completely paid off and boom, denied and asked to try with another card. No thanks. I’m not sure if paying off triggered their automated system or it it was the update to the app but I have not been able to make a purchase since then. Moral of the story is it is great when it works but don’t become reliant on the app because you never know when you will no longer be able to get approved.

    I have made On time payments for two straight years, never missed one! I had automatic payments at up for the 26th of every month. Well since my balance was down to $122 I decided to pay it off this month. I went in to set up the payment for the 26th and they took it out immediately today which caused me to to overdraw my account and refused to postpone or cancel the payment. Mind you, I contacted them less than 5 minutes after I made the payment. Then I tried chatting and was literally hung up on by 7 different agents. The last one told me he’d pass me onto a specialist which can take up to 48hrs! All this after I contacted customer service by phone and was ASSURED that they would cancel the payment and I could just pay it on the due date, he also assured me that I would receive an email confirmation and it would also reflect in my app, well, neither of those things have happened ! I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN! Keep in mind I have spent over $10,000 with their service! Fleur R.

FIRSTLY all the email links are annoying, and the customer service reps aren’t knowledgeable of how Klarna works they always give the same response, I tell them the app is glitching it won’t allow me to make a ghost card ,they say “ wait 24 hour” 24 hours pass nothing the same problem I get the error of can’t create a ghost card they say” it needs to be connected to a bank and have enough to cover the initial payment+ nah really 🤨😑 I have enough it’s connected to a bank, they have no idea what to do I retry randomly it works then doesn’t (gotta have those 🤞🏽)... the concept is great but it’s currently all over the place, also at the time I may not have the money but if I get extra money why is there not an option to make a payment...try to look at each person separate and handle the problem not give these automated responses (if they answer this review as a automated responses im just done🤣)

    I have a love hate relationship with this app. I love the idea of it and when it actually works it’s amazing. However there seems to be a lot of issues popping up here and there. The customer service is by far the worst I’ve ever seen. For every issue they suggest that you delete and reinstall the app. Which never works. And they completely blow off what you’re trying to tell them as if they don’t speak or know proper English, I have no idea what that was about but I was very unsatisfied. Sometimes when applying for a ghost card it’ll say I’m not approved or that they’ve “hit a snag”. They’re never able to tell you why either. Then it’ll randomly start working again days or weeks later. If those small issues were fixed and they got better customer services representatives this app would be worth well over five stars. It’s helped me out greatly. Overall I would recommend if you have the patience for when the app bugs out!

    Sometimes you need to buy things right away and may not want to charge it or have the full amount that you can spare. With Klarna you can pay in four payments every two weeks. You can buy something on payday and if it costs $100 you can pay $25 in four payments that comes out automatically every two weeks! It’s also a great way to shop online because it create a credit card that isn’t your personal info so there’s no chance of someone stealing your credit card info. My only issue that has happened only once was a return that was processed after three months. The shop tried to return the money to my Klarna card and it was denied. I’m still trying to get my money back as I sent the item back to the retailer. So if Klarna is looking over these reviews I could use some help on this. But will that being said that is the one and only time I’ve had an issue.

    I absolutely love this app. I’m constantly recommending it to my friends and family. The only issue I have with it is that for some reason it won’t let me create a ghost card with my chime visa. I can switch over to it to pay off cards, but I can’t use it to crest one. It’s really frustrating because that’s my main bank since I get my check early with it. So I have to transfer money to my other bank through Apple Cash (which involves a fee) in order to create a card on the spot. (For reference I usually only keep rent money in my other bank account so I don’t have spending money in there). It would be nice to find out why I cant use my chime visa as I’ve never really been given an explanation (it just tells me that it won’t accept the card). Also if you’re using a vpn TURN IT OFF BEFORE TRYING TO GET A GHOST CARD! It took me like five rejections before I realized klarna thought I was in Germany 😂

    This would be a cool app if it would actually work. When it does work, it’s awesome, I’m able to make larger purchases and either pay every two weeks or spread the payments out over 6 months. Here’s the issue, the app will work seamlessly then out of nowhere it won’t. I will attempt to make a purchase and initially I’m told I’m approved, I agree to the terms and go to the next step where my ghost card should be created but then it isn’t. I get this weird message telling me that my identity cannot be verified, so I answer the security questions, receive confirmation that my identity has been verified just for the system to do it again and ultimately deny my purchase. This only happens with the 6 monthly payment option. Then for some reason, a lot of merchants have stopped accepting Klarna ghost cards. Two merchants in a row declined my purchase because I was attempting to make the purchase via Klarna, super weird. I would love for their app and system to be updated to prevent these types of scenarios from happening going forward. I understand that they cannot intervene and make companies accept their payment, but the issues with ghost card inconsistently working is ridiculous. I have Afterpay and have never had any issues. They let you know up front how much you’re eligible to spend and you’re easily able to make purchases as long as you stay within your limit.

    I paid off my no interest account 9 months early just so I could avoid having to deal with the idiosyncrasies of this service. By trying to be so “simple” and “modern” I find at least for me they miss some expected capabilities. The “notification of payment due” worked once and never again. Their support told me either my phone or app notifications we’re turned off (they were not) or that loading a new release of software could turn them off. Really? Either way I missed a payment; they were nice enough to remove the late fee. Which leads to another deficiency. No way to pre-schedule payments other than “the minimum payment on the due date”. If you want to schedule a larger payment and possibly a few days earlier, you can’t. And I had to reset the “fingerprint login” multiple times for whatever reason. It would also be nice if there was an auto connect to Quicken but that’s not always common with these type of services. And just (intuitively) finding things in the app is not that easy; and I’ve (easily) navigated many apps / websites for similar services. This one ranks as one of the less intuitive.

    I’ve been with this company for years, over 5k approved, I pay more than my payments 99 percent. I have NEVER BEEN LATE or any reason to. If there clearly is a long history as I’ve been taught, my bills are all paid on time, it just looks maxed out because I have two cars , which I carried my husband and mine on my credit and a loan I never miss, yet laughable high risk, I though expect and am working on this, however Klarma you would think, this card is for those like us, they are making a killing from us, but the established customers should be treated better than those who get the ghost cards, run with their money, while you guys trust a client your clueless about Just my two sense. Btw I’ve just bought a truck, lol and your thinking needs to be looked back over if the client has a great history, take in consideration their credit report if they pay their bills on time? If the person pays on time, and also does with you, should that not stand on its own two legs. I have several who have approved me for the same card, yet I’ve been faithful and responsible!

    I’ve had this app since July, and it has been a godsend for grocery shopping, gifts, and the occasional splurge on myself. 4 easy payments and it automatically takes the money out. However there went a time where it declined everything I would try to do, almost two months! I contacted support and got the same answer. The system is automated and makes a decision each time and different things can cause it to go through or not go through. It really scared me because the main use I wanted it for was my daughter’s bday. Luckily it started working almost a week before her bday. I tried again today for Christmas shopping and I’m getting declined again. Like I said the app is amazing, however it’s not guaranteed. I don’t like being stressed wondering if I’m going to be approved or not for crucial purchases. I hope in the further the system they use to make the decision gets better because even loyal customers are getting screwed over by the decision making process.

    I don’t think that this app is awful, it’s not bad, you can see all of your payment dates, orders, etc, everything looks organized. However, when it comes to a partial refund on big orders, it started to stress me out. Besides waiting for the actual store to receive the returned stuff, Klarna takes even longer to process your refund. I got the notification about receiving my return on Jan 29th, but I still haven’t received my refund and that makes me extremely nervous. What I don’t like is that when you look at your returned order in the app, it’s not labeled as “processing refund” or anything like that, but just “the amount for this purchase has changed”, I can’t see the amount of refund, and when will I get it. My small suggestion, try to not use this system on too many orders but at least keep it in 2-3 max, because if you return a lot of things, it will be hard to track and you will lose your mind while waiting for the refund.

    Worked perfect for my first transaction. Only used $60 credit with a little over $300 still available. Paid it off in full early and now trying to make a new purchase but its glitching every time I try to set up the digital card telling me I need to utilize the 6 month financing and then rejecting the financing and back and forth. Nearly 2 hours on this yesterday trying to complete the order.. Going in circles here.... please help

    Idk what has changed lately but both my wife and I haven't been able to get the app to open. When we open the app on either of our phones (S21 Ultra 5Gs) it goes to the pink screen that says "Klarna" then it goes to a plain pink screen with the little loading circle thing in the center and stays on that screen indefinitely. I love using klarna when it works right and i don't not have this issue. Please fix.

    It worked the first time I used it(Aug 2019). Got the ghost card, made a purchase, and made my payments on time. I tried it a second time(Oct2019). Got the ghost card, clicked the purchase button and was told afterwards that klarna didn’t approve purchases with the retailer (a gaming company). Ok, that’s fine. Check my bank account and I was still charged the initial payment. I spoke to a rep and they told me the money would return within 7 business days and it did. Great. I figured I’d try one more time (Dec2019). Got the ghost card, hit purchase, got an error message saying try again later. Checked my bank account and once again got charged the initial payment with no purchase. Guess I’m waiting on my refund at this point. My main suggestion would be to update your in app browser to block any major sites that you don’t allow purchases from, that way we don’t waste time shopping for nothing. That or have the app check the site first before generating the ghost card and decline if it’s a retailer we can’t purchase from. I feel like this would save some headaches from initial payments being taken but no purchases made. I liked it the first time I used it but since it has a low success rate for me I don’t think I’ll be using it again.

    This app was great up until 3 or 4 days ago. There is a lock on my spending balance even though i have good repayment history, none of my payments are late or ever have been and ive made payments early way before their actual due date & have paid several of my purchases on FULL way b4 a payment was in due. I have been chatting with customer service for 3days but have gotten nowhere. On top of that, the app is very slow ans kicks me out or takes 4ever to load despit multiple updates & reinstalls.

    So the concept of Klarna is amazing, however, their customer service and policies are trash. I had used Klarna a number of times in the past until I tried to make a purchase and was denied. When I contacted customer service I was put on hold for over an hour, to then be told that I had to wait 30-45 days for an email response to find out why my transaction has not gone through. Prior to this experience I had always made my payments on time and never had any issues. When I finally received the email 30 days later, the email did not provide any detail whatsoever as to why my account has been put on hold. I called customer service again to follow up and see if I could get more info and the rep had no clue why this was happening or how to resolve. When I asked to escalate the case to a manager she said she was unable to transfer me to someone because Klarna didn’t do that. I’m actually pretty annoyed that there is no way to resolve an issue that seems to happen to a number of people using the app. Figure out your policy and procedure protocol, figure out a way to troubleshoot issues properly and provide details to customers looking for answers. It feels a bit “Scammy” to be honest.

    When I tried Klarna the first time I learned there are ALOT of links to working this properly and it was a turn off. I felt that the company should relay certain information to first time buyers that was not relayed. I had my entire purchase cancelled except for a couple items which were ALL returned and was still charged $1.99 which was never refunded since the item was never received. The next time attempted an order I tested my theory that if I needed to make any changes NOT to allow the order to process AS IS—THEN make changes if necessary. And it WORKED! I am disappointed because Klarna does not operate as easily as Afterpay. Klarna has better shopping options but only allows you to pay off “IN FULL” where as Afterpay lists the payments and their due dates and allows you to pay the upcoming bi-weekly payment “NOW” which works for me because the payments do not land on my payday and I like to pay everything I owe off all at once so I know what’s left in my bank account can divide to savings and pocket money. We all live paycheck to paycheck which is why Klarna is such a wonderful app; however I think it should take a few hints from its competition Afterpay whom I might use nat was going forward.

    Where do I begin? I used this about 5/6 times since Nov’19 with no problems, it was awesome to buy items for my twins (2 of everything) without having to charge it. Then for some reason it doesn’t approve me for another transaction, even with my “payed off” record with them was perfect. I was baffled so I contacted customer service they basically told me there was nothing they can do, it’s up to the system to approve us??? Ok...so the more I use it and become an actual repeat customer without any change in my account, and established “credit/history” with them, they decide your no longer a valued customer? Just new ones that they have no idea if they’ll pay??? Weird. What a crappy way to do your app. Then they email me that my credit impacted it, which doesn’t make sense because I have a almost 800 credit score across all three bureau's ( but yet they didn't check it!). This app was fantastic, I bet they lost $ with people who didn’t pay and now those of us who actually didn’t abuse it and appreciated it can’t use it. I’m sad but I’m going to uninstall.

    So originally I absolutely loved Klarna. It’s efficient and really helpful when you’re on a budget but need something now. But after returning an item and the store issuing a refund on August 6, Klarna started to claim they never received my money when I have clear screenshots that they did. Every representative I spoke to told me to wait two days and that they’d create a ticket for my issue for a specialist to take a look and every couple days when my money wasn’t refunded I’d check back in and be told the same thing. Finally, on August 26th someone tells me they’ll forward my issue to a specialist who should get back to me in 1-2 business days and this is already a week after I should’ve received my refund which should have been issued 10 days after the store refunded the money. So now we’re at 17 business days. Someone finally gets back to me today, August 29th, to tell me that they’re very sorry and I should receive my refund in A COUPLE MORE WEEKS, because they’re back logged on refunds. I loved Klarna, but if I’m going to have an issue with getting my money back for whatever reason it’s honestly not worth it.

    Klarna is the best thing ever... UNTIL IT ISN’T! I stumbled upon a Klarna ad and thought it was too good to be true. I made my 1st purchase and had no issues. 10 purchases later, I was as happy as could be. Then one day I try to purchase some shoes. (Which I’ve done before) and this error comes up saying “You are not approved for a ghost card at this time.” Some small facts are I have NEVER missed a payment and ALL my debts were paid off to Klarna. Needless to say, I was an exceptional customer. I reached out to customer service because this had to be an error right? Customer Service was a complete waste of my time. They said, “Oh yes, we see you have a perfect payment history and we thank you but our decision system is automated and we cannot override its decision.” One rep said, “Delete the app, then reinstall.” Another rep said, “Try something cheaper because you probably have a spending limit.” All responses were generic and just a complete waste of my time. I’m DONE with Klarna. Thanks for the good run because you have been utterly USELESS as of late! So much for rewarding customer loyalty right?!

Cleared cache, tried again, just the pink screen, Uninstalled, reinstalled - twice! Pink screen of Death, will not load. Super frustrating. Waste of time that I'll never get back...☹ **Reply: If you actually READ my review, it clearly states "Cleared cache", and yes, I've also rebooted my phone as well. Still nothing. I'll stick with Affirm - their BN-PL is unbeatable!

I can't pay certain item away, customer service gives false information, when you pay it takes really long to see the payment in the app. There is many other annoying things. This big company should be able to produce better app but they probably make extra millions because of extra payments/interest people need to pay because of the app doesn't register payments on time. I will stop using klarna when I have finished my payments which is soon. I recommend you to do same.

    Was excited to use this app, but was very disappointed after downloading & using it. There are only a handful of stores that you can shop at, Everytime I saved anything to my wishlist or added it to my cart, it would disappear after closing the app then reopening. Once I finally added an item back to my cart and went to check out, I added my card information, then was told I was not eligible but wasn’t given a reason why. I chatted with an online agent & was told I would be denied for a handful of reasons (no prepaid cards allowed, card must not expire within the next 8 weeks, & billing address must match my bank account & what I entered into the app), none of which applied to me. My card is not prepaid, I have enough money in my account, billing address matches & my card doesn’t expire until 2023. I chatted with another agent saying I do not have enough payment history with Klarna to be given the option to use the app, which is crap because how am I supposed to BUILD payment history within the app, if I’m not allowed to purchase anything?!?! Neither of the “ agents”were helpful and just kept sending automated responses. I downloaded a different app that offers the same services, called AfterPay. Hundreds of stores to choose from to shop with & within 5 minutes of downloading the app, I was able to make the purchase of what I was trying to buy from Klarna. Would NOT recommend this terrible app!!!!!

    Honestly I’m very disappointed in this app. My cousin was the one that told me about and I was really excited about it. I finally get paid from work and I want to buy some things for myself. When I start wanting to make a ghost card, it says “I’m not approved. (Whatever that means).” My cousin and my sister had no problem making purchases but for some reason I went through so much trouble just trying to make my first purchase. I contacted someone through Facebook messenger and they told me that I had to have a debit/credit card, a real bank, and it couldn’t expire in like a couple days. I had a debit card from Santander and it expired in 2020, so this didn’t correspond. So the guy told me wait a couple days because the app can be iffy. So I waited four days. Then I contact customer service again, and a woman named Jessica answers, asks me what bank I use, I tell her Santander and then she completely leaves me on read and leaves the conversation. Then a man named Kristofer answer and he tells me the same exact thing the guy in Facebook tells me and I tell him that everything is good and the only answer I got was that they didn’t know why it wasn’t working and that I need to make smaller purchases. When my cousin and sister made the exact same purchase with no problem but for some reason I can’t do it. It’s like the choose who they give it to and who they don’t.. this is the worst app I’ve ever downloaded..so disappointed.

    Do not use Klarna. I purchased concert tickets through them and the concert has since been cancelled. Refund was done 5 days ago and I randomly got 2 much smaller amounts instead of the full refund so I reached out. First agent told me that it would go towards my Klarna balance and I’d have to request a refund. I said there’s nowhere in my account a balance shows how do I request a refund? They didn’t give me an answer said they were sending it to a specialist time and I’d hear back in 1-2 days. I still haven’t heard from them. So I reached out again yesterday and got a response that they had long hold times but someone would be with me soon. That was fine I just left the chat up and kept working but no one ever came. The chat is still waiting for a response 24 hours later but I contacted again not through my purchase and finally got a response. Now all of a sudden the rest of the refund is processing and I’ll have it in 5-7 business days. Why didn’t they just send the refund all at once? It didn’t take 5-7 business days for the random smaller amounts so why didn’t they just process the full refund? Also more than 24 hours with no response from customer service is unacceptable. I can understand being busy but 24 hours is ridiculous. I wouldn’t recommend using Klarna. Plenty of other options to split up payments which would be much better. 👎🏻

    Somehow they removed my review, so AGAIN let me once again say, RIP OFF! & you're better off with afterpay. This app makes you enter annoying txt pins literally all the time. It's misleading! They say 4 paymrnts but made me pay for over half my purchase upfront, not 1/4 at a time. They wouldn't give me info on my future payments, until the store approved my purchase. As soon as I pay this first order off I'm deleting this app. Everything in this review is true by the way and I will dispute it.

    When I first downloaded this app I was very skeptical, but once I bought my first ordered everything thing was perfect and easy . The payments were easy and they had every store you can think of. I loved this app so much because it helped get a lot of gifts for every holiday that past without spending so much money at one time. I spoke highly on this app that I recommended it to about 12 ppl , a few of them were able to pay about 3 good purchases on different occasions and some only ordered things once. And they also spoke highly of them. But then one of them tried to start a new purchase and was told they didn’t get approved for the ghost card. I’m thinking to myself how can you not get approved for a card your funding with your own money 🤔🤨. She even deleted the app and reinstalled it and no luck . And she had been using the same BANK card since started dealing with them. Customer service was no help at all. And lately the last few ppl I had recommended to Klarna have not been getting approved for the ghost card. My problem comes in when I recently tried to make a purchase yesterday for my birthday and Valentine’s Day orders and it said it doesn’t support my card. 🧐 I’m baffled due to the fact I have used this card on several occasions with this app from last year up into my last payment last week. I’m HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS APP 😭😭😭😭

    I hate that this app doesn’t support pre-paid cards, cards that are through your work, certain banks, or simply denies your card for unknown reasons. My husband banks with Wells Fargo, Klarna does accept Wells Fargo but wouldn’t accept my husband’s card. We have more than enough money on the card but wanted to try Klarna out to separate the money because we do have a large family and bills and I just like to have extra money for emergencies. Was using Klarna to buy work clothes and instead of paying $130 bucks at once, I wanted to separate it into four payments, obviously. My husband gets direct deposit weekly and has money in his account, as I mentioned, but Klarna wouldn’t accept his card. My sister banks with Chase, which Klarna accepts. My sister used her card once with Klarna and it worked. All her payments were deducted and she never used Klarna again. Then when she tried to use the SAME card a second time in the future, they wouldn’t take her card. I tried using my bank, US Bank, Klarna denied me. Then I used my Chime card and Klarna says they are working to accept Chime’s bank but don’t just yet. I tried using my American Express card, Klarna denied that as well. It’s SUPER annoying but whatever. Paying full price at one time is better than the hassle this app causes. Obviously this app works great for some people but I am not one of them.

    I paid off my Klarna balance 2 weeks ago. I have a 0 dollar balance on the app and customer service confirmed that I do not owe Klarna anything. However, when I have attempted to make a purchase I continue to receive a decline message stating that I need to pay off my overdue balance. There is no overdue balance! When I have called customer service about the automated system declining my purchase, due to an incorrect reason, all they do is read the same scripted answers and essentially parrot how they’re at the mercy of their automated computer system that obviously has a glitch. Computers are great, but they can only do so much. Computers are not capable of critical thinking skills, which is why human beings are supposed to take over when a computer is not functioning correctly. At Klarna, however, their customer service department can’t do anything except suggest that I continue to attempt to make purchases until the computer figures out that it is unequivocally wrong about me having an overdue balance. The CEO of Klarna is a computer and their customer service department is inept and unable to investigate or remedy their faulty computer’s glitch. It is beyond frustrating to call a customer service department, who can’t provide a customer with any definitive answers or any decent customer service!

    I started using the app a few months ago. I’ve been purchasing what I wanted, having my payments deducted from my card with no issues...everything was fine. I thought this app was too good to be true! BECAUSE IT WAS! Suddenly, today, I go to create a ghost card and it says I can’t use a prepaid card. That’s understandable. Except for the fact that this card, the same card I’ve been using since I’ve gotten the app for all of my purchases, isn’t a prepaid card and didn’t magically turn into one overnight. I contacted customer service and they didn’t know what to do so they told me call back Monday. NOPE! Payed off my pending items and deleted the app. Went and made my purchase with QuadPay with absolutely no issues. They charge an extra dollar for all installments, but it’s worth it to not have to deal with the bs! UPDATE: Now that I’m complaining publicly they magically remember there is a policy change on prepaid cards, but no one knew what was going on when I was contacting them privately about my issue. Didn’t receive a warning or anything. Nothing. Just pushed off on another customer service rep so they wouldn’t have to deal with it. Not to mention, all of the criteria for accepted payment methods are in the app and my card meets each and every one of them. Now I feel like I can’t trust them. Will not be going back.
