I adore this app. It saves me so much money because I don't have to go to my primary care doctor as much. The symptom tracker is really spot on with what’s going on with you. I decided to start using the chat with a doctor feature as well (on my free trial now, but 100% going to pay for it when the trial is up). The first time I ever talked to a doctor, she diagnosed me correctly with an ear infection and sent me in some antibiotics that cleared it right up. The next time I used it was after I had a nasty stomach bug. It took two doctors to accurately diagnose and treat me, though. The first one told me it was heartburn (I hadn’t started my vomiting yet), then after vomiting for 12 hours, I used it again and they told me it was indeed gastroenteritis. They were more than happy to send me in some Zofran for my horrible nausea so I could go back to work. Nausea leaves me useless so I was so grateful to be able to talk to a doctor after office hours and get some relief. Also the wait time for me has always been less than 15 mins. If you’re not into prescription medications, no worries, they recommended several things I had already tried prior to prescribing me medication. Plus you must identify yourself before they give medications. Love this app & makes life so much easier. That being said, if it tells you that you have something emergent going on, go to the ER, just in case. That’s how accurate this app has been for me. Huge money & time saver.

This was great. It was upfront regarding wait time for Dr. Response (hour) I missed it by 11 minutes when I ran to pick up my brother. I was reconnected and contacted again within the hour. Impressed with the questions as well as the 1:1 when we connected! Detailed. Questions I'd think every doc would want to know prior to treating any patient. Will pick up abx tomorrow! If that goes smoothly, I'd gladly give this 5+, especially for a quick online non life threatening consult.

I was having a typical female problem. Symptoms of BV/yeast infection. I really didn’t want to pay for an OB/GYN to run their tests just to find out what I already knew it was. This app asks you a series of questions at first regarding your symptoms then it gives you a list of what it “could” be. Which is nice. But then it gives you an option to chat with a doctor. You don’t have to video chat which is convenient. Just some form of ID and a selfie just to confirm that it’s actually you their talking to. The doctor views your symptoms and asks you questions. Btw, I didn’t have to wait long to get connected to a doctor. She kindly sent a script for an antibiotic over to my pharmacy of choice. Since I tend to get a secondary infection from antibiotics, she sent over a script for that as well. This was legit and was very easy to use. I just wish it let you know when the doctor was typing, otherwise I kept guessing if we got disconnected. But we didn’t. I picked up my medicine that afternoon. Not sure how it would work for throat and sinus infections though. I tend to get those a lot too. But I thought I’d let everyone know my experience my first time around.

Access to this app has changed my life. I have had depression and anxiety for quite a while but would always take myself out of going to in-person physicians. This app makes it so easy. You take a questionnaire and speak with a doctor to determine your best option for treatment. My quality of life has improved 150% since gaining access to this service. I have high deductible insurance so the low cost medication and visits are also a Godsend. I would definitely recommend this app.

I feel like this app is good to let you know if you don’t have a life threatening illness or injury. The way the app the works is that you start by telling the app about a symptom that you have (for example, a headache). The app then asks yous series of questions to narrow down your potential illness or injury and information about that injury or illness that you have. The potential illnesses that the app gives tells you you might have are based on percentages of other people’s questionnaire. For example, if you initially put in “headache” as your first symptom. The app will ask you a series of other related questions , such as “how you had any vomiting?” or “where is the headache mostly focused?” The app then tells you a list of illnesses or injuries and the percentage each illness or injury. E.g. “80% of the people that had similar answers to yours had a migraine. 40% had something else.” Etc... However, I noticed that the app doesn’t delete your past survey/questionnaires so it will ask you how your doing after you brought up a symptom to the app. I’ve been getting scam calls for the past few weeks and I haven’t been answering them. But when I decided that I would answer one, a telemarketer confirmed my name and address and advertised me a product that had to do with a past symptom that I asked the app. I made the connection and then deleted my past symptoms from the app.

Then created an entire diagnosis on those and says sorry can't help and disconnects. So stupid to not have an entire conversation with someone to understand whats going on. Going to use a different service after getting my refund.

I wish I could give this app 0 stars. I have used other telecommute medical apps that are far better. The app seems fun and informative, but the questions it asks are highly annoying. You can only choose symptoms in their very limited list. That right there will definitely not give you a correct diagnosis. Both times I have spoken to a physician, they have requested photographs which it makes you take through the apps camera. There is no way to use flash to take say a photo of your own throat. Also both times I spoke with a doctor, I was told I needed to go in and see a doctor in person. Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of the app? Now that I have used the free trial and realized this app will not work for me and I definitely do not want to pay for it, it is basically impossible to cancel or even get in touch with a representative from the company. I have emailed and called their 800 number. Haven’t been able to get in contact with a single human being. Now they have charged me. Talk about frustration. Save yourself and don’t even waste your time with this app. Doctor on Demand is 100% better.

I've been using k help now for 2 months and while a little skeptical at the beginning of a chat experience with a doctor it has turned out to be a very positive experience. I get quick response I felt as though when I voiced concerns the first doctor I met with answered with compassion which made me feel like a human was on the other end for sure. I would definitely recommend this app for a telehealth option.

  • Great for people with no insurance, or limited options for treatment. Jul 29, 2020

    By K- Health #1
The app was very automated and self-navigating which was good because I would’ve been confused on what to do. I don’t have medical insurance and rarely see a doctor and I just needed a prescription for an antibiotic and this app makes it easy to get one. I got the unlimited service for $27. Which seemed like a good deal. The app was really redundant at first when diagnosing the problem but just keep your symptoms basic and minimal you get through it fast. I had a problem when loading a picture, it wouldn’t stop loading so I had to manually click back to the text screen but the doctor was able to see it. K-Health also links you to a discount prescription app that saves you money at the pharmacy. In all I spent about $50 compared to hundreds oh dollars it would have cost me for a walk- in clinic, or ER visit with no insurance. So I was very impressed with the app. And will definitely be using it again.

    By syoung3402
Overall I’m pretty happy with this service/app but I’d definitely give it 5 stars if there were a couple improvements. When sending a notification that you have a message from a physician, if it’s actually a chat request/message, please call it a chat request or chat message so we don’t leave the physician hanging. Also, I was waiting and waiting and waiting in the “chat” when I got a notification of another message but there was no update “in” the chat at all. I ended up closing the app thinking the physician had left but when I checked on it later, there was in fact a new chat message. By the time I was responding, the chat closed and I had to reconnect with a physician again (still waiting) and I had to re-write my entire message all over again. It would be nice if we could “see” that someone is typing and real time chat updates

THANK THE GODDESS OF WHOLE DAIRY MILK FOR THIS APP! Lately, I’ve been having painful cramps in my upper legs. Not sure why, but yesterday, they became extremely painful when I was in the car. I look everywhere on the internet, but not much help. I saw an ad for this app and decided to give it a shot. It listed some things that may be the issue. Sometimes, these cramps feel like blood is clotted in my legs and it becomes unbearable. I begged god for forgiveness to be relieved of this cruel punishment, but my prayers were never answered. The only problem I have with this app is it recommends seeing a doctor. I have healthcare, so visiting a doctor wouldn’t be a problem. HOWEVER; the doctor would make me sit in a waiting room and make me read old magazines. I saw it in an underwater documentary once. Receiving lollipops from the doctor is propaganda and I shall not fall for it!

  • If you aren’t in a rush and have a basic infection. Dec 30, 2020

    By TaliaKhrystian
TLDR: only use this if you have a cold or something, not helpful for any other sort of treatment. I waited almost 3 hours to get a text and then I finally got one during a 20 minute period I was unable to look at my phone, despite me waiting a long amount of time, I was only given 12 minutes to respond before being put back in the waiting room. It’s now been 2 hows since I tried to reconnect and I’m still waiting. If you have time to sit by your phone all day, or if you’re in a pinch this could be a good option for single time use. I did the subscription for 3 months and it is absolutely not worth it. Any time I needed help with any long term issues like depression or allergies I was told to see a pcp or a specialist(after waiting hours and hours to speak to someone) which was a waste. So if you have a respiratory infection, or a cold, that can probably help you out, but anything else seems to be a no-go

I purchased the $39 plan as a telemedicine project to review for my college degree. Once I hit submit to pay, it showed problem and asked me to submit again. Instead I checked my account first and the money had been taken out so I hit the back button. Next, I attempted to chat with a doctor. I have 5G and it timed me out and signed off the physician from the chat within fifteen seconds of my submission of my phone number verification. I am in Indiana and the physician was located in NY. It showed a difference of fifteen minutes from the time she requested my phone number until I responded but it was less than fifteen seconds on my end. After I signed out, it kept showing an error when I tried to sign back in. Also, although information for the application stated help 24/7, it is inaccurate. Response is not 24/7.

  • Friendly UI Aug 16, 2020

    By KYCYECIYBKTCHEX
The app is clean and runs smoothly. However, I have concerns with how much the “data-driven” aspect can limit results. For example, I have been experiencing Dysphagia and early satiety for just over two years now. Neither of those symptoms are available on the list. Instead, “symptoms closely matching” are suggested. This can be problematic because trouble swallowing (Dysphagia) and painful swallowing are not necessarily one in the same, and painful swallowing served as the substitute in this instance. I was asked a handful of questions and led to a potential diagnosis that made no sense. I also tried to put in more common symptoms, and those weren’t available either. Other apps I’ve used were more consistent with a completely different — albeit somewhat more concerning — potential diagnosis. I wanted a third opinion, and thought maybe this app would suffice, as it uses a similar UI. I was disappointed with the questions as they led me in a completely different direction. It didn’t even make sense as to how they arrived at the conclusion; it only shared that others with “similar” symptoms had “x” diagnosis. It seems there are a few kinks to work out. I would happily revisit once those are addressed.

The amount of time it takes to figure something out or even ask the next question basically matches the time it’ll take to wait in an actual doctors office for a checkup. After every response or every other response I get a “Oops something went wrong try again”. And then it will start you all over and you have to play the waiting game ALL OVER AGAIN. It’s the most irritating thing ever. I assumed it was my WiFi connection so I switched to my cellular data and same exact issue. Now I can tell you for a fact my cellular data isn’t cheap, slow or lackluster so idk what’s wrong with this app. I want to keep trying but it stresses me out more than freaking googling the same side effects and getting told I’m dying from cancer

There is no reason that every time I need to speak with a doctor that I have to go over all of my history, medications, address, id, birthdate, etc. I have already inputed this information many times and It should be saved in the database. Also they need to allow you to upload images that are saved to your phone because often I need to take a picture with a better camera and not my iPhone because either the quality is not good enough or I don’t want to take a bad or embarrassing picture and have it immediately sent to the doctor! Also multiple times now I have not been notified when the doctor was ready so they left and it refuses to let me speak with a new doctor without going through the whole symptom checked and history process all over again!

I thought this app would actually allow me to convey info to the doc on the other end. The info I typed when doc came online was treated as if it hadn’t been typed at all. Med prescribed I didn’t hv good track record with bc „that is was traditionally“ works. Went back and doc #2 was quick to cut me lose. Great concept if you fall into what the symptom checker recommends. If you want to spend money find an app with an actual doc on the other end either via phone or video call bc your info isn’t read with this group & if you had a problem w something u said wasn’t what worked in the past.......this isn’t the app for you. Great concept if you fit the Auto symptom checker. Not sure if there is an actual person on the other end with how things went. Too bad.

  • Broken Aug 12, 2019

I want to like this app, but it’s just broken now. The first time I used it, it told me I may have early onset arthritis (I just had inflammation from over exertion) and now the second time I go to use it for what should be an easier “diagnosis”, it’s legitimately just broken. When I went to add a symptom from the search bar, it tells me to use the A-Z list, when I try to open the A-Z list, the app freezes on a blank white screen. I tried restarting my phone, updating to the latest version of the app, and nothing helped. I then reinstalled the app, which it then told me I did not have an account. Overall, not great. I’d like to see improvements in the stability of the app since you’re not going to be using this all the time, only when you need it, it needs to actually work when you need it.

  • Needs improvement Nov 9, 2018

    By Rbwhite5
I realize that this is not to replace doctors’ advice, but some will use it as such. This really needs a lot of work. There really needs to be a way to give current health issues and conditions along with medications, but that is not my problem. It asks about speaking to a doctor, but why would I want to speak to a doctor if I don’t feel that I have been able to give a complete list of symptoms? Almost all these symptoms could be a number of issues. So, for example, if I just had surgery and wonder if my issues could be related, I can’t tell the app I just had surgery. There’s not enough info given. It’s a great idea, just needs a lot of improvement.
