Almost the perfect game!
Jul 1, 2022 By Brmack22I would have given this game 5 stars but I only gave it 4. Here’s why, the game is absolutely incredible! I love it how you can run around these small open worlds fighting enemy’s alongside your favorite Jurassic world dinosaurs! The different locations look gorgeous and the dinosaur models look amazing, except for spinosaurus which is pretty much a baryonyx with a sail. That was a downer. I love it how this game brings something much different from the other two big Jurassic games and gives us something new, fun, and interesting, but this is why I gave it 4 stars. The fact that you need energy to play is just ridiculous! You pretty much can only play three levels at a time before you have to wait a long time until your energy is restored! It slows everything down and turns this amazing game into what feels like a scam! At times, I feel like it just ruins the game! You make something as incredible as this but then kill it with this energy crap. If this was gone it would be one of the best games I have ever played on mobile. Overall this game is amazing but would be so much better without the energy. It should be removed like how Jurassic world alive had removed it’s battery crap. more -

When I click on watch ad it then says sorry something went wrong. So therefore I have to completely exit the game then open the game again just to play the next mission. Issue was solved or at least not having the issue anymore. So 5 stars from me more -

It’s also great to see a non park builder Jurassic game(even if it’s mobile). I will say that the energy concept, while understandable, is annoying and I believe that the cost of energy in missions should at least be lowered because currently it cost about 8-15 energy which drains the bar so fast. Some questions I have about the game is why aren’t dinosaurs like apatosaurus and brachiosaurus in the game and will they ever be in the game and also a mode where you play as a dinosaur and eat people I feel would be AMAZING. Overall the game is great and I’m eager to see where it is in the future. more -

It isn't pay to win which is epic, But here's a few issues i have: I'm on a phone but the buttons are really small and i find myself missing the buttons, especially the dodge button, Its way too small So customizing button sizes would be nice. Also, occasionally the game really drops in framerate, making it pretty much unplayable. It fixes itself after reopening the game, but its a waste of energy, so it kinda sucks. Servers aren't great either, but its still pretty new. more -
Pretty Fun, with minor problems

Too small of roster - I’m confident this will change overtime, but the dinosaur roster is significantly smaller than both of the other Jurassic games starting rosters. However, points for making the Trike one of the best in-game creatures finally. Energy is annoying - The energy mechanic is not something I like. I think it fits in the side modes/events but the story levels cost a lot of energy so I can only play 4 levels before having to wait to recharge as of the time I write this. Either reduce costs or gut the mechanic entirely. Servers are very volatile - The servers have major connectivity issues, as I’ve gotten DC’d way too much when I’m just sitting there. Even buying DNA crates has disconnected me. Heck, I’m writing this right now because the game straight up won’t load and I needed something to do to pass the time. This requires major fixing and is hopefully a priority target for the team. Some positives: Love how there’s actually a good number of Ceratopsians in the game, as the other two Jurassic games have 5 or 6 each excluding hybrids. Love how this game has no mention of hybrids so far, and I also love how the dinosaurs battling is kind of just “something that happens due to circumstance” thing instead of it being a focal point of the game. Can’t wait to see how JW:PO develops over time! more -

The gameplay is simple and fun and encourages exploration. Edit: after a couple of days of playing... It's fun, but pretty monotonous after a while. The dialogue is kind of weak, and you'll run into the normal problems of free to play games with xp. Still worth picking up to try. more -
Great potential

I love the dynamic of this game and the inclusion of multiple different play aspects such as cards, guided campaign, events, and stuff. It has been a great experience so far but there are a few issues that I wanted to bring up in an act of constructive criticism. The different screens and interfaces are a little bit laggy and the server has trouble connecting a lot. Idk if that’s a game issue or an issue with my phone but just wanted to bring it up. Also in-game in the settings the graphics quality will randomly change on me. I’ll set it on high and then look back at it 10 seconds later and it switches back to low. Nothing too bad but just little things that would make the game that much better. Thanks for reading my review and great game! more -

Then I would try to reconnect and it won't so I have to close the game and then reopene and se times the game will start back up and some times it won't. Login/account issues

It’s pretty cool, though I don’t think it should take quite as much $$$ to unlock one dinosaur. My biggest grievance however is that today I opened the app and it had logged me out already and asked me to login with my Face ID. I did this a few times through the day, and then one time it couldn’t read my face (mask was on), and it cancelled the option to log in and began the game from the beginning. I tried closing the app a few times to hopefully get the login option but nope. Even deleted the app and re-downloaded. Still it’s forcing me to go through the whole step-by-step beginning missions. I’m hoping it gives me a login option eventually. This is an issue that has caused me to give up on games in the past. Please fix these problems; I really want to like this game. more -
A good game but at times unplayable
Jul 4, 2022 By Mataytay1102The game is good. Primal ops is honestly a really nice concept of a game and is definitely a twist from the other types of Jurassic games that we’ve gotten. It’s nothing too too grand but it delivers as a proper mobile game. The issues that stand with the game which make it nearly unplayable are the inability to even log into the game because it constantly disconnects or just doesn’t allow log in. The other aspect that doesn’t really allow playability is the energy aspect of the game. Every mission requires 8-11 energy and with an energy cap of 30 that takes a while to recharge, you can play a couple minutes and then have to wait prolonged periods of time just to play again. I understand the reasoning to prolong the game for everyone, but it stands to be a very poor experience for a game that holds a good amount of potential. more

Over a week unable to play due to bugs
Aug 4, 2022 By ChayaAOriginally I have this game a 4 star review, but since then I have had to change it to 1. Last week the game released an updated version, and I and many others are still unable to play due to a bug within the game that causes it to freeze when prompted to visit the newly unlocked sanc operations. I have contacted support, I have left messages on Facebook, and we are all still locked out. For whatever reason this bug only effects some people. I do hope the dev team addresses this problem, but I am beginning to wonder if it won’t be fixed because it only effects a few people vs a large number. If the bug gets fixed and things are back to normal, I will, of course, increase the ratings, but to have a bug persist this long that prevents people from playing the game at all is pretty bad. I know bugs happen in games, but it would be nice to hear from the team after a full week of problems. Thanks so much! more -
Jun 30, 2022 By Blayne GreinerThe game has potential but is ruined by a few things. The biggest issue is occasionally the dinosaur summon buttons will glitch and you can't call them anymore. It becomes a death sentence for whatever you are doing which wastes energy. Second issue is the aforementioned energy system. Limits progress which hinders gameplay. Tack on pretty bad game performance and it becomes a frustrating experience. The gameplay is decent when it is working and you have energy but that seldom happens. more -

Stamina system is the worst part because you barley have enough to do all but maybe 3-4 missions until you have to wait for energy to refill. Forced tutorial 2nd biggest issue. Games with forced tutorials hold your hand far to much for far to long. 2022 and still games don't know how make tutorials optional. Half the games on the mobile market play the same, tutorials aren't really needed. Gonna pass on this. more -

The missions are basically the same of walking and shooting baddies and sometimes calling your dinos for help, the novelty wears off after you shot the same poacher for the nth time in a similar map. The story is nonsensical, and the main characters come off as annoying (character creation would be great tbh). The technical problems such as shuttering, lag, and crashing... more -

Jul 28, 2022 By Taz Razrinstalled update now cannot access game. game would have issue connecting to servers, but would eventually connect. game forced update, now keeps reporting no server access or game requests reboot. gave it a second chance via un/reinstall, game started, but was clean slate. running thru the practice and intro. finally asked about google play and when selected, indicated it found status. now gane back to repeatedly requesting reboots. was fun while it lasted,which was about a month. more -

Not a good game if you have to have your screen on a high brightness. I dont like the device to get hot where it hard to keep in your hands. more -

Unfortunately, the Server Stability is Quite the hindrance in enjoying the game app, as you'll encounter plenty of Connection problems as you play... Devs, pls "REMOVE" those Darn Watch Ads function after mission, Its Ruining Everything, or Just make sure There's Always a "Skip/Continue" button beside it! How can we play properly if the players get Stuck Almost Always on those Pesky Bugs?! more -

I've tried everything, I even uninstalled, reinstalled, played through intro, and then swapped to my former account... still freezes on home screen once it loads. I use a Samsung Galaxy S20 Note Ultra. Hopefully they fix this fast... 🤷 more

Great for dinosaur fans
Jul 7, 2022 By aidenLudvigsonBeen playing the game for a few days. Pretty simple and straight forward. It is a free to play model so it has energy that is required to do missions - just part of the deal I think the suggestions of more control over companions in the future would be great and add a nice dimension. Or maybe just an ability to customize for a particular role or behavior - like DNA splicing. I wish the story mode was more involved. Honestly the basis is what I wish Dominion was about, instead of locusts. It was clear after a few levels they were recycling dialogue. If a story unfolded with it - it would be a fun addition to Jurassic cannon. Maybe have them reflect regional climates and thematic missions correlating with that. An option for if you double tap the attack button when in close range to a target for a mele attack would be great too. Just a nice option I think with the story thing - having a human boss or bosses who were poachers, fight ring leaders, and that sort of thing would add good flavor. Just food for thought more -

The game is overall fun and each mission even though alike has different challenges to do. All I want to know is the new 16 there is not even a possible way to add them to your collection. Will it be events? Willthey eventually be added in the family events? Or will they be added into the store crates. As of now they are just filling in empty spots and no way to get them. Its pretty annoying to have to wait for 2 hours just to play two games and it makes the game pretty boring at some points. 2 dinosaurs. I love the variety, but i wish there were more to collect, and easier ways to collect them. You should also add hybrids to the game, for enemies and friendlies. Great game set for expansion

We are battling and playing great events. This game was setup well for future updates. In future updates I hope to see more dinosaur categories (hadrosaurs, huge long necks like a brachiosaurus, and more feathered bird dinosaurs). I would also like to see more game modes like raid bosses (includes a clan system), multiplayer battles, and random encounters. The game is great and just needs more updates to survive. more -
Quite buggy but good over all

But then when I opened the app it said “Login error.” When I click the apple sign on the bottom it says again “Login error.” As well if I click the play button it will say the same. I don’t know if this is only happening to me, but I hope you can fix it in the future cause I really want to play some primal ops. more -

Super laggy controls with weapons which sometimes doesn't respond at all, and the movement controls... it's horrid, laggy, and even stops working at times and even resets itself back to the lower left of the screen. Dinosaur health is far too low, in my opinion, to have one as a companion to help with missions.🤷🏻♂️ I don't like this game at all, but 5 stars for awesome potential. more

It isn't pay to win which is epic, But here's a few issues i have: I'm on a phone but the buttons are really small and i find myself missing the buttons, especially the dodge button, Its way too small So customizing button sizes would be nice. Also, occasionally the game really drops in framerate, making it pretty much unplayable. It fixes itself after reopening the game, but its a waste of energy, so it kinda sucks. Servers aren't great either, but its still pretty new. more -
Pretty Fun, with minor problems

Too small of roster - I’m confident this will change overtime, but the dinosaur roster is significantly smaller than both of the other Jurassic games starting rosters. However, points for making the Trike one of the best in-game creatures finally. Energy is annoying - The energy mechanic is not something I like. I think it fits in the side modes/events but the story levels cost a lot of energy so I can only play 4 levels before having to wait to recharge as of the time I write this. Either reduce costs or gut the mechanic entirely. Servers are very volatile - The servers have major connectivity issues, as I’ve gotten DC’d way too much when I’m just sitting there. Even buying DNA crates has disconnected me. Heck, I’m writing this right now because the game straight up won’t load and I needed something to do to pass the time. This requires major fixing and is hopefully a priority target for the team. Some positives: Love how there’s actually a good number of Ceratopsians in the game, as the other two Jurassic games have 5 or 6 each excluding hybrids. Love how this game has no mention of hybrids so far, and I also love how the dinosaurs battling is kind of just “something that happens due to circumstance” thing instead of it being a focal point of the game. Can’t wait to see how JW:PO develops over time! more -

The gameplay is simple and fun and encourages exploration. Edit: after a couple of days of playing... It's fun, but pretty monotonous after a while. The dialogue is kind of weak, and you'll run into the normal problems of free to play games with xp. Still worth picking up to try. more -

I love the dynamic of this game and the inclusion of multiple different play aspects such as cards, guided campaign, events, and stuff. It has been a great experience so far but there are a few issues that I wanted to bring up in an act of constructive criticism. The different screens and interfaces are a little bit laggy and the server has trouble connecting a lot. Idk if that’s a game issue or an issue with my phone but just wanted to bring it up. Also in-game in the settings the graphics quality will randomly change on me. I’ll set it on high and then look back at it 10 seconds later and it switches back to low. Nothing too bad but just little things that would make the game that much better. Thanks for reading my review and great game! more -

When I get done with a campaign mission, it will say to connect and it won't let me connect sometimes and when I log in either the mission didn't complete or I didn't get my rewards.Same with crate! I just purchased a ceratopsians crate and it wouldn't let me purchase it because of connection issues. It restarted the game-my points were spent. I didn't even get my rewards more -

Aug 8, 2022 By orange yoshiI think jurassic world primal ops is a fantastic game and i love playing it ever since release i also haven’t seen any glitches which is very impressive for a brand new game but some problems in it are the energy and requirements i think they should be completely removed or you can make it so energy doesn’t need to be used to play levels but you can use it to skip them even if they have requirements and you can make it so nest missions give you more dna like 20 to 24 and have crates give you 12 to 16 so you dont have to spend all week trying to get the dna to rank them up then it would be the perfect game more -

Login/account issues

It’s pretty cool, though I don’t think it should take quite as much $$$ to unlock one dinosaur. My biggest grievance however is that today I opened the app and it had logged me out already and asked me to login with my Face ID. I did this a few times through the day, and then one time it couldn’t read my face (mask was on), and it cancelled the option to log in and began the game from the beginning. I tried closing the app a few times to hopefully get the login option but nope. Even deleted the app and re-downloaded. Still it’s forcing me to go through the whole step-by-step beginning missions. I’m hoping it gives me a login option eventually. This is an issue that has caused me to give up on games in the past. Please fix these problems; I really want to like this game. more -
A good game but at times unplayable

It’s nothing too too grand but it delivers as a proper mobile game. The issues that stand with the game which make it nearly unplayable are the inability to even log into the game because it constantly disconnects or just doesn’t allow log in. The other aspect that doesn’t really allow playability is the energy aspect of the game. Every mission requires 8-11 energy and with an energy cap of 30 that takes a while to recharge, you can play a couple minutes and then have to wait prolonged periods of time just to play again. I understand the reasoning to prolong the game for everyone, but it stands to be a very poor experience for a game that holds a good amount of potential. more -
Artificial gameplay softwalls
Jul 3, 2022 By aZythonWhat is an extremely fun game for a couple of minutes is quickly overshadowed by an extremely restrictive stamina system. You may only get 2-3 rounds before you hit the stamina wall and there is nothing left to do - unless you pay money. I understand trying to artificially inflate the game's length by stopping the player from advancing too quickly - but this restriction should only apply to forward advancement, or "skip" missions - not replaying for fun. The DNA system is pretty contrived as well. When you need to reach 50/50 DNA to unlock a dinosaur, and even epic crates are only dropping sparse 1's and 2's of DNA - do not waste your money thinking you'll be running around with Blue and a T. Rex like the advertisements will show you. It's understandable to not want players to immediately buy their way to the most OP Dino's, and surely playable events and the like will a more consistent route to get them, but I did feel dumb buying a few epic crates just to see a bunch of dinosaurs at 1/50. The gameplay, while slightly repetitive, does scratch the itch of wanting to send dinosaurs off on your foes. The AP system to summon dinosaurs is reasonably paced, and the dinosaurs are reasonably balanced. 3/5 more -

A couple of things I think would make it better would be to be to switch camera views or be able to zoom out to see how many of the enemies there are. Graphics are good, alot to do to keep you busy. Nice job! Looking forward to keeping up with the game. After playing a few days, I have to change the rating. Lots of connection errors, game crashes and kicks you out. I’ve completely lost my original account and I was signing in with Apple, now it has me starting all over again. I tried to report in the game and it won’t send. I was at Sanctuary lvl 6 almost done with chapter 1. Too bad, potential for a good game, but the server is horrible. more -

Fun but I hate energy

It’s so fun but to play a mission you have to have 8-10 energy in chapter’s 1 and 2 and if you fail the mission it doesn’t give back the energy so I have to wait a long time to get all my energy back to play again and it just makes the game like a scam because you watch a add or pay real life money to get energy or wait a long time to get it back. That’s the only thing I hate the game so fun and I like the idea of saving dinosaurs and making a Dino team. But please remove energy or make it 3-5 for the first chapters. That would be awesome if you did that so please do it more -
Fun when it works

The only thing is that it doesn’t work, at least for me. Every attempt to load up the app is met with it crashing, saying it can’t load or connection was lost, or it just stays on the still image for years. If you get lucky, you can get in to play, but then your game can crash during/after a mission and you lose all rewards and stamina used is just gone. I hope that they fix these issues soon, I do love the game. more -

For example, when I want to rank up some of my dinosaurs it says “error has occurred” and doesn’t let me rank it up unless I completely restart my app. When I watch ads to skip things or receive items, sometimes it also says “error has occurred” and I just watched an ad for nothing. Jul 9, 2022 By ftfhihftrdOk so I love this game, but for a Jurassic world dominion game it’s not very dominionish I guess for a first there is a whole family of dilophosaurus kind of dinosaurs but in the movie there’s just the dilophosaurus but also when it comes to flyers there’s no quetzal there is also no hadrosaurs at all no para no iguanodon not edmantosaurus no nothing and for a dominion game there are only 2 of the main 4 dominion dinosaurs (or at lest what I think the main dominion dinosaurs are.) there is no giga and there’s no theri. The lack of dinosaurs really just brings the game down for me. more

It becomes a death sentence for whatever you are doing which wastes energy. Second issue is the aforementioned energy system. Limits progress which hinders gameplay. Tack on pretty bad game performance and it becomes a frustrating experience. The gameplay is decent when it is working and you have energy but that seldom happens. more -

Stamina system is the worst part because you barley have enough to do all but maybe 3-4 missions until you have to wait for energy to refill. Forced tutorial 2nd biggest issue. Games with forced tutorials hold your hand far to much for far to long. 2022 and still games don't know how make tutorials optional. Half the games on the mobile market play the same, tutorials aren't really needed. Gonna pass on this. more -

Over a week unable to play due to bugs

Last week the game released an updated version, and I and many others are still unable to play due to a bug within the game that causes it to freeze when prompted to visit the newly unlocked sanc operations. I have contacted support, I have left messages on Facebook, and we are all still locked out. For whatever reason this bug only effects some people. I do hope the dev team addresses this problem, but I am beginning to wonder if it won’t be fixed because it only effects a few people vs a large number. If the bug gets fixed and things are back to normal, I will, of course, increase the ratings, but to have a bug persist this long that prevents people from playing the game at all is pretty bad. I know bugs happen in games, but it would be nice to hear from the team after a full week of problems. Thanks so much! more -

If you complete all your dailies you will spend a good 30-40 minutes claiming them because of the loading of each one. After Update, all of my progress was gone

What’s Groovy
Keep having issues with game rebooting. Try to submit issue to customer service but submit button doesn't work, it just stays on the screen with the free text box. I've really enjoyed playing this game, and I have paid money in game, so I'm disappointed that after a substantial update, it's stuck in a Reboot cycle and won't load the game. I've restarted the application multiple times but it doesn't work.

What’s Subpar
I wanna love this game. But the bugs are making it hard. Lags, forced ads, and buttons not reacting. I'll give it 5 again when they fix the bugs. I feel like this game could've taken a little longer to finish and had a better final product. Edit. Just went down to a 1 star. The dinosaur summoning buttons became unresponsive during my T rex battle after spending real money and 95 Amber so I could stay in the DFW leaderboard. This is unacceptable
