Dec 27, 2020 Okay, I'm honestly shocked. I've been using JotterPad for a few weeks now, and it's pure GOLD. JotterPad has zero ads (if you're not counting the premium ones) and it's a nice stress reliver for me. Though some of the buttons are a bit confusing to me, I currently have no problems with this app! I love to make stories with this, and it has options for setting it up the way you want! (Ex: Novel, Screenplay, etc.) I'm going to keep it-!more -
Dec 16, 2020 It works for what I downloaded it for. I'm still new with the app but it gets the job done. Doesn't have the basic spelling, gramar or punctuation correction that I would like (The free version.) I can write freely and it will save my writing, in a clean format that's simple to use. I wasn't really expecting much from a free service so I'll give it 4 stars.more -
Dec 29, 2020 I've been using JotterPad for a couple years to journal and think it's a wonderful app. It even saved my bacon when my Chromebook disk drive got wiped unexpectedly... I was relieved to discover all of my entries came right back as though nothing had happened (I'd configured it to save my docs to my Google Drive).more -
Feb 23, 2021 I love this app, I am creating a new book and when I printed it out the font looked amazing but the only problem is that I wish there was so premium Everybody would rate this more than 5 stars if they were but This app is amazing ;)more -
Dec 24, 2020 I overall think it's a good app, the folders and endless supply of files are great. I only really feel the need to complain about the titles and how these (/|\<>"*'?) symbols cannot be used. I find it ridiculous and dumb, it just gets in the way. Other than that overall it's pretty good.more

Feb 5, 2021 Well I downloaded and was going to give it a try. In the process of copying / editing my first book i got 4 chapters in, went to get something to drink. I don't know what button i pushed but it deleted everything I wrote and went back to the frist line and I lost everything.more -
Dec 17, 2020 I used to love JotterPad, it's the app I used any time I wanted to write ideas or snippets of things I could work on later. Unfortunately, now unless I pay, I can't use JotterPad anywhere beyond my phone, as I can't connect any cloud services whatsoever without paying the $30 a year. To think that such a simple and integral feature of a writing app is locked behind a pay wall is ridiculous, and I'll have to find a replacement.more -
Feb 16, 2021 This was a good app, and I liked it, until they locked all cloud sync behind a subscription. It's not even your storage, it's mine. I already paid for the upgrade before this happened, but I'm not paying you a subscription to use space I already pay for. That's just mistreating your user base. Edit: a quick google search shows the developers reply is not true and other people experienced the same. I'm just using the app Autosync, and not paying you more.more -
Feb 7, 2021 Well, I was looking forward to trying this as it had been highy recommended for my tablet, but no dark mode without annual subscription? No thank you. Keep your bells & whistles - dark mode should be standard. -
Jan 9, 2021 The online tutorials don't seem to match up to the experience at all? I wanted to write a screenplay, but the tutorial it directs you to for screenplays tells me to do things and click things that don't seem to exist in the app. Very confusing, will uninstall.more

Feb 7, 2021 Amazing app. It's the best place for book outlines, grocery lists, and important notes. I love it. Wouldn't use any other app. -
Jan 2, 2021 I love this app. I am currently writing a story called "My brother the cool kid" and this is very helpful for writing on the go. The only thing is, I have a hard time going from one story to another without exiting the app, but I think that is just on me.more -
Dec 25, 2020 This is an extremely ingenious app because your documents don't show up. This makes life alot easier. You get the app, you have no documents, so you delete the app.

Jan 5, 2021 Jotterpad is a helpful accessibility tool, and as a disabled writer, ease of access is the difference between "writing is hard" and "writing is impossible no matter how hard I try." Free version is limited in features and usefulness. Pros - simple layout means less visual noise - hidden formatting options don't suck me into the minor adjustments void - few steps between clicking the icon and the actual writing Cons - convoluted process to integrate with Scrivener - very few free optionsmore -
Dec 13, 2020 I absolutely love this app. It's such a neat writing tool and works really well for keeping all my drafts in one convenient place. I do wish there were more features available without having to upgrade, but I still appreciate how simple and effective JotterPad is to use.more

Dec 15, 2020 So annoying you have to pay for the cloud now. I haven't used this in a little while so not sure when this update happened. The pop up when you open the app, begging you to buy the pro version is very annoying too. However, I like the simple style. I've noticed when you get to about 50,000 words, you can't write anything more on that current document and need to start a new one.more -
Jan 5, 2021 Very helpful for writing on the go, however the only issue is that this is just Google Docs but with a Pro Version. I would say get this app if you do not have the chance to use a computer but if you do, I would rather just use Google Docs.more

What’s Groovy
Didn't have this for very long but isn't complicated to use, I've tried other apps including the notepad your phone comes in but they weren't really motivating me to write. I'm not a writer at all but this helped me put ideas in place, and at least helped me attempt a story in the first place. Format isn't confusing at all, very simple.

What’s Subpar
I've been using this app for a number of years. It's simple, easily accessible to anyone who needs to write in a txt file. However, a recent update has locked cloud sync behind a subscription system and as others has noticed, the devs claim that this has always been the case. If they hadn't lied, I wouldn't be altering this review, but this destroyed the devs in my mind. The app itself is quite good, but the devs took a page from 1984. I would've paid otherwise, but now I'm uninstalling.
