Spooky Studio is fantastic. If you’re interested in the mysteries of the paranormal, from true stories of hauntings, UFO sightings, Cryptids and other strangeness, you will love Spooky Studio on that merit alone. But wait! There’s more! There are other podcasts where Jim Harold interviews authors, practitioners and specialists in Occult, healing modalities, Ufology, you name it! You will learn a lot. Plus there are links to the books if you’re interested in purchasing. There are other podcast categories such as True Crime and one even on Soul Mates where folks call in to tell their stories of how they, inspire of all odds, met and fell in love. I can’t even list all the fun stuff you can discover in this Spooky Studio app. I highly recommend subscribing for hours, days and years of interesting and fun, mystifying and Spooky content. I have been subscribed now for almost two years and I still haven’t gotten through all the podcasts! Can’t wait to keep exploring! Thanks to Spooky Studio for such a great product!

Jim Harold is the O.G. of paranormal podcasts. If you aren't familiar with him, if you like paranormal, spooky, and mysterious content and prefer an engaging and respectful approach, you will probably love him. He's respectful, upbeat, positive and open-minded but not over-the-top. His manner of speaking and relating to people is great. He remains one of the best in his field. This is a great app for accessing his content as it keeps it in one nice neat tidy place for you to listen to.

The app is very convenient and allows me to download all my subscribed content at once. But I really, really wish that there was a simple way to hide or delete episodes that I’ve already listened to. Currently, there is a tiny “100% episode played” script on each completed episode, but I’d much rather have the ability to swipe some of those episodes off screen entirely while saving other particularly memorable episodes within a centralized in-app folder (regarding the latter: yes, I know that there’s a way to save downloaded episodes, but it is clunky: it works only within each individual show and not across the board, and it is still hard to discern played episodes from non-played, downloaded vs non-downloaded, etc). Podcast apps have long held the ability to hide or delete episodes, and so I hope that this feature will one day come to the Spooky Studio app. I’m a big fan of Jim Harold’s content, but when you’re talking about hundreds of episodes across multiple shows, the current app interface makes it very difficult to keep track of what I’ve already listened to.

Hello Friends, I have been listening to Jim Harold for many years now and the thing that strikes me *most* about his shows is how good he is at drawing out the people he is interviewing. Every single show is researched, prepared for, and well thought out. Jim is so good at asking the questions we really want to hear the answers to! I really love his podcasts and look forward to more on the way! I hope to hear more of the Crime Scene shows, a super interesting subject, which I have been listening to for a while and is now available to all you lucky people in the free shows! These are just fascinating - I have been especially interested in the shows on mobsters and murderers. Sometimes they have even involved events close to my home, such as the trials that have taken place here in Phoenix, AZ, where I live. That makes it even more interesting to me. I love the historical and current shows equally - both are so interesting!!! Thanks Jim!!! Robin

the audio constantly stops playing in the middle of shows and it's necessary to pause and rewind repeatedly to catch up.

Too much talking and not enough story telling. Plus his commercials are stupid!

This is such a great way to keep up-to-date with all of Jim Harold's content. You can see which shows have new content at a glance. The keyword search feature is fabulous when you're browsing for episodes. Author/interviewee content links are integrated right into each page. Sound quality is great. You can skip forward or back by a determined number of seconds. It keeps track of the episodes you've listened to. Tons of great features, and I've encountered absolutely no bugs.

  • Good show poor app Feb 1, 2020

The show is good but the app leaves something to be desired. Apparently this app has to be used while you online eve though you download stories. I downloaded stories to listen to on two long plane trips. When I clicked on the app it brought up a strange sign-in page which would not recognize me email nor passwords. The app apparently crashed. After both trips I had to reload the app. Which means I also had to reload all my favorites and download the programs I wanted to listen to. So don’t plan on listening to programs you want to hear if you don’t have internet. Prolly download stories on the nonmember podcast site

  • Great app until you’re cut off without notice Jan 16, 2019

I’m supposed to be on auto renew Premium account but today with no notice or other explanation I’m no longer a premium user and those shows are now locked. I’ve contacted support and the billing company is offering a signup like I’m a new subscriber. I’m no longer sure I want to continue the premium podcast account after this kind of treatment. The shows themselves are pretty good depending on your paranormal interests. Because the content is good I rate 3 stars so as not to downgrade the ratings too much.
