  • May have saved my life

    by Happylittlecamper

When I was 51, I found myself feeling really sluggish. I thought it may have been menopause or maybe depression. At the same time I kept using the app to check my heart rate and it repeatedly came out in the low 40's. This went on for a couple of weeks until I finally took my results in to the cardiologist. At first he didn't believe me and since I had no other symptoms he said the app was just wrong. Because I had consistently been get such low pulse reading I kept pestering him and He reluctantly order a Holter monitor test. When the results came back the next evening I was told to get to the ER asap and had a pacemaker the next morning. Turns out had complete heart block which is an electrical issue not a cholesterol/artery one. Without this app detecting my low pulse I would not have pushed the cardiologist the run any tests and would have listened when he said I was fine. I am so grateful for this app. Not sure what would have happened without it.

    Looks measure heart rate well

  • Excellent for characterizing cardiac rhythm

    by Alabama redneck (educated)

I have been cardioverted twice for atrial fibrillation. Thus, it is important that I monitor my cardiac rhythm regularly. A few months ago I noticed an interesting anomaly in rhythm when I looked at my heart rate. Every third beat occurred earlier than the two previous beats and showed less blood flow. this pattern was reproducible. As a Med school professor, I had an MD/PhD student who studied genetic changes in young and old rat hearts due to aging, thus I am familiar with ecgs. I suspected a condition termed trigeminy in which every third beat is a premature ventricle contraction (PVC) beginning in the ventricle instead of the SA node. I emailed the graph to my cardiologist who had me come in for an ECG. It confirmed my “diagnosis” that indeed I was in trigeminy. Subsequently flow normalized and I have not again seen this condition. Electrolytes such as sodium and potassium play crucial roles in regulating cardiac rhythm so this condition could have been due to lower than normal concentration of an electrolyte such as potassium.

  • Great App

    by Douglas the II

I have used this app prior on an older iPhone. Back about a year ago I didn’t care for it because it wasn’t as accurate. Now since I think the Developer did some tweaking and fixed it I have no complaints. I have actually used it along with a true 3 lead heart monitor and it is maybe one or two BPM off but that’s a huge improvement from the older versions. I recommend holding you index finger sideways pointing to the right side of your phone with the camera. For some reason you get a more accurate reading that way. Just a suggestion! I recommend this app to anyone who like me has heart issues. I suffer from sinus tachycardia and this is pretty much the best app. Also you get the free stress test as well as participation in the Heart Disease Study when you sign up. Anything I can do to help scientist and doctors treat heart issues and save lives I’m happy to review this app. I don’t review a lot of my apps but this one is deserving!

  • Unfortunate requirement to create login

    by kfr3d

The good news is the measurement technique appears to work great. The bad news is you can only use the app once before being prompted to give your facebook account or email address to create a login. This day and age, I'm simply not willing to give everyone and their dog my email address or access to my facebook profile just to use their app, it indicates that my personal data collected on this app is probably being stored online and potentially available to the developers. I don't care what their privacy policy says, it's only a matter of time before an unscrupulous app developer following this model lies and sells that data to advertisers to start selling me heart medication or health products. I would much prefer a standalone, offline only app that only saved data locally. EDIT: it is now possible to use the app without signing in! Thank you Azumio. More stars for you.

  • Accurate App

    by Tcupp67

I have been using this app for a while. One Saturday I felt my heart racing and used the app. My heart rate was 153. I thought this can’t be right. It went like this the whole weekend. At work on Monday, my heart was still racing. I really didn’t think much about it. I walked two miles that day. The next day this was still happening. I took my heart rate with the app and it was over 160. I was light headed and just felt weird. I went to the ER and after an examination, the doctor told me I was in Afib. I was admitted to the ICU and my heart was set back into a normal rhythm. I’m set to see a cardiologist and I am being treated for sleep apnea. I’m on meds to keep my heart in rhythm normal. I am a 52 year old woman. My mother died suddenly of a heart attack at 53. If I hadn’t been keeping track of my heart rate, I would just have put it down to fatigue or menopause. This app is correct.

    this app is very good

  • Great App!!

    by Still tick'n

I have been using this app now for several months. I use it at various times of the day during my activities. I am 69 now but have been active all my life and this app lets me know my heart rate before and after activities. I swim 1 1/2 miles almost daily and the app makes it quick and convenient to keep an accurate record of my heart rate. My resting heart rate now ranges between the upper 40’s to the mid 50’s. And, without this app I would not have known my rate was so good. I used to try checking my heart rate by trying to measure my pulse by doing it the old manual way was a pain; as I always had to have a watch or clock in which to take a measurement. No longer, as I just place my finger on the light of my iPhone and it not only takes a convenient measurement but keeps a record. Love this app!!!

  • My Cardiologist....

    by Kknola

I saw my cardiologist today, and I told him about this app on my cell phone – my iPhone, and he was really enthusiastic and excited about it. I have had times when I have needed to know what my heart rate was, and I just couldn’t do it the typical away. Well, I got this, and I can take my heart rate whenever I want or need to. It’s easy to use, and I think it’s pretty accurate. It’s one of the best apps I have ever gotten because it really helps me. I get tachycardia, and he has asked me what my heart rate was when I got it, and I never could give an answer. Well now I can, but I sure hope I don’t get tachycardia anymore. I feel like I’m taking better care of myself. I think it’s just great! And it was free! I may upgrade soon. Thanks for creating this app! Blessings! 😊

  • Good heart rate app!

    by Bcamdine

This app seems to be pretty accurate in comparison to taking manual rates. It is simple and easy to use. It has multiple "heart-healthy" trackers built into one app and it allows you to monitor what factors, throughout day, may have an impact on your heart rate. This helps keep track of and monitor important health markers, so you can more easily manage your overall health more independently, and have a convenient place to share your information with healthcare providers so that they can also better help you manage your health (if desired.) Another positive is that this app integrates with some other apps like iHealth and sleep cycle (to name a few,) and gives the option to remind you to keep track of your heart health.

  • Alerted Dr.

    by snfkolhs

One day I had a sudden onset of chest discomfort. Noticing that my heart rate seemed to be speeding I used the heart rate app to take my heart rate. It showed a rate of 127 and from the readout of the pattern I could tell that it was also very irregular. When it seemed to settle down, I did the same procedure again and saw a normal heart rate and rhythm. When I went to the Dr. a few days later I showed him the two readings and the huge difference between the two. This alerted him and caused him to put me in a 30 day heart monitor. Being able to show him the readout from this heart rate app was much better than just listening to my symptoms. It convinced him that something out of the ordinary happened and he is suspecting I may be having episodes of Afib.

  • Saved my life

    by ThePinkLeopard

This app saved my life! I was feeling dizzy, lightheaded and short of breath while in the shower. I ran out of the shower and my husband made me use this app to check my heart rate and it was 166! My husband called the cardiologist and he told my husband what to do to control my heart rate and suggested that I check it every five minutes until my heart rate leveled. It finally leveled to 85. If I had not checked my heart rate I would not have known what was causing the symptoms and would have under estimated my symptoms as nothing and could have had a heart attack. Now my cardiologist now suggests this app to his patients. This app is accurate as I have checked it along with hospital monitors and it was right on!!!

  • This App Saved my Life ( literally )

    by GrneyeyedFF

I had some heart problems starting in January of 2014 . After some misdiagnosis and some test I found I had sick sinus syndrome ( low heart rate trashcan diagnosis) they still couldn’t find the root though . I found your app and downloaded it I compared it to my pulse OX while at work and they were even. So come several episodes of Bradycardia HR of 22 at my lowest. In July of 2018 after several in out of hospital they find I have unspecified AI( Anterior Infarction) meaning they don’t know when it happened. I am now wearing a wireless “Halter Monitor “ for 24 days and I checked your app because the light was flashing and my HR was 52bpm ...

  • Ads too intrusive

    by DrP1000

I use this app because I enrolled in the heart study and I want to contribute to medical science but it's very annoying that ads interrupt the readings. I get daily reminders to measure my heart rate and I like that but to the developer, calm down! Let me get the results before you bombard me with ads! I'll look at the ads after I get my reading but I often don't use the app because I don't feel like dealing with having to redo the reading because gets interrupted. Also, I subscribed to the calorie counter partner app and was I hugely disappointed. The app was difficult to use and often didn't recognize the food I was eating (taking a picture of your meal was a selling point). You asked me for a review! So there it is.

  • Best hear rate app EVER!

    by R05€ Wilkinson

I love this app! It's very accurate (I tested its accuracy at hospital) and very easy to use! But GET RID OF THOSE HORRID ADS that INTERUPT A VITAL READING! I was near death admitted to hospital in intensive care in critical condition and was using this app before I went in to show my heart was all over the place which this app saved my life but the darn ads kept interrupting vital recordings of my heart when I was so sick too sick to write u and too sick o keep doing vitals over and over again hoping no ads would INTERUPT vital vitals taken! Please get rid of those ads interrupting vitals taking! Otherwise this app is 100% awesome! Showed my heart beats were off bad!

  • Great tracker

    by lm1089

I’m not sure how accurate it is, but it seems pretty good. It takes some getting used to, apparently it uses your flashlight so it can “see” the blood flow to measure. I got this app (and a blood pressure tracker and cardio recorder apps) when I heard that my grandfather had a heart attack a few years ago. As active as I am, I’m surprised I keep getting a pulse rate of 84-86 so early in the day, which tells me I definitely need to improve my lifestyle. I have congenital solitary kidney and congenital mitral valve prolapse (both not diagnosed till after 16 despite symptoms at birth), so being able to easily track my stats is one less thing I have to worry about. Very happy

  • by Chuck Sherman

    Using during a spin class.

  • Helps exercise routine

    by Stahlbrenner

I checked its accuracy when resting. I counted my actual pulse for 60 seconds. Then I used this app. The two numbers were only 1 beat apart. I am using it on a NordicTrack ski machine and have made a mount for my phone so I do not drop the phone. My intensity slows a little when taking a reading because I have to stop pulling the hand cords. That changes my heart rate a little, but I have learned I need to go a little harder than I thought to be in the fat burning zone. Often more seconds pass than I would like because my pulse has not yet been detected.

  • This app possibly saved my daughters life

    by Mad opinion

My daughter came down with pneumonia and a high fever. I checked her pulse with this App and her heart rate was 186! We immediately called 911 and rushed her to the hospital. Her thyroid was imbalanced and she spend three days and two nights in the hospital. The doctors asked a few times "what made you check her pulse", from which I responded that I use this app and that I always check mine so it was the first thing I thought to do. They said things could have been much worse if her pulse wasn't taken and we didn't react quickly.

  • Life Saver

    by Normal in Sun Valley

In 2017 I had a pacemaker installed. The result of the surgery was for the first time in 72 years I experienced what it means to have a life. After the surgery my cardiologist visited. During our conversation he asked whether I knew I had a Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO). So with Sally, and our family of 5 daughters and 11 grandchildren, modern medicine, a 25 year yoga practice, a study of stoicism, an intense study of physiology and anatomy with a focus on breath work, a gift from the gods and simply good fortune I am now enjoying this life. All of this work being monitored by this tiny application. It’s truly great to be alive.

  • Does a Good Job

    by PippyL0ngst0cking

Easily & accurately measures heart rate, logs it, allows you to write a note about whatever you want in relation to individual HR readings, and even allows you to use pre-set and custom-made tags with which to associate the readings ("resting," "two minutes after exercise," etc.). The whole process takes 15-20 seconds. Also, the app allows you to set notifications to remind you to check heart rate. AND, the ads for the free version aren't really obtrusive. (The paid version is perhaps a bit steep in price--about 10/month[?].)

  • Good, but greatness not obtained!

    by Dr.David

Works well enough as you can see from the reviews. I find the ads very stressful!!! That is not good when you have a rapid heartbeat, ironically!!! Also, the more you use the app, the slower it seems to get. That could be disconcerting when you are experiencing a heart issue and can’t wait to see the results. So between the ads and the slowdown of the app, it could be it’s own cardiac stress test! By the way, the advertise this app as also being a stress test. I have not seen any of those functions yet. However, strictly for checking your pulse and looking at your heartbeat chart, it is probably the best one out there.

  • Life saving App!!

    by Ky-Farmer

This App has saved my life. I kept feeling my heart flutter but didn't have a way to check it. I downloaded it and my HR was running 28-low 30's. I told my cardiologist that I've been checking it with this App. He said that you can't trust these Apps. His nurse had just checked my HR then I used Heart rate free. We compared and my reading was the same as hers. My Cardiologist said that it was one of the most accurate Apps he'd ever seen. I now have a pace maker and I still us the App. Now several of my friends are using it. Thanks For HR FREE. Life saver!!

  • Life saver

    by dtors

This app has helped me monitor my heart rate. Doctor’s have been concerned about my slow heart for years. When I had to switch doctors because I have insurance issues they did not believe that my slow heart was a normal thing . After many tests I just gave a slow heart. During one of the tests they discovered that I have an aneurysm on my aorta. If I had not had this app to prove that my heart rate is normally slow the doctors would not have performed other tests. It is because of one of those tests that they found the aneurysm.

  • Super accurate App

    by Daisymae8

I have been using this for years & I find it 100% accurate in counting heart rate. When comparing the count by wrist and then with this App it is always right on. It is so simple, easy and fast to rely on this measurement. Why take the time to manually count, since this app does it for you? (I am a real person reporting this). I have Afib and I can always get a heart reading that is accurate to report to my doctor. Otherwise I would not be able to manually count 100>120 beats. This app does it though.

  • Works well

    by Wolverine2.5

I know it's free, but the ads drive me nuts when I'm in the middle of checking on my Heart Rate and zone category I fall in! I've had to make copies of the zones and switch back and forth between my notes. Maybe, they could have the category come up after heart rate is established? Can the ads be moved between heart rate checks? I use the app to see if I am in the correct heart rate zone for fat burning, cardio, warm-up. I tend to hit extreme too often and appreciate this app. to help me check on this aspect of my competitive nature! Go App!

  • Holy Ads!

    by HollyELee

I am more than willing to purchase a full version of an app once I have had time to use it and get a good feel for the quality. However this app throws so many ads your way it very frustrating for someone with actual serious health conditions to get a quick read. I’m uninstalling because of this. I would have bought the app had it not been for the unseasonable amount of stop and go just to get a read before the full version is bought. My suggestion would be to just offer a trial longer than a week and allow people to fully enjoy the app then make a purchase.

  • Uninstalled

    by Jillxz

I gave this app 5 stars on accuracy, but chose to uninstall it. They ask d me to sign in so I created an email and password after which they explained how to check. I did this and it was accurate. But then there was a next button which I would need to sign up for a free trial. There was no way to say no or later or no way to ex off that screen without putting in the info. I had to uninstall to get off that screen. I should have given you one star instead

  • Always on the money

    by Ed Sabis

I have been using this app off and on since it was released years ago. I have probably reviewed it before but it’s time for an update. The app never lets me down, it’s always extremely accurate, has worked over the multiple iPhones that I’ve used over the years and is so simple and easy to use. But of course the most important part, is when I compare to my actual pulse with a watch, it is always right on the money.

  • Very accurate HR

    by BLinOC714

I have POTs Syndrome. Basically an erratic heart rate that can cause me to black out if too light or too low. I need to monitor my heart rate on a regular basis and needed something I can quickly use. This was exactly what I needed. The accuracy is extremely critical to my health. I have been able to confirm the accuracy with my doctor on multiple occasions. If it’s not exactly accuracy compared to the docs monitor. It’s only off 1 or 2 numbers. We are both satisfied this apps accuracy.

  • It works! A true life saver

    by JustCallingItAsISeeIt

All I have is the free version of this app. Tempted to upgrade. I have SVT or Supraventricular tachycardia. It is essential to get the heart rate back under control ASAP. I used this app several times often before going to the ER. But since then I have used this app and the “Vagal maneuvers” to help being the heart rate back under control. Google Vagal maneuver. It really works! Who knew putting your thumb in your mouth as an adult as part of the technique could save your life.

I think this is one of the best Apps. If you happen to have a problem with your heart, it's nice to be able to keep track of your heart rate. The one thing I don't like about the App at this point is the interruptions of trying to up sale the App. I like to keep track of my heart rate since I have afib. It still is one of the best Apps. Available for anyone with a heart problem. Still one of the best Apps ever. Thank you for keeping the app as it has always been, a great one.

  • Free Version

    by gcgrafton

I’ve been using the free version for a few months, since I was diagnosed with AFIB this summer. I also use my wrist bp/heart rate measure that’s been calibrated to my Dr. BP. Both the heart rate on wrist measurements and the app are very close. It also alerted me to suspicious heart rates of being too high. I started tracking for next couple of weeks and sure enough back in AFIB. Just had another heart ablation yesterday and has put my heart rate back where it should be. Handy to have.

  • Heart Issues

    by Super Duper Sandy

Looking for an easy app to use to check my heart rate, I came across many, but kept using this one. I helps me keep my heart rate on record for my doctor. I had Afib following heart surgery and this app helps me now that I no longer have Afib, but I do want to check my heart rate and keep a record. There is a section where you can keep notes and state what is going on at the time you’re checking and recording your heart rate.

no excuses, my iphone is always with me and of course ditto my Heart - which its startlingly fit 71 years of service but notwithstanding Ive had a few “warranty” issues that my Mother refuses to cover therefore my gerontologist has directed that I monitor and keep record of what-where-when heart rate....and here we are wrapped conveniently into this heart rate monitor (now I find you are now reminding me when “its time” AND its free (TOO EASY, and sort of like an unearned run !) by Wolftooth2k5

I've been using this app for two years now and have never had an issue with it and the accuracy is verified by hospital staff to be within two points correct Five stars but please minimize the ads trying to get a reading and having an ad pop up is annoying I preferred the ads after the measurement 1 year later the developers have listened to this and placed the ad after the measurements Thank you for your continued help and for listening.

  • Amazing accuracy!!!

    by Samtheslomoking

I’ve heard of these apps before, and I wanted to see if they actually worked. I downloaded this one and compares the results to my Apple watches results. The rate were the same on both devices. I would definitely recomend this to anyone that needs their heart rate measures regularly for health issues. The only problem I had with it is the 7.99 membership fee or you only get five measurements.

  • I’m very thankful for this app!

    by Londino Handcrafted

I do not have issues with my heart. However my primary physician insisted I had high blood pressure and over medicated me. So with the help of this app I was able to monitor my actual heart rate, and take the results to a heart doctor. Here I have a small fluttering going on. The heart doctor took me off the extra medication the other doctor had me on and now a different course... LOVE THIS App ! Lee Londino

  • Very Useful App and Accurate

    by Kgintovt

Very useful app for determining your heart rate and pulse very quickly. I have hypothyroidism and the medication I was taking would cause irregular heartbeats and downright atrial fibrillation. A couple months after my doctor increased my dosage, I went into an atrial flutter and was able to monitor my heart rate until I got to the ER. In the ER, the nurses were impressed with the app and we checked its accuracy against the hospital’s equipment, and it was spot on.

This app came in handy when my heart rate jumped to 170 then to 200+ the doctor thought we were crazy to listen to an app for diagnosis on her heart rate but come to find out it was very accurate we had went to the emergency room doctors at all are you going to listen to a little app and sent him home took him to another hospital and they get them for eight days all is well now thanks to this little app we love it

This seems to be a very good program my heart rate is low normally from 46 - 51. I have to use a special BP,Pulse and oxygen monitor every day and my results are transferred from my home to to VA hospital via a secure internet. The readings I get from this program is spot on compared to my VA machine. I am very impressed. But I would talk to your doctor before relying solely on this program. I am a Spinal Cord Injury Patient and a US Marine Corps Veteran. Each individual has different needs.

    by Nickcinn

Because of this app, I am now under the care of an electro-physiologist heart specialist. For years I had a few episodes a year of a racing heart but it always stopped on its own. Finally, with the use of this app and the ability to print out the long-term results to show my doctor, I am now under the care of a specialist and know that I will need to get a pacemaker once I reach my 80s. Thank you!

    by Jason's Mei~ Mei

I knew something was wrong, I was feeling awful and decided to give the app a try and sure enough my heart rate was VERY HIGH 119 and mine normally run in the mid 80’s... I had the fast heart rate and fever, went to the ER and sure enough I had a serious infection and a way of my body telling me I was really sick and was fighting the infection! The heart rate was exactly as the ER’s each time I took it! I will forever love the app! Perfect to keep tract of my readings!

  • Fantastic app!

    by laurenleep

I have a heart condition that has flared up two times when my heart rate shots up to around 190 beats per minute. The first time no one would believe me; the second time I had this app handy and I could confirm how fast it was going. (The emergency personnel confirmed it was correct.) It saves the information so I could ... and still can ... show all the doctors exactly how bad an episode it was.

  • Ads

    by rlclark68

So far it’s good but I agree the ads right as to get results is annoying, I’m not sure will upgrade yet for this, I understand need to advertise buttttt should be small ad at the bottom something not all over the whole thing , and yes I get you still get to results after but still, now the good thing is it does what supposed to do , I’ve been recently diagnosed with stv n tracking my heart rate with meds is a necessary thing so kudos to this

    by Ashlei N

This is the best free app I have ever used and I have to unfortunately moniter my heart rate due to a health condition. This app turns your smart phone into a pulse reader instantly, it also seems you reminders daily if so choose, and you get to log everything. It's super easy, convenient, detailed, and it's very efficient! I love this app 5 stars all the way!

  • It's not just a heart rate

    by FroWhite

I love that they've partnered with researchers and give you the option to send your heart rate data to them for the study of heart disease. The app is simple to use and I have used it for years! Update, a few years later and I haven't used it for a while, but I pulled it up again and works a bit quicker than before, still impressed

  • It's Actually Accurate!!!

    by JZL125

A friend recommended this to me and I thought for sure it wouldn't accurately capture my heart rate, but it truly does and will very greatly between myself and my husband just how I would expect it to and also throughout the different times/ activities of the day! I find it an extremely convenient and insightful look into your daily health - it's awesome!!!

  • Shared with my cardiologist

    by CalPride2012

Truly an amazing app! I kept a 60 day record of my heart rate and rhythm and shared it with my cardiologist after he suspected I had an episode of AFIB. He was very, very impressed with the professional report that I was able to generate. The good news is that I did not have AFIB And was able to save considerable money, time and anxiety. He has become a Regular user of the app and recommends it to his patients.

I liked it and it seemed to work pretty well but I'm disappointed that I only got the chance to use it 5 times before they start asking me for money. I mean it's bad enough that when I installed it they were already asking me to pay for the full version but they actually don't let you use the app at all without paying money eventually. So disappointed. But what I expect nothing in this store is ever really free.

  • Heart Rate Review

    by Ashleymg88

It’s crazy to see over time how my heart rate has slowed way down after I quit smoking! My average hr was around 118 bpm & after I quit cigarettes, my average hr is about 65 bpm! Wow! I had no idea what smoking does to not only your lungs but your heart! That nicotine was making my heart pump like I was running cardio when I was resting! That’s crazy! Thanks for the insight into my health!!!!! The only reason I didn’t give 5 is because of the ads.

  • AWESOMENESS!!!!

    by Author Crystal Alexis

Just when I was about to go purchase an Apple Watch I found this APP. I have a fib and my heart beat too fast most times. It is imperative to my health that I have something to monitor my heartbeat per minute. This APP is very accurate and on point. I pay $9.99 a month, but it is definitely worth it. This isn’t a bill this is an INVESTMENT. I choose to invest in my health.

  • I have AFIB

    by Lauriem378

As an AGIB patient, this app has definitely helped me in the last 3 years. Each time I needed to tell if my heart rate was normal or accelerated, I would use the app. Two times in the last three years, I knew when to go to the hospital, and the heart rate matched that of the reading by doctors. Thank you so much for this free app. It has helped to save my life!

  • Get the info you need

    by Ed U. Cate

Instant heart rate is truly instantaneous. Where ever you are, whatever you’re doing it’s good to know what your stress level is. With instant heart rate you can know, in a matter of seconds, what your stress level is. This is in valuable information for all of us. I highly recommend it for everybody in their every day life

  • Happy!

    by much apprecoated

I suffer horribly with anxiety. I have multiple sclerosis and other health issues. My resting rate was in the 100s! After talking with my doctor and showing her what I had documented we were able to adjust my medications and I started my yoga & meditation and happily even during times of stress and/or anxiety my resting rate is now in the 70s. I love this app.

  • Have a heart, use this...

    by Mymillions

People may not always have their wrist heart rate monitors on. But this is just as accurate and people have their phones on them constantly. User friendly. Could save your life if your heart rate rises rapidly without warning...Footnote, I recently acquired an Omron professional blood pressure monitor. Your monitor matched the pulse rate of Omron exactly. Great app.

  • It’s okay.

    by Jibjose

This is a good app, and I’m impressed with its general accuracy. However, there are occasions when I check my heart rate, and the reading is going all over the place, starting my heart rate at something absurd like 130, and then shooting down to 100. I’ll still accept that it’s the most accurate HR app for iPhones, but I’m not entirely impressed by it. Lines that erratic would suggest I have arrhythmia. I’ve done multiple EKGs since that show the opposite.

  • Amazing app!!!!!

    by lil_savvyy

Completely amazing!!! And it surprisingly works. I had my left finger on my camera lens and my right on my neck and surely it told the correct pulse!!! Of course it was about a second late because the heart had to go all the way down to my finger and then the app had the detect it but It is still pretty amazing

  • Amazingly Accurate

    by Medwards2312

I have been an EMT for about 10 years so naturally, I was curious as to how accurate this app was. I have checked it against the machine we use on our ambulance, as well as several of the monitors at the ER. It has been spot on every time! If you are looking for an accurate HR app, this is the one for you!!

  • Works, but...

    by Dugntex

This used to be much better. It works, and seems to be fairly accurate. But I am going to delete it because the amount of advertising is way over the top. I don’t mind ads, but having to click through 4 or 5 ads before taking my pulse and and more click through after just to get to the final reading is too much. But that’s just my opinion.

  • HeartRate

    by 👍😁😁😁😁😁😁

I really like this app, when ever you put your finger on the lens of your phone 📱 it would start the measure your heart rate, and this way I think is so cool another thing is the heat rate app is very accurate!👍😁 This is so cool you guys have to try this 👍👍👍👍👍😁 (Side note 📝, don’t breathe Heavily, just breathe normal, It will be more accurate this way😂😁🤩😎!!

  • Accurate

    by orlandomarine15

I like this application because is accurate and easy to use, I have introduced it to several friends and they love it; it is important to keep track of the heartbeat, running has helped me to lower my resting heart rate to an average of 44 beats per minute, running and bicycle riding will help you to lower the heat rate. Orlando

  • Good for tracking/ tagging

    by Nannapolis

This was an easy way to track some bothersome symptoms. There are pre-loaded tags & a few self defined tags too (could use a few more of those). I was able to track whether caffeine elimination helped my symptoms. When I got ready for my dr’s appt, I had a detailed record.

  • App was good once I was a 6 year user

    by omgitsbigjoe

At one time I paid for premium but had issues Went to free version and it was a daily. Check . My doctor like it as well for me because someday my pulse jump around a lot and I get sick. But just recently it became paid again and I can no longer afford to be a premium account. I would if they made basic one again for the people that alway stood by them

  • Very accurate

    by aboveaveragebob

I don’t write reviews often, but this app is very convenient and accurate. My wife is an RN and out of curiosity I had her check my heart rate while I tested this on my finger. The app and my wife and a discrepancy of one bpm. That’s negligible. Anyone wanting to keep track of their heart rate should grab this app without hesitation.

  • Simple and effective but gimmicky

    by allnicknamesaretakenthissucks

Its a great concept. Use your camera to detect heart rate. This app makes it really easy to measure your heart rate. Its very gimmicky though as it asks you to buy there premium plan and you can only get the good deal of you sign up the first time you use the app. They even use a timer. I hate these tricks that try to get you to buy things.

  • Very accurate

    by Sictenebris

Been using off and on for a year. Does seem to be accurate but about two months ago had an issue with the app crashing or not responding. Withholding the 5th star until I have used this latest version for a month.

  • Like but

    by ShoobieBuddy

I like the app and it’s pretty accurate. I have Afib and check my heart rate from time to time but I hate having to tap “remind me later” just to get to where I need to be. I don’t want to sign in even though I paid for this app and I don’t want the pop up to upgrade every time I use it. I hate pop ups on apps I have purchased. Overall it’s a good app.

  • Not anonymous!

    by 1 K shot

I downloaded the app and it requires you to register your email is you want to read your pulse more than once. Why would I want to just read my pulse once duh. I already have enough crap in my inbox. I don’t need my email sold more than it already has. Good try on the app though not good enough. I will check back to see if you take that email requirement off:)

  • Easy

    by Ew339:

I used to use an old fashion blood pressure device and I never could get an accurate reading on my Pulse. With this device I can take a quick check . It tells me that everything is OK almost instantly. This device is the easiest way to monitor your heart rate.

  • Great app

    by Sawmill crow

Had this app for a couple of years now and it’s great, I compared my heart rate with iPhone and elliptical heart rate monitor at the gym and it is fairly accurate, it gets a little annoying when all you want is a heart rate reading and your jammed with advertisements and upgrade options but that’s what you get when you use anything for free.

This App is awesome I check my blood pressure every morning and night and I know that I’m healthy and that I will be safe thank you because the doctor said I had high blood pressure and this made it so much better so I’m not nervous anymore

  • Good App but...

    by WILDROOTS podcast

As time has gone on I’ve experienced many good simple Apps, but as constant updates have become the new norm, with that the once good and simple apps have changed. When I first used this app a few years ago or so it was great! No need to create a log in account... but now, it’s fallen in-line with most apps these days, “Create a username, password, login/logout....” all unnecessary for the practicality of these apps. This often prevents the ability to utilize these apps as is unless your connected to service. It’s annoying and I have gotten rid of most of my apps because of this. All this app needs to offer is non-internet/database ‘heart monitoring’. That’s it! I will not be using this app.

    by Ken NH

Heart rate monitor is accurate. I have checked it at the cardiologist office.
