  • Account inactive or failed to register

    by Christy羊

I thought I was the only one who have the issue. Nope. Many people are experiencing the same problem. I usually bike to work and have been using incentrip for a while. It was good until one day I tried to login and it said my account was not active. Same thing happened to my friends. A lot of them received an error message saying registration failed. Some of them tried to use commuter connections account to login, but the app crashed. I did reach out to the customer service. They said they will resolve the issue ASAP, but it have been two weeks and nothing happened.

  • Too Much Running in Background

    by iPodTouchUser_Maryland

After I set location to always, after 24 hours the battery usage report said that the app had been running in the background for 23h39m of the prior 24 hours. Even Google Maps, which also has location set to always and has a timeline history of everywhere I’ve been and how I traveled there, only had 29m of usage for the prior 24 hours. It’s possible to track location well without being on 100% of the time—this app should be smarter about location tracking.

  • Problematic

    by williamgwade

So many issues. I take 10 transit commute trips each week at the same times (within 10 minutes or so) every day. Each week it refuses to accept some of those trips in the weekly goals section. Further, it will often award less points than normal because it decides my trip is non-commute Or it will award zero because it claims I didn't actually take the planned route. Either the app is incredibly buggy or written to intentionally behave like this so you can't accumulate points.

  • Nice Concept but Currently Fairly Flawed

    by Jewjsheoxh

The big current gripe is that they want you to be Green but not too Green. After you take two trips via bike you have to take CO2 emitting trips to get points. If you commute via bike or walking the app wants to then encourage you to drive or take Uber to the grocery store or pick up your kids. Can’t be too green just a little. It’s also very buggy and the developers often don’t respond. There are tons of improvements that should or could be made and there don’t seem to be many updates. Hope someone takes this idea which is a great one and does it right.

  • Trips not accurately logged

    by RequiredReviewer5

The concept is good, but the app has issues. It kinda can accurately track trips (and that’s w/ the more invasive location always on setting). The biggest issue is it labels all my trips as non-commutes even though my home and work address are entered, and I’m traveling during rush hour. This defeats the whole purpose. Given the app’s buggy, broken functionality, and overall design, it gives me pause that my location data is being secured properly. Uninstalling.

  • Avoid this app at all costs

    by ladybugdmv

They are wasting millions of taxpayer money on an app that is full of bugs and doesn’t work as advertised and they are well aware of it. I get credit for maybe 1 of 10 trips. They are clearly in it for the $$$$ and not to actually provide any value to the public. Also be aware this app is a battery hog and monitors your whereabouts 24/7, and not clear what they do with your information.

  • Is this app even complete?

    by Trebor_Retrac

I like the concept. It is like my health insurance company and their incentives to go to the gym and get a wellness exam. However, the app has real trouble routing multi-step trips. There are also unfinished sections of the app. ACCOUNT->points and levels-> “My Points History” as well as “how to earn points”. “Eco Driving” does nothing.

  • Need a bicycle option

    by bookman12345678

Walk and bike are not the same. The app seems to be geared toward walking and does not give credit for biking when selected. It recorded the trips but not the credits because I did not use the selected mode. Infuriating to be called a liar by an app.

  • Cannot create account

    by BobtiredofShowtime

App does not accept any password I enter. Cannot create account. Guess I’ll have to wait until this app actually works on iPhone.

  • Not a great app

    by BallsworthyCharles

My password meets the requirements and matches but the app won’t let me set up an account. I’ve tried various passwords. Not sure what is wrong with the app

  • Terrible reward redemptions

    by Less clumsy

Redeemed my points and received a gift card that was already past expired.

  • Asks for users social security numbers

    by Vaio2284

I received an email from the IncenTrip team saying that because I had exchanged my points for gift cards, I needed to fill out a tax document and send it back to them. This document requests personal information like your social security number, home address, and full name- to be sent back over email to a generic incenTrip email address. Understand that they may just be trying to comply with IRS, but it’s really creepy that an app is asking for this info and you have no idea who will have access to it.
