  • It's Killer..Will Soon Leave Others In The Dust Nov 22, 2010

This application has been very helpful to my family as we own a 1200 acre piece of property where we do the majority of our hunting. With 30 plus stands and shooting houses it helps us keep up with the locations and navigate to them! Often when the season is over it can be hard to remember where the lock-on stands and ladder stands are that need to be taken down. I don't want to lose another expensive piece of equipment. EVERY YEAR stand locations change, but with this application we NO LONGER have to plot out stand locations on a new ariel map. What a time saver!!! The response time of the developer is great and he has many things in store for improving the application. Four things we've discussed and on my wish list are: defining property lines, sharing property maps with non-app users, and emailing driving directions to guests since our land is located in a remote area, and intelligent stand selection programming based on weather conditions such as moon phases and wind. Awesome!!!

  • Great app if you have cell coverage Jun 13, 2011

I bought this app over a year ago and had fair cell service. I have since changed clubs and have decent cell service. I plotted the entire club in one day while riding around. I missed a few spots while I was out and added them later. The best part is I can share the locations with anyone. If they have ihunt I just send the an email and they have only the stand locations I selected. You can also upload to google earth. Lastly when you get turned around you just hit ME that is on the screen and it shows your location Great app. Well worth the money if you have fair cell coverage.

  • A must have for the serious hunter!! Dec 4, 2013

I've used a lot of wildlife management/scouting apps and this is by far the most comprehensive and easy to use. It takes a little time at first to enter your current info, but once you have, it's a breeze to add data from then on and you can really get a picture of what's happening on your property or lease. If you take the time to add all of your stands and ideal wind directions, the "planning" feature is extremely helpful and pretty awesome. I highly recommend the Dropbox add on if you'll be be using multiple devices or sharing data with other hunters.

Seems useful except it is dependent on Google maps which needs a data connection. There is very little cell coverage away from the major highways which means this app won't work and will only run the battery down.

Downloaded it to my android phone and it sucked! Everything is an add in for more money! All it tells you is a little weather data and if you want more info you have to pay for it. That's BS to me, it doesn't tell you that you have to buy anything else until you run the application.Would not recommend it!

  • Not worth the money! Nov 11, 2013

I was looking for an app that would cover the gamut on logging, tracking, and remembering my hunts and I was delighted to find that this app could do it. The problem is that $8.99 is the starting price to get the all the functions available you will need to spend another ~ $20 + of in app purchases. That's unacceptable.

  • Best Hunt/Planning/ Journal App Yet. Mar 6, 2012

I have been using multiple apps on my iPhone for hunting for the last 4 years. This one app is replacing them all. Before getting this app I would go through a weather app, a gps app, a solar moon table app, and try to remember which stand was best for wind direction. Using Ihunt Journal makes it all so easy whether I am planning a hunt or recording action in the field. The ability to export information to share with my hunting buddies and to sync with my iPad makes it even better. I would recommend this app highly

  • Great app, but ........ Jul 19, 2012

It would be nice if each enhancement or module wasn't an in-app purchase. Currently over $25 in addition to the $9 purchase price if you want all the features. As was mentioned before, it would be nice to not lose years of data. However the import, export, and Dropbox feature adds another $5. IMHO this could be a built-in feature and not an add-on.

Not bad. Definitely not the one all be all app for hunting, but worst case scenario, it gives you something to do in your stand.

The GPS feature will drain your battery fast rendering it useless in the field

I use this ap and it makes my hunting experience that much better. Just wish they could somehow make drawing lines or borders simpler and also make observation reports easier. I hunt on a big game ranch and we see 30-40 deer at a feeder in less than 2 hours. It can be difficult inputing that much info.

The export to CSV costs more money on a $9 dollar app. Should come as part of the app based on the description. Just a warning to really investigate before you spend your money. I wish I would have.
