I just heard that this show is #1 with the 18-39 group. Well I am 70 and hubby is 65 and we have listened to Joseph for years- he disappeared from radio for a while and we looked for him. We were ecstatic when he returned. We try to get our kids to listen but they somehow think it must be for old folks. I share many of the great, funny, and odd music we get to hear on this show with our kids. They are always surprised at how much they enjoy the songs. So I hope they eventually tune in. We truly love the older and truly country music and are glad Joseph turns us on to the likes of John Prine and grandpa’s cough medicine. Artists we never heard of and we thought we knew all the good country artists. We love you Joseph. I really enjoy your Alaska shows as we have a grandson in Glennallen, AK. And Josh is a great co-host. There was only one or two shows we tuned out of - Beatles. I am a huge fan of Beatles and crew- but not on my Sunday morning country show. Mick Jagger, however, was cool with his blues- ness. Anyway- your show is a bright spot in my week. I especially appreciated your show to bring us up from our pandemic downer. I work full time as a practitioner serving the homeless and uninsured/underinsured and that show today will get me through a tough week. Who can’t smile to Sachmo, Chuck Beery, and John Denver. Love you, man. Keep it coming.

This app is great for listening to music. I love all the iHeart decades I listen to them all. You finally added iHeart 10. Ya. I also love listening to Valentine in the morning best morning show out there in my opinion of course. I do wish the full paid version was 10$ like apple’s. But I keep listening to the free version until that happens. Now to the only complaint I have you introduced podcasts okay I had never listened to nor cared about them until you started playing them then I found ComicBook nation and I was hooked. I have also found some really cool “radio dramas” but and here’s the problem I cannot listening to them in order with out opening the app after every podcast and selecting the next one otherwise it plays them in reverse order every time. Who wants to listen to a story backwards? I have played with the little arrows at the top of the podcast but that just reorders them on the list not the actual playing order. So I have unsubscribed from all of the podcasts that I am not caught up on until you fix is. Im not getting a ticket for being on my phone while driving just so I can hear a story I order. Love the app please fix this. Thank you for all you great work.

I ❤ iheartradio! I listen to Christian music and their library is outstanding. I just upgraded to the premium so I can make playlists. Im already making Christmas playlists. Also I can use bluetooth in the car and listen to all my favorite songs. It's so easy to use and find what you're looking for. I am on this app all day. I have found so much music that I didn't hear before and now love. It's so much nicer to pay for a monthly subscription and get all the music I need than buy it all.

I would have given it a five star BC I simply love being too listen to my home rock station when I'm working BC I work out of town most of time. But for some crazy reason lately it has started at 100% volume, even just now I got a head start on it and began working it down to about 60 % for it just to jump right back full blast even though I was holding down on volume button. Now I really can't explain how out why it would be turning down and almost to the half mark just for it to jump to the full volume while I'm still holding on the volume but this is not some thing that I can take or tolerate at 615 am nor will my boss's or work mates at this time in the morning and hell it could give some one a heart attack when u go from nor hearing a thing where a needle could be able to be heard hitting the floor. But you could say every one is awake today after this Bluetooth box going off. Please let me know what could and out can be done and if it's anything to do on my part in really sorry for not given the extra star but I had the volume working down for it to start over. Thanks and please have this fixed or fixed for me. Have no complaints about anything else so everyone download this app and listen to your favorite tubes so day and all the time for free.

I was charged $5.99 for a subscription that I was “tricked” into signing up for. I canceled the subscription within minutes of discovering that I had signed up for it, but ended up being charged anyway. I went to the online help on the iHeartRadio app to verify that my subscription was canceled and there is no unsubscribe button to hit. I then emailed iHeartRadio and received this response. “iHeartRadio Customer Support does not internally handle subscriptions processed through Apple. However, if you need to cancel your subscription, you can do so by following the procedure below:” I folloedthe procedure “below” only to get to a dead end. I sure hope I don’t get charged again, I guess I will have to open up a dispute through my credit card company at this point. In the future I will be very very careful what buttons that I tap. It’s a shame that the app gets updated and changes around so much that it is unfamiliar if you don’t use it every single day. Through the many updates I have also lost my favorite stations and my saved stations, and it gets really frustrating.

Im in the middle of my trial period and there are several issues. The app will randomly quit, I can never get it to play for more than a few minutes when using Bluetooth on my speaker box or in my car, I always have to restart the app. I don't see a difference from the free version. I still get tons of ads and most are iheart related so I know it's not ads from the radio stations. The app will quit in the middle of a song but when I restart it immediately after it quit an ad will play first.

  • Was great on Windows Phone, new web app version six Dec 10, 2017

    By Nominally Normal
Loved this app on my Windows Phone, installed it when I was forced to switch to iPhone (which has been an inferior user experience in almost every way - it can’t even do autocorrect as well as the WP, but I digress), and it was pretty similar throughout the fall of 2017... logged in today, December, to find everything changed. I can’t figure out how to get to my favorite artist-based station (can find artist in search, but there doesn’t seem to be a station option anymore?) can’t find the Recently Played Songs list once I’m playing a station. It’s fine to change things, but not in such an extreme way that it appears so nonsensical to even fairly on-top-of-things users that they can’t easily find the features that are important to them. I don’t know if it was a web app before, but it must be because I don’t recall downloading an update and everything is just a little off, not polished and smooth like a native app would be. I expected that sort of thing on a minority platform like WP, but it’s really disappointing to have a worse experience on a brand new iPhone. Anyway, this app is in need of some major organizing/UI changes before it can match the user experience of previous versions. If I have to put in hours curating my stations (which looks like the direction this is going), as opposed to having a variety of stations that are good, just need minor tweaks to be great, I’d might as well use Pandora!

Pretty good the problem i have lately is that the station cuts out. It doesn't matter which station, it just stops playing. So I have to go back into the app to hit play again. I wonder if it would happen if I was a paid subscriber? I listen to enough of their comnercials and support their advertisers. I have gotten so sick of it that I listen to podcast commercial free.

The fact that this app will unilaterally play over 2 dozen 'listen to this podcast' and 'here's the top 3 songs from X artist' at a random time is incredibly annoying! I don't grudge commercial time, but none of them are actual services or good, just self promotion. Then I miss the actual content...

  • Subscription is too expensive Oct 6, 2018

    By StotkaGirls
Almost but not quite 5🌟, would have kept my monthly subscription but it’s way too costly. For just radio I thought, but considering it’s only $15 or so it’s not that bad. It would be great for a disc jockey (DJ) or a wedding event you can actually set up your own play lists so it can just continue playing continuously. Unless you feel the need to have the DJ interact with you like your in a pub or event to interact with the crowd. I’m sure that if you had issues to where you didn’t have a DJ show up for work then this would work for most small town or small scale clubs that’s holding only 50/75 people or so. I will say that most of the time I am able to find just about anything I want to listen when I had the subscription. And I didn’t have to listen to commercials. It’s really nice cause if you are a big music fan who buys a lot of tracks per month then I would just personally purchase a subscription to the iHeartRadio app. It’s just that cool. But being that I don’t buy that much music and I just couldn’t see spending that kind of money per month.

  • Great but one issue... Jun 4, 2019

    By Reviewer errrrr
I am completely loving this app. Features that I love is that it plays in the background of any other app. This is the best especially when using Waze in the car. I can still get the verbal directions from waze and the volume of iHeartRadio goes lower but doesn’t shut off! Also, when I close the app mid podcast, the podcast restarts automatically upon returning to the app. This also continues playing when minimized and when the phone is locked. The only feature that I would love to see change is the order in which the podcasts play. Instead of going up the list, example #4 to #5, the podcasts will play going down the list from #5 to #4. This means that you have to physically go into the app and click on the next podcast on the list. This is something that I hate doing, particularly when driving as it’s dangerous! I would love for iHeartRadio to fix this issue so that I can play a podcast list, and let it run up the list without needing to reopen the app and physically tap the next on the list. Besides this issue, I love this app for podcasts!

  • I love the content, but not the updates Dec 17, 2017

I first got iHeartRadio on my old ipod on ios6 and I loved it. They had a setting where I could explore music or listen to mostly the same stuff. They did away with that and I miss it. Since then they’ve made the sleep timer harder to access, and everytime I open the app I’m baraged with an ad to try to upgrade to a paid version. I don’ mind seeing that maybe once a week, but I’m using other apps more because I get this annoying self add every time I open the app. It’s also harder to find the most recent radio stations I listen to. It keeps getting harder and harder with the new updates. Lastly, I love the play on start-up feature, but lately it doesn’t work (even when turned on in the settings) probably because of the ad I have to close out of. I’ve dug out my old ipod and I now mostly listen to iHeartRadio from that with whatever version ios6 can handle

  • So many songs I never wanted to hear Dec 20, 2017

    By LusitaniaAngel313
So the only reason why I’m not ranking this 5 stars is my own favorites station. Before I had a pretty finite selection and I was cool with that! Now I’m flooded by songs I don’t really care for and it seems if I thumb them down, they return days later (example being Uptown Funk which I completely despise)! While yes the station will play some of the songs I do care for, once they switch to what they THINK I like, good luck getting my songs to play again. Also it annoys me when the same station flat out quits and won’t play anything! Like it ran out of content! Now I will admit this station has pulled some interesting surprises like pulling Jump by Rihanna to the station which made me happy as can be. I still listen wholeheartedly because where else can I blast CENTURIES into my ears? ;)

  • The iHeart Radio app has 2 major flaws Jul 6, 2020

    By acetraffic
I have used the iHeart Radio app since 2013, and have found it reliable and very simple to use. Its simplicity is my favorite “feature”. Even a year ago “ I would had given it 4 or 5 stars. But 2 problems have shown up that have reduced its rating to 3 stars at best, and going down from there. The worst is the 30 second video ad rolls that show up at inopportune and random times after a radio station is selected. These long interludes are infuriating, especially when using the app while driving. I realize that advertisments are a necessary evil for keeping many of the apps free, but 30 seconds is overkill, especially video, and that is on top of the numerous ads on the radio stations themselves. And the frequency of these ad rolls seems to be increasing. The second flaw is related to podcasts on iHeart, heavily promoted recently on the app. I tend to listen to part of a podcast and then come back to it later. Several times the podcast has lost its place and starts over when I return, defeating the purpose of using this app for podcasts. And once this happened right after I endured a 30 second ad roll. I have since abandoned using iHeart for podcasts, and instead use Apple Podcasts or Stitcher.

  • Good App for streaming Jun 5, 2019

    By JLChaney's iPhone
It really is a good app. On the plus side, it is efficient with band usage if you have a limited internet plan. It is stable, with good buffering (I have lousy internet in my area so this is vital to me). It has a lot of content, including podcasts galore that can be downloaded. The minus, for which I deduct the stars has been to do with the ads. (I know, I could subscribe, but the monthly is too high for what I am listening too. Maybe some day someone can develop some sort of tiered subscriptions for those of us who just listen to limited content). I listen to a 24 hr news show with commentary. I grew up listening to KFI640 Los Angeles every morning. I don’t begrudge iheart for slipping in a couple of ads here and there, but you step right over THE PROGRAM ITSELF! Your ads should step on top of their ads, not the program. I want the whole news, not just the commentary. That’s what I chose, and it infuriates me when you cut the program off for a crappy 7-11 add, for which I will NEVER set foot in as my blood pressure rises, every time I see the sign and am reminded it’s going to INTERRUPT the program I am listening to in the morning. Iheart could program the timing of their ads better than this.

  • Good App (Usually...) Jan 5, 2018

    By Rosemaryadventure23
Edit: It seems like all of the other problems I list below are gone now, due to the fact that I can’t get the app to play ANY music now. None of my stations work, they all constantly have a loading symbol, and where the artist’s other songs/info are, it says, “Artist Profile is not available at this time”. The app is completely useless to me at this point because it doesn’t do anything, and this started today only a few hours ago. This can’t be a phone problem because I have the latest iOS on a brand new iPhone 8. I’m hoping this will be fixed soon. I've used this app for a few years, and I've discovered many new artists and songs through this app. However, I've been experiencing a few problems lately. My biggest problem is that sometimes the app will refresh in the middle of a song, and not just pause it, but get rid of the song completely. I'm not sure if I can fix this in my phone settings or if it's an app issue, but this has never happened before. Another issue is that some ads with sound play at the same time as a song, which is obviously annoying. Overall, it is a good app and does what it promises, but with a few bugs.

I can listen to my favourite radio station. Please stop advertising the 3 day trial. The free version is good enough. Edit: Now from 4, to 3 star. The music isnt live, but off sync from live. Like I said, free trial ads pop up. And commercials are based on my location, not my live radio. Other than that, this is useful to play my station.

Something odd is going on the the ads. I'll get the same ad 2 or 3 times in a row. Ads jump in the middle of news or traffic reports from the radio station. Not sure if the app is just randomly spawning ads wherever it feels like, or if it may have something to do with the connection. I use iheartradio in combination with waze, which is a great feature. However, it is frustrating when the app covers over the radio station's content with ads.

Great for streaming radio and podcasts, but I finally found out it was taking up TEN GIGABYTES of space on my phone, which explains the persistent "dangerously low on space" warnings the system kept giving me. I wasn't downloading any podcasts, so I can't figure out why so much space, but taking up that much space is inexcusable. I finally cleared the data and have tons of space now, including updates for 32 other apps that were backlogged due to low space.

While it used to be a good experience, the removal of the alarm clock feature has made this app near useless to me. There was only a few days notice that the feature would be removed with no immediate replacement which I find pretty inexcusable for such a large company. I don't plan on keeping this app installed, as the alarm feature is what I used nearly every single day, and starting today I had to rush to find a replacement alarm clock, unable to wake up to my favorite morning show. It's sad

I am very upset that Iheart got rid of the Alarm option. I used it for years to wake up in the morning before work. Hope they bring it back since clock radios are pretty much obsolete anymore. My one star is because of the loss of the alarm clock other then that, i like being able to access radio stations from accross the U.S A. Bring back the alarm clock. I dont understand the reasons behind the change.

I'd love to tell you what I think of the app, but it doesn't seem to work. I will review my experience. The app opens to a lovely white screen with a tasteful red border along the top edge. Then it switches to a very calm and soothing black screen. All in all, both screens are nice, but the black screen is my personal favorite. Although both screens were nice, I still give only one star since I was expecting a bit more from a radio app.
