Tada! The new HCMtoGo mobile app is here! Before you jump in and download it be sure to take a look at the following.
*IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR NEW HCMtoGO USERS*
BEFORE YOU LOGIN - employees and managers:
• If your administrator has not setup the new HCMtoGO app for your organization, you will NOT be able to get access. Please check with your manager or company admin to get access to the new app.
• When logging in with HCMtoGO you will need to select the region you are using as well as the Company Shortname (The unique Identification number your company administrator needs to provide to you.)
• After you enter that information you will be prompted to enter in your Company, Username, and Password. If you get stuck on this your COMPANY ADMIN can help you out.
• Companies need to be using approval workflows to process To Do Items.
• Supported Timesheet Profiles are Bulk Hours and Start/End (All Days) only.
• Administrator should provide their company’s Short Name to users for login.
Now that you are ready to join HCMtoGO here are some of the awesome things you can do within the new app to enhance your human resource needs:
• Check and/or edit your timesheets for accuracy
• Submit and view time off requests
• Check vacation/sick balances
• Enroll in benefits and view existing benefits
• Check your schedule
• View pay stubs and manage direct deposits.
• Check your schedule and, if enabled, swap shifts with peers
Your employer must have the HCMtoGO software configured for mobile use. Contact your system administrator for more details.
Key things to know as an administrator:
• Users need to have permission to access the new app via their security profile.
• Users need to be permissioned to have access via their UI Preferences widget within their security profile.
• Companies need to be using approval workflows to process To Do Items.
• Supported Timesheet Profiles are Bulk Hours and Start/End (All Days) only.
• Administrator should provide their company’s Short Name to users for login.
• Basic Authentication with SSO is not currently supported

RIDICULOUS RUNAROUND.
Jun 25, 2021 By Denise MilliosI have had this app for 2 wks. It worked fine for the first 10 days. Now it is mysteriously locked and I can't clock in-and-out of work. When I went to customer service chat, they wanted to charge me $5 to fix their own app. Ridiculous. When I went to post a comment to ask for help, it kicked me out and said I had made "too many attempts" (on the first try) and would not post my "negative" comment. Also ridiculous. Your app is subpar, and your customer service is below that. more -

Every big work organization should have this for their employees! Even down to the small details to see exactly how long you’ve work; down to the amount of days is just so cool to me. If I could give a bigger star rating I 100% would. I have heard of other employees having difficulties with this app. I’m not sure if it’s due to the user or our HR but I personally have had no problems. Not to mention requiring to update your password every so often is great. It’s a hassle to do but they do what they can safety of your information and I love it 😃 more -

Our business is so much more efficient with features like PTO requests, missing and chanes to punches and shift swaps using the app. We are able to spend more time on employee satisfaction versus mundane tasks. The app is very secure with face ID allowing seamless login with GEO fencing to prevent time theft. The technology is way more advanced than any other platform. more -
Buggy and insane menus

Admittedly our company uses very few of the plentiful features, but it’s wild that every navigation menu item is buried with in at least one collapsable menu item. Usually by the same name. (My Time > Timesheets > Timesheet (other options in that menu include “My Timesheets” why not just one button. Ultimately I appreciate that I can clock in and out on the home page (unlike many other time tracking apps weirdly) But the organization and prioritization of everything else in the app is really frustrating. more -

After tapping "continue offline", I am usually kicked out and forced to log back in. I sent an email to support with a screenshot of the issue. I appreciate any help! more -

Biometric issue

I was able to log in using biometrics but now I can’t, there is no option on the log on screen to select facial recognition. It is enabled in the settings but is missing on the log on screen. Please fix!! more -

Just feels like programmers made the app without using any real human being feedback. Has always felt this way. You constantly have to change your password. The security feels higher than my banks, which may be appropriate for an employer who has all your personal info to protect, but for an employee that just wants to clock in and out, there is no need to force password changes. I have other gripes more -

As a user, I’ve had more then a few instances (including right before writing this) where I opened this app to get a “server is unavailable” message, only to then force close and re-open the app and be able to connect and log in just fine. These kinds of things can potentially make a difference in punch in/out times. more

Does this work?

I can’t move around in the app., it freezes up, I can’t clock out or it doesn’t register that I clocked in when I certainly did and I will clock out and tells me I can’t because I just clocked out when I hadn’t! Sometimes unusual or wrong pages come up and I can’t get them to go away. Other times I can’t get the app to work at all. I deleted the app and reinstalled it but I still have problems with it. more

Clunky interface is confusing, crashes between opens, overall very hard to use

My first reaction was that the interface was extremely hard to use compared to the app we switched from and was way more intuitive, way more user friendly, it took me and everyone else I work with WAY longer than it should have to simply find our schedule. Information that should be easy to access is hidden through menus and tabs, maybe that’s all customizable to some point but the default UI would be way better if it was simplified. That’s my biggest gripe, and I hope the developers working on this app consider the non technical average joe and simplify the interface. The app crashes between opens. I understand logging out after use, but the app crashes and after each login I have to manually close the program each time. Minor inconvenience, but this app is riddled with minor inconveniences that add up across our company while we are adjusting to what is right now a very cumbersome app. more -

The home screen is useless as the info could be placed on the home screen instead of going through the small corner to make everything much easier. You should also add a feature that automatically deducts 30 minutes for lunch. It is very difficult in construction to make sure you clock out for 30 minutes exactly then clock back in. The pages load slow so I've been getting less time than I actually put into the job. more -

Manipulating and navigating the software is super difficult. Requesting days software has a lot of glitches and is super confusing and not user friendly. The app seems stuck in Betta trails with plenty of bugs and not user friendly at all. If I could give half a star I would or if I could cut a penny is 8 pieces I would give the developers & app one piece. more -
Not great , not even good

I have chosen “no thanks” 20 times trying to get that request to go away. I would not give a 5 star rating for this app. I might have given 3 stars but now its 1 star for that reason. The app itself is poorly done and difficult to navigate. The headings given do not describe well what you are looking for. I’ve used this app since January and every time I’m looking for info such as what my PTO accumulation rate is, or how to correct a punch because YOUR server is down, I have to search and search through menu options that do not describe what I’m looking for. So although you embezzled a 5 star rating from me, I’m here to give you 1 star and wish I could give zero stars more -

You have to go through quite the process to get the information you want. I think it is frustrating to find anything you want. Notifications during Covid layoff were suppose to be shown. We were suppose to have something that showed there was a notification, which none ever showed. Finding the notification was time consuming and difficult. more -

The website functionality on mobile is actually a better experience and I find myself more often than not frustrated and closing the app again, to use the Firefox mobile browser version which never seems to fail. On top of that until I was willing to rate the app it would ask me upon every single visit to the home screen. more -

Navigating the app is not user friendly and has to be shown multiple times just to vaguely remember how to do something again. Terrible convoluted app that needs a lot more work. If a clock in app requires a hands on presentation, then you need to go back and redesign it. All of us using it are working in the field. We don't need an over complicated system just to clock in and out. Update: still terrible more -
Difficult to use and outdated
May 2, 2020 By Colton_HMy job recently switched to using HCMtoGo, and none of us like the app. The schedule is very difficult to find hidden under multiple tabs. The timesheet gives decimal points for your hours, so you have to do math to figure out how many hours and minutes you’ve actually worked. This has caused multiple of my coworkers to go over hours because of how confusingly this app is set up. Please take away all the multiple tabs and make the hours show in minutes and hours. All of my coworkers are great with computers and technology, but this app challenges even the most computer literate person. We have never had any issue using the previous app, TSheets! This app could learn many things from TSheets! more -
Absolutely Confusing
Apr 24, 2022 By Shane198634I absolutely hate this app. Worse thing my job did was switch to it. The app won’t load unless you remember to force close it after each use. Setting up direct deposit is a headache X 10. If you switch banks or have 2 banks good luck trying to get them set up as it’s a nightmare with constant error messages saying only 1 direct deposit account can be set up at a time or some other kind of error. Why you can’t just go to your direct deposit section and click edit and change your account info and call it a day is beyond me. If you can avoid this app, I highly recommend you AVOID it at all cost. more

What I do not like is that when you are clocking in, it does not save location preferences. You have to type it in each time. It also does not give a summary of your clocked in hours, so when I am looking at how many hours I have in my 40 day work week, I have to add them up individually. more -

I have to admit I was a little intimidated when I had to process payroll for the 1st time all by myself. But their written instructions/manual was user friendly and to the point. I completed each step as directed and I got through it successfully! Our only issue has been with the facial Recognition Timeclock. I still can't get that up and running. more -
Better than my bank app

Scrolling up and down and turning a phone from side-to-sides needed frequently to view data. Users unfamiliar with the regular screen options could easily get frustrated with the app version. more

Even when employees are.around for awhile and get experience using it they tell.me they have a tough time with it. Even the different items I have to use are not always easy to find, even when I have used said item, several times. It just doesn't seem to.put things in obvious aces, but instead hides them. It's a great idea and makes so much sense, but the user experience is poor at best. more -

HCMtoGo is glitchy and slow with iPhone SE

We use this app to clock in on a desktop. I’m not sure if the option for a WiFi clock in on our phones exists, but that would be much easier and more hygienic. Navigating through your own data in this app , at least on an iPhone SE, is not intuitive and redundant. more -
Why I gave you two stars

Navigating thru the various sections is a crap shoot at best. When I want to check my schedule for the next week or pay period I often get re-directed to another page that is NOT what I need. It might be a good idea if you have a user that relies on this app help you make it more user friendly. more -
When programmers are allowed to design a user interface
May 27, 2020 By e_wolffThe software works, most of the time, but that’s about the best I can say for it. It’s not at all intuitive. I’ve used it for over six months now and I still can’t find what I need most of the time. There’s virtually no consistency between the various screens and how the reports work so what works on one screen doesn’t necessarily work on another one. The same controls and settings will often appear in different places on different screens. Numbers that the app should be calculating in real-time (like how many hours I’ve worked today when I’m still punched in and my week-to-date hours worked) don’t. Even after you punch out, today’s hours don’t show up in your totals until tomorrow. This app could easily be SO much better. But it’s not. :-( more

The home screen is useless as the info could be placed on the home screen instead of going through the small corner to make everything much easier. You should also add a feature that automatically deducts 30 minutes for lunch. It is very difficult in construction to make sure you clock out for 30 minutes exactly then clock back in. The pages load slow so I've been getting less time than I actually put into the job. more -

Manipulating and navigating the software is super difficult. Requesting days software has a lot of glitches and is super confusing and not user friendly. The app seems stuck in Betta trails with plenty of bugs and not user friendly at all. If I could give half a star I would or if I could cut a penny is 8 pieces I would give the developers & app one piece. more -

I have chosen “no thanks” 20 times trying to get that request to go away. I would not give a 5 star rating for this app. I might have given 3 stars but now its 1 star for that reason. The app itself is poorly done and difficult to navigate. The headings given do not describe well what you are looking for. I’ve used this app since January and every time I’m looking for info such as what my PTO accumulation rate is, or how to correct a punch because YOUR server is down, I have to search and search through menu options that do not describe what I’m looking for. So although you embezzled a 5 star rating from me, I’m here to give you 1 star and wish I could give zero stars more -

Navigating the app is not user friendly and has to be shown multiple times just to vaguely remember how to do something again. Terrible convoluted app that needs a lot more work. If a clock in app requires a hands on presentation, then you need to go back and redesign it. All of us using it are working in the field. We don't need an over complicated system just to clock in and out. Update: still terrible more -
Difficult to use and outdated
May 2, 2020 By Colton_HMy job recently switched to using HCMtoGo, and none of us like the app. The schedule is very difficult to find hidden under multiple tabs. The timesheet gives decimal points for your hours, so you have to do math to figure out how many hours and minutes you’ve actually worked. This has caused multiple of my coworkers to go over hours because of how confusingly this app is set up. Please take away all the multiple tabs and make the hours show in minutes and hours. All of my coworkers are great with computers and technology, but this app challenges even the most computer literate person. We have never had any issue using the previous app, TSheets! This app could learn many things from TSheets! more -
Absolutely Confusing
Apr 24, 2022 By Shane198634I absolutely hate this app. Worse thing my job did was switch to it. The app won’t load unless you remember to force close it after each use. Setting up direct deposit is a headache X 10. If you switch banks or have 2 banks good luck trying to get them set up as it’s a nightmare with constant error messages saying only 1 direct deposit account can be set up at a time or some other kind of error. Why you can’t just go to your direct deposit section and click edit and change your account info and call it a day is beyond me. If you can avoid this app, I highly recommend you AVOID it at all cost. more -

It takes anywhere from two to five minutes just to open the app. When clocking in or out, it doesn't always give the confirmation message, not does it always record the clock in or out. It cannot handle shifts that go past midnight. This app has lost over 20 hours of my time in the past two pay periods because of these issues. It's garbage. more -

Needs to be streamlined to allow the average person to quickly and easily ask for time punch modifications and pto requests. Always reverts to the "Start" menu, and you have to switch to the "home" menu. The software engineers need some average joe QC. It would vastly increase the functionality of the app. Just too much going on. more -

My home screen or whatever appears when I log in has changed. Not sure why, I am not able to figure out how to fix it.
