It's a cute way to get to know your partner on a deeper level. It would be great to see the answers they submitted as well regarding what they answered for you, not just whether or not you were correct about them. The multiple choice options would be great to see as well because we do forget what the options were when we are reviewing the answers...There is also a slight glitch, when I want to comment on a question we have both answered, I select the "let him know button" and a message box pops up. After I type my message, most of the time I am unable to scroll to the "send" button and it is hidden by the keyboard. Also, the write your own answer does not work most of the time and you are forced to pick one that doesn't apply. It would also be nice to be able to edit answer once you submit (I mean right after you hit submit ( I guess if the partner hasn't answered yet, since that would mess up the matching) A few times I have selected the wrong answer and I wasn't able to go back to change it. Other than the few issues above, we both really enjoy using the app and we use it daily! We are going through a bit of a rough patch, and it is helping us with communication! Thanks for the app!!!

We've been playing for a while now, it's good for the most part. I think it should offer points for completing challenges, and maybe give some hands on quiz questions and not so much about past experiences with exes (IMHO) I don't think anyone truly wants to be reminded of their past and compared with their current relationship.

Being in a long distance relationship with no physical contact yet since we met and different time zones, Happy Couple has been the best of all the other apps we tried. Of course it is not perfect (we don’t expect it to be perfect), but it’s an awesome way to know and understand each other better using questions that we would not think of easily. Our primary purpose is not to get points but to grow together, so we understood that the app system would only count the same answers as a perfect match. And I guess there is also a limit as to what type of questions they can come up with. Everyone is different and expects differently, that is why the app always requests suggestions which is good cause it means they’re working at getting better. I think that even in our fifth year or more of relationship we will still be using this app because we love it. We have no pressure of performance or so. It is a good way to always stay on track in your relationship and make sure you are not taking your other for granted. But something I would like is to get tangible rewards😋 other than questions or challenges. Rewards like restaurant tickets, trips and so. Everytime DiCaprio’s face comes up with the congrats you moved to the next level, I’m like yeah where’s the reward?😅 lol I love the app anyway.

It's amazing! It really helped me and my partner to understand each other. Advices that you get there are really great and it's like you have your own couple therapy! The best thing is that you get them randomly. I recommend it to every couple in every relationship phase :) <3

This app does provide alot of insight. How much is up to you.. In general the questions are free, and vary. You can purchase different ones as well. The app provides daily tips, relationship advice which is quite useful. Seeing how your partner answered questions you answered is excellent. It will get conversations started.. lol. However, my partner and I agree the questions can be alittle challenging, and sometimes confusing with tricky, similar answers. Give it a try.

Used to be good... Too long loading times now, try typing a response and the button to send won't register, same when adding a gif as a response to a questions answer and just froze on me while I was transitioning from question 4 to 5. An error message appeared on the screen and no way to deviate from it. I was forced to close the app. Very unstable now... Too bad, was fun while it lasted.

A lot of bugs and zero contact from support (despite promising a 48h window). Often can't dispute mismatches (one of which was the exact same one word answer). The questions recycle too so it's a bit frustrating getting the same stuff over and over. It's a good concept and could be great, just needs a bit of work

Me and my boyfriend couldn't even get logged in and connected, so I have honestly no clue how good this app could've been. Every time he tried to create a profile he had "network issues" even though the wifi was fine, and when we managed to get both of our accounts working we had no way of connecting them without starting all over and getting the same problems again. Really disappointed by this app.

• Constantly begging for money, survey rewards not working. Oct 17, 2017

I understand apps are here to make money but some are too aggressive, this app is a good example. I don’t mind watching ads or taking surveys to “earn” use of the app but too often you spend time taking a survey and then have way through to says “no thanks we don’t need your input” and it doesn’t give a credit for the survey. If you are considering this one, I would move on and try something else. *shrug* UPDATE: after a week of use the app Is OK but I am very frustrated by the dishonesty of the app and it’s surveys. One of the ways to “earn” questions is to take surveys. When you choose a survey to take, it estimates the time it takes to complete the survey and the number of questions it earns. Totally ignore these because hey are not accurate. For example, I picked a survey 3 minutes long and rewarding 2 questions. After a half dozen questions about me, my career, my salary ... I am directed to a second survey about dental work. At least 10 minutes of very details multi-part questions into that survey, it ends and I get a thank you message. I am then redirected to a new website where I am told that hey already have enough responses and that my survey is not needed. WHAT?! I’ve already taken the *#^{% survey. Get ready to repeat this often. I did complete one survey for reward questions but mostly you do not get rewarded. Very much a scam, spending a bunch of time and getting nothing in return.

• A great way to connect, with a minor issue Jun 11, 2019

By Bella.Boo_AH
Me and my partner are long distance. We see each other once a year and whatnot. Even if you’re not in a long distance relationship, the app helps you to connect on the small things instead of the overall big picture of the relationship. It helps you get to know your partner better and start conversations while giving you possible advice and good, fun challenges to keep the relationship alive. Overall this app builds a stronger, more driven relationship. I feel much more connected to my partner than I ever have. For my complaints.... When watching an ad for an extra question, I don’t receive my extra question until about an hour later, sometimes even never at all. Yes, I do watch the whole ad. Secondly, it takes a long time for the matches to appear on the question screen, to see if you mismatched or matched. It’s fun for the wait, but I’d like it to be a bit faster.

I love this app. It is a great way to know your partner better. They also anaswer the same questions as you but sometimes not at the sametime. You answer the questions for yourself then answer what you think your partner would say. Its ok if you wrong because thats what this app does it helps bring you two together. Without being ackward asking the quedtions or trying to remember what you want to ask this app does that for you. Its a must for both of you to download and get to know each other.

• The new ads do not support happy couples May 9, 2017

By ljshape
I agree with the reviewer below. I've been a very happy and regular Happy Couple user for at least a year now. I certainly don't mind ads paying for my experience, but the first one I saw after updating the app had the title, "Why men leave the 'perfect' woman. What every woman needs to know". That's divisive and it made me feel icky. The second one was about Trump - certainly nothing romantic about that. You definitely need to screen advertisers better. A couple more of those experiences and I'll likely stop using the app. Its charm won't outweigh its annoyance. Here's what I've been enjoying about HC: 1. My new husband and I play nearly every day. It's a nice way to feel connected and know that we thought about each other outside of the routine of the day. 2. It has made me appreciate how compatible we are in myriad small ways, as our answers frequently match. I love that. 3. It has created interesting new topics for discussion on dates. 4. Initially we were partly motivated by the gamification and wanting to increase levels. That helped drive the habit. Now we're at some high level (26, I think) so that's no longer very interesting. The reward is just the good feeling it gives me when I start the app and see my husband has played, and to see his answers. Which is why if the ads give me a bad feeling, it's no longer something I'll use. Hope that helped!

This app helps couples address issues in a good way. It asks questions about your relationship that you may not have thought about, which can strengthen your bond. I gave 4 out of 5 because it is limited in responses due to the 4- option multiple choice set up. At times, none of the answers match mine, but if you write in your own, you won't earn a point. Points aside, this is a good app to help your relationship.

• Great Service, but excessive sexual content Mar 21, 2020

By Oliver Klosauff
A great service for me and my girlfriend now fiance dating long-distance (internationally). Helps bring up conversation topics that wouldn't arise naturally and helps us communicate better. But honestly, I report 2/5 questions each day for just be incredibly stupid sex questions. 'If you could have a one-night stand and keep it a secret from your SO, would you? (Already have/Yes, looking/Yea, maybe/No, too risky)' no 'I love my SO and wouldn't hurt them in this way' option or similar questions related to cheating, fetishes, etc. like they took everything straight from Freud or a survey of 14 year olds. Plus all the advertised Question Packs are sex related - Kama Sutra, sex positions, etc. so the creators are trying to capitalize on 'horny people spend money'. I have recommended this app only to close friends in my same demographic (mid 20's) and none of them have taken me up on it.

• Really fun, needs updating Dec 10, 2018

By ChapstikAddict
This app started out amazing; it’s super fun, and I am still obsessed with playing it. However, it does need some updating and proof-reading. A lot of the questions have typo’s in them, or are worded strangely. In addition, a lot of the questions are just the same questions re-worded. It could definitely use a creative team to make up some new questions. In addition, it would make it way more fun if you and your partner received the same questions at the same time, so you could actually see the answers right away. There are some questions that I answered months ago that have still never been answered by my partner. In addition, I wish you would release the answers to both people for both sides of the question. Instead, you constantly have to swap phones to see the results of the other person’s side.

• Was good until cheating ads Nov 7, 2017

By misbmc
Updated: I received an email and I opened it on my break at work, to see sexual positions pop up. I closed it immediately!! I didn’t ask for explicit sexual images to any email. The ads are off-putting. One was entitled "Is it really cheating?" which popped up when trying to have fun with my spouse and answer questions simultaneously. That is not how you encourage a Happy Couple. Get a clue who your audience is, app designers! :) Otherwise fun so far. Extremely frustrating to set up. This was mentioned when I saw it on a website that recommended the app. It was very true. Only one iPhone person should install and the other needs to wait for the invite or it will not connect. Also, it is really too easy to click on earning free questions instead of Skip. To earn free questions, you have to do surveys are other things. I didn't want to click that but the options are very close together on the screen. Also, sometimes I select the wrong answer because I read it wrong and there is no edit or back button. You are stuck with your answer. Finally, I got a mismatch about how I feel about traveling and the mismatch was unrelated-it mixed up another question. It said my spouse answered he would tell me how much I mean to him and that we could get through any hump?! What? Also, I could care less about other people's responses.

I thought this app would be a good way to stay connected with my long-distance boyfriend. It is a nice concept, and I was looking forward to it. However, both of us found the questions to be redundant after a while, and there is usually more than one answer to a question. For instance (this is paraphrased), "You want to exercise; what do you do? A. Go for a walk/run, B. Hit the gym, C. Yoga, D. I don't exercise." Umm, A, B, AND C! Sure, you can write your own response, but your S.O. has to write the exact same thing, punctuation and all, which is absurd. Some of the questions are decent conversation starters, but after a while it is annoying to get poorly written questions wrong. Also, once you select a response, you can't go back and change it. Overall, it is a decent way to get to know someone, but if you already know that person very well, you might know them too well for the game. So, I would recommend it to friends who are just getting to know their S.O., but it is not that great if you know them well. You can find conversation starters elsewhere and other, less discouraging ways of staying connected.

This is a great game. It’s a fun way to ask questions and get to know things about each other that you probably wouldn’t otherwise. It is definitely a glitchy app though. You have to select one of the four options they have because writing in your own answer doesn’t show up. It’s hard to comment on questions in the game because the keyboard covers up the send button. It’s also been shutting down a lot and saying that it’s unable to open and will be down for a few days. It’s still enjoyable. It’s just kind of annoying to have to work around these things. It would also be nice if questions for both sides showed up automatically. . .instead my boyfriend and I have to comment on each other’s so we can see both sides. Anyway, it really is a good app. I’ve really enjoyed it! It’s definitely a great option for a long distance relationship.

My boyfriend and I played it for more than one year already but unfortunately for both of us it takes hundreds of years to even open the app. After that even just doing something in the app takes forever to load. • New ads are distracting and offensive. Probably will stop using May 21, 2017

Love this app! It gets us talking about things we wouldn't usually just bring up in conversation! Helps us connect on a daily basis in the midst of busy lives....this is how I felt about the app until I downloaded the newest version at the developer's request. The ads are distracting. I didn't mind small banner ads but now they take over the screen and you have to close out carefully to continue. Also who cares about how other people answer the questions?! This app is about your partner in life not everyone else. I am a happily married woman and don't care if other women want to role play or not 🙄 I wish I had stuck to the old version because we loved this app and if I see one Trump positive ad or anything political I'm deleting it. So disappointed in the update to say the least.

It's not a terrible app, but attempting to get extra questions is horrible. I will watch videos for extra questions and never get the extra question, I've probably watched 30 videos trying to get this to work. When it says you can take surveys for more questions, that's a joke, because I will start multiple surveys and waste 5 minutes on them before they kick me out. Fix this and give me the questions. I feel like I wasted my time.

Got this app cuz I thought it would be fun for my long distance relationship. After downloading and spending two days trying to set up me and my gf on it I gave up. If you don’t install and sign up in the correct order the app pretty much is broken. After sending a frustrated email to the dev, things improved slightly. Then I realized the questions it sends you are often not paired with your partners question. I find it difficult that when I answer questions I have to wait and cross my fingers and hope my gf gets sent the same ones I have answered which doesn’t seem to happen often. So overall I went into this with decent expectations and hoping for something fun to do with my significant other, but pretty disappointed in my exp with this app
