Hope you don't go into a town where you can't afford to buy into a poker game. If you can't, it's likely the transportation you took into the town won't be around for a few days, and you can't progress to the next day without playing in a game, but you can't play in a game until you have the money from the income of your buildings, *which you get at the end of every day*...you see what I'm getting at here? The alternative to this catch 22 posed by the devs is to get chips with real money. Think about that. If you make a careless mistake, you either have to buy stuff with real money or uninstall and start over. Also, poker is a game of skill but in real life, humans have tics. Can't read the nervous tics of a computer, and you don't have to hide your own, which makes poker in this format very luck based.

  • Rigged

    by TyeDye kid

Often times when you have a better hand than the computer the pot gets split, sometimes the computer even gets more than you. I just played a round where I had a straight and the computer had absolutely nothing and he got 400 chips and I got 200! That doesn't happen in real poker. Also I just won twice against the governor but because of the way this game is set up I lost the overall match. There were two separate times where both myself and the computer went all in and I won both times. If two people go all in one of them loses, period end of story!!!

I like the game but disliked that you have to pay to travel the map Even after youve passed a level. Once reaching the coal mine it asks for money to get map access! totally sucked...hard work for nothing

  • Too greedy and AI cheats

    by Chick McChokem

Potentially fun game for offline poker, BUT it's basically a Chinese finger trap that forces you to pay money for chips if you want to continue. Also, it's pretty obvious that the AI makes decisions based on knowing what cards will be dealt ahead of time. AI players won't fold when they should because they know a pair is coming. Still it's decent fun. And if they weren't trying to trap me into paying more, I may have actually bought some chips. As is, I'll probably just play something else.

  • by Kemal Aziz

I don't mind the massive quantity of ads, only if I'm able to advance to other cities without paying. Watching tons of ads + you still have to buy the game to play is not very pleasant. Greedy devs

  • Cheat

    by "Unhappy"

When your in the first town it is fun and a little challenging to decide to fold or bet, but when you open the next two towns you don't get anything better than pair of 9s King and queen different suits. The luck always falls toward the cpu players and the would be winning hands start off so bad you don't want to bet the kind of money that it gets to before the flop. Just another money grab. I did enjoy the pc version.

  • by thelegion69

Cards dealt are not random. It's no point playing a fake poker game where the outcome of a hand is predetermined depending on the difficulty level you've set. So many ads and there's no way to progress without spending money. Sad because the controls and mechanics are easy to use.

  • Cool but seriously flawed!

    by Anthony Landon

I can't purchase any in game content. I even had to delete the free version and then buy and install the paid version. I have an S7 and have never had this issue even in the play store. After the first town, it takes everything short of an actual miracle to get a winning hand.

  • Cards/luck not random

    by Purchased a version customer

Other players always get better hands consistently. Regardless of you raising or trying to bluff, you're financially drained way too soon/fast. Ergo; No inclination at the earlier levels to start throwing my money at "in app purchases". Stop draining my chips and I'll be more apt to purchase them if left with choosing to buy or no I would just as soon delete the game.

  • by Ronalda Johnson

The game is great starting until you win the Coal Mine in which you win a horse to travel to travel to the yellow cities free, however it will not allow you. It seems you must spend money even if you have earned the right to travel. Dissapointed!!!!!!

  • Too greedy

    by Battery life 123457

I agree the AI is set aggressively. I have played a lot of this game on MAC. I have almost beaten the game, but the Mobile version would be expensive to play. I bought the "whole game" but I am not going to pay more to play the basic game. I would need to keep paying. Skip this game unless you like to pay.

I have played this game on iphone se. And right now playing of poco f1. First the UI does not cover the screen properly. Its shifted to the bottom of the screen. I am not even talking about the notch area graphic. Feels slows and not smooth. As for game play in both ios and Android i felt it wasn't random.

  • I should be able to make $ off property

    by Schmidty94521

So the games a little different than the original. In the first hand I could buy all the properties and make money. If I lost a hand it was no big deal. I could earn the money in the next couple of days and be able to play a new game. Now they make you play a hand every day. They are designing the game to make you continuously buy chips with actual money. If I paid $3.00 for a full version I shouldn't be haggled to spend more money. I'll continue playing for a little while but I might just delete the app.

  • by A Google user

Pretty dumb that the only way to advance past the second stage is to pay money. Would've been a good game if there was another way to advance. Should really tell people that you have to pay to play it.

  • by Marc Bakker

pay for a premium game and they make it impossible and expensive so you have to continue paying. absolutely ridiculous. save your money and get a different poker game. money hungry game

  • by Patrick Searle

Cant get pass the age verification... won't accept key input. Why there is age verification for fake money is beyond me but then again what do expect from a bunch of D&D, Star Trek, virgin developers?

  • Love this game but..

    by Zoron9101

I love this game but it just randomly started crashing on start up so I can't open it anymore I hope they push an updated to fix this issue. And I'm using an iPhone 6. Please fix this issue!!

  • Will no longer open on iPhone 6

    by RSD31

Updated 5 star review to 1 star until crash bug is fixed. Crashes on open every time, restarted phone and reinstalled app to no effect. Good offline poker with a western-style plot to give you something to play for.

  • Why the in app purchases?

    by airfrceman

Do developers realize the point of paying for a game in to avoid micro transactions? Glad this is offline otherwise its pay to win.

  • In all purchases?

    by AgentShadow

I rather the game be more expensive then me having to buy coins and junk within the game. That's extremely annoying because I do love this game but, that's just not cool.

  • Paid app that charges even more to keep playing

    by Fooxzie

If I pay for an app, I expect it to be fully unlocked. This game is a paid app, yet it still tries to get me to pay more to play if the game doesn't go my way. Not cool. Deleted and refund requested.

  • Could have been . . . Fun?

    by sharksfan777

Locks or freezes up too many times while in a tournament or cash game. You have to leave game and lose all your money! Is that the way they make their money???? What a shame. AI is too loose, constantly raise/re raising.

  • Great game, desktop better

    by Ang44444

This version seems to be way more intense with raises. Very different than the desktop version which felt more realistic.

  • Color confusion

    by Foggy Nozzle

There is no app support and I can't figure out how to change my hat color to something other than blue. Good game but not 5-star with these issues.

  • AI are idiots

    by Joseph DiFabrizio

They call every single bet and get super lucky on flops turns and rivers. I keep having to restart because the idiot developers decided to make it so that the game saves every single time you are in a hand.

  • Warning: Money Trap!

    by aaron-nyc11

I spent $3 in this game so I could play games offline, but unless you’re willing to spend MORE money this game is useless, and you can’t play for more than 4 rounds. Would NOT recommend.

  • Bad

    by Newshoundzz

Ever after you buy it you can get locked and not be able to continue without in app purchases!

  • Constant Badgering To Buy Chips

    by Lovetofish1

I thought by paying $2.99 for the app it would give me a break. Nope! It is constantly trying to sell "virtual" chips. Save your money and play the free versions.

  • Robbed

    by C.fighter

Horrible game. Paid good money for game and extra money. Won a bunch and suddenly got a black screen. Rip off! Would give it a zero if allowed.

  • Ripoff

    by bigleiznuh

Why charge $2.99 for the game if you have to use in app purchases to continue. Should be free game with in app purchases or pay money upfront for full game. Total ripoff.

  • Rigged and cheat

    by rjcojcmjlrcmmcy

AI definitely cheats and it gets very annoying after a while. Pay to play. Game is garbage and will not be playing anymore.

  • Scam

    by Mehdbaf

The app won't even open. Always crashes. Might have given it a better rating if I actually got to play the game. Ggwp. Play dota 2

  • Broken AI

    by Queen Poobah

The AI is completely random with its bets. Also the hands are rigged heavily in favor of any player who is not you. Stick with the first game, it is more reasonable.
