It’s been great to listen in while sitting outside and still have access to the screen and chat, etc if needed. So it provides more functionality than if I were just calling in on the phone line. If a connection is not good, it will give the option to switch to a phone line. So far I have not had to do that, but it is nice to have the option and to know that the app is looking out for my having the best experience possible. I do need to copy/paste the meeting number to join without logging into GoMeeting, so if you don’t want an account (which anyway is free at the basic level) or you may not have time or want to log in, then you will need to keep that meeting number handy. You can usually copy/paste from the email invitation from the organizer or it may be listed on the organizer’s web page.

Review Update: The developer updated this app to allow multiple cameras on cellphone. Good app. Anyone know how to get tiles of all callers on android? It keeps flipping back and forth to each individual caller. Very difficult to deal with. Makes be dizzy. Works fine for iPhone and iPad attendees and works on my PC, but bad experience on my Samsung android. Any suggestions?

I’ve used GoToMeeting a handful of times during the quarantine and have only been impressed once. The very first time everything worked well, but on the second attempt my mic stopped workin on my laptop. It works with all other programs, so I know it’s an issue in GoToMeeting. While getting that fixed, I’ve been using the iPad app. I have no idea why the screen is limited to 6 people and you have no control over who those six are. I thought I must be missing an easy way to see the other people, but after a lot of searching this seems to be the only option on the iPad. Why? This seems like a terrible failure if the app isn’t able to let you actually participate in meetings of more than 5 other web cams. At least it helpfully tells you who is speaking. However, this feature is white text on a light gray background and nearly impossible to read. This seems an accessibility issue more than a mere annoyance. Assuming I can get my mic to work again, most of my complaints are limited to the iPad app. But until this app is usable, I’ll be hoping my meetings switch to zoom.

Have used for years, I am responsible for helping our students to sign-on and even for those that almost never turn on a computer (yes, there are many of them out there 😄) I can easily get them signed on and ready to go. As with ALL programs, the more you use them you always have a ‘wish list’ but GoToMeeting has very few items that need to be changed... but since I’m here I’d like to request better support for showing videos, it worked in the past but newest updates require the presenter to ‘dial in’ to the meeting and have their phone on speaker while running the video for the participants to hear it, when that’s fixed it will be a ‘5+’ for sure. I was on the phone with tech support for over an hour and she and I ‘discovered’ this work around which has saved us so I am grateful to that tech for taking the time to help me find a solution. Easy to use and easy to explain to others, LOVE LOVE LOVE the program.

The app is fantastic... I love it. Only thing is to share with your team is that, when the organizer is speaking the tagline will always appear on the screen as: "........ is speaking" its annoying to the audience, especially in the vertical view of mobile. Either it could be disappered automatically after few seconds or there must be an option to close it by audience. Kindly work on this and sort it out soon. Thank you.

My employer forced us to move from Zoom to GoToMeeting, and it was a huge mistake. My complaints are many! There’s no waiting room. Your only options are flood gates open, flood gates closed. And when your meeting is locked you can’t see who is waiting to get in! There’s no option to mute all participants automatically upon entering and even if you do mute all they can still unmute themselves at any time. And anyone who gets dismissed can come right back in! You can’t spotlight one video for all participants, and the audio and video quality are abysmal. If you record a meeting, you better hope it’s short because it will take absolutely forever to convert and save. And there is no way to turn off video mirroring! It might be unmirrored for other people, but that doesn’t really help me when I’m trying to present and read anything physical. The settings menu is laughable too. You can change the aspect ratio of your video and that’s about it. Genuinely floored this platform has lasted this long. Maybe it’s because the market isn’t that big? Do people not know there are better options?!?

My company uses this app for meetings and other remote sessions. It works well for most things. A simple meeting face to face or over the phone with many in the company this does very well. The problem is the inability to play a video with sound during a meeting. In many instances this has been needed but not possible with Go To Meeting.

  1. Easily meet online with your team even when you're in different places, right from your mobile device
  2. Manage and view your upcoming meetings, and receive handy push notifications when your next meeting is about to start so you don't miss it
  3. Present your own reports, proposals, and information - then pass presentation control to someone else so they can present, too

Easy and safe for me and my students. I can do everything I need to for demonstrating methods of working, one to one tutorials, PPP, and conferencing. So easy to share my screen and use different webcams. I have been using Go to Meeting approx. 10 years. They have been continually upgrading and streamlining. Their screen is uncluttered but still has everything needed. What a good design. Definitely a positive experience for my students too. I have tried out others and return to Go to Meeting.

Do you to the phone call I had to do was open the app in the invitation was already on the main screen. Integrating that with Calendar to be able to pull that up made it real easy to join a call and just get to work

  • Great for rainy days and busy schedules! Jan 23, 2020

    By Bachtell STPro
GoToMeeting is wonderful on a day like today. It’s cold and rainy! I just finished attending a business meeting with 35 others. I was able to get to the meeting on time (always a problem for me!) and the 30minute meeting was productive and I could easily comment by hitting the microphone button or stay mute. All in the comfort of home, with my cup of hot coffee at the kitchen table. GoToMeeting idea is especially good for people like me who are easily distracted. Our supervisor went over a change in policy using a graph and I could easily follow it...as good as a one-on-one meeting! Many Thanks to Marketplace Ministries for using GoToMeeting!! Great addition to our workforce! D. Bachtell (Industrial Chaplain)

Nice UI But some problems i face personally i.e when speaker is saying something then it appears on screen, thats why we faces some difficulty to recognise upper part of slide. When speaker is visible then this app take too much data. We can't see participants also. Plz resolve this. & a request- can u develop a inbuilt software for screen recording?

  • GoTo meeting is an incredible tool but can overheat your cell in a meeting. Jul 2, 2020

    By Rickyb3
I have used GoTo meetings in the past. The software is extremely helpful for meeting with our clients around the USA and even a few around the world. GoTo recently started to overheat and shut off after a 20min video call. Support reached out to me after posting my bad review. All apps need to be closed. I’m good about always having my apps closed but I’ll have to double check. GoTo has great support and I’ve revised my rating. I am doing only 4 stars because there are times when we have audio problems in calls and when reaching out to GoTo, it’s an issue they’re resolving. Excellent communication with support and always ready to help!

  • Good Service, So-So iOS App May 10, 2019

    By btn
GoToMeeting is a great service. (My company switched after suffering through WebEx.) However, the iOS app could use some improvements: 1. It doesn’t multitask well. It can’t run in the background long, which I could’ve sworn was possible with WebEx’s iOS app. It also doesn’t work with Split View on iPad e.g. preventing one from using the Notes app side-by-side. 2. On iPad, there doesn’t seem to be a way to prevent it from using the Internet for audio by default. This is really annoying since I typically dial-in. There also isn’t an in-app control to switch audio sources. 3. While screen sharing from iPad it would be nice to be able to move the position of the webcam window of myself, and suppress sharing iOS Notifications. Overall, the GoToMeeting service is so much better than WebEx that these nitpicks with their iOS app are tolerable. P.S. Hopefully, the GoToMeeting iOS app will stop nagging me to write a review now that I’ve written this one…

Initially we could see the presenter in full screen.. now with the updated version , all the participants are shown.. when kids are attending online classes, the video of teacher is visible only in small thumbnail size hence it becomes difficult to view. The browser version when viewed in mobile phone does not have audio. Please fix it as soon as possible.

  • Please allow to run in background Dec 6, 2018

Overall decent - I seem to have more trouble getting the phone call audio connected with this vs. other providers’ mobile apps. It seems silly giving a review of the mobile app, since it’s the only option if your company uses GTM as its online meeting service. One “feature” that really bugs me - and that I really hope can be made optional - is the requirement to have the app on top in order to stay connected to the meeting. Often I will be doing other activities while listening to a call (email, reviewing a PDF, etc. ) and if I ignore the “Please return to GoToMeeting or the app will be closed” message, I lose the screenshare connection. Very frustrating. Can you please make this optional? Maybe a setting for timeout period vs the hard-coded 60 second timeout?

  • Good but could be better Dec 13, 2018

    By Phut Bwah
I’ve been using the app for a year or so now and it does have problems that haven’t been resolved in that time. Firstly, it never seems to connect successfully to a second meeting after the first one has closed. I always have to close the app in the switcher and relaunch it in order to join a meeting. Also the Join a Meeting tab which lists your upcoming meetings doesn’t live update: you could have a meeting in 4 minutes, and two minutes later it still says “starts in 4 minutes” unless you switch to another app and go back, or pull down to refresh the list. Hopefully these simple things will be fixed at some point.

Chat feature chat does not appear on the screen of the receiver!! While the meeting is going on, every participant has an option to type a message either to individual or everyone, in the chat box Right?? In zoom the text appears on the screen of the Receiver, or everyone as the case may be, But here in Gotomeeting the chat does not appear on the screen of the everyone or individual unless he goes to the chat option, to check whether any message has been received or not.hope question is clear.

I signed up for the professional version and was pleased the initial two months. I gave a two rating instead of one because I’m still hopeful. I experienced a problem 7 days ago with my webcam and the level 1 technicians who tried to help were limited. I was elevated to a tier 2. I was informed not to expect a call, but an email. No email at this report. I’m a professional counselor depended on video counseling during the in pandemic. This lack of response from GoToMeeting tech support has resulted in lost revenue. If no response is received in the next five days, I’m no longer a customer and will expect my monthly fee returned.

  • Not reliable, constantly crashes Oct 15, 2018

    By Found Wanting
This app is completely unreliable, don’t go in expecting the app to keep you in a meeting the whole time. With serious collaboration (voice & screenshare), this app crashes anywhere from every five to fifteen minutes. Be prepared to scramble and rejoin. You hear it about to crash when the voice starts breaking up and within 10-15 seconds gone. I give it two stars because it does do some work, and when it may work, would be decent. However, Webex, Zoom, & Amadeo perform better, have used all reliably for what GTM fails to uphold, basic connectivity.

So before today this app worked great. I could use it on my cellphone and basically if I had an incoming call, I would be able to answer it and put gotomeeting on hold then resume the call when I hang up the regular call. Also, I was able to make outbound phone calls while on the meeting using the app and it’s not allowing me to do that anymore. I really wish they would fix this! Very inconvenient especially since I have to make calls to other people and cannot do so unless I hang up the meeting. Please bring back the feature of letting us make calls and receive calls while on the meeting and make the app automatically put itself on hold until we hang up our calls
