I signed up as a VIP last October. Golfnow has saved me and my golf buddies $$$$$!!!!! 1-Tee times are incredibly easy to use and very flexible. 2-Top of the line courses are offered at amazing prices. Played Mohegan Sun for $40 several times. (Reg price $120) 3-Reward points are a bonus and enable me to play 18/w cart for less than $10 ‼️ 4-Customer service is amazing *had to cancel last minute due to raw weather, course was open so a refund was technically not allowed. I called Golfnow and they gave me coupon codes to compensate me for the cost. *every time I call CS they address me by my first name and treat me like a VIP!! 5-I love to browse the different golf courses looking for new courses to play WITH amazing discounts. 6-I find the golf courses are getting used to the “Golfnowers” and tend to embrace us. The only complaint that I have heard is late arrivals of some Gofnowers. 7-I don’t use Golfnow GPS ... I use Swingxswing. May try Golfnow if they fix the GPS turning off during use. 8-My golf buddies love my ease of getting tee times and call me often. 9-VIP “waived fees” saved me my VIP cost and then some!! 10-Love the REVIEW YOUR ROUND EMAILS! It’s cool to read other golfer’s reviews to get insight on playing new courses. I also provide my summary after every round. All in all Golfnow for me is absolutely awesome‼️🏌️

The app has be plagued with outages, bugs, and downtime BUT continues to improve. It is more stable and has gotten enough market share to be available at most of my local courses. Nonetheless it still does not offer much advantage over just using the courses online booking. There is potential here but the app isnt quite there yet

  • Convenient App. Could use some tweaks Oct 28, 2017

    By TLsoccer9
I found this app at the beginning of the golf season. It has saved me money overall, as the "Hot Deals" are hard to beat. I've paid as little as $14 to as much as $54 for a hot deal, depending on how long I hold out to book my round. I, like many, share the frustration of having to book 3 days out to use your "Bonus". Sometimes I don't know if I'll be able to play until the day before, and by then it's too late to use it. I understand GolfNow wants to make as much money on the tee time as they can, but you are also making money from the course that uses the system. I only have 3 courses in my area that use it, one of them being my "Home" course, so for that I am lucky. I've tried using it for keeping score, but it seems the same as other Apps, where if your phone goes to sleep between holes, you have to start from the beginning, unless you take your phone off power saving mode. Overall, it's a good app to have because the rounds from what I can tell are at least 1/2 off the regular greens fees. You just have to be willing to abide by the their policies concerning the Bonus for booking the "Hot Deals"

Love the app when it works. Especially useful for booking a tee time when traveling and wanting to find a course to play. Problem is app and website aren't working well. Tried booking a tee time kept getting an error each time I tried to book. Now I've had multiple booking fees charged on my card and no tee times. There is no customer service to call.

  • Fine product for deals and ease.... Sep 28, 2017

    By Callaway Daddy
I am (newly) returning to the game now that my boys have become avid golfers. I didn't have all these new features and ease of booking when I played this game many years ago. I like the ease and 24-hour availability to book tee times. My crazy life and business make it difficult to be available to many courses during business hours to reserve a time. I live in Utah, which has a LOT of terrific golf courses. I wish that GN had more Hot Deals at more of the courses around the Salt Lake, Davis, and Weber County areas. I find myself limited to only a couple of courses for Hot Deals, and a couple of my favorite courses are not in this program. I have spoken with a couple of reps at GN, and they are familiar with the courses I am wanting to play - they just have not been able to work out a contract with those courses. Good luck! I hope we can add them soon! All in all, GN has been a good product for me and my boys. I would like and appreciate a greater variety of courses in the Hot Deals program. There are too many great courses around me to be limited to a "couple" of deals.

This app took $115 from me and literally provided me with no services at all. Best part is there was a convenience fee - So convenient that when you show up to the course the clubhouse knows nothing about your tee time and hasn't received any payment. So I paid again, in person, and GolfNow still has my $115 and did absolutely nothing for me. Another interesting thing to note is that my $115 in greens fees was a hot deal (-20% or something). But in person, at the course I was only charged $41.

Most overrated app I’ve ever used. You are charged a convenience fee for each tee time you book even though nothing about it is convenient. God forbid you are a human being and have something come up and have to cancel a tee time, not only will they charge you for the tee time (even if it is cancelled a week in advance) they will also let someone else go ahead and book that tee time and tell you it’s been filled (I wanted to let my brother use the tee time since I would have to pay for it anyway). I was also once charged double for a tee time because the app froze, was told I would be reimbursed in full (after waiting on hold for an hour and a half), and wound up with “promo codes” which are only redeemable Monday-Friday when any productive American is working at their job. This is the first time I’ve ever written a negative review for anything but this app has caused me so much trouble I needed to get it out there. I would highly recommend anybody using this app to switch to another golf app like 18Birdies. This app has cost me hundreds of dollars unnecessarily and has been nothing but trouble for me.

Terrible. Made a reservation and got a confirmation number, but never showed up on my account. Course closed, pouring rain, thunder and lightening, and no feasible way to cancel/request refund as the reservation doesn't show on my account. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AVAILABLE. Auto prompt runs you in circles, can't get a live person to talk to. Keep the $60 - lesson well learned. I will never use this app again. I'd rather pay more and support the golf course directly. Zero stars if I could.

This used to be the best golf booking app on the market by far but not anymore. The hot deals were amazing and in great numbers. When a price was showing on the app it was the price you paid but not anymore !!! It started at 99$ then climbed to 149$ then now 199$ for a lot lot less value less good hot deals. When I asked I was told you get the free instructional video now really lol you can get those anywhere all over the web. I was also told but you get 200$ of hot deals but here is the catch Monday through Thursday (they must not know people work during the week), must be for millionaires or retirees... When you saw a price advertised it was always 18 holes with a cart but to attract you now the low price is 9 holes walking so not as straightforward. So I cancelled my automatic renewal to golfpass + after having been member for ever as I can get pretty much the same prices everywhere, the only thing they have left is the free cancel which is awesome I told them I was not renewing they said oh ok bye !!!! Maybe they will get back one day to being great again

Biggest rip-off there is. I spent $90 a year to be a member and all they do is charge me a convenience fee to book anything online. Whereas I can go to the golf courses direct website and not be charged a fee. The round is the same price. It's actually way more expensive to use this app. Pretty frustrated that I joined. I was also supposed to get a box of balls and never saw those. I asked a few Golf Pro Shops and they had no idea what I was talking about.

Woke up today, got tired of googling “courses near me with open tee times and reasonably priced- also a single for 18 with cart”... so I just followed the link from an offered price and went straight to the source and downloaded the app. I found an amazing deal and then went to play. Got paired up with another single and after the round I thought, huh, that dude was pretty cool, too bad I didn’t catch his info. Open up the app to “invite friends” to a round this coming Friday. There, waiting for me, was the guy’s name and profile. Suggested friend. So, this app is pretty fantastic at scheduling, inviting, booking, saving money, and just all the BS that makes you want to wave it all off sometimes- like how I initially felt this morning. Awesome app: smart, easy to use, and very intuitive!! Can’t recommend enough.

GolfNow is the premiere service for both discovering new courses to play near or far and capturing a value so you have some extra change on your pocket to play even more golf! On average GolfNow saves me $10-20 per 18 holes played, and when you play as much as I do it adds up fast. The absolute best part about GolfNow is the exclusive offers that are available for users of the service. Just recently, I was able to play Firestone Country Club North while the top 50 golfers in the world were warming up 100yds away from me on the driving range, GolfNow invited me out to participate in a "member for a day" offer that I would highly suggest others to take advantage of any time it's available.

Very nice kept course. It is a challenging course with tight fair ways on some holes. I like the specials they have throughout the day. It is very affordable for all players to have an opportunity to play. Thanks for the experience.

Love you he option of click, click tee time set. Some of the "HotDeals" are weather based from an algorithm on future cast but still usually a good deal. Just started using it this month and have already booked 7 rounds through it.

  • VIP pays for itself, missing 1 key feature Dec 16, 2018

    By Yahoo football '10
The app is very smooth and does everything it says with ease. Getting the VIP package takes off convenience fees when booking tee times, and will easily pay for itself over time depending on how often you play. Even with the convenience fee, the hot deals discounts save money if you have a more flexible schedule. The one key feature that’s missing is the GPS functionality to give you distances and see the layout of the course. The only GPS function is to find the course closest to you so you can select it to keep score and track club usage on a particular course. Other apps that have a lower subscription and similar abilities have this GPS capability. I may switch back at the end of this year if it doesn’t come into being.

I would rate golfnow 5 stars if it weren't for one thing. last year you were able to click the middle button on the bottom "Play Golf" and it would take you to a screen where you could type in where you're playing/keep score.NOW that feature only works 5% of the time and 95% of the time another screen pops up forcing you to download a second app(GN Compete) to access these features. the problem is the second app is garbage..dont fix what aint broke. don't make me have to DL a 2nd app that sucks

The app is useful and accurate for a free gps. Basically the only thing its good at. It also has a slight stat track feature which keeps handicap. Besides these things which need improvement on their own this app sorta blows. If you let your screen dark you must open, load and resume round everytime. Stupidest sht ever when im using a gps app which should be in use till I close it. Stat tracking is weak as well. I want to know more about my rounds, ie putt lengths, sand shots and penalty strokes. Also where i live (SE PA) there is no reason to book a tee time through the app. You will always pay more than course rate. I have yet to find 1 tee time on the app that beats just callin the course (hot deal excluded, usually 1-2 golfers at weird hour) Whats the point? Greedy and half of the courses around arent listed to book tee time with. I deleted this app once after 2 rounds. Itll probably happen again. Golfnow needs to improve on things. All that money and youre names on a generic product. Like a prov1x playin like a mojo. C'mon

I like the convenience of booking a tee time with ease. The only thing that i do not like however, is how one is unable to redeem rewards on weekend hot deals. You really need to change the time frame of when they are redeemable. I get charged the extra fee and yet I can't benifet from using your app. I have a ton of points that I have accumulated and can't do anything with them. I work Mon-Fri 8-5. I am sure their are more people that work the same hours. Other than that really great app.

UPDATE: finally found the 800 number within the app. There is supposed to be a ticket open to make sure I get the golf balls delivered. Stay tuned. PREVIOUS: So I finally sign up for golf pass, get through the trial, and now the app is constantly getting stuck and breaking. And they have the wrong address and there's no easy way to change it.

Beware - search for your course and look closely to make sure it's the one nearby. I mistakenly booked a hot deal to a course 1000 miles away because it had the same name. It showed up in my search without me even typing in the first letter. Hot deals are not refundable.

Used to be able to get good deals on this app. Now they charge almost the same as the course plus convenience fee. Only reason I use golfnow at all is because one course only books through this app. Other courses are cheaper to go thru their website or clubhouse for tee times.
