It is the best since I just sun bath at morning and stay at home mostly. I don't actually need the later uv index after 10 am, it is common sense to know you will burn after one hour. Use your sunscreen!

A rating of 3 because the uv update only covers two hours and doesn't update as time moves along. And because the premium price is too high. Other than that it's great.

The widget does not update unless you open the app and it does not open the app from the small widget... Makes it pointless to have a widget. The opacity does not change either. Its a good app tho, the widget doesn't work.

This app is sort of ugly looking, but it has the most information in a visible and informative way. I like that I can see the UV index throughout the whole day without clicking or scrolling. This is also one of the few apps that offers a widget for UV index. It would be nice if there were also a widget that tells you UV index over time. Samsung Wear app would be very appreciated too.

The best thing about this app is that it shows the approximate amount of time that I would likely need to get my daily dose of Vitamin D, yay! The next best thing is the cloud factor integration into the UV Index calculation. Nexy is the color coordinated hourly UV forecast. I downloaded a few sun exposure apps and this is the best one with free information. It might be cool to factor in the clothes I'm wearing to determine how much sun exposure I need to get my daily dose of Vitamin D.

Needs location on. No thanks. I grudgingly turned on location, and app wouldn't run. Uninstalled.

It forces you to enable location. Why can't you just type the name of the city?! I don't want to have location enabled just for this app

Best app for UV, but don't get the "pro" version! It works way worse than the free version and there's no way to get support or a refund. The widget does not update like it's supposed to and the app just has a spinning circle most of the time, also failing to update.

WARNING! Looks like the Home screen widget does NOT update automatically. So you look at it and it might say UV Index = 0.2, but you open the app and see that no the current UV Index is 5.5! Very nice looking app with a lot of information & a nice Home screen widget too. But at โ‚ฌ9.99 it is extremely expensive, and the free version has both quite limited features AND intrusive ads. Also, on my Samsung A50 at least, there are a couple of bugs that would be great if they could be fixed. #1.. It is very difficult to click on the "info icon" on the Home screen Widget (please make the clickable area for that button larger) #2. Inside the app itself the font is too large to see text in some places (please add potential customization for this app setting so people can configure text to be visible on their device)

Probably good app. But ads with sound make it unusable.

I have a very pale complexion and searched extensively for the best UV Index app, and agree with many of the other reviewers, that UVI Index Now is the best, especially for its Android widgets. Although I had been using the app for some time, today I broke down and purchased the pro version, with the hope that I would be able to utilize the 2x2 widget, and I'm still waiting for Alexander to reply about why it is not working, and goes to the 1X1 widget instead? My Android phone has multiple home pages, with many widgets from different apps, of which UVI Index Now is one of many. Another feature is for the widget to update at prescribed intervals automatically. Finally, I would like to know where the app is getting its UV information from in any given location, and if it's data is close to real time? Let's make a terrific app even better.

Great app. Helps me to judge the sun and not get burnt. To know when to stay out of the sun.

Very good app for showing UV, as well as how long it takes for you to burn. Furthermore, it shows the amount of time needed to get your vitamin D which is helpful. Unsure what the premium actually gives. It's 10 euro, but I might have actually bought it, if I knew what I was getting.

One of the best UV apps, but I don't think the Vitamin D estimate is accurate. As far as I know to get vitamin D you need UVB radiation, but it only occurs when the sun angle is higher than about 50 degrees in the middle of the day (depending on your latitude).

i'm mixed about this. it gives me the info, but the widget is either high med or low. and if i reset the phone, it gives me precise info with numbers and such. yet if i go into the program it will go back to the graphic. and there are no options of what i can do with the widget.

This is the only UV widget I could find. It'd be great if I didn't have to click the widget to see the maximum forecast UV. Also, I live in one of those areas where I'm trying to get MORE UV, not less, so a "minutes until maximum UV" would be great.

The sunscreen reminder does not work, which is a big reason I downloaded this and purchased premium. It does not issue a notification like it claims. I enjoy the other features of the app, but that is a bit issue for me
