Good story, good play time
Jul 1, 2017 This is a great game. The story line keeps you engaged till the end. The HOs were just hard enough, and there were plenty of them. A few used the same scene, but even those were still fun. The puzzles were fun and not too difficult. This was worth the price.more -

Anyway this seems like a good one, and pretty straight forward. Not a lot of going back and forth till your head spins. The story is cool, as a detective you must find a killer of a man who was convicted by a jury that he is now murdering. Very cool plot. Different types of Collectibles in each scene are cool. The puzzles are pretty easy so far. I am a quarter way thru. So buy it.... I did.more

May 27, 2017 Decent game. While I don't care much for the detective type games, this one throws you back in mysterious worlds that make things tolerable. Positives: Good story, decent length, good graphics and music. Negatives: controls are sometimes off, objects are tiny for a phone screen, a tad bit many missing object mini puzzles instead of real puzzles, and the whole element forge thing is a bit illogical. Altogether, nice game if you get it on sale but not sure if worth full price.more

May 26, 2017 I plug in the drill on the workbench but I have nothing to fix the cord. Hint keeps saying plug it in but then it says I have to repair the cord. No way to progress.
What’s Groovy
Once again, my review disappeared! This paranormal detective story from Brave Giant was a very good game. You could customize settings. The game was lengthy and had a bonus adventure. There was no cohesive journal but objectives were regularly updated. The graphics were colorful and clear. The storyline was interesting and easy to follow. There was an excellent teleport map to transport you instantaneously between locations. At each location there were different collectibles but you were given indicators when you had collected the items. Inventory items were labeled and interactive and there were complex items to assemble. The HO scenes had some variation, but they weren't that unusual. However you could play an alternative card game. There was a decent variety of puzzles/games; some were simplistic but still fun to do anyway. I won't spoil it for anybody but you get a lot of interesting gadgets to use, both in regular mode and also in the limbo world, where you must use paranormal skills.
My rating will stand at 4 stars. The vocabulary and grammar were quite poor and you could tell that English was not the developer's first language. In addition some of the puzzles were very hard to manipulate and thus I had to skip them.
Still and all it was a very good game. I wish we got more games from Artifex Mundi!

What’s Subpar
I could've forgiven the goofy-yet-boring story and surprisingly bad English if the game was fun. But this is one of those games that takes the phrase "hidden object" too literally - many scenes have objects that are completely behind something else, or inside a container, and since these spots are so arbitrary, you'll need to tap around a lot until you stumble onto something interactive. There's not one HO scene in the game that doesn't have some annoyance like this. Total waste of money.

I'm sick of opening games and sound is blaring. Let me decide my sound level I'm comfortable with. We're not all 13 yr old players. I initially gave one star because I'm sick of games opening up blaring, which I still am. But Ghost Files deserves 5 stars for content. It's a suspenseful mystery...keeps you entertained throughout game play. -

One of the best I’ve played in a while. Very realistic police procedural with a step into the paranormal. Teleporting map with action indicators. One of three different objects to find in each scene: forensic, photo or tarot (with indicator above task bar). Morphing objects in HOPs. Lots of HOPs (yeah!). Good voice acting. Nice long play time. Bonus chapter. Wonderful artwork. -

Wow, I just purchased this game and thus far it's been a refreshingly great story line ....I love that it isn't utilizing what so many games use ...special "powers"!!!! Yay... I am so happy it's more of a realistic mystery, albeit, focused on paranormal, so am relieved no paranormal powers need to be used in solving the game.... that technique has been WAY overdone in recent casual gaming history. I enjoy games that have realistic plots and complete storylines ....especially mysteries, so I am hoping this developer is paving the way toward new and better games and this one is a super good start to that end. I am loving this game....kudos! -

Love being a detective!
This game was great. It was engaging and I was eager to solve this crime with the characters. The graphics and special effects were great. It had a good storyline and it was a nice change from princesses and demons. This is a good one. -
