  • Great game ! Dec 24, 2020

The graphics and story to this game is beautiful. I play up to five hours each day for the past maybe month and a half and there is SO much content. I do see a lot of people complaining about a few things so I felt the need to kind of clear it up. Lots say its laggy and doesn’t load well but that’s because this game is so big. It’s really a PC game so on your phone its difficult to run since the game is open world and has so many components. I went from mobile > PC and the graphics were WAAAY better and I had zero lag and way easier controls. I’ve also seen people complaining about archers and how they don't like aim mode because apparently they don't like having to hold down to aim and charge up each shot, but there is an option to lock aim mode and just tap when you want to shoot which is easier. It took me awhile to find this out so I hope it helps. Only thing I find annoying is that you have to wait for a specific day to get materials you need from a domain and that sometimes they make challenges or combat quests a little too overwhelming. I understand they are meant to be challenging but I once took at least and hour trying complete a puzzle which was a very small room with a hydro abyss mage, two large hydro slimes and a cryo and electro range hilichurl. I kept getting cornered, stunned and froze over and over and it was timed, so it was a little frustrating but I eventually got it lul.

The biggest reason I gave 3*s here is because this game is half the enjoyment on phone. The real experience comes to you only on console/pc. It's also waaay to big to keep it on phone for a longer period. Genshin will become a lot bigger in the future, seeing as there have only been added 2 out of (probably) 7 regions. So in the long run it WILL get too much for phones to handle. Other than that it's a game I can really recommend. 👍

I wish I found out about this game later when more stuff is released, that way I could grind for that much longer. I’m AR 37 and this game is super fun. I’ve spent an average of 5 hours or so everyday playing this game since I got it. I loved BOTW, it was one of my fave games, and this was obviously inspired by it, but other parts of Genshin make it unique in its own way. Great character personalities and designs, great story, and funny, interesting dialogue, entertaining gameplay... this is why it’s so addicting. I love Childe and Xiao they’re so cute. And I would’ve expected Paimon to be annoying, but she is actually really fun to have as my guide and her sassy attitude is amazing lol. Despite the traveler being silent, his replies are sassy and hilarious as well— to Paimon and to other characters in general. I’m glad his voice was added in the the voice over section of the game with Paimon. UGH, this game is just so good and I’m going to be sad once I run out of things to do on it since the game is so new. My only complaint is the ridiculous rates on Gacha. They’re not kidding when it says the chance to get a five star is .6 percent or whatever. At least make it 1 percent because dang... also, make artifacts and weapons a little bit more accessible as well. Otherwise, this is one of the best mobile games I’ve ever played. I’m happy for Mihoyo’s huge success in sales in this game as well! I’m so grateful for u guys and keep producing great content!! 💖💖

This game is insane. I’ve played now for a total of 42 days, according to HoyoLab. Easily hundreds of hours. I play every day for hours. This is the only game I'm currently investing time in. And let me say it is WORTH your time. A HUGE open world not pay to win and complete flexibility with how you play. I have invested around $20 total over the course of my time and it was for 1 character, Xiao. I didn't get him, however i did end up getting him with a free wish i received, go figure. But this is not like a normal GATCHA game. You get so many characters with the chance at more and more completely for free. You never have to spend money. There is no pay wall and the story lines are fantastic. I literally cant type out enough praise for this game. Its the best game i have played hands down in a very very long time. It does need some more end-game or late-game content, especially because at AR37 the story just stops. DEVS: This game is a huge accomplishment and you should all be proud. Its extremely ambitious, especially if you are planning on including zones that represent every element, however, keep with it. You guys can have THE best game of all time if you listen to your fan base and keep this momentum up! The lantern rite event was absolutely incredible! P.S. try and keep the tower defense mini game in! Its so much fun just to pass time! And it gives us a reason to keep playing after we finish our daily grind!

Love this game, this Genshin Impact is so awsome, there are many places you can visit, and the scenery is awsome, the graphics are good too, but you have to play it in a place with good conection, or the graphic will be ruined, and lagged allot. There are many kinds of enemies that are super fun to beat and some are nightmares. I love playing this game in coop, you can enter someones world, in total of 4 people

Pretty good game, an exact copy of another good game from another platform. BUT the update takes waaay too long (they probably try to find something else to copy). Gacha rate is quite good but no way to farm it late game, plus all they do is releasing new character to pull to gain more money. You won't have any content to use your new character though.

This game is very fun at first, it also look promising, but it become boring at endgame or ar 55+. You just have to log in, spend resin, daily commission then log out, it repetitive and feel like daily chore than having fun. The main story are too slow, after some update, the main story just updated once. Event also don't feel that fun, more like "another daily chore" because it need to play daily. I played since first release and I can't get fun of this game anymore

Amazing game but the crashing and freezing is making it unplayable. I play on a pretty good device and everything is super smooth but during loading screens and transitions, the game tends to either freeze or crash. You're frozen on the loading screen, but the game is happening as if you aren't as you can hear your character moving and attacking if you press where buttons normally are. Sometimes, the game straight up crashes instead during things like leaving domains and transitioning in co-op.

When I saw other people playing the game and say how cool everything was, how the graphics are amazing, the story is engaging, when I got the game I was excited. But when I actually opened it the screen was black. So I thought that this is just the opening screen but when I started to play, everything around me was black and I can only see a certain section of where I was. It made me really uncomfortable and I felt pain that I couldn’t play the game. I had really high hopes to be able to play it but I couldn’t. So since I wanted to play it I continued to but when I got to the part where I got sucked up in the tornado and had to fight the dragon, that’s where I gave up because my whole screen was just black and I couldn’t do anything. So when I went to the app on the App Store I saw that you would have to have the iPhone 8 or up, I got kinda mad because not everyone is able to get the newest phone. Some people don’t have that kind of money (like me). So the MAIN BIGGEST thing you can do is to let the game be playable on all mobile devices so that way everyone can be happy and play. I know this game is new and all and you guys have a lot of reviews but I think this is a main one to do or at least think about. Hope you guys see this review and react to this. 😊 Also your other game (HonkaiImpact) is REALLY good so I thought this game was gonna be good.

  • Great game but MAJOR FLAW Oct 24, 2020

    By MeowBob
First, let me just say this game is absolutely fantastic and fun to play...for a week or so. Once you hit around Adventure Rank 30 you will become gated so hard by the resin (energy) system that you can only play for 30-60min a day with meaningful progression. Resin refreshes at a rate of 1/8min so you can regenerate 180 resin per day. All content that you need to grind (Mora [in game currency], character exp, weapon enhancement mats, skill enhancement books, world bosses, weekly bosses, equipment dungeons, etc) costs 20-60 resin each! Be careful spending money in this game because they have cleverly hidden this restriction since you can play an unlimited amount through exploring the map in the early game. It will not become apparent how painfully limiting this energy system is until you have finished the current main storyline (AR30). If you are an extremely casual player who can only play an hour a day, then yes you will be able to enjoy the game for quite some time. But if you are gamer that loves to progress as much as possible and level up all your characters then you will hit a brick wall. Even if you spend money to refresh your resin, your money will only net you a few extra minutes of playtime. One star until the devs fix their energy system and actually allow people to play their game without having to spend hundreds of $$$. Such a disappointment because this is one the best games on mobile

  • Greatest rpg combat game I’ve ever played Feb 3, 2021

    By *^Star⭐️Girl_13^*
The game is AMAZING. The small little details alone, such as the flames in torches and the grass on hills leaves me in utter astonishment. The different types of characters, elements, items, ingredients, artifacts, weapons, etc... just adds so much more to the game that I cant get enough! Everyone taking a star off the rating for “lag” should make sure their phone is up-to-date, has data available and checks their model. The game specifically said it the first iPhone 8 and up, so if you have a 7 or lower that’s because of your phone, not the game. I had a 7 before and it was very laggy, but that was because it wasn’t new enough to handle all of Genshin. I have a 12 mini now and it works just fine, so please don’t take off a star for that little problem of your own. It’s different if your phone fits the model limit, has data and it up-to-date on iOS updates, then that is a game problem. Other than that, it doesn’t deserve a star off. The story itself is absolutely marvelous and keeps me guessing at every new chapter of what will happen, and the co-op mode is so much fun! It pains me to see it’s rating go down for stupid, fixable reasons. Anyways, I HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone who enjoys these types of games, even those who don’t! I’m not a big fan of them, but Genshin it the exception. 10/10 would recommend, especially to anime lovers. Paimon’s japanese voice is just- 🥺🥰.

  • Runs pretty good on mobile 💃 Nov 10, 2020

I think the game is super fun and in the past few weeks I’ve already gotten to ar 31! I love the characters and story lines, the only complaints I have are about the gacha and the mobile app. The gacha system isn’t too bad compared to other but it definitely isn’t the best. To get a 5 star character you want is extremely hard if you don’t have luck. Having to spend money for more primo gems to get something good is inevitable. Every 90 wishes guarantees you a 5 star but that’s only if you’re wishing on the same banner. And that 5 star isn’t guaranteed to be a character. The free characters you get while playing the game are descent, but the characters obtained from wishes are definitely more desirable. The mobile app is great except occasionally it glitched and kicks me out of the game. The loading screen had been working fine until recently, whenever I try to play I have to wait on the white loading screen for about 2 minutes before actually being able to play. Which isn’t bad but it definitely isn’t practical. The other thing is when one of the story lines includes “animations scenes” or some bigger scenes it always glitches on my iPad. Which is such a bummer because I would love to see the beautiful scenes 🥺. My I pad is fairly new being a gen 7 so I guess there are some glitches to be expected since it’s mobile and not a pc. But overall I love this game to death and the cute characters that come along :))

  • A few problems Mar 20, 2021

    By Leahmailovesanimals
The game is really fun I play it everyday and work hard to try and get new characters but there is one problem, I spend about a month to get 10 wishes and I get really excited and with on the banner for a new character, the problem is, I’d that every time I wish I always get the same characters, yeah it’ll improve my character but the thing is, it only gives me the beginner characters that I don’t use anymore and it makes me really sad because I’m working everyday really hard sometimes all night and it just feels impossible to even get a new character, today I tried to pull for venti but sadly got Noelle. Noelle is an amazing character but I don’t use her anymore and isn’t strong enough for my team, I just wish it was easier to get new characters instead of getting the same ones over and over again, the last time I got a new character was 2 months ago and it’s been a challenge for me to get a new character. Just 1 new character isn’t to much to ask for it really isn’t. It makes me feel like I have the worst luck in the game because of how hard I work just for nothing, I am grateful for what I get but it’s just getting out of hand for me. Please Mihoyo, make it easier for small players to get new characters. I’m still stuck with the beginner characters and I really need new characters. Yes I’m probably overreacting or making a big fuss about it but it’s not funny anymore, wanting just 1 new character isn’t to much to ask for.

Overall , it's really good i've played only for a rew months and i'm enjoying it. the reason i've had given 4 stars is that whenever i do web events it'll always tell me "Unable to find the character on the current server" i put my email though. please fix this, this was the reason i couldn't play previous events and it's upsetting i hope you'll be able to fix this soon enough.

This game is absolutely amazing! But im experiencing a huge problem right now. Just after Venti's banner, everything became really laggy and i couldn't play for days (everything was surprisingly fine days before that). The issue got worse- i cant even move a bit anymore because it's lagging so much that it looks like a really really slow google presentation. I tried deleting like 6 programs and many many pictures/music/videos and more. Other programs work fine. It might just be my phone problem

This game is great because of the very big open world where you can run, fly and explore while having a great time fighting monster and grinding to become strong. The only thing that I dont like is that even though this is the mobile version, the requirements of this game is very high that only a few phones can handle smoothly

This is the best game that I encounter, but after for those updates I encountered so many problems first, I can't do the Co-op anymore because when I accept players, making it to go loading, the game shutting down, making to restart again waiting for more than 3 minutes every single time. Second, I can't play the windblume event now, because it always glitches and make the game again glitch. Lastly, it only takes up 3 teleportation and after that, the game shut down again. Please fix this Mihoyo

It was very fun with breathtaking graphics & a massive world to explore. Sadly, ever since the update 1.4 the game has been constantly crashing every 15-30 minutes, not to mention the constant freeze during the loading that accompany it. It's also even worse in co-op And there has been lacks of actual content this past few updates. Hopefully, they will at least optimize the game for low end devices & a fix for the constant crash in the next update.

  • The game doesn’t translate well to mobile Oct 23, 2020

    By KingVII412
Genshin impact is a great game. very fun to play, engaging story, and aside from being a BoW clone it has an element of uniqueness to it. Over all a great game, but just not quite there on mobile. Has a lot of lag, but on top of that doesn’t provide the must haves for mobile gaming. The game doesn’t provide an option to rearrange ur hub layout, which is super surprising Bc this is a simple service that is provided by almost all newer mobile games. The game isn’t claw sensitive, for example if ur using an archer and you do an aimed shot, the game doesn’t allow u to hold the shoot bottom with one finger and aim with another which is really annoying. It’s not always a problem but it definitely get in the way. The game also isn’t compatible with a controller which is also surprising. It’s seems like the games has an obsolete approach to mobile gaming which is weird Bc the game legit just came out. Aside from the hiccups it’s a great game, just a way better game on every other platform. Take for example Fortnite mobile, epic was able to take the experience players had on pc and console and give it to mobile players. To the point where some mobile players were able to out preform some console players. That’s was amazing on epics part. Genshin hasn’t be able to make the game comfortable to mobile players and that why I’m giving it a 3. If this was a review on p4 I’d give it a 5. Devs not to make the game a better experience on mobile

  • It's a Scam, But I Don't Care Feb 8, 2021

    By one weird kiddo
This game is pretty good! Its fun to play with friends. Im not sure how the performance is on mobile because im a PC player, but it runs smoothly and it looks good. But there are some massive flaws with this game. As a F2P player, its very hard to get literally anything in this game. No, I don't want Lisa constellations I want a 5 star. Yes, thank you for the pity system, but its literally so hard to get a 5 star. It costs so much money/time that its honestly insane. Plus, the resin system is also like.. yk.. bad. Domains are super hard to get anything worthwhile from if you are below ar 45, and I yknow, need artifacts to get to ar 45. And I feel like the wish system is literally so biased (ik thats not how it works but like jfc), like, I'll see people who will draw 3 5 stars in one pull then 3 4 star characters. How is that fair? like the story but sometimes it gets a little confusing. And this game gets so boring after ar 40, I am aware that It's not fully released yet, but like, the only things that you are able to do is grind for artifacts in the same boring repetitive domain over and over again and then get nothing. So basically, this game is a scam. But do I care? Not really, this game is fun to play sometimes, I like the story, and it's really pretty. (It's fun to beat stuff up). Overall, I'd say if you have amazing luck, play this! Otherwise, do Not touch this game unless you want to suffer

Hope you guys see this review and react to this. 😊 Also your other game (HonkaiImpact) is REALLY good so I thought this game was gonna be good.

  • We will be reunited quests problems? Apr 18, 2021

By random name all names taken
When I first turned to AR 40 I was very happy, cause I was able to do some multiple story quests, and do the we will be reunited quest I except it to be not so hard nor easy, fighting the Abyss Harald is annoying when you fight it for the last time literally a abyss mages summons and I won’t just go over to the mages to fight it cause I will still die while dodging them, this make me fighting a level 68 Boss like and 2 Abyss Mages that Ice and Fire and causes Melt, I tried for 3 times and just gave up its to complicated trying to do cause my team is average and didn’t decide how I wanted to be yet. I even tried it with a healer also known as Barbara and she died when the boss was at Half of the health, I was pretty much dissatisfied after almost dying to the run hunter, ruin guard. Its just to complicated to complete I know the Abyss Harald is like the big enemy and you have to kill it but you didn’t had add a Abyss mages! It makes it more difficult and now I cant do CO-OP what’s the point of doing that when the quests doesn’t even have CO-OP this is really stupid. Overall I think you should at least remove 1 Abyss Mage or at least find a way to make the battle easier cause I am not doing the quest for long until my party can actually manage some Ruin Hunters trying to kill me.

  • It’s Ok Feb 20, 2021

It is up to personal preference but it is too much of storybook or movie for me. The gameplay it has is redundant collection, long walks to waypoints you usually don’t have yet type of games. It has tons of cutscenes and dialogue screens. It has a decent story but in my opinion it’s overbearing. Now I don’t want to narc on this game, I liked the combat and characters I started playing Genshin the first week it came out. But I have just grown tired of the routine like gameplay. It has great graphics and the characters overall are likable. But backing up, the missions that aren’t story quests are usually the same old mission you have played 20x before. The side quest are long enough to be actual storylines themselves and the spacing of way points in is bothersome. They usually get you kind of close to where you are going. But some quests have you out where there is 30 minutes of climbing and no waypoint to avoid climbing forever. So if you are a story driven player this game is for you. but if you like unique fights you mostly face the same enemies. Cutscenes and run about missions throw you into the action then pull you right back out of it. I wanted to love Genshin but it just isn’t my game, not that it’s Mihoyo’s fault they can’t make everyone happy no matter how hard they try.

  • Great game but MAJOR FLAW Oct 24, 2020

This game is by far the best for a free game, the story is amazing, the graphics are stunning, the music is beautiful, however, my slight complaint with this game is similar to ramēn’s review, yet again another game that is lower quality on mobile. Same thing happens on my gen 7 iPad and I at least think it would be fair to fix the animation cutscenes from stuttering, the rest I can deal with, but the stuttering is just too annoying... don’t get me wrong, like I said at the beginning, this game is very fun and enjoyable when all is added up, not to mention it’s ranked as the #1 game (as of January) in the App Store and has a lot of positive reviews. I just wish I don’t have to have a pc just to get a better experience out of it. Oh yeah, and also I’m stuck on adventure rank 31 because the COMMISSIONS ARE TOO FRIGGIN HARD, how do you think I’m supposed to make my way over to someone who ordered food AND defeat 3 Pyro slimes including a mega slime in under 2 minutes?! so to the person who wrote a review with the title “you won’t regret downloading this game” I have a statement for you, the only thing I’m not going to regret is uninstalling this game! How disappointing 😒. I’m sorry if at this point I’m sounding like an App Store Karen, but I don’t see a point in putting this game in the mobile App Store if it’s not fully playable for MOBILE USERS. Thank you for at least reading

  • Cash grab scheme Mar 8, 2021

Has some of the worst pull rates I’ve ever seen in a gacha. You can spend $450 on genesis crystals and still not get the character you want. The sad part is people are spending thousands of dollars to get these characters and the developers know the low rates bring profits. They’ve figured out that people will pay massive amounts of cash to win, even if the rates are nearly impossible. People will literally spend themselves into debt to get these characters. Developers know this and take full advantage of it. The developers constantly ignore player feedback and don’t care what anyone thinks. Imagine paying a PS5 for each 5* character you want. That’s how much people shell out per character. It should be illegal to take advantage of people this way, but then again, if someone’s dumb enough to pay that much it’s hard to feel bad for them. All I will say is don’t get sucked into the trap, people. Stay away. If you ARE going to play this, I strongly recommend spending absolutely nothing. You should still be able to clear most of the game and not go broke in the process. Seriously, don’t spend a single dollar. It won’t get you anything anyway. Not with an 0.6% pull chance. The game itself could have been good, but the predatory design is wrong and not something I can support. For me, it’s too hard to enjoy the game knowing how greedy this company is.

  • Great starting out. Terrible endgame. Dec 7, 2020

I know there’s more content coming out which is great but once you finish the story so far the games true character comes out. It’s nothing but a cash grab. Once you have beaten the story everything left to requires money to do. Console quality graphics and story. Mobile game mechanics and monetization. This game is a gacha game meaning there’s a gambling element to it. For characters and weapons. Compares to other games in this category the rates for pulling characters and weapons are FAR lower than other games and the cost for pulling is twice as much as most other games. Character progression is gated behind an energy system on top of a grinding system. Most other games of this type are far more generous with their energy system. It gets worse. You can spend hundreds trying to get a specific top tier character you want but only to realize that the character is in balanced to the point where he is out classed by mid tier characters. Once the entire players base is up in arms about this the developer responds basically with “lol git gud”. So my advice for everyone is enjoy the game for what it is. Take your time to go through the story and don’t spend a single time. Use the free rolls you earn and don’t spend another time trying to pull anything else. It’s just not worth it.
