  • Have played for 3 years and lost my game. Feb 25, 2020

    By Avendesora4
So 10 days ago my game was lost. I would give this game a 5 star until this happened. My game kept crashing since 2 updates ago. I followed the instructions and deleted the game and reloaded it. Game was GONE! So I followed the support instructions for game recovery. Didn’t work. So I wrote support as it said to do. After 5 days no response. I wrote again. Got a automated response telling me to do what I had already done. So I wrote back letting them know and asking them to reload my game with all the info asked for in the instructions. I got an automated message telling me to do the same as the 1st message. So I sent a message back explaining I already had and asked them to reload my game and included all my game info. 4 more days passed and NOTHING. So on day 9 I filled out the Facebook support form and immediately got an email telling me the steps to go into the app and contact Support there! So I went back into the app and again sent a request explains all the steps I had tried. This time I got a in-app response with an agent name on it but they OBVIOUSLY didn’t read my email because they listed the normal steps and asked me to try them first. So I again wrote back telling them I had tried as my request stated. I don’t get it. I have sent them screen shots of my old game ID number and ALL the info they asked for including the Date/Time stamp of the last played correct game. Nothing! Don’t know what else to do.

  • The Nicest Game Ever Oct 16, 2017

This is, seriously, the "nicest" game on the internet. Austin is like your super-supportive friend, who's so positive it's almost creepy, but you gotta love him, because he's just so nice. I started playing this game as part of an offer to earn gold in another game I play, and I've been a daily player ever since. The match-3 levels are pretty addictive and challenging, and they're always changing and adding new features, so it stays fresh and interesting. At the same time, you're fixing up the gardens and having adventures with Austin. All the neighbors you meet are fun characters, with interesting backstories. It's all gorgeously rendered, and totally bug-free. You can play offline. Fun little events happen pretty frequently. Best of all, there's practically ZERO ad-presence... you have the option of watching videos for coins from time to time, but ads are never shoved in your face. I think this game is designed to appeal to older adults-- hence, the 80's-supermarket-style music, but I really think anyone can have fun with it. I am seriously just impressed with the quality of it. The only things I'd potentially change about this one: faster recharge on lives, different music options, and more customization options for the garden decor. But it's serously pretty great as it is.

I like this game very much this is an interesting game that I have played and one time I have deleted this by some storage issue but when I download it again I thought that it will start from beginning but it is started from the same level where I have leave it. I agree with that people was saying that the mini games are very less to play but the levels are interesting.people who are saying that the levels are difficult you just need to focus on that level. And it will be clear. Thank You..😀

  • Great...at first. Aug 7, 2020

Lots of fun at first. But when you attain higher levels the game becomes more difficult. This is not due to the levels necessarily being harder, but because the algorithm that control play works against you. Unreasonably inadequate lives during each play, no matching icons where they are needed. Bombs and color blasts are placed in areas of the board where they do little or no good. The Orangery Challenge is a good example. In the past is was easy to obtain enough wins to progress and win hours of free play. Now I only get the OC when I am on a Hard, or Super Hard level and I NEVER beat that level, so the challenge is meaningless. Be prepared to either spends boatloads of money, or be stuck on a level for days and even weeks. I understand that they are in the business of making money, but the unfair obstacles discourage me from paying for lives or boosters. Why pay to be frustrated? I play another Playrix game called Fishdom. I play the games back to back, the same amount of play. A little over a year ago I was consistently around 100 levels ahead in GardenScapes over Fishdom. Then GS began to slow to a crawl. I am now over 800 levels ahead in Fishdom over GS. 800+ levels in just a bit over a year! I will still buy lives and power ups in Fishdom because I know I will not be frustrated by the type of unfair treatment I receive in Gardenscapes. By all means, play the game. It is fun. Just keep in mind that the fun doesn’t last after a certain level.

The game is great so many things to do I love how it’s not your everyday puzzle game. You finish a puzzle and get stars and actually get to do something like making the garden beautiful. I do wish there were easier ways to get money to buy the extra garden designs examples the fairytale and Greek looking garden options or drop the price because over 8000 for some will take forever to get also it’d be nice for more options of getting lives not everyone has friends that can send lives to them or can get into one of those alliances with a lot of active people so I think a way to get lives easier would be nice I get so into the game then get stuck waiting thirty minutes just for one life. I love the game though other than that I definitely can’t complain it’s so much fun. I also love how they give you chances to change the house I think we should get an option to paint the house the colors we want also it’ll give it even more of our own personal touch to the house when not using the holiday themes. Keep up the great work. I’d of given 5 stars but because of those few things I feel would help the game I gave 4 hopefully in time I can give that 5th star because this game definitely deserves it please consider adding better ways to get lives and money to buy in game items and painting the house for our own personal touch for when we aren’t using one of the holiday themes.

More then a game, it feels like a bank cc's statement. Prompting you every other moment for purchases. Game itself is not balanced. It might be the only Spin Wheel in thr universe which does not have a constant speed and stops and slows down or moves fast if you are about to hit the Jackpot. Rainbow charge is the same well, sometimes charges with 2 fireworks and sometimes you need 2-3 TNTs for it. 900 coins for 5 additional moves only? It's enjoyable when the levels are challenging. But it's really no fun when the levels are impossible to complete. For many of the levels the only way to successfully complete them is by making in app purchases. I guess because there are no in app ads they rely on purchases to make their money. As I said earlier in the higher levels the only way to successfully complete the challenge is to purchase extra lives. There are plenty of other puzzle games available that are much more enjoyable to play

Has some interesting challenges in play. some levels are frustrating though. The rewards do seem a bit sparse given the difficulty of the levels. seems to me that certain super hard levels should be worth more than 1 point. when it can take a week to defeat a really hard level, you actually feel cheated to only get one point. rewards seem a bit stingy to be honest at certain times. I wish there were additional ways to earn stars. Here's hoping that may happen.

I have had this game for three years, and I love it more than any other game I have ever downloaded. I love how many things austin can say. The graphics are amazing! I like how when ever you click on something it makes a noise, like if you tap bush is makes a like bush sound or if you click on ice it makes an ice clinking sound. The sheer effort they put into the little social page you can click on is so cute, like im sure not too many people look at it, but its always there, ya know? I love gardening in real life, and I love gardening in the game too, its just so green and lush I love it. If I get to a hard level, I may just stop playing for a few months, but in the end I will always come back. I love my dog (his name is goose!), and how sometimes theres those little training levels. I love the background music its so calming. I do wish there was a way, if you truly needed to, to skip a level like maybe a special ticket thats only available from the treasure chest on the daily wheel. Im 17 years old (female) and my friends sometimes make fun of me for playing it and they call me an old lady but I dont care, I will play this game as long as it exists. I dream to one day finish my beautiful garden alongside my trusty butler, Austin:)

Some irritating things about the game. 1. Sometimes you'll get stuck in a particular level for a long time. 2. The "Lucky Spin" will never let you win the jackpot. I have tried many tricks also tried thousands of time. 3. You'll get maximum 5 lives or you'll get unlimited life for 30 minutes or 1 hour but if you quit during play you'll lose all the benefits Except these things overall it's an interesting game and have that potential to make you addicted for it.

  • Addicting, But Frustrating Nov 13, 2017

    By GoldenTree12
First of all, I want to say that I love absolutely love this game! It is very well advertised, and it is such good quality. I really enjoy the storyline and the beautiful garden. However, I do have a couple of problems with this game. During the first couple of days I easily went through and played the levels. However, when I hit the 60’s it got hard. Now, I’m not complaining about the difficulty level, but there is a frustrating cycle when you just can’t complete a level. If you don’t have enough coins to buy more moves, then you don’t have enough coins to buy a power up. You can spin the wheel every day to win prizes, but you rarely get something you can use to win that level. Also, if you can’t when the levels and you don’t get any stars, and if you don’t get any stores and you can’t complete any of the challenges and win coins! You see where I’m going with this? It’s almost like the game is forcing you to purchase coins if you need an extra boost I a level.😕 Even after all this, I still love this game and gave it four stars for its originality and fun! I do ask that there be an easier way to get coins, though, like on Homescapes when you check in consecutively, you get coin rewards. I think that would be a great addition to Gardenscapes! Thank you to all the creators of this game, you guys are awesome!

  • Addictive, too easy to spend money. Apr 15, 2020

    By 10001dp
This is a fun, entertaining, story telling, somewhat educational game. The artwork is nice, the logic to keeping you playing has been thought out, and it is pretty easy to play. You can win each level without power ups, but it is real tempting and very easy to buy power ups or to extend game just a few more plays. I have spent too much money in this game and am about ready to end it. But it was my choice to spend the money and Apple sends you a report on your expenditures so you can say WHAT! One big problem, when you run out of battery and your devices powers down (ok, that is the players fault), when you power back up and re-enter the game and the last level you were playing, the game thinks you had lost the level and the power ups you had stored in the bucket or chest are gone!!! The developers might consider not removing the power ups until after the last move of a level that ends the level, not during a crash. I lost a full chest of power ups after this loss of power crash (I did not plug in the iPad in time) and am finding it almost impossible to recover, or I need to spend more money. And I am done spending money. Time for me to move on, but I hope the developers can fix this issue. Until they do, don’t run out of power while playing this game!

  • Fun but annoying Mar 29, 2019

This game is definitely addicting and can be fun, but also very frustrating at times. As others have mentioned the levels get progressively harder as you go on. You can end up wasting lots of power ups and coins trying to beat a level and still lose. Also the rewards stay pretty much the same so you’re basically always getting diminishing returns as you play. But by far the most annoying thing for me is the multi-step process needed to restart a level when you lose or decide to quit. Whenever there is any kind of challenge active where you have to collect things or earn rewards, there is always a pop up where Austin asks if you are ABSOLUTELY SURE you want to lose your rewards/collected items from that level, trying to get you to use your coins and continue. Yes Austin, I am 100% sure I would rather give up these 15 apples I matched than waste my coins on 5 more useless moves that will bring me no where close to winning the level. Of course there is no option to disable these popups, probably because they are just a poorly disguised attempt to get people to spend money on coins. This used to be less of a problem because there weren’t always challenges going on so usually there would be no popup. Now the challenges are constant, and I have to mash the end level button multiple times to blow through Austin’s unhelpful advice every single time I lose or quit.

  • Great Game, But... Oct 2, 2020

    By Ikster123
So, I’ve been playing this game for a while (and I mean a while...) like, close to the 7,000 level range and I’ve been having mixed feelings with this game. First of all I do enjoy playing it, but I have a few complaints for some levels. I’ve seen a response where the developers left a message saying all levels are beatable without power ups. While this may be true, the levels are very random. What I mean is this, if you replay a level, fruits or whatever is there don’t say in the same place. You will have to reset the level just to be able to make a huge blast power up to help clear levels. Some levels also have so few turns that it’s super hard to beat unless you get a perfect start. Sometimes you’re forced to you a power up or all 3 to just clear a stage. Especially in the later stages, you would need to keep as many power ups just for that purpose. I have played stages as well where easy stages would act as hard or expert levels, and have few amounts of turns. The same with certain hard levels where it instead should be an expert level. I do love the fact that there are these challenges where you can beat a level consecutively to earn extra power ups. Those definitely help, but you can easily lose them. So, while I do love the game, I have to give it a 3 out of 5 stars. Just because of the the way some of the levels are made.

  • Fun, but the game cheats to try to get your money Jun 4, 2018

    By living.lucid
I’ve been playing this for many months now, and while I enjoy the premise and the gameplay, I found that the game purposely tries to prevent me leveling up. I currently have 23 extra lives (probably the 5th or 6th time I’ve accumulated this amount) that I got from the daily spin. I purposely press the stop button on different parts of the wheel, and yet I STILL get extra lives every time. It’s totally fixed. I’ve found myself stuck on levels for weeks because what I really need is a power up to give me the edge to pass the level, but I’m buried alive in extra lives instead. Additionally, I’ve found that if I start blowing through levels too quickly, the game will purposely make my lose a level by refusing to drop the needed shape. I’ve had more than twelve moves left to me after gathering all the gnomes or the lemonade but one, and despite making matches right beneath where I need things to be rearranged, the game will just keep dropping useless shapes for all of my 12 moves and purposely prevent me from winning. I’ve noticed that the only way to combat this programmed cheating is to just stop playing. I won’t open the app for days and then suddenly the game provides everything I need to pass a level I’d been stuck on for 9 days. It’s very frustrating, and there have been several times I’ve considered just deleting it.

I'd like to give this game more stars because I've enjoyed it, but every other or third level is either hard/super hard. I just completed a hard level & immediately got another hard level! Then I get a level not listed as hard/super hard, but is actually more difficult to beat! This is supposed to be a game. Fun.I don't want to play a game where every single level takes multiple attempts to pass. No wonder I have never been able to finish a special room! Thinking about uninstalling.

  • Fun but frustrating Mar 19, 2020

    By Lockets Rock
I got started because I enjoy getting away from every day stressful life. This game is extremely frustrating. They’ve dropped the amount of moves you make at each level, and it’s now more a “pay to play” game. Constantly promoting competitions, etc. but to achieve any kind of awards you need to pay for bonuses, lives, etc. to move forward. Yes, it’s your choice to pay or not...however when/if you don’t, you can be stuck on a level days or weeks! No exaggeration! And if you use bonuses to start with that you can win 1 each day spinning a wheel, they put the bonus (bomb, rainbow, etc) in a useless spot that you either have to use immediately to make your next move, nullifying the bonus or putting it somewhere where it’s stuck and you can’t use at all. It was fun to begin with...my favorite part is decorating the garden...I really enjoy that and competing with my team for prizes. However to continually get stuck with no chance of winning before your time is up and then because you’re not advancing you can’t compete for prizes in competitions and get rewards, not fun. Unless and until they fix some issues (others complain about constant crashes, missing awards, etc) and reinstate the moves you took away a few months ago... I may be done. Sad when all a game thinks about is how much money they can take as well as enjoyment. And tech support is non-existent. Gamer beware....

  • Game can quickly become a money pit Jan 27, 2018

    By appcritic512
Only gets 2 stars because this game is deliberately designed to quickly become a money pit. Decorating the garden should be fun, but this game is designed to frustrate the hell out of any player unwilling to spend real cash to buy coins which are required for everything from Austin’s (lazy butler) chores to answering the stupid phone and feeding the dog. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GAME! If you purchase coins, they won’t go far because the stupid match puzzle crap you’re required to play and beat will consume your coins in no time. Each puzzle level is designed to require more moves than a player is given to eliminate obstacles to: find gnomes (there are always too many), get rid of acorns, collect specified items (fruit, water drops, etc). Each level increases in difficulty, but the rewards DO NOT increase, nor do the boosters, etc. needed to play the higher, more difficult levels. If you have a physical or learning disability, this game is literally impossible to play and advance in because the stupid puzzles are too difficult to manage. Pity the developers didn’t make this game more user friendly for individuals with physical or learning challenges by providing advancement options to complete other than the stupidly difficult and unrewarding puzzles. ☹️ DELETING GAME...won’t waste money on it and refuse to waste time on stupid online forums plowing thru drivel looking for shortcuts and hints.

I have been stuck on a level ever since, and I used all power ups, and even spent coins to add extra life, and wasted them, because I still didn't pass the level. This is the reason I will not purchase coins or power ups. The game is fixed and let's you win when they allow you to. They know there's not enough moves, and some levels power up can make it more difficult to bet the level. It use to be fun, but not when you're stuck on a level .!!
