  • Fun, but the energy system is awful Feb 16, 2021

    By MonkeyNazi
It’s fine at first when levels are 1 energy to play, but it slowly starts to ramp up to the point where you maybe play for 10 minutes before you have to wait for hours again. It takes the suspense away from the game when you beat levels up until the boss, only to realize the boss stage is 5 times as expensive to play as the level before it. So you wait. There is a very fun game underneath all the waiting, but the developers decided to punish normal players in order to squeeze out pennies from whales who are willing to spend money to play a free game some more. I’ll see if this game can keep my interest for a few more days while I battle with when the game will even let me play. After that, it might just be forgotten as wasted potential.
  • Great Game, Annoying Tutorial Mar 28, 2021

    By Cno2x2
This game is quite fun and unique. The characters are interesting and the fights are decently balanced. The only problem I’ve encountered is the tutorial. Once it’s finished, you still randomly get tutorials every time you level up or unlock something. My biggest peeve about this is the waste of resources. Not only do they force you to waste your first talent point on a one star character you can almost instantly replace, but after spending 6 levels grinding through the tutorials and a few extra battles, they force you to spend your first hard earned gems (very few free ones so far) rather than letting you save up for a discounted 10x draw or giving you a free first draw like most gacha games do.

I have been playing the game for two months now and it’s interesting. The challenge of making the best possible move in the allotted time is unique. The differing skills across the heroes adds to the challenge since you get to select which heroes to bring to each fight. I will say that the devs are living up to their goal of being very friendly to f2p players. The drawback to this, or perhaps it is because the is still expanding, is that features are constantly changing without warning. So if you’re f2p it should only affect your time and you can adjust to all of the changes as you go. If you spend, be aware that you will quite possibly not receive entirely what was expected.

This is an excellent game. Made by people who's love for things like good fantasy fiction, entertaining strategy games, and good humor is obvious, and undoubtedly genuine. This sleek looking, challenging, and extremely fun game will keep you coming back, over and over. Rewarding for those who are f2p, but don't be afraid to spend a few dollars on it. The game is worth it, and the devs really deserve it.

Hopping over characters to position them in time is unnecessarily tedious. For new players, your characters often don’t align where you want them before time runs out. It would be more welcoming to just allow players to move their characters where they want with a short time limit. I quit out of frustration because of this mechanic.

Fairly good game, though it has issues on my phone sometimes directing me to click on buttons just off the edge of the screen. I wish the chase the dragon quest was longer, I only got about half way through it. This feels like it will become a pay to win game, I am glad it isn't a pay to play game but the more important monetary transactions become the less fun the game is.

This is both a very good game, and kind of a disappointment. The Good: Fun and engaging strategic puzzle-battles. Leveling up your account is paced well, coop battles are fun. The Okay: The events offer cool prizes, but are too short to complete. The base building progression makes sense but starts too slow. Recent balance update, but will take a lot more to make classes balanced. The Bad: gacha system is exclusively for paying players. Hero progression is at a snails pace. Guilds need love.

Friends and Dragons is a well-conceived puzzle tactics game that does what it does very well: chess-like maneuvering and M:tG-like character evaluation. The art and game design make this a pleasurable experience all-around.

Fun game mechanic, but hero classes seem very unbalanced. Game is constantly randomly crashing on my Galaxy tablet, have to reload the app, sometimes multiple times right after logging in. Pretty sure I never received my reward after completing an event quest, it just said I needed to wait 12 hours, then never got anything. I think I was supposed to get a premium summon scroll, but don't think I got one.

So much potential. If a FREE gamewants you to pay for cosmetic things I get that. Pay to level up faster? I mean they all do that right? Pay to play more than a couple times a day because your sitting there waiting for energy? There's a line and this game has Crossed it. Can't confirm or deny how accurate it is about low gens because I have played less than 24 hours and already have to wait half an hour to play 1 level

Game has great mechanics that leave you wanting to play more but...the gem system is wack. You only gain about 50 (F2P) gems a day and cannot buy most of anything with that. Summons cost 300 gems and have an extremely low drop rate for 5 star (highest rating) champion. You can drop $50 and never get a 5 star! The energy system is busted and only allows you to play a few minutes then makes you wait hours to play more. Clan leaders aren't kicked for inactivity. This game needs lots of work!

Game is fun, but playing is locked behind energy requirements that are way too high. Instead of wanting money for extra stuff to make the game more enjoyable, they want you to just not play unless you pay them money it seems. You can only play a few levels before you run out of energy. So instead of playing and spending money. I just put down my phone and move on to something else eveni run out of energy. One of these times I'm just not going to come back to this game
  • This game is a scam May 1, 2021

The game has a great concept and is fun, but each update brings new bugs. Report the bugs and support will resolve things right? No, all you get is a message that they will fix it, your ticket immediately closed, and the problems never get fixed for weeks and sometimes months. The bugs are still there preventing you from completing missions, quests, moving heroes, etc. This game is a scam to get your money.
  • Nice, BUT endgame is not free to play friendly Apr 21, 2021

    By drksmite
This has been one of my favorite games. The concepts are neat. The levels are fun. But this game is not very friendly to free to players when you get to high levels. Some puzzles require very specific combos of a team to get past the randomness of the bad guys. Unless you pay out money to get stronger upgrades, you hit the paywall. If you make buggy purchases accidentally, the admins will not help you. They say too bad. I cannot 5 star this game because of the end game and staffing issues.

Fine on the surface, a mess underneath. Duplicate heroes can only be scrapped, ascending heroes requires you to be such a high level, you'll stop playing the game before ever doing so. Energy to play is very limited and takes about six minutes to gain 1 energy when you'll need about 3-10 to play a single level. The game spawns so many enemies that only magic heroes and heroes that can attack diagonally are useful in normal levels. Forming a working team is all luck and summons are trash.

I don’t get what these developers are thinking. No one else tries to stop you from using the products that they sell. You can play for 10 minutes before the game won’t let you anymore. Not even worth the download.

Great game. But u lose 4 stars due to the high energy cost. I will be uninstalling this game just bc of this. Day one I have eng I do 4 battles then I am out. Oh I don't even win. So I lose all eng, unable to upgrade bc I can't win then wait 12 hours just to fail all over. Really u get a special eng to have friends help u in battle and this don't regen over time.

Battle system is a joke, needs reworked desperately. And you gain levels too fast to keep your heroes even with your level. Unless you get incredibly lucky, or rich, you will be stuck leveling only one main group of heroes the whole time. Great idea and concept, just needs alot of work to make it enjoyable.

love the game, not to difficult not to easy just right, the character design are awesome, I have no idea what other aspects you can improve it's a well designed game. (I personally wish it was more 3D battles instead love it none the less)

Excellent mechanics and fun collection. I think the biggest thing holding the game back is character art. The style is a little generic and loose, feels unfinished. Re:art fundamentals, the value is all the same. Squint your eyes and the characters disappear. Strong lighting/painting would really help. Darkening backgrounds is low hanging fruit that would help the bright characters pop on the Hero Inspector screen. Characters have strong silhouettes, they are just lost in the bright sea of color

hard to progress, yes energy caps. I dont mind it as much as most because i have other things to do and lther games to play so not that hige a deal to me. And i do like the support reached out to get the intel required to improve their game. My guess gaming comany without a huge product line so they actually care what players think now lets just seeif they care enough to make the improvements that people suggest... They know that ultamately the more people enjoy playing the more money they spend

I really like it, energy should be non existent, otherwise its a nice time killer. I still haven't reached hero retirement, I don't know if there's hero fusion or what to do with lvl1 duplicates. Progress to receive heroes is slow if You dont pay, should be some proper events like summon X times to get rewards periodically or make lucky wheel etc. But for these to be worth it even a little bit without paying, there needs to be something where players recieve more heroes apart that daily 1-3star

High on strategy, medium on character building, and light on kingdom building-- just the right mix for me! And no ads! My only critique is that you can't play a lot in one sitting, have to wait till your energy fills up.

The gameplay is unique and addicting. Try it out to see what I mean. The reason 4 instead of 5 stars is its a little p2w. If your f2p you can do it, but you might need to reroll a few times.

No idea why energy is a thing in this game. It's an intentional money grabber. Guilds are almost pointless, it only offers support heroes. Can't trade or rid of heroes you don't want. Hero progression is questionable, and city upgrade tier is 🐌 pace. This game needs some TLC. THE BATTLE SYSTEM IS AWESOME. Best turn style puzzle combat there is. Everything else needs work.

Invincible enemies for one hit and they put like 10-15 of them in a room, it's not a puzzle game it's a luck game at that point. I was going to spend money on this game because I really enjoyed it; I'm glad I didn't will probably uninstall soon due to those enemies
