Limited and inaccurate!
Oct 20, 2017 It does work as a frequency meter but is somewhat limited. It doesn’t work on frequencies below 150 HZ . I tested it on 150HZ then 120 HZ. It showed a harmonic of 120 HZ. 99 cents would have been a fair price. Especially since it appropriated the fluke meter style to elicit confidence and imply compared results.more -
Fantastic App
Mar 3, 2017 Used this app for my AP Physics lab, worked fantastically -
Science Project
Mar 17, 2013 My daughter and I used this frequency meter for a science project measuring the vibration frequency of guitar strings. At first it seemed that it didn't work at all (as mentioned in a previous review). However, I then realized that we were working in a frequency range that was very likely below the realistic frequency response of the internal iPad microphone (I'm guessing around 100 Hz). When we moved to a smaller string and at higher tensions, the frequency meter locked right in and gave very consistent and reliable results.more -

Nov 8, 2014 I got it for my speech. I had a stroke last year and lost my ability to speak now I'm very monotone I'm hoping this will help.

Disappointed
Mar 27, 2015 Seems to be inaccurate. Reads a constant 10 hz higher when trying to get an A440 tone from both a MIDI keyboard and an accordion both of which are tuned precisely to exactly 440 hz . Meter reads 430.33, unimpressed and regret not reading previous reviews before spending $3 on this appmore -
Don't waste your $2.99 like I did
Dec 6, 2016 This is a joke. I think it was designed by a 3rd grader. No features at all. I didn't read the reviews before I bought it and sure wish I would have. I never leave reviews but this time it's a must if that tells you anything.more -
Crashes on open!!!!
Mar 16, 2015 This does not work in the current version of iOS! Every time I press the go button it crashes! -
Useless
Nov 21, 2017 I wish I read the reviews before I bought this. My own stupidity. -
Junk
Mar 2, 2015 No instructions are provided on how to use, making this $2.99 worth of garbage on my iPad.

Completely inaccurate
May 10, 2016 Fancy looking junk
What’s Groovy
2 problems that make me want my $2.99 back:
1) I can't analyze frequencies without recording a file.
2) The frequency meter actually just shows you which note (A/A#/B/etc.) you are closest to, not the actual frequency of the note you are playing.

What’s Subpar
I just need an app that accurately tells me the frequency of s tone played through a speaker. This one kind of does that, for the first note presented to it, but fails to change its output when the tone changes. It sort of works if I keep shutting it down and restarting it, but that’s not very convenient. Also, it would be nice to have some documentation as to what the controls are supposed to do and what the display is supposed to indicate.
