Great experience. I have been able to train with a "just ok" difficulty. I feel challenged, and at the same time encouraged. The app is detecting correctly how I improve. The first week was hard, but now I have been able to train 5 times/week without skipping a single day in 2 months. Good job

Honestly this is one of the best Apps ever. In my line of work I already workout every week Day in the morning but I decided to give this app a try for my evening workouts when I am bored with nothing else to do. I was super impressed after the first workout. Every workout or exercise will have you sweating if you actually put in the effort. For someone such as me who feels in shape this app makes me want to do better because it changes my perspective of what being in shape is. I was kind of disappointed when I found out that I needed to sign up for a coach to use the workout daily plan function but to my surprise it was unlocked today when I opened the app. I am actually happy that even without signing up for a coach there are still plenty of workout sessions to choose from or you can go with the single workouts. Thank you guys for offering this awesome app thumbs up.

The best fitness app I've used and I've tried and quit and retried too many. There are some good ones out there I won't name but this app keeps me motivated with very structured journeys (guided programs), great content (I work in email marketing so this is a qualified review), and even meditations I sometimes use in place of my meditation app of choice. My suggestion, if you want to get the full diet and exercise experience, couple this with the Nutrition app.

  • Good overall but has a few vital flaws Nov 7, 2019

Overall, I love the app. The workouts are really fun and they make you look forward to them at the end of the day. They have a bunch of good programs and having a coach tailored to your needs is really helpful. Unfortunately, there are a few flaws that I think need fixing. 1) Not being able to save your workout if you quit halfway through. The other day I wasn’t feeling great in the middle of a conditioning circuit so I decided to stop, but to my dismay non of my progress was saved. Now if I want coach feedback for future weeks, I have to go back and start all over. Having an option to save your progress would be a great feature to implement for people who know their bodies well enough to know when to quit. 2) Not being able to customize the workouts. This is the biggest issue for me. You can give very vague customizations at the beginning of every workout by tapping on the coach icon, but their only very basic things like “I can’t run today” or “I only have 15 minutes”. There is no option to swap out a workout with something similar or reduce/increase repetitions. Having this option would make the “tailored for your needs” part of the app so much more effective.

It's an amazing app....comple in itself, in every possible way. It eggs you on, motivates you to be your better version at every step. It's like you have a constant companion to push you...it's often forgiving if you can't meet the targets...but it brings back the same workouts...till you better your timings! The Only thing it asks of you is your commitment! It's simply an awesome app...and the websiteis awesome too! Thank you, team freeletics.

Installed just fine, but requires you to sign up and give your personal information before you can even check out if the app is something you would like. Great way to mine data. Uninstalled 30 seconds later Edit to developer response. No you can't. There is no such option shown. Sign up /login /forgot password. That's it. (I reinstalled again to check)

I loved the idea at first. An AI powered coach that adjusts to my goals, performance, setbacks, etc. but that’s all marketing BS. There is no AI or adjustments or changes. If there is, it’s not evident as really not much has changed in the workout routines so question this benefit. Also, I find that swiping from exercise to exercise a little annoying instead of saying “Next” or having the app track my completion via the camera or hand gesture. I also would like to be able to redo any Coach workout I’ve Completed. So if I had a coach training on a Tuesday with a break on Wednesday, I cannot go back to my Tuesday session and redo if I feel like getting another session in. I have to wait for my training on Thursday or just do the single exercises. Why??? AI relies on data so the APP should let me do more exercises/repeat previous sessions. Sometimes the APP freezes and I have quit the app and restart. Happens only once in awhile but annoying. Also. I would like to see a family option where my wife could also benefit so they should consider a family plan. I am going to cancel my membership and try some of the more straightforward apps as this is more work than it needs to be. Would rather focus on exercising vs fiddling around trying to get this app to work for me. Good luck to all of you on your goals.

  • Careful with your Freeletics subscription Jun 28, 2020

    By Maninho0087
I found a deal online for a freeletics fitness program and decided to sign up. The exercises and kind of ok (they’re the same exercises all fitness programs offer - even the free ones). I checked the app to see if I had signed up for a subscription, so that I could cancel right away. There wasn’t a “cancel subscription” option, so I figured the fitness program I had signed up for was a 1 time deal - I thought I was all set then. But, just to be safe, I checked my subscriptions on my Iphone (under “manage subscription”) and freeletics was not there. Even small companies will show up under your subscription options - not freeletics. To my surprise I was charged $40 a few months later, even though they make it impossible to cancel and get a refund on recurring payments. You would think that a company trying to hide the “cancel subscription” button would make it easy to get a refund. NOPE! Never even got an email back from them. Let me make your life easier: don’t sign up. The exercises are the same you’ll see on youtube/instagram fitness accounts. I bet most of the revenue from this shady company comes from unwanted/unaware payments that are not refundable.

I started using the app since 3-4 months after a gap, and in the hell week I got an injury of the tear of lateral meniscus and small grade ACL tear and I have to undergo an arthroscopic surgery. I urge to design algorithm so that each body parts gets rest for at least 2 days.

Repetitious and repetitious , routines are boring they ask for an assessment at the beginning and then the routine don't reflect your needs , I don't know what kind of algorithm they use but I think it is just a random choice , did I mention that they renew my subscription one day before the expiration day and I got charged for 3 more months for something I didn't use . Don't trust it

  1. With over 900 different combinations of workouts, you will never get bored and you can just focus on your goals
  2. Don't worry about being out of ideas for workouts when you hit the guy. Now you'll know exactly what to do
  3. You won't need any weights or other complicated equipment to see great results. Just get fit using your own body weight as a tool

Well, it gets me there in kind of a gentle way. Raised my cardio, I was surprised how much so with less effort than training on my own. Training smart, I suppose. Still using it July 2020, on my third journey. It would be nice to have some sort of history, calendar with journeys I did so far, training days, etc. It would help with choosing future plans.

  • Pretty cool. Could be awesome Feb 23, 2019

    By Marxalenina
I really like this app. I use to do CrossFit and the fact that there are some set workouts were you can save your scores is really motivating. I love there is pretty much everything you would do without bars or equipment. It does have the muscle up/pull up option which is cool. What would make it perfect? 1. To add more optional inexpensive equipment (box, medicine balls, dumbbells) 2. The social aspect is great. I love to see my friends’ scores and try to beat them. But the problem is that when you click to see a workout they posted, there’s no way to see the workout itself. You have to go to workouts and look for it. That seems to darn cluncky to me. It would be also nice to see everyone’s score once you click on a post to see the comparison not only with me but the rest of my friends. 3. I wish I could skip the cool down because I actually add a yoga lesson after Freeletics. So that is my cool down.

It doesn't really reflect if I am doing better or worse or where I am at. I got a bit bored with the journeys and chopped and changed a bit but really enjoying the run journey. The app itself is easy to use and very good a demonstrating exercises. Wish it would read out the exercises and have a bigger next button so I don't have to be joined to my phone whilst trying to work out

New design of app is just great! It shows all the details without any need to go back and forth. Well done with design. The only reason 4 Stars is that even when you choose heavy in muscle building training course, you still loose lots of weight. I would expect freelethics team to come up with exercises that help you to keep current weight and build muscle. Overall app is very useful, only some exercises need to be fixed for some specific needs of customers.

  • So far so good, minor tweaks May 20, 2019

Thank you for such a great app, I’ve just started to use it and so far I’m enjoying it. A few things I’d love to see 1. Fully independent watch app 2. Integration with Apple Activities - this needs some work. For one, I would like a whole day’s training to just count as 1 workout, or at least have an option in the app to choose that for those that want it. I would also like to see general improvements with this. My workouts often say they are only 1-2 seconds, despite taking well over that time. 3. Autocomplete on runs should stop the activity at the set distance, I’m not sure why it’s required that I click “complete” - especially if someone isn’t holding the phone in their hand, this leads to highly inaccurate times.

  • I want to 5* this so bad Apr 25, 2019

    By McKJay
But I can’t. My number one and only complaint is that I cannot run the app if the Freeletics can’t see the internet. Being deployed in a “austere” location I am often subjected to limited to no internet or cellular connection. Without those, the app freezes or won’t load. I have had internet drop in the middle of a timed workout only to have my progress lost or I am forced to restart the workout, which loses my progress. The mental struggle is already real, little things like this get huge quickly. This app would get 5 star for the ease of use, the natural flow of the workouts from week to week, the highly customizable and hassle free setup from one week to the next. Fix it so we can use this app 100% offline. You are losing money, I have at least 5 other soldiers who won’t buy this because of the connectivity issues.

it's an awesome app. however, it seems the sync function with Google Fit has a bug; whenever I do the workout set provided by the Coach, it hasn't been able to sync my interval workout. other workout types synced just fine though. hope you can fix this and I'll give you 5 stars!

  • Waaaay harder in easy mode than it should be. Jul 19, 2020

    By Bonetone
This app will run you through a warmup that’s already a decent workout for a beginner and then tell you to do 50 burpees and sit-ups and jumps. In really really easy mode. I can run 10 miles no problem, but this being the easy workout with no option to incrementally make moves harder starting from something reasonable is ridiculous. I can only imagine how many people quit and delete the app after the first workout. What a terrible coach mode. Also no advice on how to proceed if you feel it’s waaaaay beyond your ability. -edit, your request for me to contact your support email instead of posting my opinion here is bogus. Do the legwork yourself and send my detailed review to your support email on your own. You don’t need more info from me. Try harder. Feel free to have your support people contact me when they’ve fixed the issues I pointed out.

  • This app snoops your clipboard on launch Jul 21, 2020

    By Nate1299
I have been using Freeletics mainly because it seems to offer more for free than many of the other fitness apps on the App Store. However, I have just discovered a little “feature” implemented by the devs that made me uninstall immediately. If you own a Mac, you know you can copy and paste over the cloud. When you paste text from your Mac on your phone, it brings up a dialog box that says a paste is in progress. Well, I had copied an admin secret on my Mac, and I opened Freeletics to a big dialog box on launch, saying the app had pasted the contents of my clipboard. In shock, I closed out the app, copied some text on my Mac, and relaunched Freeletics to see that — sure enough — the app automatically pasted clipboard contents on launch. Knowing the app would snoop on users data so secretively and malicious made it so I couldn’t trust this app at all on my devices, or the devices of my family.
