  • Great app high quality Nov 12, 2019

    By Brandon Brekke
I love this app to death! I’m a huge Timberwolves fan. Well, at one point in time that wasn’t the case. I would follow the Timberwolves, you know, check the box scores and ask real fans how they would do on any given night. I was that “fan”... until this app came stumbling into my life. Now I can watch and do watch them on a very regular basis due to the notifications and the overall ease of use of this app. Now, I’m not sure how you feel about Fox as a whole, but they do sports and they do it well. Especially, in the new era. Where other companies, not to name any names *coughs NBC* have struggled in this area Fox has embraced it and did the ground work necessary to make it work. A lesson to every one out there nothing good comes without hard work. Another side note I love the World Cup and this app kept me so stupidly connected to the World Cup that all my soccer fan friends couldn’t believe the amount of ridiculous info I would spit at them. In an age where you can feel so easily left out because you didn’t catch this or didn’t catch that. This app eases the FOMO that we all hatefully and in my opinion unnecessarily experience on a daily basis. Thank you Fox or what ever third party you hired. Keep up the good work, who knows maybe I’ll give Fox News a chance. Hmm... Maybe I’ll just stick to sports for now!

  • BEST Sports App! Jul 25, 2020

I LOVE the Fox Sports Go App! I’m a huge Atlanta Braves fan. Last season (2019), I watched most of the Braves baseball and other MLB games on the Fox Sports Go app with access from my cable TV provider, WOW. I loved being able to stream a live game wherever I was, instead of being stuck in front of a TV screen! I never had a problem streaming games, never had any glitches, or app crashes. If you aren’t able to start watching a live game at the beginning, you can join in and start watching live, then go back and watch the beginning after game is over. For example, if the game is in 3rd inning when you start watching, you can watch live from that point. Then, when game is over, you can watch the beginning of game. Or, you can choose to start watching at the beginning of game, even though the game is already in play. You can pause, rewind, then fast forward to present time in the game. I also streamed college football games on the app. ESPN’s sports app often lags and freezes up. But I haven’t yet experienced any lags, glitches, app crashes with Fox Sports Go app! 👍

Thank you for being there for us sports fans who want just sports unlike ESPN who wants to inject politics as I’m one of those who has deleted everything and I refuse to support them in any way. I really wasn’t spending much time on your app but what a mistake and same with radio and TV I have grown to love your work, your mindset and the men and women you have working for your company. Again, thank you for sports and if I g those of us a break from all the real stuff in life and just sports and some fun to get away from life’s real things. No deal with dying human beings everyday and so when I say what I say it’s as real as anything, I work with ALS human beings daily and for all of you who do not appreciate or understand how lucky we all are with our health and the gift of life, trust me it is hardcore and at times I have no words for how blessed we all are. Thank you Fox for everything

I primarily use the FOXSports App to watch Yankee Games. Unlike some other sports app FOXSports App allows u to pause, rewind n Fast Fwd live TV, which I like a lot. It is also very quick to load n I’ve never experienced buffering or any sort of server overload. I also like that u can access all 3 FOXSports Apps via the drop down menu n all FOXSports channels within the App. Transferring back n forth is quick n easy. The highlights tab is great n covers everything I want with ease. The future TV/App listings built into the home page is perfect. All-in-all the functionality of the App is better than most n super easy to use. I rate the App overall with a 5/5 stars by itself n in comparison to all other sports apps it’s definitely one of the best! I highly recommend it for watching Yankee games live and replays from the past. -r

Commercials are short! I really like how you can join an event live or watch from the beginning an event that’s already started. However, sometimes the audio gets mixed up and you hear both the beginning audio and current audio at the same time. Exiting out of the video player and restarting usually fixes the problem. I mainly use this for the World Cup, and appreciate the highlights in addition to live play. However, several of the highlights (over half!) don’t work when you hit play - neither the video or audio, even though it shows it’s playing in the progress bar.

App sucks now, constantly freezes, when you watch live, somehow it always gets behind so you have to hit advance 10 seconds or live....I think it's so they try to force you to watch the advertising. Amazing you can be behind by say 10 seconds and within two seconds it says live....something odd. Hire some high school kids to fix the bugs. *Update 9/1/20* App is still a total POS, freezes constantly and needs restarted, then you miss part of what you watching. Junk.....

Recently I have had bad experiences with this app. Everytime I watch it on my Roku TV I have to sign in at minimum 3 times before it works. Now, on my phone, the app tells me there are no live games available. There are live games available to watch from their web site, but not the app. Frustrating.

  • Can’t even tell what type of sport you’re watching Jun 16, 2018

    By WorldCup18274
By far the worst of the sports viewing apps. It’s great if it is working, but that is usually around only 25% of the time. The other 75% is a mixture of black screens, frozen screens, and video quality that is so pixilated you can’t even tell what type of sport you’re even watching, let alone what is happening. The app will seemingly randomly drop resolution from normal to unwatchable when there is absolutely no change in connectivity and even regularly when your connection increases (i.e. from 3 bars to 5). It’s almost as if they put in the rewind function because they know that you’ll never be watching a game live if you actually want to see it. Don’t be fooled by the relatively high rating (3.1 stars as of this writing) the only positive reviews are about the quality of the content of the app (the amount of games and sports available to watch on FS go) and not the quality of the app itself, which is horrendous. Maybe they just don’t care because they know they have exclusive TV rights to most of their content so you physically can’t go elsewhere to watch games, because this app is atrocious. Sometimes my iPhone will even lock in the app as it freezes for so long and doesn’t make any attempt to unfreeze itself lest you exit out and start the video again. Please make changes soon as I pay for the ability to watch the World Cup but can usually only get about 20-30 minutes of a 90+ minute match.

I have tried to get the Atlanta United matches on the installed Fox sports go, and I have dish TV which is not shown in your TV providers. If I click to get a TV provider dish comes up but it's only to get it installed. I've had to listen to the Atlanta United matches in my car radio, I am thoroughly disgusted with Fox sports go.

Started having issues about 2 weeks ago with the app constantly crashing during Blues games. Unable to watch anything on the app. please fix this ASAP. Has been over a year and same issues with Blues and Cardinals games. Doesn't matter if I'm on wifi or data. Can't go more than a couple minutes before the feed stops.

I had to make this 5 stars because my 1 star review wouldn’t go through. Hmm 1. Lately I’ve been having to sign in again almost every time I open the app. 2. An old problem that seemed to be solved with a previous update has once again started with the latest update: when signing in with DirectTV, it won’t accept a userID. It will only accept an email address, which DirectTV doesn’t use anymore. Again, this very annoying problem from last year seemed to be fixed but has started again. Last year it was only a problem on the app and would work on the website on a pc, but I haven’t checked the website yet this time around. Please fix this, as this is the only way I get to watch the Cardinals!!

I like Fox Sports so don’t get me wrong that I am a Pro ESPN guy; I’m not. I watch and listen to more sports talk on Fox than any other station. It’s just that this app is so buggy. The videos don’t play about 25% of the time. I had full bars today for WiFi and with my wireless provider but it kept popping up network error. Then it finally went thru and I clicked to watch the 1 highlight of the 1 goal in the World Cup game and it wouldn’t load, no error message, nothing. This has happened numerous times. Also, I have Directv and Sports package with all Fox sports channels but when I got on their website to watch a World Cup match it said it wasn’t in my package. That’s funny because when I turn on my TV it comes right up. Maybe they can’t handle the traffic of the WC right now IDK. Plus this app doesn’t have a friendly schedule browser, no scores, no sports schedules, it’s just strictly a video app. That is fine if the VIDEOS ACTUALLY WORK!😩

  • Good App - Could be better Nov 1, 2018

    By MrMildew
Overall, I enjoy the app. It’s definitely nice being able to watch my local teams when I’m away from the house. A couple of things I wish they would add/fix. 1) They need to add the setting to stream HD only on WiFi. This app will run up your data pretty quickly if you have a strong cellular connection and your able to stream HD quality. It would be nice to stream at 480p when on cellular to cut down on my data use. 2) It’s annoying that I have to renter my satellite provider credentials almost every week. I’m not sure why it doesn’t retain my information, or utilize the single sign on ability that I should have from entering my credentials in the TV Provider settings of my iPhone. I thought the whole purpose of entering your credentials there was to prevent from having to resign into other apps every time.

Wow. Without warning, while the phone was sitting in my pocket, the app just launched a notification with a loud audio alert of the Fox Sports theme song. I didn't even know notifications could have sounds. Completely obnoxious, and I deleted the app immediately. I don't care whether it lets me watch sports... I won't have an app that randomly blasts a corporate jingle without my permission.

    By XxOtaruxX
I've been using this app for nearly 2 years now. It's decent, but the streams are never great. Constant freezing and buffering are over of the problems. Another is constant jumping of content. When casting it had an issue where the stream with jump forward and backwards about 10 seconds randomly on its own. Often times I'll miss big plays or outs because it'll skip forward. The other main issue is audio video sync. Over there course of a game of do not reset my steam, the audio will slowly start to lag behind, and by the end of the game the audio will be roughly 4-5 seconds behind, sometimes more. All in all I really like the attempt, anf the video quality is generally acceptable, but there's just too many issues that apps like watch espn and such don't have.

  • Where did it go???? Jul 13, 2018

    By Mr Bill 56
In the last two to three weeks the FOX SPORTS GO app has left the building. I watch baseball on an iPhone. About every 15 minutes the control screen pops up(start over, resume live, go back/forward 10 sec, pause/start button, volume setting). At the same time the screen darkens so the game activity can barely be seen. If I touch the screen then it freezes the action, but the audio continues or it stops too. Tapping the pause/play button in the center of the screen does nothing to resume the action. Close it out and wait for it to warm up again, then wait for the game I was watching to fully open, taking 2-5 minutes. Doing all this I miss the game action while I am trying to get back to the game. Then other times the video gets so blurred that I can barely make out the human figures. That goes on for different amounts of time. I have sent about a half dozen emails to iPhone support with as much detail I can think of that might help them ID the problem. THE ONLY RESPONSE IN A WEEK HAVE BEEN THEM ASKING ME FOR 2 PIECES OF INFO. IHAVE ASKED FOR SOME KIND OF RESPONSE. NOTHING. THIS IS THE ONLY SPORTS APP THAT I HAVE SO MUCH TROUBLE TRYING GO WATCH A SPORTS EVENT. Like I told them I have another FOX app that I have no problems with.
