  • I LOVE DELTA Jan 24, 2019

    By Bill and Nasha
I am loyal to very few large companies on this planet. My loyalty often winds up local whenever possible. However, with Delta, I feel as proud to be a loyalist as I do with a local business. They treat me right. When you earn status, IT MEANS SOMETHING! I capitalize that because with another major airline, my status I earned that was similar when I lived elsewhere and flew them a lot did nothing for me in comparison. I could go on and on about why I love Delta, but I’ll just end with the fact that they really try. They’ve improved. They’re staff is overwhelmingly good, and for a huge business like this, that is not easy. I’m a Delta loyalist for the rest of my days. The app works seamlessly by the way. I am supposed to mention that huh? Truly perfect app that will tell me right when my bags are loaded on the plane, at baggage claim, the whole 9’yards. Thanks Delta for being a good company. I hope this review makes someone happy, because I run a business and can’t even express the amount of people in your employ that have impressed and delighted me in my travels. Cheers! Flying you tomorrow!
  • Ruined my luggage! Jun 18, 2020

    By William Kinsley
Delta has been exceptional in every way, well, except for 1 small thing .... when I got my luggage, upon arrival, my back was soaking wet. I had people waiting outside so I had to hurry. I figured if anything was really wrong with my things that I’d contact Delta & they’d handle it. Even the bad airlines will, at the very least, give you something for the loss or damage of your property that occurred while in they’re possession. Delta wants me to pay $30 just to file a claim with no guarantee of replacement or reimbursement. You’ve already set me back being I had to replace most of the clothes, gifts, & personal items that I brought & had to replace. So sad because other than that I’ve enjoyed Delta. I’m not a man of means, I’m a carpenter, so I don’t make the kind of money where I can just get new stuff & move on. Spending the money I had to, to replace all the missing & damaged stuff, left me with just enough to get home. I wish i wasn’t writing this because, like I said, I was happy in all other ways with Delta. It’s likely it won’t ever happen again if I stayed using Delta but I literally can’t afford a $1,000 + gamble, especially when there’s zero accountability from Delta when it comes to your property. Sorry.

I can’t say it enough times how much I enjoy flying Delta. I have had to fly a lot for work and Delta is Leaps and bounds above the other airlines. Where they stand out the most is customer service! I only wish that when there happens to be a cheaper flight on another airline that Delta could match that price so that I wouldn’t be forced to fly those other airlines. My company requires I choose the cheapest option. I can usually explain it ends up cheaper on Delta due to my free checked luggage but once in a while I still have to fly another airline when I would much rather fly Delta! Keep up the good work Delta! Also, if I could recognize and individual employee then Kerry in Billings, MT deserves some real recognition. It is very hard to leave home every week and she is the nicest, friendliest Gate agent. She is often times training new staff and is very patient with them. She really is top notch and her warm smile makes leaving home a little less painful. Thank you Kerry!

I travel a lot and I’m not loyal to any airline, money talks. With this in mind, I’ve traveled domestic and international with many airlines and have used, or attempted to use, all of their apps. Interoperability with Delta website. If you purchased your tickets via website, good news! The app will interface seamlessly with website purchases. Not all airline apps do this. Ease of use. Once logged in to the app, you have the option of staying logged in between sessions which is fantastic when you are traveling. This makes it easy to access your digital boarding pass. I made my first trip with just a carry on bag and an e-ticket by checking in on the app. This eliminated the trip to the kiosk or ticket counter. The entire time I was in the terminal, I kept thinking I was doing something wrong. I showed the e-ticket to security and the gate agent; that’s it!! Updates. There were many reminders as appropriate. This include: Check in 24 hrs prior Gate information Departure and arrival updates Boarding advisories Luggage advisories The app has a lot of great features, some found in other airline apps, some not. Some of these features include: Purchase tickets Update personal information needed to fly and TSA Flight tracking Terminal maps with GPS location to navigate the terminal Show boarding pass without logging into smartphone Skymile data ...and more. This is a must have app to fly in today’s electronic world.
  • Does not do as they promise Apr 10, 2018

I spent over 45 min on the phone while the representative helped me use miles to upgrade my flight to first class....I verbally confirmed with her numerous times that the amount of miles she quoted would upgrade myself and my co-traveler to first class for the flight to our destination as well as our return flight. Upon getting ready to check in I see our seats are in row 34....not quite first class. After waiting 2 hours for a call back to rectify this I was met with a “sorry, you should have checked on this”. The reps supervisor instructed the rep to let me know it was my fault, even through I had confirmed (again multiple times with the rep that did the upgrade a month ago). There were 3 open seats in first class at the time of this call and delta offered no help in this situation. For a customer that flys often forbvoth work and vacation they sure helped me make my next flight not be on delta.
  • Cancelled flight Jul 31, 2019

    By yellow polka dots
I have just completed two hours on the phone w a very pleasant delta rep. She was able to successfully rebook my flight after delta canceled it in error. I am pleased w the service today albeit I have had to sit by the side of the road in my car to carry out the transaction. My concern is when I requested some sort of compensation for the canceled flight, when I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told I need to wait until the flight has concluded and THEN go about the business of calling or writing a letter detailing my “recent flight experience”. My choice would be to resolve the issue as soon as possible. I would imagine Delta would also wish to resolve the cancelled flight to the customers satisfaction. I am not okay with being told to wait. I believe I could be offered another avenue in a more timely manner and will continue to attempt to find a resolution before an entire week passes.

  • Delta has Heart! Jan 3, 2018

    By Spkskfjujwjdkd
Weeks after the death of my husband and having made it through Christmas, I thought I was able to stumble through all the “firsts”. New Year’s Eve morning I realized I could not do New Year’s Eve alone and ER doctor daughter working, other daughter back in Vegas, friends all with plans. Spontaneously, I called a Delta agent and cried and explained why I could not stay alone (plus 15 degree below windchill in MI). I was not as strong as I thought and needed to get away. She took so much time and helped me plan an immediate trip to FL, with such good suggestions and I decided on Ft Lauderdale. I stayed at a beautiful hotel right on the ocean in 78 degrees and sun! On boarding I began crying and a flight attendant paid special attention and even wrote me a beautiful supportive note on a Delta napkin that I still have. There’s even more but this is getting too long! I have told everyone I can about Delta with a Heart! ❤️
  • Use it for managing booked flights, but limited options when booking Jan 6, 2019

    By flyingfrog7
Definitely worth downloading, as it provides all tools for managing your booked flights. I would recommend to use browser when booking though, especially when your dates are flexible and you want to see prices for +/- several days. Sometimes leaving or coming back just a day earlier or later results in drastic difference in price. The browser allows to select “flexible dates” and provides the grid view with prices, which gives you a good idea about the various flight costs during a particular time period. At the time is this writing there is no such option in the app. Only one departure and arrival date can be chosen at a time; to see prices for various dates one has to enter them manually for every flight price check, which takes forever and doesn’t provide the overall picture at a glance, like booking via browser does.

App is absolutely garbage. Can't "Check-In" for flights- the circle waiting animation stays on indefinitely. If you reload app to try and get the check-in process to work, it will log you out and lock your account. The app then tells you to call Delta. Called and waited for 4 hours and 22 minutes to talk to a rep. The rep told me that they cannot unlock your account and you have to wait for 24 hours for it to unlock. That makes the app useless- the app won't unlock until after your flight leaves

Junk! I hate it! It use to work fine but now I can't even pay for a bag because it has "technical problems". Just like previous user said, "when you need your boarding pass, no luck". I thought digital is to avoid lines and useless papers. Why then is it an issue to have your boarding pass displayed? Use it on my android, app is updated, but then sends me to browser and then "your browser is not supported". Frustrating.
  • Disappointed Apr 9, 2021

    By DidappointedInDelta
I am extremely disappointed with Delta. In an effort to appease customers with a Delta canceled flight Delta packed my flight to 100% capacity. At what point do you decide that customers expecting you to honor your policy that you voluntarily set in place deserve to not receive the benefits of that policy? Customer service is very poor. I called to speak with a representative and the message I received said I would speak with a representative in 58 minutes. Over 90 minutes and I am still on hold. I chose to stay on hold because the last time I chose for a representative to call me back in an allotted time I received a text 2 hours after the allotted time asking if I still needed assistance. I attempted to use the text message option in the Delta app and I was repeatedly sent the same information that I already had access to on the app. Also when I attempted to book a flight with the app the price of the specific flight I chose tripled in the less than 1 minute it took to click the required responses. The app often has the message that it is offline or can’t process my request. In speaking with other members of my family they have had the same experience with the app not being able to process. I have been a loyal customer to Delta since I began flying when my daughter’s family moved half way across the country. I would love to continue to use Delta. Please consider all the contents of this message. Thank you.

This app doesn't show the flight that I'm about to board unless I go find the confirmation number in my email. This makes it difficult to use as the boarding pass. Hitting back, the app closes and then I have to search again in order to find my flight again. Nealy worthless and useless.
  • Poor design Jan 3, 2020

    By RamblinUSA
Version 5.1 has a terrible color scheme. On one hand, the home screen has a new darker high contrast purple background, but the bottom half of the window as well as all the other window tabs are blaring white and low contrast! Does delta not have the resources to hire a graphics designer? Then, when starting the booking process, the sort function opens a picker control that has all the options (price, duration, etc) rendered in white on white, making it practically impossible to see the choices. Finally, if using the sort function, it actually executed a new query on the server for every option, which is mind numbing slow! Why could you not just re-sort the existing shown flights on the client side!!! Likewise, switching between prices shown in cash, Miles or miles+cash, also executes a new server query. This is sloppy work! You should run just one query that downloads a compete set of information, this will speed up the client app’s performance exponentially! The website is much better, not to mention feature full. I understand that Delta is not a software company, and so it may not have the in-house expertise of one, but these design problems are too egregious to go unnoticed! With millions of active daily users, including your own staff, how could all this have slipped by! Are your testers actually even using the app? If not, they should be.

I can't even log in! It prompts me for biometrics, it accepts it, then says there is a "Technical Difficulty" then gets frozen on the "Just a moment" loading. If I enter my password the old fashion way, it just spits a generic error message in my face. I'm completely able to log on using my browser, so it's an app, not a server problem. How does this oass QA for a milti-billion dollar company. Spend less time on politics, more time making an actually usable app that you can actually log into!
  • Many missing options Jun 25, 2018

    By hapily
One of the many missing options is the opportunity to volunteer when a flight is overbooked. I just checked in for an overbooked flight and was never directed to the volunteer screen. If I had used the airport kiosk, I could have volunteered. True, volunteering does not guarantee being chosen, but at least I would have had the opportunity to try. I’ve had this same problem when the app has automatically checked me in and never allowed me the option of volunteering for overbooked flights. I am seriously considering deleting this app. Today: After neither the app nor the website would not let me volunteer, I checked in for this morning’s flight at the airport kiosk and easily accessed the volunteer screen. Unfortunately, I figured that I did not need the paper boarding pass because it would be on my phone. This app made me check in again to view the boarding passes and, once again, did not provide the volunteer screen. Fortunately, the gate agent was extremely helpful and added my name to the list at the price I wanted. The big problem is that if two people volunteer at the same price, one of the deciding factors is who volunteered first. It would be wonderful if the app let me volunteer when I check in 24 hours in advance then let me check the status whenever I want to see if the list has begun and add my name — if there was no list yet at check in.
  • Apr 11, 2021

There is So much wrong here! Right from the attempted log in: " technical difficulties", wont load, wont open, freezes. Then, when logged in, seems like Ethical issues, 1, in the middle of booking and forced to log in again. Then password not accepted. Need to change password. By the time I get back to booking, the price is gone up $30. Then try to use E-ticket credit, which is 1 year latr, about 40% higher for same flight. As soon as i try to use credit, $30 more. Use mileage= Changes flight!

4/6/2021: An official spokesperson for Delta told me to avoid using their app. Have yet to find a use for this app. Frequently becomes unresponsive even with a solid wifi signal, making boarding passes inaccessible. Notifications are excessive and don't interact with the app when opened. No info on my stand by flights, even in the stand by section. Don't waste your time, it does more harm than good.

Dear Delta Customer Service, You really let me down today. I booked a flight using the Delta App and when I went to pay, it did not give me my flight confirmation details to confirm the flight was accurate. When I got the email confirmation, it was for the wrong day. When I went back to change the flight (I called your customer support line IMMEDIATELY), the customer service representative charged me an additional 11,000 points to change the flight - and it was just booked moments ago. The representative told me the price was higher based on demand. I was online at the same time, trying to see this mysterious cost increase as there were dozens of flights at the same exact cost! And the same flight he booked me on, there was NO additional costs associated with my flight. I basically got completely ripped off by the app and your customer support representative. To top it all off, I decided to use my points because my flight was last minute to attend and conduct my brothers memorial service. In the future, I will fly Alaska Airlines. They treat their customers better. I’m so very disappointed in Delta. It’s a shame because Delta was always the beat airlines. Now, it feels more like American Airlines... and they are just horrible.

This is the best airline for a single handicap person to use! There’s always a wheelchair for me within a few minutes. The persons who push me to my gate are extremely courteous and will always stop at the restroom or store so I can get water! They are the best! My ONLY complaint last year was the fact that they wheeled me from check-in up to the concourse at Detroit Metro and dropped me off with 25 others in wheelchairs and there we sat. After over half an hour I got up to the counter and informed them that my flight would be boarding in half an hour and I STILL needed to go through security! They did jump into action as there were 3 in wheelchairs on my flight back to Ft Myers, Fl. I was rushed through security and got to my gate as they were boarding. No one ever told us WHY we were dumped together in a holding area and just sat there. Otherwise, my flight was great!
  • An amazing app but a critical missing feature for Watch Dec 11, 2018

    By jfrizzz
Delta has all around the best airline app out there. Extremely useful from booking to boarding. I once booked a ticket in the app using Apple Pay and it took less than a minute total. Truly seamless and with an intuitive design. But there’s just one thing I can’t wrap my head around: the poor Apple Watch app bundled with the iPhone app. While Delta’s app for iPhone is far superior to its competitors, the Watch app lags behind. American, JetBlue, and United all offer a useful watch app that includes a Watch face complication for quick viewing of up to date information on seat, gate, and boarding time just by raising your wrist. Delta’s Watch app lacks this, and even loading the watch app itself (not the missing complication) provides a clunky experience that rarely loads and lacks useful information.

Yesterday .. I had to change my flight for a day later leaving SPOKANE headed back to Los Angeles ...so I could watch my sick baby niece so my sister could get to her new job . I explained to the delta representative what my situation was ... I had originally wanted to fly on a Saturday but the flights were triple the cost for that day . ... somehow .. the delta rep was able to shift over my flight and didn’t charge me anything ... NOT ANYTHING .. they have consistently been way about average in customer service . Last year when we had all the fires in Southern California .. we had to change flights something like 4 times because the situation kept changing ... they didn’t charge us a change fee and waived all of them during that period ... whoever is making policy over there is doing a stellar job .. being able to be flexible at the corporate level when it is warranted is such a plus ... customers don’t want to feel like they are being grinded into the ground .. especially when there are extenuating circumstances . Thx delta .. you are my number one choice !! Now just add more LAX to Spokane non stop flights .. you guys operate the ONLY LAX-GEG-LAX flights and they are always full !! I say you need to add more ... especially flight back to LAX that leaves later than 6:45 am ... say 10:00 am ?

  • Rude agent Aug 20, 2018

In booking the bereavement tickets to my home for the passing of my grandmother, I dealt with an agent that was not similar to the kind of customer service I’m used to experiencing from Delta. I used to be a heavy traveler for work, and always made it a point to fly Delta. Almost every single one of the persons I came across was very accommodating and polite. The agent who booked my flights not only laughed at me when booking the flights, scoffed at my comment that I was used to better customer service from Delta, but made remarks when discussing my flight arrangements. I’m normally a fairly calloused person, but experiencing the death of my grandmother, whom I was close to was painful. This gentleman made the experience worse. My flights were outstanding as normal with Delta. One agent in Atlanta even helped my sister out by putting her in a seat that was open, since she was bringing a lap child. That was the type of customer service we’re used to. Thank you for your tome.

I have been a long time DL Customer for several years, approaching 3M miles. Over all my experience has been very positive. Great Airline, Great People, Great Customer Service. One of my negative impressions are the changes that DL made to their FF Program. Hard for me to completely understand when a lower level FF Customer who purchases a slightly higher or higher coach class ticket receives priority over a Diamond Flyer. As a Corporate Flyer we are asked to book our flights at least 14 days out, which usually results in a lower coach fare compared to a fare that was booked “late”. I have had on several occasions received a personal apology from a flight attendant. One time the flight attendant wrote me a personal note apologizing that I did not receive at least a DL comfort seat. One flight attendant showed me all of the Silver, Golds and Platinum’s that were seating in DL Comfort or 1st Class. DL is rewarding fare not loyalty. Just my impressions and experience this year.

I appreciate the new patent check-in feature, but a few bugs and workflow issues were there. Checking in to Air France I had to re-enter my passport information. Small but annoying because you have it. A million times you have it. Plus I couldn’t add baggage. Maybe that’s on purpose, but then tell me. The last thing was I couldn’t add the boarding passes to my wallet. And one last gripe is that I saw people on Reddit saying the C+ upgrade option had the “only if seat preference available” option, but I couldn’t find it. Maybe because I’m currently international, but I would really like that option. I hate having to try and go back and claim an aisle in economy when I get “upgraded” to a center seat. Generally I like the application. Makes traveling so much easier; however these few little quirks will keep it at a 4 for now.
  • No Information Updates Apr 14, 2019

    By Zippada
My bag disappeared on arrival at Orlando three days ago, and there has been no update to the information since the “Mishandled Baggage” report was filed. Did you search the area at the end of the night? Did you call other passengers who left bags behind? I called the number I was given to obtain information, and that was a terrible experience. The Delta representative read me information that I already knew, and could give me no information about the process Delta follows to try to recover a lost bag. When I told him it was important for me to recover the bag because my CPAP machine was in it, he asked for other items in the bag. I told him there was a heating pad in it. He then asked “Can you give me two or three other items that were in the bag?” How many medium size grey bags do you lose in a day with a CPAP machine and a heating pad?
  • Great app but buggy when flight delays happen Jul 20, 2019

    By outglobal
Overall great app. 90% of it works great. Couple of things need work. 1. If you are rescheduled on an alternative flight due to delay the app co-mingles old and new flight information. For example I am on a morning flight. Boarding time shows 21:50 which is last nights flight. 2. Very hard to standby for an alternative flight or rebook through the app when you have a misconnect which is a pity as it forces you to rely on airport staff. If the app were easier to use maybe the lines would be shorter at the airport. 3. Standby for an individual flight as part of an itinerary is impossible to do on the app. (Alaska has nailed this function). For example flight delay on segment one. Want to standby for a flight that will still make the connection in Atlanta. No way to do that through the app.
  • The best airline app but still not perfect Mar 25, 2018

    By DrQuerida
I fly with my family weekly. The app makes ticketing easy. However, you can’t purchase “infant-in-lap” seats without calling customer service. That takes at least an hour. I don’t understand why it can’t be an option. It frustrates me greatly! However, I appreciate that the miles are stored and that I can use my rewards with ease. Also, one of my flights was cancelled and they notified me 12 hours in advance! That was great because I didn’t travel to the airport and I was able to make other plans. I really appreciated that! Also, I have given up on Delta’s Wi-Fi. It never ever works and when it does, it’s for like 30% of the flight or once the plane is above 10,000ft. I just plan to be away from the internet while in the air.

Sorry.

  • Checks you in without asking when you launch the app Feb 17, 2018

    By Brncoman1
This is a very good app but it automatically checks you in as early as the day before if you open the app (without asking). For me that is always a bad idea. I hope they change this or make it a configurable setting. I never check in early because the nature of my business forces me change flights at the last minute sometimes. Today I desperately needed to change my flight but delta wouldn’t let me (on line or in the app) because I had already inadvertently “checked in” yesterday when I looked at the app just wanting to check my departing flight time. Couple that with a 2 hour wait to talk to someone at delta to see if I could get a later flight forced me to take my original flight and leave my customer when I really needed to stay a few more hours. I really can’t see how it benefits me to “check in” for a flight the day before.
  • App Review Oct 16, 2019

    By Frustrated 34567
It would seem that many Apple Store users do not appreciate that they are supposed to be writing a review of the app and not about Delta performance, customer service, operations, etc. The most recent app provides much more functionality, including the ability to book a trip. Having experienced a misconnection because of weather (and LGA congestion and construction), I liked being able to track my checked baggage through the app. I do have one problem, though. The app has consistently started to check me in should I open it when I have a flight eligible for checkin. I am perfectly able to decide when I wish to check myself in. Perhaps I do not know how many bags I am going to check when I open up the app or maybe I want to see if any seats have opened up. Or maybe I want to book a trip. Maybe it is not designed to this, but it seems to be happening.
  • Devaluing of Medallion Status = no longer stands out among airlines Dec 27, 2019

    By BB-08$
I recently signed up for a Delta Amex and I fly enough to qualify for Gold Medallion (likely Platinum in 2020). I have been increasingly disappointed by what status gets you. First class upgrades are rare, as Delta tries to sell any premium seat up until the last minute, despite the 72 hour upgrade window. The dedicated phone line is no better than any other phone line—I’ve encountered waits up to 2 hours. Sure, if you complain, they’ll throw a few thousand FF miles your way, but it just cost 35,000 miles for a NY to Bos ticket, so the miles don’t seem to be worth what they used to be. Flights are still relatively good in terms of being on-time, planes are relatively new, and flight attendants usually professional. But the trajectory has been downward in the overall experience compared to my expectations.
  • Incoming flight Apr 26, 2019

    By Cat_64
Have not flown with Delta since 2012, this time my flight to Florida was very upsetting, I was told he when I landed in Georgia that Delta already knew I would not make my connection, and that I was placed on standby, and that I would be in a 4 pm flight. I don’t understand how I can void and pay for a flight and Delta sets the layover schedule and has no concern for the people traveling and you think it’s ok just to alter our flight plans. I understand weather issue, but we were not told anything on our I coming flight and there was no one at out gate telling us that we were not going to make our connection, instead we run like hell to make it only to get there and be told gates are closed and now you have to wait. You need to communicate with your passengers better. I paid for my ticket , I should know what is going on.
  • Good app but frustrating reloads Nov 5, 2018

    By Wesjohnson96
I like the Delta app overall. It’s pretty easy to use for ticket purchases, flight check in, changing flights or seats, contacting customer service, etc. My only complaint is it reloads the screen pretty much every time you go back to it. So during boarding you have your boarding pass up but your screen goes to sleep or you switch briefly to another app before you reach the front of the line, when you get back to the app it reverts back to the home screen before sloooowly retrieving your boarding pass while you hold up the line. Similarly if you just want to quickly pull up your boarding pass to check your gate number or boarding time, you have to wait for it to reload. None of the other airline apps I’ve used do this. Very aggravating.
  • Delta critical review Mar 10, 2019

It is difficult to be connected to Wi-Fi in Atlanta in the Delta area. This causes issues when attempting to confirm flight details. Also, due to a flat tire with my Uber, I was late to check in and attempted to my bag via the kiosk which the rude Delta attendant with a thick accent directed me to; and it change my flight to the next morning. I was in a hurry so I did not notice it until I was in the TSA line and was able to connect to Wi-Fi, and was alerted to the fact that I did not have a flight that day! I’ve been discovered my flight had been changed to the next morning. I had to crawl out of the TSA line, and go back to special services, and fly standby. I need to get home for a funeral. There should be a huge warning screen that pops up to alert harried Passengers to this change. Sincerely, Cathy Love.

The app works 75% great. When my flight was delayed I rebooked using the app and it was flawless. Sent me texts with updated information, etc. But when we Waited on the tarmac for 1:53 (right under the legal limit of 2 hrs before they have to do anything about it), the app struggled to be aware that we were really late, and two hours after my connection left it was still displaying that I was on my connecting flight. No worries. Call Delta. The recording said they would love to call me back when I was next in “over two hours.” What? I’m already in Atlanta so I marched to the gate and the helpful staff rerouted me. The app eventually became aware of my flight change, but claimed that boarding started an hour ago, 6 hours before the flight. Hah! So it’s a good app IF everything goes right.

Junk!

Never works when you need it to. When the app works it is great, but seems like every time I am trying to board a flight it won't open/log me in or can't display my boarding pass. I have started taking screenshots or getting a print out of my boarding pass so I don't hold up the line (frequent traveler 1-2 times a week pre-pandemic)

Slow, and doesn't work when you really need it -like boarding time. Gets stuck loading frequently, and times out, only to respond with vague error messages. Needs quality control and optimization. Delta should look at the United app, and copy what they're doing, because the latter's app and servers perform faster and more reliably (source- personal experience-I fly a lot for work).
  • I love this app but ... Nov 16, 2018

    By inahurrybaldy
The app is great. Well, most of the time. I should have known better. The first leg of my flight was delayed and, when the plane landed, I had 20 minutes to deplane and catch the next flight. No problem. The app said it was the next gate over in the same terminal. Whew! So, plenty of time to go to the bathroom, right? Double checked the app and now it says I’m supposed to go to the next terminal. Ugh. Down the stairs, just missed the train, ran to the next gate. The screen at the gate shows the next plane to my destination leaves in 90 minutes. What??!? Raced around to find a departure screen and lo and behold, my flight really was leaving where I just deplaned. Ran back to the previous terminal. If you’re tracking with me you’re thinking what I’m hoping won’t be true. The gate is now shut, the ramp pulled away and the plane sitting there just like it was mocking me. So, this is the last time I EVER rely on the app. Why the two databases aren’t synced is a mystery. You would think it would be reliable but I hope someone else benefits from my learned lesson. DO NOT RELY on the app.

App only logs in 25% of the time, saying, "Sorry. Unable to process your request". When you do manage to log in, it will randomly log me out stating technical difficulties. This used to be one of the best and most reliable apps on my phone, now it's just about useless. Come on.
  • Missing Dark Mode and Slide Over Oct 20, 2019

    By TreyJohnsonMN
The new UI incorporates a lot more bright white screens. That is super jarring for any user running dark mode in iOS 13. Please allow for the UI to change dynamically between light and dark to match the system state. The app should also take advantage of the new slide over/split screen functionality on the iPad. The app is currently to spread out and hard to use on the larger iPad Pros, but with slide one it would look just like the iPhone version! That would be so nice to have because then the app would be much more useful when having to have safari, calendar, email, etc. open at the same time. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a very loyal Diamond Medallion and the Delta app is considerably better than other airlines - but as the app gets better and I use it more, these other features matter even more to me. Especially because the Delta website is considerably worse than the app when it comes to mobile interaction and information consumption.
  • Issues Mar 19, 2019

    By NK17s
I have been flying on other airlines and used their app all the times. While using the Delta’s app, I didn’t felt good about these. I hope all unfamiliar people find it same. Because apps are meant to be used by novice people, but Im myself a Mobile Application Developer, I found it very hard or not good. These are my suggestions: 1. The dark color theme is good while traveling; but Me personally control the brightness of my mobile screen - all the time. Because you care so much about the battery life while traveling and having very Dark text and colors, frequently I had to brighten up my screen. But if we will have some light theme, even if I put low brightness-it will be visible. I know people, this sounds what! But when you are travelled long and tou don’t have charge on your phone. Then you will understand why. 2. I couldn’t even find Entertainment option in the App!! What! When you connect to wifi is that a only place to find entertainment option? I navigated through the app to find that Button 🤣 but still couldn’t find it. 3. I tried to write these as feedback but I ended up writing them as review. I never wrote any reviews on app store. But I throught I should write to make it more better for Everybody like me. 4. Added the boarding passes on Wallet. But if seats changed, wallet still shows the last seat. Its not updating. It was very confusing. Ended up asking at the gate what is my seat? Hope this gets some serious attention.
  • Worse than other airline apps Jan 12, 2018

    By *pysanka*
I also use JetBlue, Finnair, British Airways, and several others and they are all more logical and easier to use than this app. Even the United app, which is no picnic, is better. Problems: Every time I want to look up something or change something on a flight I have to ‘find’ it by giving the confirmation number or other identifier. If I have two different flights booked I can only deal with one of them and if I want to even look at information for the other one I have to give the confirmation number. The moving screen advertising upgrades is annoying. There appears to be no way to see all my flights at the same time. The whole app seems very counter-intuitive. I found it difficult and time consuming to figure out where information was and how I could, for example, change seats. I surprised that most people rated this app so highly. Unless you’re all shills.
  • Cancelled flight Feb 6, 2019

    By Wiscoborn
Our flight out of Appleton was cancelled 12 hours before take off. The same flight 40 miles away still went out, but was full. And the best closet was 2 hours away. There was no good reason for the flight cancellation. They tried to rebook our flight a day later on a terrible itinerary that would’ve taken 12 hours to arrive when 4 hours was all that was needed. We opted to travel last minute 2 hours, get a hotel and fly nearly the same schedule as out originally cancelled flight out if Appleton. It cost us a hotel room, gas, parking bit we arrived to vacation on our planned day rather than a day late. There was no reason for out cancelled flight. I would like a reimbursement at least for the flight that we ended up taking that was a cheaper flight. No money was offered returned to us for the cheaper flight that ended up costing us a 4 hour round trip drive and hotel room

I was almost an hour late to my flight because the departure time didn't correspond to the local time. Theres not even any indication of what time zone you're talking about. Why can't you state the departure time at its respective local time and the arrival time and its respective local time? I thank God I caught the sudden time change after I happened to turn my GPS on or else I would've lost my flight.

My daughter and her 3 year old and 8 month old sons just flew Delta from HELENA MT to ATLANTA GA. Her flight left Helena and was was rerouted to IDAHO FALLS ID due to engine problems. No problem there- this happens. The problem was once there my daughter’s seats were given to another passenger- again this happens but her luggage, including her car seats were on the plane she was supposed to be on. I would have driven from MT to ID to pick them up but without car seats it was impossible. My daughter tried to tell two attendants she was supposed to be on that flight and they rudely told her she was wrong. Later they saw that she was in fact supposed to be on the flight that left without her. She was stranded in the airport with two little ones for HOURS before being bused, with rental car seats, to SALT LAKE CITY where she was put up in a hotel for a couple hours before her early flight to ATLANTA. Her reason for flying to ATLANTA was for her grandmother’s funeral which she missed and just barely made the graveside service. I will NEVER fly Delta again and will tell EVERYONE I known to do the same. This isn’t the first time we’ve had problems with Delta but this will surely be the last!! How in the world do you not check the log and why was her luggage and car seats on the flight without her. Sounds like a big security breech to me! Delta stinks!!!!
