Outstanding Puzzle Adventure! 5 Stars!
May 20, 2020 Update 2...Response to developer. Per your suggestion, I looked at 2 walkthroughs online. One showed defeating the 1st big boss battle by simply running to dodge the spiders spray. But, I still can’t win. :/ If there were more power ups in the boss arenas I think could win and finish. I have changed the game rating from 4 to 5 stars. Just because I can’t finish doesn’t mean Figment isn’t a well deserved 5 star game. The game is phenomenal! Update... Response to developer. Thank you for responding to my review. Yes, I dodged, rolled and ran to no avail. I love the game and would love to finish it. One of the best and most original games I’ve had the pleasure of playing in a long time! The 4-star rating is for the wonky on-screen controls. Unfortunately, I was unable to finish it because I couldn’t get past the first boss spider attacks near the end of the game. I had completed all levels and released the "train" and was following its path on the rail. I just couldn’t get the protagonist to move fast enough to avoid being sprayed by the spiders! It’s so heartbreaking not to be able to finish this exciting game. I’m on iPad Pro so my device is definitely up to the task. I’m so very disappointed.more -
Feb 28, 2021 I like the concept of the storyline, from pov inside the mindscape of an individual. Very interesting and would play more. The only thing for me would be the 3D layout which is not one of my preferred platform type of game but that's because of my own personal preferrence; otherwise it is a great game. Well worth to try, thumbs up to the producer of the game.more -

May 3, 2020 Best $5 I have ever spent. I enjoy the music, the creativity and the imaginary as well as the dialogue is very believable without being corny. It kept me entranced for long periods of time because i have to be indoors due to the covid-19 it was the most entertaining way to spend my time. I would say there should be also hints when you realize you are stuck. I play on my phone and the screen is smaller so it can be hard to see some things in the game. Other then that I am looking forward to the sequel! Keep up the amazing work, ya’ll!!!more -

There were some things I feel could have been better like the character control, more plot, more closure, out didn't need to replay the dialogue with every respawn, always like my music way better than in game audio and would be a payer of expanded options there.more -

The person behind this. You have an amazing imagination! Who would of thought a leaf would be a bridge? Who would of thought trees/plants will have guitars and mesmerise you with with the cute rhythm? - Claps - Best 4.99 that I have spent. I really see myself buying more games likes this! Have you thought of doing for nintendo switch?more

May 1, 2020 Good idea, but horrible controls, especially on an iPad Pro. Also, when your is depleted and you have to battle fast moving enemies that have way more health than you, the crazy uncontrollable thumb mashing is just ridiculously annoying and frustrating. Maybe the game would control better with traditional console controllers? This one was a quick delete for me. There is no way in some instances for you to refill your health, and worse, when you die, your health bar DOES NOT automatically refill. So, starting combat over means starting with whatever level of low health you had the first time. NOT GOOD!more -

Aug 18, 2020 This game looks gorgeous and I was very intrigued by the story and production values—but the controls are horrible. I tried to play on an iPad Pro but quickly gave up and deleted the app because it was just too wonky, weird and frustrating to try to move the main character around or to interact with objects. How sad! If you’re accustomed to a console game controller then you might love playing Figment. Otherwise, meh.more

Great game, horrible controls
Dec 11, 2019 I love the game. The concept and story is great, the art is phenomenal. Overall loving it. However, I absolutely HATE the controls on this game. Despite tapping the screen multiple times and trying to move the character, he simply just doesn’t move sometimes...which makes boss fights very frustrating. I’m so close to just quitting playing this game despite the good things above simply for this reason.more -

Feb 4, 2021 Artwork and music is wonderful, Story is unique and amazing, I loved it. Control is not that complicated you get used to it. My issues: my phone start to get really hot(Galaxy s20 plus). I wished I knew upfront that this game is only free for the first act. I understand you have to make money and you deserve every penny of it. In my opinion it's better to be in a obvious place like title or description. Anyway I enjoyed the game very much, if my budget wasn't tight I would buy the full version.more

Issue with music
Jan 3, 2021 Hey, I would like to say that there might be a glitch with the game. In the right mind after fighting the spiders, the fight music still plays in that area, even during the second encounter with the spider queen which cancels out her song which is very annoying. I think it may be because I might have launched the spiders beyond the playing field without killing them, but I can’t say for sure. I hope this bug can be patched as soon as possible.more -

Feb 5, 2020 I don’t mind saying I’m lost. The game is good about getting you started. It has beautiful sound and graphics. However, if you get lost, or off the beaten path, there are no hints or clues to get you back. I keep getting a message to “recover my sword”! I never had a sword! I wish I could find one! Every other option has failed me.more

Maybe the game would control better with traditional console controllers? This one was a quick delete for me. There is no way in some instances for you to refill your health, and worse, when you die, your health bar DOES NOT automatically refill. So, starting combat over means starting with whatever level of low health you had the first time. NOT GOOD!more -

What’s Groovy
First thing that pulls you into the game is the visual aesthetics followed by the voice acting. I was really impressed by the attention to detail especially when it came to the dialogues of unseen characters. They all sound so unique. I found the controls positioning a bit problematic when it came to fighting. Since the roll over/ dodge button is located where most games have the attack button. Will need some getting used to. Aside from that, as an exploration game it is really interesting.

What’s Subpar
I loved this game right up until a glitch in Anchorage stopped me from completing the game. Can’t find this mentioned anywhere else, but the second flying book is blocked by another book. According to the walkthrough, all I have to do is turn the handle on the adjacent Island and align the books to clear the path. Unfortunately, nothing happens but a clunking noise when I turned the handle. The books don’t move. I have restarted the level, turned my phone off to “reset”, loaded iOS 13.5, searched high and low for a forum addressing this issue and found nothing. I’m very disappointed to not finish the game, but am not willing to delete and reload the game. I don’t want to start over when I’m this close to the end.

You’ll love it if you’re a Zelda fan
Hi, I wanted to say thank you for the game. I only played the demo, but I can tell how good the rest of the game is (it was an extremely long demo, I thought they gave me the full game by mistake) if you have ever played Zelda or any Action/puzzle game (and loved it) this game is for you. The controls were FINE *except for the item menu controls. I get that it would be better on Xbox or switch controls, but it was kinda annoying on iPhone. Overall amazing game!!! 🗡🔑🧩 -
A very, very excellent game! Intense, drama, suspense! This game is so so good! Loved every second playing it. Honestly, with all the voice actors, the design and gameplay, €5.49 is incredibly cheap.

I saw this on my computer and then I found it on my phone and I was so excited. It has so much creativity and hard work put into this. I thought this was a great game by digital bedtime I loved it. It’s so cool how they could put this whole game into the iPhone. Although it might just be my phone but I could not properly roll/dodge but I think it was just my phone, either way this was the best game EVER. -

Loved 99% of the game
I love the graphics. I love the characters and voice actors. I love the music, songs and story line. I even love all the puns. I hate the thumb control! I almost didn't buy the game because of other reviews about the controls. The control that moves Dusty around proved the biggest challenge but perseverance finally paid off. It was worth it to get to the end of the story.

I absolutely love this game!!! But sometimes the automatic camera of the game zooms out which makes it very hard to see. And the button to roll should be in the grab button spot. But besides all of this it has, an amazing story and graphics. All the characters are adorable.

Poor Controls Drove Me Away
This game looks gorgeous and I was very intrigued by the story and production values—but the controls are horrible. I tried to play on an iPad Pro but quickly gave up and deleted the app because it was just too wonky, weird and frustrating to try to move the main character around or to interact with objects. How sad! If you’re accustomed to a console game controller then you might love playing Figment. Otherwise, meh.

Was loving it. Then I encountered a glitch that wouldn't allow me to continue so I reached out to the team for support via multiple channels. Now it's 6 weeks later with no response. So: 1 star and deleting the game. Too bad.

Figment
Good idea, but horrible controls, especially on an iPad Pro. Also, when your is depleted and you have to battle fast moving enemies that have way more health than you, the crazy uncontrollable thumb mashing is just ridiculously annoying and frustrating. Maybe the game would control better with traditional console controllers? This one was a quick delete for me. There is no way in some instances for you to refill your health, and worse, when you die, your health bar DOES NOT automatically refill. So, starting combat over means starting with whatever level of low health you had the first time. NOT GOOD! -
Unplayable. Game crashes when trying to start Act 1.
