  • Love it! Helpful and Encouraging! Feb 20, 2020

I’ve wanted to change my habit of over eating and develop self discipline. They say “when you control what you eat, you can control your world”. The app without the Fastic plus has been amazing! There were times I wanted to give up and give in to the foods when my family would eat very late at night but it seems to know when you need encouragement. So far, I’ve been drinking more water, eating more veggies, and read valuable lessons that I have applied to my life. I have very little self control when it comes to food, especially meat. Veggies and I have become good friends now especially with my digestive system. I have more self discipline than before with food! I know if my family eats late, they always try to save me some for the next day during my eating period. A big plus was that I can have a fasting buddy! My boyfriend also has food controlling problems, he tends to eat very late at night and doesn’t have a routine applied. It has helped him lose fat in some areas of his figure! And develop a great routine for him to eat. And for me too! So far I’ve lost 7 pounds in the last week. I’m not starving myself, I’m drink more water and I feel so much better than before! The different levels of fasting also help too. I started with 16/8 but when things got difficult I reduced it a beginner level fasting then build up to 16/8 and that’s where I’ll stay and won’t go further. I’ll consider Fastic Plus in the future ❤️

Great Fast Tracking & Water; but, everything else is an upsell. Even "your first challenge is waiting for you!" When you "click here" the next screen is an upsell to one of three upgrade options. That's misleading. I'd like to clear that card and not see it again. The pressure to upgrade on my first day almost made me uninstall but the fast and water tracking are helpful. So I'm filing the issue, hoping they tone it down (I'll adjust my review if they do), and will continue using to form habits.

  • I’ve fasted before, and I will fast again Jul 16, 2020

I’ve been intermittent fasting for about 5-6 months now, about a month before quarantine, and this app is good at what it says it will do. As mentioned before, I’ve been fasting for a few months now, and I have very rarely broken the fast. I’m going to say only a handful of times in special situations, but it was always hard to remember the exact hours I would begin fasting. This app is great with keeping track of how long I’ve been fasting, and the feature of it alerting when the fasting is over is great as well. I don’t upgrade from the free version because honestly I just need something to help me track, and that’s exactly what this is. I’m aware I use it as a glorified stop-watch basically, but it meets all the needs I have in an app about tracking my fasting periods. I love the way that everything on the app is easily accessible and I can flip between screens as efficiently as I need too between breaks at work and whatnot. I love the little information that is given, even if it’s super basic information. It’s great as what it advertises to do, and it doesn’t make its advertisements all about the upgraded features that a lot of people don’t like to buy into. It’s a neat little app that is user friendly and I will be using for at least another month before I go back to college and get thrown off the routine. Keep up the good work guys!

This app is really great and very informative! I have been using the free version to track my fasting times and water intake, which is perfect for me! The app offers a paid version that looks really nice and has a lot of features but I don't need all the bells and whistles rn. If you need help tracking your progress or fasting times this app is great! The ads are not overwhelming and the reminders are very helpful! I do recommend!

  • Fastic great app Aug 5, 2020

    By Sillygose
I gained in weight a year ago. I'm 5’0, and I have been skinny all my life until my hormone starting kicking off a year ago. I have always been active, but since I'm getting a little bit, older. I'm getting lazy. My knees aren't healthy like it used too, plus also I got married since then my weight got out of control. I gain 20 pounds I used to be 110 now 130. However, I decide to pay for this app to help me reach my goal and learn to control my eating habits. So far I'm thrilled because I started on Monday and today is Wednesday I have lost 3pounds which I weight now 127 until I reach my goal I won't stop. There is a lot of support, great lessons and community support as well I have joined the Facebook fastic community, and there people giving you advice. Don't hesitate to give a try so far it works. Also, this app provides you a receipt for healthy food, and there is a lot another great thing they provide. Try you won't be disappointed. However, you need to be very strong, willing not to be tempted. Good luck.

  • Chat Alert May 2, 2020

    By Fear Bullies
The content of chat is 24/7 off topic, innapropriate, x-rated and abusive. The chat gives an option to block/ report within the chat group. But, it does not work. Teenage users appear to be targeted for bullying and worse. They are invited to join private Instagram accounts. The first thing seen in chat includes several pages of pornography content. Any attempt to dissuade this behavior is met with hostility from a group of bullies. The bullying is encouraged and cheered on. Good luck keeping this app successful. It appears the goal is to sabotage it. Update: Well? Since the chat group is not monitored and the incessant horrible behavior continues without intervention from the app developers I suppose it is time to let the world know about this. We all have the ability to snap shot the group chats and send them out for all to see. Maybe some parents, neighbors, friends or educators will recognize these chatters and out them. The chatters have been banned from other chat groups. Unfortunately, this fastic app cannot be bothered.

Virtually all functionality is behind the pay wall, but once I signed up for the paid version (3months, no backsies!) I found it quite underwhelming. There are free apps that do the same fasting timer and tracker. The daily challenges of 'avoid sodas' and 'try a YouTube exercise video' and tips like 'drink at least 2l of water' seemed funny, but nowhere near as funny as the fact I am paying money for them.

  • Limited Ability to Edit Time Jul 3, 2020

    By Darkflyer7
So the app works really well if you stay on top of starting and stopping your fast right on time. However there is a huge oversight which in my opinion breaks the entire purpose of the app. If you forget to start or stop your fasting time, if you go back and try to edit the initial time of your fast to correct it there is inexplicably a limited selection of times you can select. For example I used a “Frosty” to take a cheat day yesterday. I went to bed at 11pm and woke up this morning at 9:30 so I wanted to edit my start fast time to 11pm, because I didn’t eat anything since last night but had fallen asleep. Nope, even editing my time the only time I could select was 9:30. Completely unable to change it. So now my fasting window is completely off and I have to track it myself? Pointless. I’ll just do that myself all of the time. Uninstalled immediately.

I’m enjoying the timer and reminders to drink and log water. However, every few days — just before I reach a straight week of logging fasts — the app erases one or two of my completed fasting days, and deletes all of the “flames” I’ve accumulated. It’s not like the flames are money in my pocket, but it’s discouraging when you’re trying to maintain motivation and challenge yourself. The visuals of the flames and the consecutive days do motivate (actually, why would they even have them if they weren’t?). I started taking pictures of every completed day to prove to myself that I wasn’t crazy. Sure enough, at midnight just when I’m logging a solid week, boom! a completed day disappeared. Either way, having completed days randomly disappear week after week bugs me, even if it’s inconsequential. I’m looking for another fasting app to switch to.

Have only used for a few days. Paid for 3 month subscription for the “plus” app. Helps with tracking of water intake and fasting times. Had great daily additional challenges- but would be better offered up the day prior so you can plan. If you do t succeed the daily challenge you get labeled “FAILED” What a horrible way to motivate new life changes. I hate this app for this reason alone. Also cannot log steps manually. Doesn’t log steps at all. Can’t sync with my fit bit & my phone doesn’t travel everywhere with me. Can’t log bicycling time or strenuous activity time. No way to ask for tech support - Just FAQs. Should have a one week free trial or ability to cancel subscription within the first week if not happy. No recourse as there is no way to contact developer/ app site.

I am in love with this app!!! I have finally found the right way fir myself to loose weight in a healthy way and to keep it off! And you really can't beat the Plus Version. It gives you everything that you need to stay on track and doesn't have any annoying hourly reminders to it. I am sticking with Fastic! Great job!!!

Love this app! I have the free version and it does a great job of supporting your IF journey. The only downside of the buddy feature- there's no way to communicate with your buddy or send them encouraging feedback... It's kinda just, there? Nice to see their IF charts but again, kind of useless. Other then that, no complaints!

It is a good app. Like the timer and tracking. These visuals subconsciously help you push to reach your goals. Tips and lessons are great help too. Only feature I would like to have is maybe a nudge feature by your fasting buddies. I know chat might encourage spam, etc. But little pre set sentences like, you doing great, All the best, You can do it, etc can be added to encourage your buddies and you get the same.

  • Buddy issues Aug 6, 2020

The information that is shared from one buddy to another are flat lies. The goals are skewed to show less than actual and weight loss shows more than is actual. For example my goal is 180lbs and I have lost 4lbs so far. On my buddy’s screen is shows my goal 116lbs and my weight loss at 20lbs. If this is not a glitch in the programming, I find it deceptive and disheartening. People/women struggle enough with weight loss without an app pitting they against one another. If you are lucky enough to have the love and support of a friend and you choose to use an app like this, the information should be accurate. That being said, I do like how the app works for me. I like the information, education and recipes. Don’t get me wrong I love the buddy feature I just don’t want it to be like that. It seems like it could be fixed. Support please not greed.

Only a couple of days into the free option but so far so good. I like to see the visual of the stages of the process your body is going through during the fast, and also the reminders to drink water.. step counter doesn't appear to be working yet . Will wait to see how the free version goes before considering paying for the extras.

This app is good for keeping track of your water intake and clearly shows your weight loss. Showing your start weight, goal weight and a slider like view of the weight you have lost. The fasting/eating window countdown is good, showing you how your body is reacting. One gripe would be for the buddy part. Can add buddies, click on them, it shows you their weight etc too, BUT no option to cheer them on or "like" their weight loss or chat to them which would be immensely helpful.

Not bad. I like it because I can start my fast at anytime unlike other apps I've tried and that is extremely important to me bc I'm healthcare worker and work 12 hr night shifts. So my days and nights are different. I like the explanation of where my body is in the process of fasting. I like that I can set the time i started fasting so I don't have to have my phone out just as I start. Ireally just wish that instead of just giving recipes there was a way to track my food diary within the app.

  • The Community Chat Needs Work May 5, 2020

    By Semir 🌱
The Fastic App has potential to be a great tool, however there are some key issues with the community tab. After being on here for about two weeks, I’ve decided to delete the app. What’s the point in fasting from food if you can’t fast from negativity. The chat room is toxic 90% of the time from toxic behavior and no moderation. Fasting is a difficult task already and part of the attraction to the Fastic App was the ability to engage in conversation with others also on their respective journeys toward a healthier life. However, other Fastic users repeatedly spam the chat, attack other Fastic app users, and engage in extremely toxic behavior well into the classification of cyber bullying. I wish everyone the best on their journeys and remember you don’t have to take part in bad behavior. Insecurities really show here and sometimes it seems normal to be abusive, while not even realizing it. The block and reporting feature do not work at the moment so one can’t ignore the other persons behavior. It effects the entire atmosphere of the community tab. Please fix this chat or the select few who are inducing this behavior stop. With some changes to give the user more control on blocking and reporting, moderators or filters in the chat room, the app will be a great too for the countless humans ready to take a step to a healthier version of themselves. Regardless if you care or not, Enjoy and much love to you all. 🙏🏽❤️🌱.

It's decent. It is fun and cute and a little educational. The constant notifications to weigh myself and do the lessons (which requires a paid membership) are annoying. It is slightly gamified, rewarding you with flames and snowflakes and stars and points when you hit your goals or do the lessons. It makes me want to keep fasting and keep using the app. There are other features to partake in, like having a fasting buddy, and a WhatsApp support group, and hydration and activity reminders.

  • Buggy weight tracking May 11, 2020

    By HdudivbxhbkceanilSv
I like the fasting timer, the flexibility of fasting times and the educational content, tips and encouragement. However, the weight tracking is very buggy. The data for the week sometimes appears to be in kilos instead of pounds (set my target to 55 lbs at one point. The weight trend for the week usually looks OK, but then when I show the month trend, it shows a single weight data point that Is lower than I ever recorded. So, I figured there must have been an incorrect entry and went to edit my data and it’s all in kilos again. I ended up deleting about half of the data points, but it still isn’t showing correctly. If this continues to be buggy, I don’t plan to renew since I already have a more reliable weight tracker. Also, the food tracker is beyond bad. I couldn’t even find something as basic as bread to enter for tracking, so I don’t use it at all.

  • Recipes are not Paleo/keto/low carb friendly May 9, 2020

    By chol3618
I was very excited to try this app for help with fasting times and trying new recipes. I have had problems with intermittent fasting because I have not found many recipes that will keep me full overnight and until mid-morning, so I thought this was going to be the perfect app for help. Despite marking that I wanted to keep to a Paleo diet, the recipes that showed up included flour and dairy, two things that are on the “avoid” list for paleo. I thought it might be a glitch, so I switched my preference to the Ketogenic diet. This still was not helpful, as most of the recipes were over 30 carbs per serving. As a last ditch effort, I switched my preference to a “low carb” diet, and there was no change in the recipes that were shown at all. I am very disappointed in this selection.

If you need a fasting timer and want to record your water intake, this is the app for you. If you want to log your meals, this app is beyond mediocre. I was trying out the free version, but wanting to log my meals. Until I got a discount promotional price I couldn’t refuse, I couldn’t justify $30/3 months for something I didn’t know was worth it. For one, they’re missing a lot of food items. They didn’t have tangerines but they have orange liqueur... and don’t have an option for portion sizes. Also, drinks, like tea, are considered a meal (I had 7 meals the first day). Then the color system is misleading. I heard pea protein shake was a great way to break a fast, but the yellow makes me not want to do it. I get moderation is the thing, but I think they don’t realize just how effective the color-system is on psychology. I don’t have all bad things to say. I admire the lessons and I like the reminders. The styling of the app and the ui are refreshing compared to things like MyFitnessPal. It’s more modern. It definitely has potential, it just needs some work.

I’ve been using this app about 2 months and all of a sudden today, despite clocking in and out just hours ago as usual, it reset the progress and says I have been gone “too long” without using the app and it reset my clock and says I have been maintaining for ZERO days. This is humanly impossible. I’ve fasted 23 hours with this app and therein went a whole day without opening it. Now one day after 12 hours, everything is gone. DO NOT USE THIS APP! There are others! And this one is never ranked in any of the best Intermittent Fasting apps, AND THERE IS A REASON! As someone who relied on this app to be accountable, it is a very horrible feeling. I have emailed them and expect that nothing will be done. I expect my poor review will stand.

I try to go to where I have options or it’s helping me but I just got the same screen showing my weight goal and what I can do on this application but I can’t seem to get past that. I uninstalled it and then I reinstalled same thing. Can the people who make thisApplication give me some help on why it’s not working and what I can do to get it to work so I can try it out. Hope to get a response I sure would like to try out your application otherwise I’ll have to go to a different fasting application

Super bummed. It was working great for about 24 hours, then it asked me to log-in again and there may have been some user error in that I selected Facebook sign in rather than Apple but rather than tell me that was an error it logged in and then froze on a screen. No matter how many times I update my phone, turn it off and on or delete and re-download the app it just opens a “you’ll see the difference in a week” screen and doesn’t allow me to do anything else. Unfortunate waste of three month subscription but my fault for going all-in rather than trying it out for a few days.
