  • Nice interesting game Feb 21, 2021

I chose to try this game because the ship reminded me of the ships in “Last Exile”. I love puzzle games. I did not look for any help before playing and made it almost to the end before getting stuck and having to search for help. I wish there was some basic help in the game to tell you how important it is to press the steam button to relieve engine pressure and how Important it is to figure out how to fix sparking engines. I recommend this game but wish there was some very basic advice at the start....something like....it is important to figure out ......(you get the idea). I wish it had more chapters for the price. Hopefully there will be more chapters via an update. Overall very happy with the game.

Astounding in the same way a game like Journey was but this instead focuses on the therapeutic maintenance of an automobile and puzzle solving. Whilst you marvel at the machinery you also realise the desolation around you mostly likely caused by these machinerys in the first place and leaving you rather conflicted. But this journey is worth sailing to the end and as the poignant soundtrack rolls, I left understanding the themes of this game perfectly. No dialogue needed, a showcase of games.

I loved it! I can’t promise everyone will love it as much as I do, but I can tell you what I enjoy. I love games that create an atmosphere that can intrigue and relax me. This game did exactly that. The graphics are great, and the landscapes are so beautifully done. The music is FANTASTIC, and it lends either an adventurous or apprehensive spirit to the game depending on where you are. The story is vague without being distant, so you can still have some emotional connection to it. The gameplay is simple, and not especially challenging, which I enjoy because it allows you to focus more on the world in the game than the mechanics of the game. However, the experience of learning how to run your little ship all by yourself is still a very fun and stimulating one. The movement controls can be a little imprecise at times, but apart from that, this was an ideal game for me :) great work to everyone who contributed to it!

Great game, but some kind of brightness adjustment would be good. I get that it's a dark game, but the multiple sections where it was so dark I was straining to see anything took away from what was an otherwise unique and enjoyable experience.

As a cartoonist I do not have a lot of time to play games. I leave one spot open on my main menu for one game. This has that spot. So why is it so great: 1. Supports offline play 2. Atmosphere: without saying or explaining a thing you are just there 3.Imagination: Images are present that bring to mind so many possibilities. It is like a good book. Creating “what ifs” in your mind. 4. Simple: Again for the time strained this a fun journey that uses basic mechanics, yet somehow feels so open. If there is a sequel, I want a plant for my room. It would be cool to pick up trophies to decorate your bedroom with. Last note: I would love to feature your game in a couple of comic strips. I have never offered this as I am trying to stay a way from “pop” culture but this feels timeless. Update: found my plant. Spoiler there is one in the game already. Just had to look Update No.2: I have finished the game. I have never been so eager at the end of a game for a sequel or additional content. I love the world they have created. I would be happy playing again just getting to chose color. Your guide color is red..maybe offer a green or blue. Ultimately , in the end this is my current favorite game and the only mobile game I have ever played to finish. Great Job!
  • Beautiful Game Nov 3, 2020

It’s beauty is quantified by it’s simplicity. Many parts of the game are maintaining your vehicle as you drive through various wastelands. That, coupled with the background music, makes it a wonderfully easy and soothing game to play. I bought it last night and finished it by afternoon today. Roughly 3-5 hours of gameplay, so not something that takes too much time. At first it was a little hard to grasp, but after the second pit stop it made more sense. Make sure you’re picking up items for fuel, but you will use your sails for a good chunk of the game so fuel moderation is easier than I first thought. If you mess up, you can load previous auto saves. Overall, I’d comfortably give this game 5/5 stars. Very much worth the few bucks spent!

Beautiful puzzle game. This was recommended to me by a friend, and I found it interesting. The puzzles were fun and sometimes a little tricky, but I became quite attached to my vehicle, and enjoyed seeing it trundle along at a decent speed with all gauges happy. The end is definitely one open to interpretation, and I appreciate that. A fantastic game and well worth the price.

Perfect? No. But definitely worth it. Challenging? Yes, but easy enough to figure out everything without outside help. Yes, I didn’t figure out the steam, welder, etc. immediately, but that was my own fault for not being better at puzzle games. My only complaint is that some of the areas were a little too dark. Not that I couldn’t do it, it just wasn’t as enjoyable running around in the dark, especially since the graphics were so nice when you could see them. Anyway, to the build team I say, IGNORE THE CRITICS, you did an amazing job. I pay 8-10 dollars to go see a movie that lasts less than 2 hours. This was just as good as any movie and lasted twice as long. So, when’s the next one.......?

Great game, found the pc version on YouTube, didn't realise it was on Android. Very atmospheric, beautiful graphics & style. Keeps you interested with small puzzles. Needs to be played in darker places as its a dark game. Highly recommended.

The upon starting the game, the protagonist looks up from a grave, remembers a loved one who is gone, and then turns away towards a grand adventure. You do not go back. This game is all about what you do first: you solve a puzzle, travel a beautiful world accompanied by beautiful music and background noise, and find your mighty vessel. It looks odd and foreign- takes a little while to find out what all those buttons do- but once you start moving, you feel it’s power. That might vessel will guide you through peace anda as storm, through the most stunning locations, and dramatic disasters. It waits paciently while you solve puzzles and flys daringly down hills when you command it to. All in all, I love this game dearly. Highly recommend.

  • An Adventure to remember Oct 27, 2020

An amazing game that requires a combination of skills. Figuring out how to solve the puzzle of what you need to do to advance without losing your machine. Keeping the machine going and not blowing up, burning or running out of steam. These are just a couple of the things you have to keep track of. I resorted to looking at walkthroughs on a couple of puzzles; normally I would get frustrated and just abandon the game. The art, atmosphere and music kept me intrigued and wanting more. I don’t like “side scroller” games as they usually get repetitive and formulaic. This one kept requiring more and more thought and I wanted to complete it for my little “cube-gineer”. I hope there’s a follow-on or update for more adventures!

  • Wonderful game although one slight problem Dec 10, 2020

    By Hogger344
The visuals, game mechanics, environmental story telling, and puzzles were all amazing. The only problem I had was the buttons. The first infinity blade of the infinity blade series had the same problem. The dodge button, or in this case the jump button, was too close to the edge of the screen so my thumb starting to get uncomfortable under long periods of time. I also kept pushing the action button instead of the jump button due to this issue. A super simple fix is either having player place where they want the buttons on their screen or increasing button size. Thank you and have a wonderful days lads.

Awesome and is just like the steam pc game But.... No controller support so touch controls were ok but lack the finese so found myself making frustrating errors when piloting ... Still very much worth a look though. If controller was supported that would be 5 stars. Beautiful little post apocalyptic journey with a man and his craft

Overall, I’ve enjoyed playing Lone Sails and won’t discourage anyone from picking it up. The puzzles were interesting, if not too challenging, but perfectly appropriate for a laid-back game like this. The two main complaints I have are that it seems like a good bit of effort was expended to create a world and then the mechanics of the game force you to stay zoomed inside your ship to keep pushing buttons and you don’t see half of it. The other complaint is, like any number of other Artistic games, using Atmospheric Darkness too much. Yes, some nice Atmospheric Darkness does convey a somber mood and even a sense of danger when accompanied by the right musical cue (and said music is quite good, btw) But, when I’m sitting on the train on my way home and can’t see the puzzle I’m stuck on because everything is dark gray, it’s not much of a game anymore. But, pick it up and play it in good, consistent light and you’ll enjoy most of it.

Nice little game, good graphics, easy controls. Maybe over priced for what it is. It's a very short story doesn't take long to complete.
  • Incredible game Oct 24, 2020

    By PunkerB
This game is great, challenging enough to be interesting, yet still calming. My main issue though are the controls are awkward to use, controller support would be super helpful or at least a floating joystick for the left right controls would make it much easier. The buttons on the right are okay but maybe a way to space them apart a bit more and slightly bigger so they are easier to hit. But controller support would be the best
