Powerful editing tool with a important shortcomings
May 29, 2018 This is a fantastic app for editing photos. Very easy to use to touch up a few blemishes or remove that speck of food between in your teeth in a selfie. My one complaint is that FaceTune does not have the option to “overwrite” a photo similar to Google’s Snapseed app. Meaning that instead of having to save a new copy of the photo in your “Camera Roll” it would simply replace the photo with the edited one. That’s nice when it comes to preserving the location of where the photo was taken, what time etc. If the devs could add that to this app it’d be a 5 star app.more -
Jan 7, 2021 I wanted to remove red blemishes, which it did perfectly in makeup > blush effect. Could pick out the specific makeup colour from my own photo, so any blemishes are gone and it looks as natural as if I had used my photoshop cs6. It has a very good blending effect for this type of thing. Also very nice that we have the option to test effects that are in the paid version, so you actually know what you're getting. Saves pic without watermark, and that's why you get 5 stars. It's wonderful. Thanks.more -
Photo *Magic* in an App
Mar 25, 2020 Get this app. Now. What are you waiting for? You don’t have to do any further research. This will allow you to *easily* adjust any aspect of your photo— from face blemishes to red & white eye, from double chin to dark under eyes. You can also add popping cheek bones, white, natural smiles, a touch of lip color and brighten up your eyes. And this is just the beginning! You can remove things from outside your face, too! Like a sign in the background by patching it with something else... the list goes on and on. *Trust me*... this is the best face tuning *magic* app out there by far.more -
Love This App, BUT....
Aug 8, 2020 This app is the only app I use to edit my makeup pictures. I paid for it & it’s just what I know. I’ve used it for about 3 years now. The “but” is, I would really like for the Facetune 2 ad to NOT be in there when I paid for no ads and full access in the first one. I don’t want to “upgrade.” The reviews on the other has all to do with it. Aside for that annoying thing, this is literally the best app for editing pics, in my personal opinion. I love it & will continue to use THIS version of it! ❤️more -
Jan 18, 2021 This is a great software that allows you to pick specifically what you would like to change about your picture, whether it be lighting issues due to poor camera quality, or just general issues. 5/5 rated!

Ok
Dec 28, 2018 This app is definitely not my favorite because of the way it handles pictures with glasses. The glasses make it hard to add any other affects or make the eyes clearer! This is something that completely ruins my experience with this app because I am always wearing my glasses. If you wear glasses I wouldn’t download because you completely get jipped! If you don’t wear glasses this is an amazing app to edit all of your photos. The only other thing I would say is don’t go overboard editing your photos you are amazing just the way you are and I would only use this app for minor fixes such as a few of your biggest blemishes or lighting problems. I would NEVER use this app to completely change your image because you should always be true to who you are. Lastly never use FaceTune on your profile pictures or any other pictures that lots of people can see if they don’t like your looks they have everything wrong and you shouldn’t change for them. FaceTune should add some kind of disclaimer about being true to you!more -
Jan 12, 2021 I couldnt even get through the first demo pic before it was glitching and shutting down. I uninstalled then reinstalled and it worked a little bit longer this time. So i attempted to try on one of my photos. Crashed again n again. I like many of the features but stupidly glitchy, esp for the money. Glad I had the 3 day trial, bc this only took me less than hour to be dissatisfied.more -
Jan 12, 2021 Terrible. I loved the old facetune it was a more professional app with better and clearer features and no adverts. This has disappeared from my phone and is now coming up facetune2 which has half the tools missing unless you pay for a monthly subscription or an overpriced one off payment. How can you justify an increase from £5 to £70? The app is no better, infact worse. It's clunky, amateur and the tools aren't as precise as before. The old version was better for more natural edits.more -
The app is unusable now :/
Nov 20, 2020 I have had this app for years and love it, however recently I was able to upgrade to the iPhone 12 and the screen is significantly larger than my iPhone 7s I was using before. Now when I open facetune and try to upload a photo to start editing, the screen blocks the button. So in the top left corner, where you can select a photo, is covered by the “clock” of the new iPhone and the button isn’t able to be pressed. So basically I can only use this app now to edit the sample photos they provide....and what’s the point of that? Essentially the app doesn’t fit the iPhone 12 screen, maybe I am the only person having this problem but regardless I now cannot use this app I bought and loved :(more -
Jan 7, 2021 I have the premium version of this app purely for the option of easy background editing, but now whenever I cut away at the photo, it leaves faint lines of where I've cut away. I'm doing it exactly how I've been doing it for the past 6 months. I dont understand what is not happening. Its running my photos.more

What’s going on???
Apr 24, 2019 i got the iphone X max & realized that when i saved my pictures, the quality was horrible. the picture would look unclear. i had the app on my other phone & i had never experienced this issue. so is this happening because i got a larger screen sized phone? i tried using the “recommended size” & the “maximum size” & they still don’t save to my camera roll with great quality. i’d love to know how to fix this because i love this app & i’d hate to switch to another one!more -
Needs improvements
Jan 2, 2019 Facetune is good for improving photos, like removing a bad pimple or reducing the oil aggravated by photo flash. However, two things need to be fixed: 1) the photo quality needs to be better retained. Often the quality is slightly reduced but worse, there’s vertical lines that show up in the photo. 2) The file name becomes “facetune”. This is problematic to those who do not want those to know a photo is FaceTuned but are sending it to them Via text or email. Should be something less obvious.more -
Jan 5, 2021 This isn't a bad app to be 3.8 stars it's pretty nice actually, and pretty realistic too. Although this is a good app half of the thing you have to pay for which is pretty annoying so I wish you could watch ads instead of paying for it, it would still get you money and less irrating.more -
Love it but fix it
Oct 10, 2019 Since I updated to iOS 13, I can no longer “preview open” the pictures. You used to be able to tap and hold and preview the pic before opening in Facetune but now all u can do is open it and it’s frustrating specially for people like me that do Instagram and take hundreds of picture of almost the same poses and we need to preview so we are not opening each one fully to see which one we need to edit 🤦🏻♀️more

Jan 6, 2021 Loved this app until recently. Every time I go to use the touch up option, it completely closes me out of the app and I lose everything I did so far. Shouldn't have to pay for something if it's not going to work. -
Ehh
Jun 2, 2019 Ok Here we go. So, I got this app because I saw a ton of beauty gurus using this app and I thought hey, let’s give it a try! So I bought this app without knowing if it was even going to work well or not. Let me just say it DOES work and it does help you mold shapes but the tones are just horrible. The tones are all super obviously digitally added on. And you have to buy (I already bought the app) extra things which is super annoying. Therefore, I wasted my money, Works but it doesn’t work to my satisfaction, waste of time. Thank you for reading this.more

Jan 8, 2021 Exports HORRIBLE Quality Photos. They are beyond pixalated. Has a couple unique features, but they are useless if you can't use the picture that's exported because the quality is so bad. Curved solid lines are turned into checkers boxes.more

Jan 9, 2021 Some of the features were used to be free .I used to love this app lot but now it wants money. After updating it happened! This is really bad decision .In this pandemic ,mostly we students can't pay everytime .I request you to make some features free for us 🙂.Otherwise I have to uninstall it and find another app.more -
Jan 19, 2021 To do the makeup category you need VIP so I just tried to screen shot the makeup I did because face tune won't let me save it unless I have VIP and it didn't even let me SCREEN SHOT this app is a joke in my opinion and will get rated a 1 star. All this app wants is money OMG!!more
What’s Groovy
Face edits and all great but hair and clothes need work. Also, there is no option to check the current subscription. Only one option is to renew my purchases - clicking that it doesn't even ask for confirmation or show what will be renewed, it just renews it!!!! This is really a bad design. Still wondering how to cancel my subscription - these things shouldn't be hidden to be figured out.

What’s Subpar
Have been a user for years, I have purchased this app & subscribed so many times. A long time user. Now they have ads even on the free version forcing you to subscribe. This app keeps getting worse & worse with time. They keep removing features too & changing the app. If I pay for an app, I'm paying for certain features, it should be illegal to then REMOVE or CHANGE those features after purchasing. Instead, why not just add more features? Why remove and change them constantly?
