    I am a Professional Photographer and I had booked two nights stay because of the Vintage Trailer Show in Buellton. This was my 1st year covering this Event and was told the Saturday was the Day with all the Fun. I booked the two nights knowing that i would have an Awesome Time. A week before the Event I had to cancel my Saturday night Reservation due to another two events that I had to cover Saturday Morning in Anahiem and Saturday Evening in Devore that would finish at 10:30pm so I lnew that i couldn’t stay the 2nd Night. I tried to cancel thru the Hotel and thru Expedia. The Hotel was nasty to me when i told them i needed to check out Saturday Morning and Expedia was no help either. I was charged for both Nights plus an extra two Service charges and i left at 5:15 Saturday Morning just to makenit to my Anaheim Event Saturday Morning after taking over 1800 Photos in Buellton on Friday at the Vintage Teailer Show and another 200 Photos at the Mendalson Museum. I did like the room and the price but too bad i stayed for one night got charged for two night plus Sevice Charges

    I recently booked a trip through Expedia, I travelled from Grand Cayman to Thailand then 3 days before my return found out that Emirate airlines had cancelled the flights to return me to my home. Expedia did nothing to assist with my problems with returning home instead I paid them an additional $3500 usd for new flights to get home and made the request for my money to be refunded for the cancelled flights FYI I had also paid Expedia for flight insurance for my trip. I have now been home for 4 weeks Expedia have now told me I won’t be getting any refund they also refuse to reply to any of my emails their chat support constantly tells you they don’t have any agents available. I have also tried calling several times being put on hold for 2 hours each time and having to hang up as my mobile phone is about to explode because of the heat. I honestly believe that due the circumstances we currently find ourselves in that not too many people are currently booking flights and hotels which means Expedia staff can’t possibly be that busy and are blissfully ignoring their responsibilities to their customers.     I have loved Expedia since I started traveling on my own and the checkout process is always easy for me. Overall the app is decent and could use a few more features. For example when searching for an all inclusive on the website you can filter that option but in the app you must scroll through all hotels, motels and resorts. Also, I wish that you didn’t have to specifically search from one airport. The app states that it’s to help you find the best deal but to me the best deal would be found by checking all available airports that I am willing to travel to without having to research and put back in all of my filters every time. Also, they claim that it is cheaper to book through the app but I have always found that the better bundles are found on the website. It would also be nice if there was an “availability calendar” like on some other sights where you can see how much cheaper it would be to stay a different night. Another feature that would interest me is being able to search an entire country as your destination to try to find new and cool places to stay in a specific country.

    *Update; my Expedia points only seem to update when I sign out & then sign back in. So far it's worked very well for me! Easy to book and manage bookings. Expedia called me after Air Canada changed my fight times. Will definitely keep using this site. Looking forward to my Maui trip. Thanks Expedia for finding a great deal for me!

    Expedia and the hillside inn. I called and asked for a refund because our car broke down and we were never able to make it. The trip was for my 8 year old whom had a birthday that day and it was ruined. I’ve called and asked politely if I could receive a refund or my money back for the room and no one has contacted me or spoke to me since my calls. They won’t reply to email and a manager never got back with me to try and help me out. We’ve stayed here a couple times and I’m very disappointed that no one who works for Expedia or the hotel never contacted me. The costumers always right. That was an 8 year olds birthday money wasted for a trip that she never was able to enjoy. Honestly if you are a hotel that says that they would lose money because they could of booked the room to someone else. I’m sorry but if you are making that much money because the hotel is booked then why can’t they simply give me something that is still rightfully mine. I just want and need something that should be respectfully mine and my daughter.

    Perfect place to stay if you enjoy easy access to the marina and the beach. It is a small and quiet resort. Which we like because we go as a family and not the party scene. Which was cool for us 20 years ago ;) Service staff was very friendly and accommodating. Only complaint is trying to sign us up for the marketing sales pitch at their sister resort as soon as we checked in. When we politely said no, the front sales staff became rude and wouldn’t acknowledge us the entire week we were there. Not a biggie, but it’s polite to at least say hello or good after afternoon when passing by. What they forget to tell you is you can still go to the sister resort 10 mins away and enjoy the luxurious pools and view and also includes the all inclusive if you have that package. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. We also didn’t need the sales pitch for discounts on activities. We met a very nice young man at the marina who took great care of us setting up the clear fiberglass boat and the dolphins experience.

    After going on our first family trip to universal studios Orlando we tried to save money and purchase tickets through Expedia.. unfortunately the purchase was made for universal Hollywood... After freaking out because the purchase was over $$900 and they informed me there was a strict no refund policy I really was devastated... We were able to come up with the funds to enter Orlando but we were out the $900... After communicating with supervisor after supervisor they were able to contact Hollywood and ask for a refund. .. it took a few weeks but I was refunded the entire amount and they kept in contact with me throughout the entire process.. I'm definitely extremely grateful they went the extra mile to make that happen..I have a large family and we saved up for that family vacation for a while .. We will definitely be using Expedia again because the customer service was great!

    I used this app for the first time this year. I had several issues with it that resulted in lowering my rating. First, I booked my trips on the website, then downloaded the app. Not all of my reservations loaded in the app and it appeared to be due to the auto-generated email address the app created for me. I couldn’t get any reservations made under my real email address to convert to the app. Second, I needed to update/cancel a booking on two different occasions. Anytime I attempted through the app I received a notice that the service was down and the request couldn’t be completed. I had to use the website to actually manage the bookings, which is counterintuitive. Finally, I stayed in two very poor hotels and wanted to give reviews. The app generates a link to use when reviewing. However, it’s not a hyperlink so you have to cut and paste into your browser. I attempted this multiple times, only to be told the link wasn’t legitimate. - I’ve traveled extensively throughout the world and this was the first time I’ve ever used Expedia. I believe other sites/apps are easier and don’t expect to use them again.

    We went for a weekend getaway to Hilton Head in January and decided to stay at Omni Resort. It was a wonderful experience! Our room was spacious, very clean and the best thing is-it had a kitchenette. It also had two bathroom vanities, separated by one being inside a bathroom and one on the outside of bathroom. Our room had ocean view with a balcony. But the best part was the pools and two hot tubs! The pools were heated and super warm. The outside bar (closed for the season) and bathrooms were conveniently close. You could rent bikes right there at the pool area if you wanted to. In the evenings, we sat by a beautiful built-in gas fire pit surrounded by many chairs. There were a few fire pits through the resort. Also, there were many other activities that you could do for entertaining—large chess in the grass, bean bag toss, etc. A beautiful restaurant was on site as well, even though we didn’t end up eating there. The overall experience at Omni Resort was a pleasure, and we’d highly recommend it.

    We recently book 5 international flight tickets through Expedia on Virgin Atlantic. Virgin canceled one leg of our trip from San Francisco to Johannesburg. The 1st leg from SFO to London was canceled. I received an email notice from Expedia after which I contacted the customer care number being a Gold member for years now expecting a smooth solution to the problem. After multiple calls spending more than 7 hours on the phone and being promised every time that our case is in good hands and that Expedia will send us email confirmation informing us about an alternative solution. I’m still waiting and did not receive any emails with alternative solutions to our canceled flight. The only email I did receive was confirmation of the cancellation of our bookings after my call with a representative today. Very disappointed in the way our case was handled, the empty promises by representatives with no solution to our canceled flight.

    Continues to be a problematic application. Most recently it failed to provide a portal for check-in of an airline trip because the flight was a chartered booking (a common situation now). The charter did not have its own check-in portal and did not identify the named airline it was using for the trip. Further, the online help at Expedia was slow, cumbersome, and offered no more than what the web site provided. No solutions provided. No customer care of any kind was offered.

    I booked three hotel rooms and two flights on Expedia for a recent trip. None of the hotels had ever heard of me, although the rooms had been pre-paid. I had to double pay for the rooms, then spend hours on the phone to get them to authorize my pre-payment and get a refund for the hotels. Same with the airlines. They got my reservations right, but although the airlines had my wife’s name and reservation number…and CONFIRMATION numbers from both the airline and Expedia…they did not have authorization from Expedia to issue her boarding pass. On the outbound flight, we flew Alaska. They were able to call Expedia and get her boarding pass, but it took them 45 minutes. Good thing we arrived at the airport early! On the return flight, we flew Delta and tried to preemptively fix the issue the night before our flight. The Expedia lady tried to assure us that everything was good to go for our flight the next morning, but we had just talked to Delta, and they said it was not. Bottom line was that we ended up buying another ticket at a higher price from Delta the next morning, because Delta would NOT honor my wife’s reservation. (Again, mine was ok.) WE HAVE STILL NOT BEEN ISSUED A REFUND FOR THE DELTA TICKET AND WE NEVER WILL BE. Our trip was 5 days and four nights. We spent nearly 7 hours on the phone with Expedia during that time. (No exaggeration.) Do yourself a favor: use Expedia for the information but don’t give them a dime. You will regret it if you do.

    So far, fail. Booked a hotel, simple stuff. Got an email with itinerary and confirmation. Cannot see my itinerary with the app, using the email I used to log in and book and the itinerary I was sent. The app I'd best described as "ADS EVERYWHERE" combined with a "Welcome to the 19th century" vibe. I'll write all this info down in cuneiform before I enter the stagecoach for my trip.

    I use Expedia pretty often, about once a month on average. I’m in a long-distance marriage because of my military deployment schedule. This month, my wife and I were finally going on our long overdue honeymoon (6 years), but the DoD has put out travel restrictions that would allow that to happen. So I went on the Expedia app to cancel/change my reservation. I managed to cancel my flights, but I didn’t cancel my hotel because there was no refund option or an option to change my reservation. At that point I was okay with just canceling my flight and contacting Expedia to see what I could do about my hotel reservation. But as get off the app and am about to make the call to Expedia, I receive multiple emails regarding my cancellations. To my surprise, the hotel was also cancelled. This was a $3,000 resort in Aruba. I proceed to call customer service, and waited on hold for over an hour, then the call just dropped out of nowhere. Luckily, I went online earlier to schedule Expedia customer service to call me. When they did, I could hardly communicate with the agent because it seemed as if English was not their native language. The agent proceeded to transfer me to another person to help then they hung up on me. I cannot afford another $3,000 for a vacation and now I cannot take my wife on the honeymoon I promised her. This will definitely be the last time I use Expedia or any of its sister companies.

    Expedia confirmed our booking over email and sms and when I arrived at the hotel there was no booking at all. I was on the phone with Expedia customer service for one hour, i was polite all the time because of my kids. They hang up on us, no booking. Worst service I've ever experience.

    In the past this app has worked well but recently, I’m going back a couple of updates now over the past couple of months it’s head above where when you are on the road and you start to search for a motel it will randomly choose some date in the future instead of defaulting to the current days date for your check in time. Most people on the road which no doubt account for the largest Group of users need it to default to the current days date for the check-in date, not to some random date in the future. And even if people were looking for a room for the future what are the chances that the random date this app chooses is going to be the one you need, so it’s better to have it default to the current date for check-in and the following day for check out the way it used to. That’s much more convenient for the largest group of users. I’ve even changed the date to the current day and then head to choose a different town because the initial town I searched and didn’t have enough motels, find a room book it and then find out later the app and change the date to a random date in the future causing me then have to spend an hour calling Expedia: 3 service to get it straightened out. Please fix the app where it defaults to the current days date for check-in and the following days date for check out the way it has always done in the past.

    I'd give it zero stars if I could. Was never sent an itinerary number and chose the option not to pay until later. I can't talk to anyone without an itinerary number or last four of the card I used. Since I haven't paid yet, my card isn't on file. I'll be forced to pay and then have to wait a week for a refund transfer. Why make it impossible to talk to an agent without an IT number? If I don't manage to cancel my hotel I will never go through Expedia again. Borderline scam.

    My points that I earn continuously disappear. I book a lot of rooms for work and save my points up and several times now after saving up my points I would go to use them and they would be way less than what I had saved up or they would be gone. It is a nightmare getting customer service to help you. Booking a room is easy buy I am not happy about losing my points that I earned.

    I have used Expedia for YEARS. This has always been my go-to service for hotels, flights, and cars. I was supposed to go to Atlanta for work and happily booked my plane tickets through Expedia as I always did. With the COVID crisis and travel restrictions, my trip to Atlanta needed to be canceled. For some reason I wasn’t able to cancel my flight online, and was instructed to call customer service. I did, and received a recording that because my travel was not in the next 72h they could not help me, and to call back when I was within that window. So I waited until Sunday, when I was finally in the 72h window. I was on hold for 3 hours, with no option for a call back, before being disconnected without speaking to anyone. I called back at 10pm Sunday night. I slept on and off, with my phone on speakerphone until I woke up at 5am, still on hold. I didn’t speak to a representative until 8am Monday morning- at that point I had been on hold for 10 HOURS. I explained the situation to the gentleman (named David) and asked that if we got disconnected to please call me back as I had been on hold all night. He confirmed my phone number and happily agreed. 1h and 15 minutes later, with absolutely no resolution, the call was disconnected. No. Call Back. 11h15m wasted. I called Delta, got an immediate response AND they refunded my ticket. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER USE EXPEDIA FOR ANYTHING ELSE AS LONG AS I LIVE DUE TO HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN.

    Excruciating. After the 4th time of it booting me off and making me re-enter all my information, they changed the dates on me and didn't tell me until after confirmation. Then when I went to change the dates they kept telling me my last 4 of my debt card were wrong. When I finally tracked down the itinerary instead, and corrected the dates, they didn't give me any options, just said "this is your new price." Not even in USD. They just wore me out so I wouldn't even argue it. Not using again.

    Perfect place to stay if you enjoy easy access to the marina and the beach. It is a small and quiet resort. Which we like because we go as a family and not the party scene. Which was cool for us 20 years ago ;) Service staff was very friendly and accommodating. Only complaint is trying to sign us up for the marketing sales pitch at their sister resort as soon as we checked in. When we politely said no, the front sales staff became rude and wouldn’t acknowledge us the entire week we were there. Not a biggie, but it’s polite to at least say hello or good after afternoon when passing by. What they forget to tell you is you can still go to the sister resort 10 mins away and enjoy the luxurious pools and view and also includes the all inclusive if you have that package. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. We also didn’t need the sales pitch for discounts on activities. We met a very nice young man at the marina who took great care of us setting up the clear fiberglass boat and the dolphins experience.

    After going on our first family trip to universal studios Orlando we tried to save money and purchase tickets through Expedia.. unfortunately the purchase was made for universal Hollywood... After freaking out because the purchase was over $$900 and they informed me there was a strict no refund policy I really was devastated... We were able to come up with the funds to enter Orlando but we were out the $900... After communicating with supervisor after supervisor they were able to contact Hollywood and ask for a refund. .. it took a few weeks but I was refunded the entire amount and they kept in contact with me throughout the entire process.. I'm definitely extremely grateful they went the extra mile to make that happen..I have a large family and we saved up for that family vacation for a while .. We will definitely be using Expedia again because the customer service was great!

    We went for a weekend getaway to Hilton Head in January and decided to stay at Omni Resort. It was a wonderful experience! Our room was spacious, very clean and the best thing is-it had a kitchenette. It also had two bathroom vanities, separated by one being inside a bathroom and one on the outside of bathroom. Our room had ocean view with a balcony. But the best part was the pools and two hot tubs! The pools were heated and super warm. The outside bar (closed for the season) and bathrooms were conveniently close. You could rent bikes right there at the pool area if you wanted to. In the evenings, we sat by a beautiful built-in gas fire pit surrounded by many chairs. There were a few fire pits through the resort. Also, there were many other activities that you could do for entertaining—large chess in the grass, bean bag toss, etc. A beautiful restaurant was on site as well, even though we didn’t end up eating there. The overall experience at Omni Resort was a pleasure, and we’d highly recommend it.

    We recently book 5 international flight tickets through Expedia on Virgin Atlantic. Virgin canceled one leg of our trip from San Francisco to Johannesburg. The 1st leg from SFO to London was canceled. I received an email notice from Expedia after which I contacted the customer care number being a Gold member for years now expecting a smooth solution to the problem. After multiple calls spending more than 7 hours on the phone and being promised every time that our case is in good hands and that Expedia will send us email confirmation informing us about an alternative solution. I’m still waiting and did not receive any emails with alternative solutions to our canceled flight. The only email I did receive was confirmation of the cancellation of our bookings after my call with a representative today. Very disappointed in the way our case was handled, the empty promises by representatives with no solution to our canceled flight.

Purchased a ticket to fly 1140 P.m. they use third-party third-party for the flight “Volaris.” So when we got to the air had no flight going to Guadalajara. So Frontier try to book flight the next night to go Guadalajara. Same time One day later. Check with Volaris they had no flights The next night to Guadalajara. Frontier Airlines are selling tickets for flights that don’t exist. This was was it a important flight so we can receive grandmas body that was being flown to Guadalajara. So you can see why we are so upset with this problem. Expedia need to re-consider using frontier Airlines. I’ve used Expedia all the time. This experience has been so bad. Right now The way I feel I don’t know if I want use Expedia again. I hope to frontier Airlines sailing practice. And straighten it out or quit promoting flight through Frontier Airlines.

    I usually swear by this app and have used it quite a lot, and told my husband to use it going across country, and tell everyone else to use it, too. But right now I need a hotel for TONIGHT after midnight and it won’t even LET me put tonight’s date in! If the hotels won’t allow me to book, that is one thing, and not in the control of the app. Let me find that out when I put the date in and then nothing comes up. Now I have no idea how I will even LOOK for something. Totally ridiculous. If the only response from Expedia customer service is going to be that no hotel will be available so therefore you didn't think there was a point to have that option be available, or if the response will be anything other than that this ridiculous policy/dumb mistake that that the app developers made will be changed please don’t insult me with a ‘response’. Keep it to yourselves.

    Let me just say how fantastic the staff of the Hyatt Centric were! My wife and daughter flew from the states overnight on Delta and arrived at the hotel around 8:30 a.m. Hyatt employee Caleb spoke to my wife and let her know that the room was not ready till a bit later. He was able to work his magic and got my wife and 10 year old daughter into their room a bit earlier than that. I was going to Join them in the morning later traveling from Dublin. Upon my arrival at the hotel I was greeted by Catiana. She was so welcoming and provided me with a warm and welcoming experience. Check in went very smoothly and I met up with my family. During our stay, the front desk was fabulous with directions, tour bookings and general recommendations for the area. The hotel is brand new, and has comfortable accommodations and nicely appointed amenities. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants an American style stay in Europe.

    I recently booked a trip through Expedia, I travelled from Grand Cayman to Thailand then 3 days before my return found out that Emirate airlines had cancelled the flights to return me to my home. Expedia did nothing to assist with my problems with returning home instead I paid them an additional $3500 usd for new flights to get home and made the request for my money to be refunded for the cancelled flights FYI I had also paid Expedia for flight insurance for my trip. I have now been home for 4 weeks Expedia have now told me I won’t be getting any refund they also refuse to reply to any of my emails their chat support constantly tells you they don’t have any agents available. I have also tried calling several times being put on hold for 2 hours each time and having to hang up as my mobile phone is about to explode because of the heat. I honestly believe that due the circumstances we currently find ourselves in that not too many people are currently booking flights and hotels which means Expedia staff can’t possibly be that busy and are blissfully ignoring their responsibilities to their customers.     I have loved Expedia since I started traveling on my own and the checkout process is always easy for me. Overall the app is decent and could use a few more features. For example when searching for an all inclusive on the website you can filter that option but in the app you must scroll through all hotels, motels and resorts. Also, I wish that you didn’t have to specifically search from one airport. The app states that it’s to help you find the best deal but to me the best deal would be found by checking all available airports that I am willing to travel to without having to research and put back in all of my filters every time. Also, they claim that it is cheaper to book through the app but I have always found that the better bundles are found on the website. It would also be nice if there was an “availability calendar” like on some other sights where you can see how much cheaper it would be to stay a different night. Another feature that would interest me is being able to search an entire country as your destination to try to find new and cool places to stay in a specific country.

    Zero stars !!!. I booked a flight for April 10, 2018 from Tampa, Florida to Newark. When we got to the airport we found out Expedia had booked it for July 10, 2018. We called Expedia and they said they couldn’t do anything and that it was our problem. We had to ask the United people if we could change our flight date and she said that all the flights that day were sold out and they won’t help us , I had to ask to speak with the United flights supervisor after pleading for help, she could help us book a flight for the next day but we had to buy new tickets. Because of this I almost lost my job and my kids missed an important test that day. Once we got to Newark I made a dispute and they said they would resolve my issue in 2 weeks. I called in 2 weeks and was told that we would not get a refund and that it was not Expedia’s fault for changing the date on our flight.

    I booked a one-way flight from Rome to Cleveland Ohio. I am very aware that going anywhere in and out of Cleveland Ohio is difficult. I did get a good deal on that one flight, although alittle misleading as the cost shown initially was more with all the fees. A couple things I’d suggest, that Expedia allow you to look at your previous travels. There’s no access to your travel history. I needed to know about the hotel I stayed at three weeks ago and the price paid. There was no way to access it. Also I loved the hotel and I wanted to give it a good review but because it was three weeks previous, they blocked the review. Some people travel longer than two weeks and it would be good to allow a review -even a couple of months later. After you get home and have time. Otherwise I do like and use Expedia for travel, but mostly flights.

    I used this app for the first time this year. I had several issues with it that resulted in lowering my rating. First, I booked my trips on the website, then downloaded the app. Not all of my reservations loaded in the app and it appeared to be due to the auto-generated email address the app created for me. I couldn’t get any reservations made under my real email address to convert to the app. Second, I needed to update/cancel a booking on two different occasions. Anytime I attempted through the app I received a notice that the service was down and the request couldn’t be completed. I had to use the website to actually manage the bookings, which is counterintuitive. Finally, I stayed in two very poor hotels and wanted to give reviews. The app generates a link to use when reviewing. However, it’s not a hyperlink so you have to cut and paste into your browser. I attempted this multiple times, only to be told the link wasn’t legitimate. - I’ve traveled extensively throughout the world and this was the first time I’ve ever used Expedia. I believe other sites/apps are easier and don’t expect to use them again.

    I had to cancel a flight with United Airlines due to recent changes with COVID 19. Once I was booking the false information said both flights and hotel can be cancel within 24 hours of departure if there is need to cancel. As we are living in a pandemic era and changes can can occur I booked my trip. I had to cancel my trip the hotel was refunded. However the United airlines Flight was not. They kept the money saying it can not be refunded only use in another flight. When I try to book a new flight took over 7 hours of back and forth with Expedia over the phone. After everything was about to be done. They downgraded my flight from 1st class to economy and kept my reminding balance... in my opinion the are thieves both Expedia for misinformation and problematic.... united Airlines has no respect for the customer , they keep your money at all cost, lying and horrible play with the customer to make a gain only for them.... I would not suggest or recommend any of this companies ...

    I had to book this location as a last resort for Parent’s Weekend at Texas A&M. I say last resort because the rate was 3x’s the regular rate & the entire city was booked. I get it- supply/demand, should have planned earlier, they are a business, etc. But, it is hard to stomach paying a luxury hotel rate for this hotel. The rooms are outdated & showing their years (rusted/stained tub, paint chipped all over, stains on everything, musty smoke smell, broken old alarm clock, and a toilet that literally ran for 10 mins every time you flushed it). The pool was locked and clearly in need of some TLC. That said, the location was great (across from the University & we could walk to dinner at Fuegos!!). In the end, we hoped that they made enough money over Parent’s Weekend to fix the pool or slap a new coat of paint on the place. If you need a cheap place to stay (charging regular rates), don’t care about aesthetics or extras, and nothing is going on in town, it could work.

I book a lot of rooms for work and save my points up and several times now after saving up my points I would go to use them and they would be way less than what I had saved up or they would be gone. It is a nightmare getting customer service to help you. Booking a room is easy buy I am not happy about losing my points that I earned.

    I had a hotel reservation in Kansas City. When I got to the hotel there were people that had already checked in the hotel waiting for various things such as their room keys weren’t working there were no ice buckets etc. The door to the front desk was locked and no one was inside. I said what is going on? The hotel guests informed me they had been waiting for over an hour for someone to return to the front desk. I had a wedding to attend that day so I waited a half an hour in addition thinking surely someone would show up. No one did, so I left and after about the fourth or fifth hotel I finally got a room somewhere else (not using Expedia) paying triple the price. I checked in and started getting ready to go to the wedding. Finally, and a full two hours after this all started, I was able to get someone to answer at the previous hotel. I told her what happened and she said she was also the maid and couldn’t help it. So I called Expedia and I have been waiting I think this is a day 15 or 16 for a full refund. They gave me a partial, but they kept saying that I didn’t cancel in time. I was like how could I cancel in time (the day before) when I didn’t know that no one would be there to check me in. I am still waiting on that refund and having to call about it. It is ridiculous.

    Update: They never update this App in the way they need to. Please read below. Honestly it’s frustrating how they organize it. At this point, I’m going start using Booking. I only use the App for hotels. Their changes to “Trips” is too confusing now. It used to show hotels and flights reserved in chronological order. Now they’ve put so many other things in it, it useless and confusing. I keep going to the wrong hotels. The way the App works makes it easy to screw up a reservation. I meant to book a flight for my wife and because the App is so speedy my name went on the ticket. I couldn't change the ticket name once the error was found. At least a website is step-by-step eliminating errors. Then there is the issue of queen and double beds with hotel rooms. There have been so many instances where the hotels say I reserved a double bed room. :( Booking airline flights is a headache now. First of all not all airlines are listed on Expedia, resulting on it being better to go onto other travel websites. Then the website recommends using unpractical flights. For instance a short 1 hour flight can turn into a 10+ hours flight just to get cheaper airfare. At this point I've taken to using other websites for travel

    I highly recommend just using this app to strictly compare prices (kayak and hopper are also great apps for this and hopper has cheaper flights than any other place I’ve found). This is the second time booking my flight through Expedia. The first time was not that bad. This time though I had to do schedule changes for my flight. I called Expedia twice. They explained to me that they had a fee of about $90 to change the date (no biggie I understand) and that I had to pay the difference in price (again understandable) my ticket originally cost $340 and I looked up online how much of a difference it would be to estimate about how much I would be paying which was roughly $200 in total. I called the first time and I gave them specific flight numbers and time to make their job a bit easier, and the end result they were asking for was $800 which is a little over the top. I didn’t want to pay that much so I hung up and called again with in seconds to double check. And once I gave the exact information and everything the end amount was $1000 ???!! I understand that prices fluctuated but that was crazy. So I cut out the middle man (Expedia) and called the airline and ended up changing the dates for just $215.

    Well first I came into Hertz from a third party (Expedia) and thought I had already paid for it, as well as paid for extended collision insurance. No that’s not the what happened! I knew I had to show license and proof of insurance but had to rescan my card and add $32 per day for the extended insurance. Not the $10 a day that the website said! Ok I guess I should be so surprised! Now I am told to go out to zone 2 and pick any car from that area. I am intercepted by an employee that looks at my paperwork and sends me over to where they are cleaning and taking back other car’s! I go over to where she sent me and another girl grabs my paperwork and throws it in the trash! God I was so mad! I then grab the paperwork out of the trash ask another man where I should go to get my car and he points back to where I first came from. I decided to just jump in the first car in that area that had a 2 on the sign. By then all the people that where standing in line in back of me were getting into the cars and ended up with what was left. It was not a smooth experience at all! Poor actually I would say! Train your employees please! We are your customers and it is how you get paid!

    I was trying to use my Expedia credit that I got from last year’s cancelled flight w/ Delta. When I tried using it on Expedia, the website kept giving me an error message and telling me to call the company. First of all, it took about two and a half hours to have someone pick up the phone (yes, I waited 2.5 hours, twice). Second of all, the reps (from both times) seemed to be working from India/different area, based on their accents - I have zero issue with who helps me, but it was honestly really difficult for me to understand them. On top of that, their connection was bad, so my call got dropped twice (I know it wasn’t me, because I was able to call other people just fine on my wi-fi). Third of all, Expedia couldn’t get me my credits, because they couldn’t figure out the problem. I will have to call Delta directly now and see whether they can help me with using my credit. I had no issues with Expedia until now, but this experience has been so bad that I will not be using Expedia ever again nor recommend it to others.

    I waited 4 hours on hold today-March 30. Then I was hung up on. So I tried again and waited another4 hours and got cut off. Then I did 2more hours but I have to go to bed... I just wanted to ask if I was being refunded my airfare (I had called Turkish Airlines and they said I qualified because of Covid-19 so cancelled through the app) and not getting future credit. I tried the automated system too and got nowhere. I am afraid to wait the 30 days to see if it goes back on my card and then be told it’s too late for a refund and this trip cost over $2700! I will need that money. It has been very frustrating. Today, 31 March, I got an email trying to smooth my feathers but I am still so upset and so tired of the process! They could use an automated system to call back customers and not just cut off the phone calls!! I am so very disgusted with this customer service. Yes, you’re getting slammed and so are we! I don’t have that kind of money sitting around and want it back!! I don’t want travel credit, especially when the airline said I was qualified for a total refund!

    I’ve booked with Expedia in the past and every time I do, I ask myself why? I suppose because I forget the trauma and frustration and Expedia feels reliable. And it is. I can always count on it to raise my blood pressure! All jokes aside, I tried to rebook a flight that it said was available. I wanted a better airline. I guess I should have rebooked it before I cancelled, but I didn’t, and when I tried to rebook, it told me my seats couldn’t be reserved and then told me the flight was sold out and to search again. I do it again, the same flights still show up but they are sold out. I tried multiple times and it kept showing me the sold out flights, lets me go through check out and then tells me it’s sold out. How can it know it’s sold out but still show in the search? I nearly had a heart attack. In the past, I had to cancel a flight and it was technically easy but ultimately they accidentally charged me for a cancelled flight. That has nothing to do with the app but just a FYI on Expedia. My Bank was able to sort it out for me.

    Came to check in at 2:20pm to see if any rooms were available before the 3pm normal check in. There was just a man sitting at the counter that said No check in before 3 and he didn’t work there, the staff would be back at 3. I came back at 3:05 and there were already 3 people ahead of me. By the time I checked in and to the room it took 40 mins. Pool was cemented in and old furnishings and garbage was around it in 4 large piles. We weren’t given a wifi password at check in so had to call to get that, our hair dryer sounded like a jet engine, pieces came out then stoped working all together, the floors and linen and furniture were clean so when you walked in it felt decent compared to the outside only to find two bugs in the bath tub and the second day there were 40-50 tiny little ants around the toilet and tub. Staff did come and spray and take care of the ants within 10 minutes. If you’re looking for good sleep, walls are super thin and guest seemed exceptionally loud. Will never be back.

    Continues to be a problematic application. Most recently it failed to provide a portal for check-in of an airline trip because the flight was a chartered booking (a common situation now). The charter did not have its own check-in portal and did not identify the named airline it was using for the trip. Further, the online help at Expedia was slow, cumbersome, and offered no more than what the web site provided. No solutions provided. No customer care of any kind was offered.

    I booked three hotel rooms and two flights on Expedia for a recent trip. None of the hotels had ever heard of me, although the rooms had been pre-paid. I had to double pay for the rooms, then spend hours on the phone to get them to authorize my pre-payment and get a refund for the hotels. Same with the airlines. They got my reservations right, but although the airlines had my wife’s name and reservation number…and CONFIRMATION numbers from both the airline and Expedia…they did not have authorization from Expedia to issue her boarding pass. On the outbound flight, we flew Alaska. They were able to call Expedia and get her boarding pass, but it took them 45 minutes. Good thing we arrived at the airport early! On the return flight, we flew Delta and tried to preemptively fix the issue the night before our flight. The Expedia lady tried to assure us that everything was good to go for our flight the next morning, but we had just talked to Delta, and they said it was not. Bottom line was that we ended up buying another ticket at a higher price from Delta the next morning, because Delta would NOT honor my wife’s reservation. (Again, mine was ok.) WE HAVE STILL NOT BEEN ISSUED A REFUND FOR THE DELTA TICKET AND WE NEVER WILL BE. Our trip was 5 days and four nights. We spent nearly 7 hours on the phone with Expedia during that time. (No exaggeration.) Do yourself a favor: use Expedia for the information but don’t give them a dime. You will regret it if you do.

    I use Expedia pretty often, about once a month on average. I’m in a long-distance marriage because of my military deployment schedule. This month, my wife and I were finally going on our long overdue honeymoon (6 years), but the DoD has put out travel restrictions that would allow that to happen. So I went on the Expedia app to cancel/change my reservation. I managed to cancel my flights, but I didn’t cancel my hotel because there was no refund option or an option to change my reservation. At that point I was okay with just canceling my flight and contacting Expedia to see what I could do about my hotel reservation. But as get off the app and am about to make the call to Expedia, I receive multiple emails regarding my cancellations. To my surprise, the hotel was also cancelled. This was a $3,000 resort in Aruba. I proceed to call customer service, and waited on hold for over an hour, then the call just dropped out of nowhere. Luckily, I went online earlier to schedule Expedia customer service to call me. When they did, I could hardly communicate with the agent because it seemed as if English was not their native language. The agent proceeded to transfer me to another person to help then they hung up on me. I cannot afford another $3,000 for a vacation and now I cannot take my wife on the honeymoon I promised her. This will definitely be the last time I use Expedia or any of its sister companies.

    In the past this app has worked well but recently, I’m going back a couple of updates now over the past couple of months it’s head above where when you are on the road and you start to search for a motel it will randomly choose some date in the future instead of defaulting to the current days date for your check in time. Most people on the road which no doubt account for the largest Group of users need it to default to the current days date for the check-in date, not to some random date in the future. And even if people were looking for a room for the future what are the chances that the random date this app chooses is going to be the one you need, so it’s better to have it default to the current date for check-in and the following day for check out the way it used to. That’s much more convenient for the largest group of users. I’ve even changed the date to the current day and then head to choose a different town because the initial town I searched and didn’t have enough motels, find a room book it and then find out later the app and change the date to a random date in the future causing me then have to spend an hour calling Expedia: 3 service to get it straightened out. Please fix the app where it defaults to the current days date for check-in and the following days date for check out the way it has always done in the past.

    I'd give it zero stars if I could. Was never sent an itinerary number and chose the option not to pay until later. I can't talk to anyone without an itinerary number or last four of the card I used. Since I haven't paid yet, my card isn't on file. I'll be forced to pay and then have to wait a week for a refund transfer. Why make it impossible to talk to an agent without an IT number? If I don't manage to cancel my hotel I will never go through Expedia again. Borderline scam.

    I have used Expedia for YEARS. This has always been my go-to service for hotels, flights, and cars. I was supposed to go to Atlanta for work and happily booked my plane tickets through Expedia as I always did. With the COVID crisis and travel restrictions, my trip to Atlanta needed to be canceled. For some reason I wasn’t able to cancel my flight online, and was instructed to call customer service. I did, and received a recording that because my travel was not in the next 72h they could not help me, and to call back when I was within that window. So I waited until Sunday, when I was finally in the 72h window. I was on hold for 3 hours, with no option for a call back, before being disconnected without speaking to anyone. I called back at 10pm Sunday night. I slept on and off, with my phone on speakerphone until I woke up at 5am, still on hold. I didn’t speak to a representative until 8am Monday morning- at that point I had been on hold for 10 HOURS. I explained the situation to the gentleman (named David) and asked that if we got disconnected to please call me back as I had been on hold all night. He confirmed my phone number and happily agreed. 1h and 15 minutes later, with absolutely no resolution, the call was disconnected. No. Call Back. 11h15m wasted. I called Delta, got an immediate response AND they refunded my ticket. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER USE EXPEDIA FOR ANYTHING ELSE AS LONG AS I LIVE DUE TO HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN.

    Excruciating. After the 4th time of it booting me off and making me re-enter all my information, they changed the dates on me and didn't tell me until after confirmation. Then when I went to change the dates they kept telling me my last 4 of my debt card were wrong. When I finally tracked down the itinerary instead, and corrected the dates, they didn't give me any options, just said "this is your new price." Not even in USD. They just wore me out so I wouldn't even argue it. Not using again.

    Me and my father bought our tickets $500 dollars and for return it was free next thing you know the cancelled my flight back so I called and they gaved me another flight closer they wanted to charge me for a return flight so I told them why would they charge me for something they cancelled they hanged up on me so I called them again but a different person answered so I told them the whole thing again. So they gaved me a flight a good flight but the thing was they the last flight to my destination was p.m so I was ok with that time. Now when we were at Washington my last flight they changed it at the last second and me and my father were freaking out on why would they do that so we were stuck at Washington tell we figured on what to do. So I called Expedia for a money return but the guy was falling asleep at the job real professional guys, so I was telling him why I wanted that so he told me “ok I’m going to call United for a refund so it’s going to take 7-8 minutes on the wait time so if the phone call hangs up is this number ok to call back” I said yes it is and guess what happened the call hanged up so supposedly he was going to call back but I guess he fell asleep on the job. So I called a taxi but what was the difference if it costed the same as a plane ticket $400 to Roanoke. So if you want to get ripped off and not get your money back then Expedia is the site. Oh yea I’m still waiting on that refund.
