You are not able to manually start and stop a trip for recording your mileage using this app. When you leave your location on a business trip and the entire trip needs to be logged for business, this app will automatically end the trip and start a new one when you have stopped for 10 minutes or longer. So pitstop for fuel, restroom and food, oops sorry, new trip. In my case when using the “free app” for 30 trips, (NOT) one 8 hour trip and return home consumed the entire free 30 trip per month allotment. For example, once I arrived at my destination I went to the store a mile down the street from my hotel and that was one trip because I left my location. Because I stopped and was in the store 15 minutes, returned to my hotel, that was a trip. Do not think you will be able to use this app for free, they have designed it to automatically burn through your 30 free trips quickly so you will have to make a $60 - $96 purchase this app from them. This problem could be fixed with allowing to manually start and stop trips and override the automatic start stop feature which is hugely annoying. This app does not do a good job explaining this auto start / stop feature on purpose and for good reason, I would not have downloaded this for even the “free version” had this been disclosed.

It used to be great but lately stopped recording my trips. Seems to only record about 5-6 trips and stops until they're assigned, never did this before. Lots of missed trips. :(

Really shoddy, frequently gets the address wrong (by anywhere from one door down to a few streets over), misses trips, and duplicates others with no rhyme or reason. Support offered some feckless suggestions but I found a way to resolve it. UNINSTALL AND DELETE DELETE DELETE. Even if the app did work it does not calculate the actual mileage you drive it uses its best guess for what the miles would be. It does not track enough information to withstand an IRS audit. Sorry, already deleted app.

I want to start off by saying that I pay for the premium access. I have been using this app for many years and for the first couple of years I could say this is WAS an excellent app but in the last year this app has been bad! I'm very frustrated at the inability of this app to keep track of my miles. One minute a trip will be there the next it's gone! And worst of all, I have caught many mistakes on trips that were either NOT logged or partially logged. I have lost faith in this app.
  • Good if you only drive for ridesharing

Otherwise it’s the most obnoxious app I had installed. It’s great for keeping track of your mileage and expenses incurred from working for Uber/Lyft/DoorDash/Shipt/Postmates or whatever. But say you only do that once in awhile... the app is still going to notify you every time you drive asking you to classify the trip, even if you have it set to automatically classify trips as personal or work, it’s still going to ask you to classify the trip which is incredibly annoying to me. Same with transactions, if you link your bank account to help keep track of revenue and expenses from ridesharing, it’ll constantly ask you to classify any transaction that it sees, even if you tell it to auto classify the transactions, it will still ask you. Again, incredibly obnoxious. I even contacted support about this and was hoping it was just a setting I missed but now. You either have an obnoxious amount of notifications that are unnecessary if you’re not ridesharing full time, or no notifications at all and you forget it’s there. Like, I paid for your service, could you maybe use that money to get some good app engineers to make it less annoying? Thanks but I’ll figure something else out. Deleted.

Losing miles. Whenever I open app to stop a trip..once I hit stop, the mileage is always less than it was before I hit stop. Major glitch for a mileage app.

UPDATED REVIEW: I’ve been able to stick with not paying and it was working out OK for a few months. You get 30 free automaticly tracked trips, then it switches to manual. The app, however, seems to be designed to force you to pay. I will turn off automatic tracking to save some trips because I am not working, but then the trips will still be tracked and now my free trip count is down a trip. It can never be turned off, even though it gives you the option to do so. Furthermore, the prices have only gone up and up and the prices are outrageous for what it is. In the beginning it seemed like a small company that cares, now it’s a popular app that does not care about the user. When I first started using it, it was a flawless app. Auto tracked miles or let you do it manually. Then suddenly they updated the app with premium features, which is fine..we all gotta make money. But then it turned into bullying the users into subscribing to the monthly premium costs. No real guidance on the change to premium. Then suddenly it kicks into my "free" app and im only allowed to track a certain amount of trips a month unless I want to upgrade to premium.

Can't tell the difference between walking and driving, or taking the subway. It constantly tries to track my trip when I am walking around my house or walk around the corner. The bigger problem is that it is not storing edits I make to past trips. It was unable to launch for months (this has been fixed), but when I try to go back and edit those trips, most of my edits do not get stored. I have wasted hours, over the course of weeks, trying to get months worth of trips classified and most of them just stay as they were.

Classifying trips is a nightmare. I have to classify the same trip multiple times and it will keep coming up as unclassified. When I need to look at the map to classify a trip, it will pull up the wrong map. The timestamps and dates will change randomly on a trip. I dont know how many trips I have classified wrong because it's showing me the wrong date, time, map, etc. And you want $8 per month for premium? I will be finding a new tracker app.

Update 3.2.2020 1 issue fixed but choosing last week, month etc brings inaccurate results.. when GPS turned off app repeatedly gives alarm notifications over and over I should not have to constantly send in fix tickets every update when I pay 8 a month!!! I have a note 10 5G plus u can't tell me it's my phone... The constant need for ME US to inform them of issues shows no care in testing and debugging before release!!! Do better fast or I'll switch to another service while the year is new!

Really wanted to love this app, but it infuriated me. Been an iphone user for a decade, plenty of experience navigating hundreds of apps...have used half a dozen mileage trackers thru the years. Everlance saved an important business trip, many miles, data clear visible in summary window, but it would export nothing but blank fields - and this after verifying all settings. There was no workflow to backtrack the process and solve the problem...at all. Google search only showed an older version, with solutions that no longer existed. Conclusion: all design, no brains or function...and lots of mileage reimbursement in the toilet. Premium account cancelled.

I checked the mileage tracker today and almost months of driving are not even logged, I had not checked as I thought it was not necessary to ALWAYs keep an eye on it. Now, the latest problem is that you have to get a subscription in order to keep unlimited mileage. It was always free before and now I realized this when my mileage is way off. Seriously, if you are looking for a legit and easy to use tracker that isn't shady find another app. Try MotoLog. Simple to use and no BS. Goodbye 👋

This apt is BIG BROTHER disguised as a sheep. Beware of the information they are obtaining. When you do cancel they disrupt your phone which requires a factory reset. Not cool. Everlance. :-(

  • Wonky

    By Imlynelle
I am not happy. I have on my second year as a premium subscriber. The app tracked best while a trial user last year. Once I paid for the year it wasn’t as accurate but was acceptable. Now, especially since they took my payment for this year the tracking is completely wonky. It’s even tracking mileage that doesn’t exist! It has me taking a trip when I was fast asleep with my phone with me. It is combining trips into 1 huge mess. I have even rebooted the app and my phone. I have been emailing them with no response. The chat box is no longer working. I used the transaction portion to track my expenses for my taxes. Very frustrating! There is no search available for me to see if an expense is already inputted. There are so many features that this app needs to make the transaction portion easier to use. I have emailed those suggestions many times with no response. I am patient and don’t mind waiting for improvement but I feel ignored and that the app is not being monitored. I would like my money back.
  • Annoying...

    By Colin Robertson
I’ve used Everlance for a few years now and it’s mostly fine. It sometimes stops working for some reason but the app does remind you at points when it’s no longer in memory to open it up so that it can track your drives. I really like the ‘favorite trips’ feature but don’t understand why you can’t flip a toggle to have it auto tag the drive from the other direction (round trip). It’s infuriatingly tedious to have to input the same trip in the other direction. However, the most annoying part about the favorite trips feature is the fact that’s it still gives a notification that it has “auto-tagged a favorite trip!” How about notifying me when it detects a trip is frequent one, ask me if I want to classify it as a ‘favorite’ trip, whether or not to make it round trip, and then, stop bugging me! The whole point is to not have to deal with the drives that you frequently make! Speaking of notifications, they tend to pile up quickly in Notification Center... If such a feature existed, I would embrace the option to receive a single notification at the end of every day reminding me to go in and tag my drives for the day. Also, shortcuts integration would be nice, to say, only start tracking when it detects my cars Bluetooth or CarPlay connection, or an NFC tag... that would help to avoid many of the above issues...
  • By Darrick Rosenberry
It was a good app but they have changed to only 30 trip free a month, that would be fine but some trips are me walking across my yard. And the premium is only subscription based, no perpetual license. I'll have to find another app. I've been using it for almost 4 years but the recent changes have pushed me out. I found another app that features trigger speed adjustment and is MUCH less expensive...
  • Great app in theory and if it worked well

    By badassbossbitch
In theory a great app but the problem is they every time I try to link my banking information the app either shuts down or when I try to I click my savings accounts it says a problem has occurred and I need to restart the app. I restart the app and it still won’t stop tracking certain accounts linked with my bank. It also factors in my normal day job and personal expenses in my income and expenses which throws off the accounting numbers since my day job is a W2 job and I have no expenses that I can write off. I was hoping it wouldn’t include those expenses and income when I marked them personal but that doesn’t seem to be an option. If the app would stop shutting down I would buy the premium version but not sure it’s worth the $60 a month
  • One major/fatal flaw

    By Ammiga
I love this app - when it works. The biggest problem is how frequently the app doesn’t stop trips. I just went in to categorize my last five days of driving to find that the app counted five full days of driving as one very long trip. This is not the first time I have had this problem. Every time it happens I need to uninstall and reinstall the app. It then works properly for a few days, and then I find myself in the same situation. Several trips, with major breaks between (often overnight), are all one long trip. I pay for the subscription so that I can track my miles and get properly reimbursed. This is an unacceptable glitch that is ongoing and costing me a ton of money.
  • What happened?

    By Anngee1119
I loved this app when I first installed it on my phone. It recorded everything! Then I ran out of my 25 free trips and decided that I liked it so much, it was worth the $7.99 monthly charge. Since then, it’s only recorded about 1 out of every 3 trips. I’m having to manually go back daily and add in my other trips. This is not what I wanted. I wanted to purchase the app that actually worked. It almost feels like a bait and switch. “Look! See how well the app works! You, too, can have this for the low low price of $7.99 monthly! (But after purchasing, we’re going to stop working and you’ll be angry and confused, but we have your $$ so we don’t care)”

Tracks when it wants to, leaving inaccurate information - some logs have $ filled out, some do not. If you use this don't expect it to be accurate for business unless MAYBE you document daily outside the app. Kind of difficult to rely on it when youre already in the car to leave and the service is inavailable. I've now got to go back and manually calculate for the 2019 yr. :(

Save yourself the hassle don't download this app. This is a liability not a helper. There are way better options. This app is extremely worthless. The GPS can't find any location even when you type the whole address in. It doesn't track miles easily, concisely, or even accurately. The bank import feature put your whole bank account in a list... Thanks for doing what my bank already does. I actually literally never seen it app this worthless in my life. It must be made by doordash.

Not the best. It is constantly duplicating trips, not accurately recording them. Some trips will show up days later. It also says it records 30 trips on the free app but then records me walking in my backyard as a trip and completely misses a 50+ mile work trip. It records a jump in the GPS as a trip saying I went to the next block and back. Has been very frustrating.
