    I really enjoy the concept of the app and really enjoy it but I recently came across a bug that when you pump gas at any pump station it takes away money before hand to cover the amount your about to spend but after it does not return the extra amount that was supposed to be left. Other banks have the same process but once you finish putting gas it just charges you the right amount but for envel the money never gets returned and takes away all the money in the envelope I made for gasoline. I contacted support but they took so long to return my money it was really annoying. Other than that the app is great

    Everything looks like it worked out. Your app really made me feel like I was being tossed into an endless loop of denial when a completely different screen popped up asking me to resubmit my documentation. I've had issues like this before elsewhere. I may have jumped the gun a bit too quickly this time. Thanks!

    I’m on the fence about Envel and it’s ease of use. I’m a former Simple Bank customer and I’m not yet convinced Envel is the right successor for me, even though I’m also an investor! I dislike the idea of having to switch my debit card from envelope to envelope. Sometimes I don’t have my phone with me. What’s the purpose of envelopes if I have to keep everything in Cash just to make sure i can access my funds? One more thing irking me is that I have a constant message to update the App but when I try to find the .2 version referenced I cannot find one. I’m stumped. I don’t have time for “difficult” so I’m on the fence.

    This bank is definitely great! The layout and interface is real cool to look at and move through while checking your account information. Great customer service as well! I noticed that my account became locked due to a mistake my end in which I caused a few payments to be reversed from using the wrong account details, and the customer service helped lift the hold from account in great timing. Very prompt service, and I highly recommend Envel!

    I absolutely 💕 this envel mobile app it's really awesome I haven't gotten a chance to actually add $ onto my card or anything but I will really soon I am really glad that I got this envel card it's really cool 🆒 I would highly recommend to family and friends and whoever else, might be interested in a cool 🆒 card like this and mobile app try it out it's worth it to have. 5/18/21 I got it a while ago I do believe I got it around November 2020 or even December 2020.

    If you’re trying to replace SIMPLE, I’d go elsewhere. There’s a couple of bank apps that resemble SIMPLE’s platform and a lot more simple to use without all the noise. ONE financial is one of them. They also have offers for us loyal SIMPLE users. I still haven’t received my paycheck from last week, I’ll be changing banks and deleting this one. I am nervous because my next paycheck will be coming to this bank and I have rent that is due by the end of the month and I can’t afford to wait another week+ to receive my last 2 paychecks. I thought this bank was going to be a keeper, especially since I invested $300 in the development for it. I really need my money ASAP, customer service told me that it would take 3 days we’re going on day 5 tomorrow.

    Love the app! It is super user friendly and honestly just fun and bright but also has a dark mode. I love that I don’t have to think much about budgeting with this, especially because it is like I have everything done via auto pilot and I can also manually move things around! Overall love it! Fun and innovative! Excited to see all the new features they will roll out soon from what it sounds like!

    UI is still not clean enough, too many cartoonish things. Also the blue accents and backgrounds for dark mode is unpleasantly playful and I wish it was greys. Also the joint envelopes can’t be set as default for AI. Like my individual bills envelope will never be used. My spouse and I will use my “joint bills” envelope only. I should be able to ask the AI to use that instead of the premade bills envelope. Or better yet, be able to share the premade envelope. Also and most importantly, I need a dedicated debit card, even a virtual one (so long as it doesn't show in systems as "Prepaid" like privacy.com cards) for each shared envelope. Our joint bills envelope needs a debit card to pay most of our bills. The rest can go ACH but most are paid with debit and can not pull from anywhere but that envelope. Keep it up, this is going to be the best banking service in the whole world!! You’re well on your way!! 😁👏

    Envel has been a great money organization tool for me, as I have always been really impulsive with spending and always drain my checking. I love the envelope concept which prompted me to actually set budgets for the first time in my life! And i found the interface much more preferable to use than comparatively my bank (love the emojis 😋) Definitely would recommend!!

    Transferred $500 between envelopes, and it's gone. I haven't been able to access my card or account for a week. I have contacted customer support which I'm almost positive is just a bot, because they keep calling me "Franchise". Humiliating, embarrassing. At this point my Netflix charge was rejected because I couldn't move money to my bills envelope without it disappearing. Don't use this bank. If it's not fixed soon, I don't know what I'm going to do.

    I am pretty confident that I have been all out robbed by this banking app. A little over three weeks ago I opened an envelope count and promptly switched my direct deposit paycheck over. Couple days later I received my first direct deposit. But I had no debit card yet and then will does not offer A virtual card of any sort. So I am patient. Another week goes by with another direct deposit and no debit card. At this point I start to get anxious and I try to find a way to transfer some of the money from my Envel account to one of my other accounts. Ha ha not a chance!I was blocked at every turn trying to get my own money out of your bank. I tried to contact some sort of support within Envel. Never got past the chat bot. Except for once, I was told that Support was out for the weekend and I would hear back on Monday. I did but it was a canned response about a debit card being delivered and when I replied and asked another question, I was then ignored have sent several chat request since and I have been ignored. I even asked the chat but to close my account to which he replied that it would be done and I have been waiting in the money is still sitting in the app just as it was before, no attempt to transfer it to my linked account. And that concludes why I think I have been robbed by Envel. Thank you so much. I WANT MY MONEY BACK.

    Seems like a lot of people writing reviews are excited about what Envel MIGHT be in the future. But if you want to have a fully functioning bank, you really need to go elsewhere. Unfortunately, reading the fine print on their website will not help you, as they misrepresent their features. Case in point: Envel says that their Shared Envelope allows you to have a shared account that “anyone” can use to collectively deposit and withdraw funds — kind of like a joint account. Unfortunately, this is a lie. Anyone who uses a Shared envelope must also have an Envel account! Furthermore, Shared envelope users cannot transfer more than $1500 a day. So if you live in a household with shared expenses, you cannot manage your money if you need to manage more than $1500 a day (you know, like if you need to send your partner your share of the rent/mortgage payment so bills can be paid on time). Envel blames most of their problems on their partner bank, a tiny bank that is run out of Kansas City and doesn’t seem to be able to address modern banking needs. Further, if you want to set up bill pay with this tiny little bank you will either get denied access or be told this bank doesn’t exist. Very, very sketchy. I’ve asked Envel to update their marketing messages so they won’t trick future customers into believing it might work for them. So far, they have not.

    One star pending... For whatever reason my Samsung s10 can't load the app to even open past the envel main screen. I but my iPhone can open the app full and use it. Does anyone else have this problem with there Samsung or phone device and why is it this way for me at least. I've deleted the app and re-downloaded it and still the same thing. Help please. I really do wanna try the app.

    Terrible, I had issues one day after receiving funds to my account and since then I've had very little assistance, I can't pull out my money. I had help from customer service for a couple days then they said it was fixed, I still couldn't pull out the money and now I get no answers, this was two weeks ago and have heard nothing in about 5 days

    Absurd requirements just to open a bank account. Requiring your SSN card, ID card, a selfie, and proof of address in the form of pay stubs, w-2 or bank statements (lol). I'd look elsewhere.....

    The apps interface just rings that it was designed with the millennial/gen Z in mind. Simplified digital banking, with personalized recommendations that only get better the more you use it via the AI. Combines cashapp, your bank account, and a budgeting app all in one. The sky is the limit with the app!

    Extremely impressed with this well designed application! Very intuitive design, and easy to navigate. Each "Envelope" is it's own checking account with routing/account numbers for every one of them! That's a great feature. I can't wait to switch everything over after full launch. I will make my review 5 stars when instant deposit is made available.. which currently says "coming soon". Can't wait! Thank you for putting the effort into such a quality banking application

    I really love the concept of this mobile bank! I love the envelope system and I would love to use this as my primary bank. But, don’t think will happen just yet. The app is way to laggy and non responsive at times and I don’t see it being reliable at the moment if you need to go and switch your card to a different envelope right away. Once the developer fixes the lagging and non responsive issue I think I’ll give this app a shot!

    I’m a former Simple Bank user looking the next best Alternative. This seems like it could be cool but I’m concerned about the stability of the app as it keeps auto quitting when creating shared envelope. Feature Requests: 1. Joint Account - sharing an envelope doesn’t exactly cut it with my husband. We need one central location that we can use to manage and divvy from there. 2. Able to share goals like an envelope. 3. Integrations w/ money management platforms like Simplifi 4. Mobile check deposit 5. Ability to truly customize the colors. These are eye sores. 6. Tying into the above - ability to chose card color 7. Paper checks

    I’ve been looking for a good banking app with an envelope system, and this is definitely full-featured and has everything I need, but this interface is just horrible. On-boarding was missing text prompts, app design is over-crowded, and the layout is not intuitive. I’m so stressed out by using it. Maybe hire a good UX designer? I’ll revisit this app if the interface gets an overhaul, but it’s a no-go for me right now. Sorry guys.

    Terrible, I had issues one day after receiving funds to my account and since then I've had very little assistance, I can't pull out my money. I had help from customer service for a couple days then they said it was fixed, I still couldn't pull out the money and now I get no answers, this was two weeks ago and have heard nothing in about 5 days

    This app is poor I would never ever try to get anybody over to try this app I haven't received my debit card and complained about it to customer servid not one time but twice and no debit card still so I'm turning over to better vusiness bureau thanks

    Absolutely horrible support. $999 in fraud charges in one day, no updates, not answering questions. 20 days since, still no return, and won't let me transfer remaining balance out. Avoid.

    Absurd requirements just to open a bank account. Requiring your SSN card, ID card, a selfie, and proof of address in the form of pay stubs, w-2 or bank statements (lol). I'd look elsewhere.....

    No 24 hour customer service, and apparently nobody can figure out where my debit card is. It really bothers me with the lack of response and no detailed replies.

    I am so sorry I ever banked with Envel. Let me tell you why I feel they falsly advertised their bank and why I am leaving Envel. 1) They don't really have shared envelopes. 2) The one thing a bank should do is accurately track your balance. Envel reflects inaccurate numbers. Does not update after spending. 3)Customer service cannot answer questions. Impossible to receive assistance or speak with a human. 4) Randomly declines charges, yes I'm positive there is money in my envelopes.
