A Problem
Sep 17, 2017 I purchased game and Mountains expansion and everything went fine but then when I tried to purchase one of the maps it took my money, confirmed the purchase, but then said it was invalid and did not make the map available. Press on app support and there is no clear way to reach them. Game is good but how do you reach app support to report a problem??? When there are problems reaching app support I cannot give it a 4 or 5 star rating. Game was fixed and I gave it 5 stars but after recent update it immediately crashes to desktop on my iPAD with 500mb free space running IOS 10.3.3 each time I hit play. Still hard to contact support when you hit app support. The app is again 5 stars. The game is a lot of fun. And I must say that their support response to problems has been quick and efficient. They seem genuinely concerned with producing the best product possible and you cannot ask for moremore -
Jan 15, 2019 Love this app. This is a really good implementation of the board game logic and makes for a nice quick amuse-bouche. The huge range in achievements is great; there are a lot of different win scenarios to try out. The look and feel though is just what I wanted from an app of this game, hands down the best digital adaptation I've ever played.more -
Fast & good
Apr 5, 2020 While many civilization building games are marathons, this one is more like a 100 yard dash. You play cards to gain resources, which you have to balance, and choose actions from city building, raising troops, moving your troops, naval movement, destroying enemies, etc. the objective is to control regions of the board and preferably continents which you do by gaining a majority. You have a limited number of turns and curren$y to work with, and often the game is over before you know it, generally 10 minutes or so. These limitations make a quick play, but they also mean that each movie has to be thought about pretty carefully, because you don’t have time to waste. Well done!more -
Dec 29, 2018 great digital implementation of the game. really enjoying it. bought everything in their sale, i persoanlly think paying their full asking price is too much. perhaps controversial, but could be interesting to have an option to extend games by a turn or two, see how it plays differently (perhaps a new feature for developers to think about). the catan app did this by offering you the option to extend the game to 11 or 12pts - added a bit of variety to the game playmore -
Great for busy people
Jun 19, 2019 I like civilization games but my schedule doesn’t allow for long gaming sessions. This game is perfect for people like me who like the genre but only have time for shorter games. I’m so glad to have stumbled upon this one! This is very well designed and user friendly. The rule book is a fast and clear read, and between that and a tutorial game you’re good to go. The AI seems balanced to me and I’m enjoying playing against it. Even though the games are brief the strategy is deep enough to keep it interesting without being overbearing. The perfect balance for a sort-of casual gamer like me. I’m glad the game board allows for easy zooming, because even on a large phone the map and icons are small. But the zoom function here is well done and very helpful for people like me who wear glasses. I find the pricing fair for a game of this quality. I’m glad there are good developers like this one and am happy to support their monetization model. Thank you, developers!more

Fun game, but full of micro transactions
Oct 26, 2017 This game is intuitive and fun, but I’m afraid it’s not really worth the price of admission. I’m a primarily single player gamer and enjoy games that are still fun offline. Here, $5 gets you two maps. Everything else, including more maps or options cost additional money. I feel like I paid $5 for a demo version and not a full game.more -

Update fatigue
Feb 23, 2019 Are you guys seriously pushing out an update when you have a sale so you can put the 'Sale' banner on your icons? Because that's what it looks like. -

Dec 21, 2019 MY FAVORITE ANDROID GAME!! Takes a great deal of strategy! The limited number of turns per player makes this a more intense game than many I've played which involve 300 turns per player. Condensing all of those down to under a dozen turns per player makes each one count all the much more. I have considered a move more intensely playing this game than I have with many other strategy/board/card games. The different maps, expansion, and game variants make this my all-time favorite 5-star game!more

Sep 14, 2019 Really like this game. Has more depth and strategy than you might guess at first glance. One thing I would love to see fixed, can we get a custom icon for the notifications and not just a square? It isn't that hard to make that a custom icon.more -
Aug 23, 2019 Love the game, but the latest update broke online play! It says update required even though I'm on the latest version, please fix! -
Nice quick game
Sep 17, 2017 This is a fun, quick game. Make sure to turn off the high speed frames per second, it absolutely eats battery and I cannot see a difference. Text is usually too tiny, especially on my SE. Some of the button placement could be more convenient, and stronger indicators for when your movement is complete would be nice. E.g. Move the end turn button to the upper right where it's easier to press, and next to the indicator for remaining moves (which I didn't even notice for a while). Also make it bigger, why are the buttons so tiny? In general it seems like there is dead space on screen so I wish it could be used more efficiently. I'd have to think about how to make that happen though.more -
Multiplayer could use some enhancement.
Nov 25, 2017 Fun game but in multiplayer none of us get any turn notifications (asynchronous games) and you don't get any indication something was added to the room message board. Not showstoppers but definitely irritants to an otherwise fun experience.more

Multi-player needs work.
Mar 23, 2018 This a fine, faithful adaptation of a very good board. I would easily add another two stars to my review when the following issues are addressed. Most importantly there are no time limits in an asynchronous game. This means when a player abandons a game, the game goes into limbo. I have two such games hanging as I write this post. Secondly, there does not appear to be a way to set a specific numbers of players in a multi-player game. So if I want to create a three player game, I have to be constantly watching the game lobby to start the game when the desired number of players join. I’m certain the developers will address this in a forthcoming update and I will happily revise the game’s rating at that time.more -
Apr 23, 2019 worth five bucks but shouldn't lock away content when I already bought it for 5 bucks -
Nov 24, 2017 Mechanically it is similar to the board game but judging by the name and designer I was expecting the actual board game not a modified version. Would get a refund since this version is a bit simpler than the original game. -
Sep 17, 2017 LOVE the gameplay and the graphics. The AI is challenging. 1.99 to unlock each extra map and 1.99 to unlock mountain expansion seems a steep after paying 5 bucks for the app itself. The addition of a 5.00 option for all the maps make it a little less hard to swallow buying extras after. So for an additional 7.00 (amount rounded up) you can unlock all maps and mountain expansion.more -
Sep 15, 2017 Good game but far too expensive. Feeling cheated after paying for a game that is so limited without yet more money being paid.

Crashes after map pack purchase
Sep 16, 2017 Reinstall / restore purchases just leads to crashing again. -
Sep 14, 2017 A bit of a rip off, gameplay is excellent. It can be played in a very short space of time although the strategic nuances involved are deep and engaging and will take some mastery which adds to its longevity. However despite being a good game it also commands a premium price for a mobile game, which does not unlock the full game. This would not be so bad however if more content was unlocked from the offset ( only 2 maps are available), but what really adds to the feeling of being ripped off from this initial outlay are the exorbitant prices of the unlocks, which only unlock a singular map or gameplay change. To fully unlock this game would command a price in the excess of the most expensive premium android games and in the region of a full priced pc title. This is a huge shame as this really could have been great if not for the greed of the devs. Even with most recent update with the edition of a map pack for purchase does little to help the purchaser to not feeling ripped off as too little is offered from the initial outlay. What you are getting is a demo, of which you have to pay full price for, then you are then asked to outlay the same again to get the complete game. It would have been better to include more content and lower costing addons or all the content for the initial price, or offer the basic game as free with the content costing, as it is its a...Huge ripoff.more -
Garbage game
Feb 14, 2019 No intelligence at all. Wasting time.
What’s Groovy
Amazing async game. If you have a few friends this is a great casual game to play with friends. The short nature means even a long game only takes a few days!

What’s Subpar
In this game, you move armies around to control territories. But there is never any interaction between the opposing armies!
Your cannot attack another player's armies, even if you want to. You simply share territories with your opponent. And you can move your armies right through an opponent's territory, as if your opponent wasn't even there. Very odd and unrealistic.
I suppose the board game plays the same way. I've only played this app version. And although I liked the clever use of cards here, I found the rest of the game to be rather odd, and dull.
